My oppinion and experince here; At the end, what is expected

Growning up here has been THE BEST! I have been Dancing and Tumbling at this studio for over 17 YEARS! I have recently made my way into the professinal side of dance, working with some of the top choreographers and dancers in Atlanta. So here’s what I have to say about this place.
I can really say staff and team here are like family to me. All races and beliefs are welcome. The kids are taught sportmanship, responsibility, appropriateness, leadership skills , and kindness on all scales. Everything that should be tought at all studios, but sadly are not. The Owner, Works her butt off, to help everyone that she can. She has put her heart and soul into everything and everyone here. Some staff WERE not great IN THE PAST, but after taking it up *WITH THE OWNER*, she was sure to resolve it as soon AS POSIBLE. I want everyone to understand that the work put into this studio has been a famliy effort since opening. The facility is cleaned top to bottom every weekend. (though the community treats the the bathrooms like other people dont use them too) Please respect the bathrooms! The kids that are there all week don’t want to use the bathrooms by wednesdays because theres saop on the toilet seat and water all over the floor. like I dont uderstand why you dont know how to just use the bathroom and get out! Any ways…
I wish to see the studio grow with new parents, kids, teachers, and community. I would also like to say IN GENERAL. Everyone, needs to be responsible for their own actions; being a TEAMPLAYER and MENTOR, to everyone around them.
For those who are looking to be apart of KIS. Kidz In Step keeps it very professional. Remember! The world is changing, and that means so is the dance world. Staff here are very intentional that the kids are preforming appropriate dance moves, styles, and routines. And are wearing appropriate atire to dance class and for performances. Again what should be done at all studios but sadly is not.

Being a dancer myself, these are things that kept me growing. #1(Work ethic and preformance) Always keep incoraging your child to use their 5 senses. wether that is applying corrections to moves or tricks, or just learning them. That means practice! In class or out of class, your child should know the importance of it. Dance is a sport just like all other sports. With that being said…
#2 (Sportmenship) Learn how to be better humans. Always sopport your teammates. If you don’t have somthing positive to say don’t say it at all, It doesn’t matter what or who its about. NEVER tell your/a kid the status of another kids progress, like they’re awared by the ability to do somthing. Every kid growns differently than one another. Make sure that their goal is to improve themselves, not to be someone else. It fuels their fire when they have accomplished their goals and is not asked why they have those specific goals. For example,”Why cant you do this/that?”. Because again every child grows differently at differnt times.
Lastly,
#3 (Grow!) Growth is very tedious when it comes to the two sports, gymnastics and dance. KIS not asking for robots/soldiers. If you/a kid does not like these sports(If they cant focus, won’t listen, would rather take a million water break), ITS OK TO TRY SOMETHING ELSE. Maybe take a year to try other things and if they want to keep dancing or tumbling, that’s ok as well! KIS are asking for kids. Shy kids, outgoing kids, etc. when they are confident in there knowledge in a sport they love and are allowed to still be themselves they will grow Tremendously!
This is a community/competition studio, if you don’t like it, don’t go there. Thank you for reading! Also they can see if you opened your emails so read your emails!

They are VERY RACIST! Do not send you brown queens & princesses here! Let me just say Jennifer and misty are the absolute worse. They denied my daughter her costume after we paid for it. Because we cancelled services during the pandemic! we didn’t want to attend online classes. My 3 year old was NOT ABOUT TO PAY ATTENTION AND IT WOULDVE BEEN A WASTE OF Money! Misty treated us as if we hadn’t been loyal participants and simply said “it wasn’t her fault we couldn’t afford to pay it” Which was never the reason. It took Jennifer weeks to call me back only to talk about her hardships and how her husband isn’t working! I would not support them due to the fact they put on a fake smile and have a really ugly spirit inside.

Rude all the way around and VERY nasty on the phone!!!!! Misty is sooo rude and hung up on me!
Would NEVER recommend this place. They pop up imaginary fee’s, and the kids don’t learn squat! I’m glad I took my kids somewhere else to learn real gymnastics!

These folks were not sympathetic during the Covid-19 pandemic. They called harassing me for the last and final payment after I paid through the entire year on time with no issues. Like most people, I too have been out of work due to Covid. I let Misty know that I will have a payment in 30 days and she did not like my response. She said I need to refer to the policy set in place when I signed my child up and should have provided a 30 day notice. Not knowing what the future holds I didn’t just want to disenroll my child because I assumed things would hopefully go back to normal. I paid normally til the final month and I’m sorry but my kids and my home are priority right now. They will still receive payment in 30 days, but my child will no longer attend KIS.

Kidz in step is an amazing family. My daughter has always loved to dance but due to a bad experience elsewhere became withdrawn and hesitant to dance. She is also not you "normal" sized dancer and because of that she had lots of self esteem issues. Since joining KIS she has flourished in confidence and her joy to dance has returned. We just love the KIS community because everyone is treated like family. There is love and support all around.

Ny daughter is doing gymnastics here she loves it. She was very scared at first but they helped make her comfortable. Staff is really easy to work with even if you miss a day they give plenty of opportunities to make it up. Very affordable and kid friendly.

Trying to find dance classes in the Covington area for granddaughter. Website is skimpy. Pictures are
#1: 5 girls faces scrunched together
#2: the parking lot.. I think
Makes me wonder why there are no photos of instructors, owners, managers. Why none of girls dancing. If you can't take the time to take a few pictures I wonder if you take the time to care about the dance school. Not trying to be mean. Just curious.

My daughter danced with Kidz in Step Dance and Gymnastics for 12 years. Mrs. Jennifer and her entire staff helped my 18 year old daughter become the confident young woman she is today. Because of the values Kidz in Step instilled in my daughter, she is ready to start her next chapter in college. My daughter learned what is means to work as a team, what hard work will accomplish and made life time friends at Kidz in Step. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a great dance/gymnastics experience. My family and I have been truly blessed by Mrs. J. and her studio.

We have been a part of the Kidz In Step family for 5 years now and wouldn't dream of being anywhere else! It has been just what I wanted and so much more to build my girls' confidence and bring them out of their "bubbles".

The staff is amazing! Friendly, helpful, educated and fantastic role models for my children. They strive with christian principles to meet the needs of each and every family only a daily basis.

The staff is AMAZING, they treat you like family. Jennifer the owner is very creative and likes to do things for the community. My daughter went to different places with the gymnastics team and enjoyed herself. Only three stars because the area for gymnastics is very small and not enough room to get in-depth with the sport. However we always recommend this place to people with kids who are just starting out.

Love the ballet .. the instructor is awesome with my 3 yo grand daughter.. the gymnastics was a big disappointment..the instructor needs a helper with kids 3 and 4! The younger children get left out and are confused. You cannot pointt across the room and expect a 3 yo to do tumbles alone. And you certainly do not give an attitude and work only with the older easier children. Total waste of $70
