I really like going to this location because it’s close to home and the entertainment options near it. After the remodel of the gym floor, this has become my favorite location to workout at.

You can finally get a FULL body workout and there are even some new machines I'd never seen before which is very nice if you're looking to switch up your workouts.

The staff is nice and they work diligently to keep the place as clean as possible.

I wouldn’t recommend. Pool and hot tub has been out of commission for SEVERAL YEARS. I guess corporate has just given up on this location. I dont know think they clean the floors in the locker room or sauna, a terrible stench has now stuck to the bottom of my shoes and it is the smell of these dirty non cleaned floors.

It smelled like feet as soon as you walk in and it's super small 😩 There is not that many machines, it was only empty because I came at 11am on a weekday. The pool is also closed!
The class schedule is also extremely limited which for a location in the heart of Atlanta is wild! The stretch area is just a hallway and the "athletic" area is just sad. Also no punching bags anywhere for boxing.

The positive, the basketball court was nice and packed! other than the smell it looks clean and the people there are nice and a vibe. I just feel bad if this is their closest location.

Well, perhaps if you got this far with my review, we have noticed a trend here. I won’t post pictures of their locker or pool because there’s plenty of that already. I will complain about if you’re an early riser don’t expect this gym to be open on time frequently easily within a month they’re opening 30min late between 2 to four times a month. I’m not sure how to even address this issue with management because they seem not to really do anything about it. Hopefully see this review and when they see others like it They make changes and get a bit more serious. Overall, the gym is average. It has weights they have space it gets the job done. It’s not gonna to wow you, but like I said it does the job.

I have been going to this gym consistently for 6months since I’ve moved to the area and I must say it is the most deplorable LA fitness I’ve ever been into. I recently switched from the Lenox 3535 and 3232 Peachtree Rd locations to the LA fitness at Atlantic Station. It is an extremely small gym. It feels like there is not enough lift equipment and all of the equipment is cramped together. The sauna is frequently broken (not heating up properly) because women put essentials oils on the hot sauna rocks. Also, women hang their wet clothing over the sauna area. The pool is broken and drained completely. The restroom/ locker room area is run down. Handles are broken off of multiple lockers, paint is chipped off of the walls, there is no full length body mirror, the purified water fountain was broken, and rust/ grime is building up in the sinks. It is flat out filthy. The young lady who cleans the building does the best she can. However, this entire gym needs a complete makeover. LA fitness makes too much money from paying customers to have a gym facility this rundown. There should not be that big of a difference between la fitness locations within 15 minutes of each other. It’s sad to say but Planet Fitness has cleaner and more up to date facilities than the Atlantic Station LA Fitness.

I’m walking into the gym. No one is at the front desk to greet customers, so I scan my digital card and proceed to walk to the locker room. A worker yells from a back desk “did you scan in?” I told him yes I did, but if you had someone at the front desk then you wouldn’t have to yell at me and accuse me of not scanning in. Again, this place has extremely poor customer service. Half of the time there is no one at the front desk. Other times, someone is at the desk but look at you with an attitude and does not speak.

I’ve been a member of this gym for a while now, and I've consistently had issues with their opening hours. The gym is supposed to open at 5:00 AM, but the front desk clerk is frequently late. This morning, I stood outside in the cold for 20 minutes before anyone showed up to unlock the doors.

It’s not just today—this has happened multiple times. It’s incredibly frustrating for those of us who rely on those early hours to fit our workouts into our busy schedules. It feels like a disservice to the members who show up on time, only to find the facility closed.

I really hope the management addresses this issue soon because it’s becoming a major inconvenience. If you’re considering joining, just be aware that you might not always be able to access the gym when you expect to.

I’ve been going here for nearly a year now and I have to say this is one of the most ragged LA fitness in Atlanta.

There are a couple things that make absolutely no sense:
- All of the workout benches are bolted down except for one. So if you wanna do a bench press on the Smith machine, you better Hope that the single movable bench is not being used.

- Absolutely, nobody racks their weight of this gym An employees will watch people walk away from their unwrapped weights and not call them out. I get it. I’m sure they’re not paid enough to do that, but it would be nice to go to a gym where our policy is reinforced..

- They have Single sets of the most commonly used weights: 15, 17.5 , 20, 22.5. And because no one racks anything good luck looking for them

- They have one fewer Olympic bar that needed. Which means that if you wanna do straight leg deadlifts, you better hope that no one is currently using the bench presses.

- The classes That run do not have enough weights for all the attendees so often the dumbbells go missing and will be used by people in classes for several hours. Again, because the classes are using the most commonly used weights, good luck trying to find a 17.5 pound dumbbell When a class is session

- The pool is permanently and perpetually closed. They have no plans to reopen it.

- They don’t have a policy against recording yourself or recording other others, So there are more than a handful of people setting up tripods cameras, recording themselves And inevitably recording you.

- I don’t change in the locker room anymore because everybody is taking selfies in there.

- There was a leak in the ceiling sometime ago And there are still missing tiles. There’s clear water damage coming through. That’s not the gym‘s fault, that’s definitely the landlord‘s fault. But it just kind of reminds you that you’re working out in a subpar building.

But it’s not all awful:

+ This is one of the most actively cleaned gems I’ve ever been to. There’s always someone vacuuming, someone wiping down mirrors or equipment. They do a pretty great job of keeping up after their messy clientele.

+ The staff is really fantastic. They’re probably the main reason why I keep coming back next to accessibility. They’re always friendly, chill, greeting people. I’ve never felt unwelcome. If you work at this location, you deserve a raise and you know that!

I find myself still coming here because it’s convenient, it’s easily bikeable from my house, and the staff rock. I wish the facility was better taken care of. I wish they’d order more dumbbells, provide needed dumbbells for classes, provide more curling and Olympic bars. Convert the pool to another weight room if there are no plans to reopen it.

Stuff is always broken here. They are better now but still there’s only 1/5 working stair step machines. If there were duplicates that would be fine but this is a tiny gym so anything that is broken is magnified.

The classes play their music waaay too loud. I get turn it up and be pumped but I seriously worry about participants getting hearing damage due to just how loud the music is. Shoot I worry about myself getting hearing damage walking by.

Overall there’s a gym in Ansley mall which is much better.

This gym was passable before the renovations that made it a lot smaller (albeit with increased egress …guessing insurance had something to do with it). But now it just sucks.

Oh also definitely on more than one occasion where the wipes were out. How much does it really take to keep those full?!?!? Also it’s gross when I can’t wipe down my machine after I sweat on it.

Clearly, LA Fitness gave up on this gym a long time ago. Rusted, outdated equipment (quite unbelievable). Cardio machines with broken or missing cup holders. Bikes with no straps that go around food since they're broken or missing. Broken equipment that keep us prone to injuries (Roman Chair), which they see every day, but don't bother to replace. Dirty, filthy balls that never have enough air in them. I may update this to add pictures. The the rust that can be found on the ellipticals is unspeakable. Staff and Manager are friendly and professional, so that's a nice plus. This place is a TOTAL DUMP.

Staff is unprofessional. Doing too much of nothing. This facility is the smallest of all LA Fitness in Georgia. Pool never works. This gym was bigger until they sold half the gym to the movie theater for an ice cream stand. Equipment always need fixing. No Hamstrings equipment, dumbells missing for over 2 yrs. Not worth my money.

The Atlantic Station location by far is THE worst that I visit. It’s unclean, the equipment is outdated and out of order. The wet area is closed with no reopen date in sight. The bathrooms are horrible. I joined again so I could work out on my way home, and have access to a pool and jacuzzi. There is no staff to speak of. It’s in need of a total gut job. I’m probably going back to Planet Fitness even though it’s a bit out of the way. At least they have helpful staff, functioning equipment, and real sanitation stations to thoroughly clean your equipment before and after use.

This location seems smaller and older compared to other locations . Team members don’t speak when entering or leaving .
Not much equipment or classes compared to other locations .
Only 2 out of 5 stairmasters work properly .
No turf area .

Pool and jacuzzi has always been closed since I joined. Every time i ask they say it will open next month or they give some irrelevant dates and it’s already summer. At least please open the pool!!!

I’m visiting the US for the first time and really needed for my stay here. Then found LA fitness l. I must say, Curtis - a member of the sales team gave a e element service by making the set up quick and easy. I would definitely recommend.

Had a great experience with Curtis, He could have been another scummy salesman but was completely honest and transparent with me. I’m giving him 5 stars the gym on the other hand isn’t terrible but some of the staff arrant professional and to be fair…. The gym is like a blast from the past l, could use an active pool, and maybe some more space for equipment. Thankful memberships include access to all LA fitness so I can go another one. If you do check this one out be sure to go see Curtis.

Worked with Curtis at the front desk to purchase a membership. I had some reservations about joining the club, but Curtis addresses those items and we moved forward. Initial experience is satisfactory.

Literally a “mini” la fitness….or a “Jr” la fitness…it used to be one of the largest La fitness but they condensed it to make the movie theater bigger so as a result it’s so small now. It’s fine if you’re doing arm day or just cardio since they have a million cardio machines, but DO NOT go there if you’re doing leg day during busy hours.

It's in a very convenient location but small compared to other locations. There are some great staff members and some not-so great ones. There are only two squat racks and two bench presses so these areas stay busy. The biggest negative is that the pool has been closed for over a year with no resolution in sight. For what it's worth, it's still the most complete gym in the area.

By far the worst LA Fitness I’ve been in to in my life. Not that much equipment and most of the bench press are broke. Super small! I would expect more from Atlantic Station, the one I go to in Stone Mountain and near Tucker are way better
