Out of all the LA fitnesses, this is the one I feel most comfortable and at home at. But we really need at least one more hip abduction machine. The one where you push your legs outwards. I’ve waited upwards of 15 mins to use the hip abduction machine. It’s ALWAYS occupied. Very frustrating. And a hip thrust machine would be amazing too. There are a million bikes that never get used and are just taking up space. These bikes should be replaced with extra equipment. PLEASE consider this!

Also it could be cleaner especially near the free weights area. Sometimes I avoid eye contact with the floor because there’s so much buildup of dirt on the ground surrounding the benches. I can tell there has been a BIG improvement in the cleanliness, but there is room for more improvement.

Monty signed us up earlier this month. He provided excellent customer service. He answered all of my father & I questions while multitasking the front desk. But what we truly enjoy most about our experience with this LA Fitness is that he greets us by our names at every visit which makes us feel like we're not just another membership number. I've been going every day since. The gym is clean the staff will restock things if asked of them. The smoothie bar is a great addition because Karmanutra has the best smoothies. I am a very satisfied member.

We moved to the area and was happy to learn LA fitness was close to our home. We went to do a tour and OHHHHMYYYY it was the worst LA Fitness ive ever seen. Its dirty the bathrooms are dirty. I like that it's hardly ever crowded, even when I go at different times. The sauna is good and hot. I haven't had an issue with people hogging two machines like at other locations. I normally have an amazing experience . I’ve been a member at the location for years. However the instructor of the Monday Mat Pilates class (Picara) definitely needs to be mindful of her attitude and ppl personal space. I told her I was about to leave the area because she was about to start a class and before I could even pick up my belongings she steppped in front of me and dropped her stuff in front of my feet like I was not there. I understand that class is held but being RESPECTFUL to gym patrons is key. I use to work at this location as well and have heard other complaints . This is just my first personal experience.

I reached out to Quan the operations manager about an upcoming community health fair. I informed him I was a student with Morehouse School of Medicine Community Health Worker Program and I was looking for donations and giveaways for the attendees related to health and wellness. Right away Quan said yes. Then when I got here I was greeted by the general manager Ken who was very friendly and onboard with helping the community. I frequently visit the old national location in Atlanta Georgia I noticed that the hot tub is gritty when you sit down, it needs repainting the grid could be too many mineral deposits. The pool the filter needs to be changed because there's a lot of dirt in the bottom of the pool and some jams have benches and seating for their customers some people are elderly and have mobility issues they also should be some types of runners or attractions around the pool because wherever there is water that means wet and that means dangerous.

Just got here and they decided that they are now closing at 6pm sundays instead of 8pm with no notifications. Gym is always dirty. The “dance” room lights have a timer of 10 minutes before you have to go back to the switch. There are literally like 10 large weight plates laying around the main gym floor. This used to be the best gym ever! It was very close to my house and so convenient for me until one day A MAN DECIDED TO WALK INTO THE LADIES RESTROOM. He walked in and did not leave when he seen he was in the wrong bathroom. I reported it to the manager and the manager did absolutely NOTHING! This review is strictly about the pool at the Old National location. I started going to the Aqua Fit class at that location in April on Monday night and Thursday night and every time the pool is freezing!!! I can’t understand what the issue is and it hasn’t been fixed!!! I pay my membership fee on time and I want all of the amenities that comes with it!!! I wanted to update this review. The Old National club has serious management issues. The General Manager is only over sales and has said, to my face, that he doesn't care about whatever problems there are. Fact: A few werks ago the air conditioning was not working and it was so hot in tbe Zumba class that everyone was complaining. We all had to keep stepping out of the class to cool off and the GM said it wasnt his problem.
How about some basic customer service? That comes from the top down and when leadership ( I use that word loosely) doesnt care, then no one cares.
I could go on and on, but the point is you will not get a quality experience at this club, so think twice before you spend your hard-earned cash!

*Still loving Christina's Zumba classes. She makes it worth it!

I go mostly for the classes... in particular Zumba on Tuesday and Thursday nights with Christina. She's amazing and the class is so much fun.

The pool is NEVER the correct temperature is ALWAYS cold (including today) and they REFUSE to fix it. Most times we just suffer through it but not today. Why should we have to? It has been this way for almost a year. Many of us have talked to local management & corporate but nothing has been done. The pool is also cracked, paint is chipping & rust stains. In fact, this facility has not been updated since it was built. The machines are old - rusted, chunks are missing. The carpet is old, frayed & stained. The wipes for sanitizing equipment are dry before you get to the machines. You see other locations being updated beautifully but they refuse is give this location the same treatment. It feels like this location is not valued within the LA Fitness organization.

The management and staff are personable. The AquaFit class led by Yvette is AWESOME. So much so that I travel between 2 clubs (Camp Creek & College Park) to take the class up to 4 times per week. So why the 1-star rating, you may ask? The La Fitness Corporation is not keeping up the facilities…especially the pools. My biggest issue is with the College Park pool. It is SUPER cold. I started taking Aqua Fit to rehab an ankle that I broke. It has worked wonders. However the pool is NEVER at the advertised temperature of 80-84 degrees. The frigid water stiffens the very joints that I am attempting to rehab. When talking to management I was told that an electrician needs to service it because the breaker continuously trips. That is definitely nothing management can control. I really hope that this review does not fall on blind eyes/deaf ear ears.

This is the sorriest La fitness I've ever been to. I travel a lot for work and go to multiple La fitness locations including city sports and THIS gym is embarrassing. It's embarrassing because it's evident by the location that they don't care to keep this place up. Equipment is always broke. We have ZERO EXERCISE BALLS OF ANY SORT .only ONE in a racquetball room but have the audacity to have it blocked off for training only. on top of that I had to personally report the entire wall mirror being broken and shattered glass everywhere while no staff had A clue , it's not like they do quality checks periodically throughout the day. The white neighborhood gyms are in much better condition than the black neighborhood gyms , yes I said it. I hope to God they build a new one in south Fulton closer to me bc I can't deal with the mediocrity here.

I’m giving this location 4 stars, not because of the staff but for the equipment in the exercise room. It is extremely outdated compared to other locations (e.g. Atlantic Station, Snellville, etc.). And some how the 2lbs and 5 lbs weights are disappearing and never enough for class.

Was very unnerved today when another guest who clearly has mental issues walked up to me on a machine and started going on about how he wanted to speak to me as he speaks to everybody but how had already been complained on by other members and was having all these kinds of issues, etc etc etc. As a female in these situations, you feel you have to be careful what you say to men as to not trigger a negative response but I waited very patiently and uncomfortably for him to walk away and I got up and left. Equipment is very old and outdated. Gym was remodeled and all the old equipment returned. Not enough cardio equipment on theel lower level.

It was unfortunate to see thefts breaking people cars at parking lots yesterday by near to 8 o’clock PM. I hope management take swift measures immediately to prevent this type of things in the future other than that it was great place for entertainment!

The general manager is extremely unprofessional. I had a 3 day guess pass and I intended on purchasing a membership after but when I walked in to this location, someone else walked in after me to purchase a membership. He actually said “I’m going to get them first because I have a membership to get.” All I needed was for him to activate my guess pass and the only reason why I waited is because I wasted gas coming here and I wanted to workout. I have never been to an LA Fitness before and I will never go again. Great job, man!

This update is long overdue, as changes have been made over 2 years ago.
Three years ago I wrote a critical review of this location. It was extremely obvious that I was not happy with the cleanliness of the gym, nor the equipment. I wanted to come back with an update for 2023. This location has done a complete 180, as far as their cleanliness and service of the equipment. The Staff manager with the dreads has come in and has really got this location together. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting the general manager at this location. I can tell he is doing everything possible to keep this location at this great standard. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The gym is extremely clean, especially compared to other LA Fitness in the Atlanta Metro area. I travel for work so I often bounce to different locations throughout the week. The old national location is surprisingly my favorite. The energy is just different here, and the staff here really is my favorite. I used to avoid this location, now I go out of my way to come to this location. I am really picky. Lol so I am really excited that this gym has such a huge turnaround.

I really wish there was a better Elite gym on the Southside that I can go to! I come here all the time. How is this gym is dirty ALL THE TIME!!??? I walked in on a Sunday morning 8AM, they had just opened. There were paper towels from the day before all over the floor in the free weight area. People had left their water bottles on the floor as if they can't walk to the nearest trash can! Why couldn't this be cleaned the night before or before opening that day??!! The equipment (specifically cardio) is rusted and old. I use the same treadmill for the most part and the TV on it hasn't worked in MONTHS!!!! WHYYYY???!!
I'm a woman and if I want to use any machine I will likely have to unload other people's HEAVY WEIGHTS! People NEVER RE-RACK their weights!! WHY!!!!????? The woman's bathroom is always out of soap. How is the dispenser out of soap and there are no paper towels in the morning?!?!?! HOW!!!???
That lil "cafe" leaves alot to be desired, it's either always closed, doesn't accept cash, slow to get your order or the attendant is in the back and you have to stand there and wait to be noticed! What kind of business model is that!?
They can't possibly be sweeping that large classroom in the back because there is always hair floating all over the floor. We get mad because we don't get stuff in, "our" communities but can't take care of the stuff we do have. DO BETTER!

I've been a member with LA fitness for about 20 years. I've been to camp Creek, tucker, Conyers, Decatur, etc. Not one time out of those 20 years a aerobic instructor shut down the hot tub to teach a class. I went to LA fitness on old national on Wednesday March 23 2022 around 5:45 to sit in the hot tub after a long day of work. Some water aerobics instructor came and said she was going to shut the hot tub down at 6 o'clock the hot
down because she about to teach a class. Never had that happen. So myself and others did not get out We pay money to come here and enjoy all the amenities! She then hit the emergency shut off button and a member actually turned it back on. That is really crazy and unheard of! Since when some water aerobics instructor have the authority to shut something down??? Cooperate please explain...
RECENTLY: I usually call 📞 before I go the college park location to see if the Hot tub is working because I don't want to make a blank trip or be disappointed after my workout. I guess they have caller ID so the young man just picked up the phone and screamed "YES"! at me..I thought I called the wrong place. That was so rude and very unprofessional dude if you don't like your job or don't like when people call and may ask a question..then go find you something else to do!!!

Would not recommend coming to classes here. I was here for yoga at 12p and the instructor was late. I waited to see if they were gonna show up and went back to the front desk they said they had started the yoga session. It was 12:15 and when I walked in the instructor said “I know you not coming to yoga. We are done”… ? I specifically came at this time to include yoga flow into my workout, he was late then was like see you next time. ??? I won’t be coming to his class again. Also, they have the LIGHTS OFF in the room that yoga is happening in and the door closed. How would someone even know you had a class if that is the case? Hard pass on Sei the yoga instructor and how he operates classes here at LA Fitness.

This is a very clean gym overall! Very spacious and organized! They have plenty of machines, cardio equipment and a very great free weight room! I'm not a big basketball player, but it's cool to be able to go in and shoot hoops for a bit when I want with no extra charge! I swam the last time I was there because I saw how clean the pool area is too and the water was calling my name! Definitely go check them out! The staff is also very friendly and capable of helping out with whatever your gym needs are!

This location of LA Fitness I’ll say is the worst location of all LA Fitness gyms I’ve been to. Oftentimes I wonder what really happened with the weights at this gym or the gym didn’t just have enough from its inception. Compared to other LA Fitness locations , this location is so short on weights (plates) and I believe the owners of this gym should do something about it . We’re the weights plates stolen or what? That’s a question someone needs to answer. The employees of this location openly will not close the gym at closing time and they still slow a lot of people that I think they know stay back . You’ll never get toilet seats covers neither will you even get tissue paper to wipe in the toilets .

This is the second week they didn’t have paper towels to dry members hands off. I bring it to the lady attention and she said “ain’t no paper towels in the whole gym” and walked off.

If I could give it zero stars I would. As I pulled up I noticed broken window glass on the ground. The staff doesn’t care about anything only just about their “ commission “. It’s very dirty in here bathroom so nasty you can’t even change due to the filthiest things in there. Staff is not attentive. Machines are dirty and my whole visit I was just irritated I did not stay more than 20 mins. Also after I got out of the pool I was very itchy and my skin started to break out really bad.
