I just want to take a moment to shine a light on two amazing individuals at this fitness club who always bring such warmth, positivity, and welcoming energy every time I come in Crystal and Valentino.
Crystal is incredibly attentive and always takes the time to acknowledge me, no matter what she’s doing. A simple “hello, how are you?” goes such a long way, and she never misses the chance to give me that same uplifting energy on my way out, wishing me an amazing day. I’ve been to many gyms, and I’ve noticed that at most places, staff often walk right past members without a word — but not Crystal. She’s truly one of a kind, and more gyms need a Crystal on their team. The world would honestly be a better place with more people like her.
And then there’s Valentino — his presence feels like you’ve known him forever. He always takes a moment to stop, chat, and genuinely ask how you’re doing. His energy and authenticity make the environment feel so friendly and inviting.
If you want to feel good and be surrounded by great energy, come to this location and look for Crystal and Valentino — they are the absolute best!

Still No AC After a Month — Completely Unacceptable for Members

The air conditioning at LA Fitness Buckhead has been out for over a month, and since it wasn’t fixed before the colder season, it’s unlikely to be addressed until next summer. With poor air circulation, especially in the free weight area, the gym feels hot and stifling—making you sweat even without much exercise. The complete lack of updates from management shows little concern for member comfort or safety.

I just want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to Valentino at LA Fitness. My brother and I came in just to check things out, but what really sold us wasn’t just the gym it was Valentino himself. He has an incredible personality, genuine energy, and a natural gift for connecting with people.
Valentino is the kind of salesman you rarely come across he doesn’t just talk at you, he listens, understands what you’re looking for, and makes you feel like you’re making the right decision. Honestly, he could sell water to a fish, that’s how good he is. He’s not pushy at all, just confident, knowledgeable, and authentic in the way he explains things.
Because of him, signing up for a membership was a no-brainer. LA Fitness is lucky to have someone like him on the team, but honestly, with his skills and personality, Valentino could thrive in any high-level sales role. Avoid this place during the evenings. They have absolutely no sense to close the studio doors during cycling classes. The trainers blast music and shout into microphones so loud that even noise-cancelling headphones can’t block it out. It feels more like a nightclub than a gym.

People come here to work out, de-stress, and find some peace, not to deal with nonstop yelling and blaring music echoing through the gym. Clearly, they don’t care about the rest of the members outside those classes.

If you’re looking for a normal, stress-free workout, avoid evenings here at all costs.

Now that this gym has transitioned to Club Studio Fitness, the opening process and delays are unacceptable. The facility had no issues drafting two months of membership, however every issue opening and pinpointing an exact date. The delays each month ranging from being told it would open mid June, end of June, mid July, end of July, permits back on 8/8 and touring beginning on 8/15 being told the studio WILL open on 8/18 and classes begin on 8/19. As of today, 8/20 the gym is not opened yet and being told due to the pool not ready, the AC not working and painting needed to be completed. There is NO OPENING DATE INSIGHT.
On the club studio fitness Instagram, they have deleted all comments questioning the open date. However on a separate post from the studio mangers page (Eric Manthey) there is a video shown of him working out in the new Club Studio Fitness.

So far, this establishment is giving very much scam vibes and collecting as much membership dues before opening to fund the opening. This opening also seems very unprofessional and lack of knowledge on how to even open a gym. I would have assume there would be previous experience opening such an establishment, however they seem like rookies. After paying for two months upfront and not even being able to access the facility, I foresee canceling and refunds soon.

General Manager of this Location is extremely Rude. Was told my guess pass was invalid because I wanted to play basketball as well as use the rest of the facilities. EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT STATED ANYWHERE in the terms of the guest pass. Was told I would be forced to buy a membership on the spot or pay for a two week pass. This particular location is not a great one to workout at after 6pm. Aside from equipment being out of service, sanitizer things being out and paper towel dispensers missing in spots they used to be in, there is a cycling class(es) that goes on over the course of 1-2 hours. The instructor leaves the door propped open, and I can hear the music blasting all the way in the sauna. I hear the cycling class music over my own headphones and can’t even enjoy a workout after a long work day like we all come in here to do. I’ve asked for them to close the door since this a public gym and not a cycling studio, and I was told no. Hopefully something can be done since this is a PUBLIC gym and not a cycling studio. I’ve managed gyms and I’ve worked at numerous cycling studios. When a class is disturbing the gym, the class door should be closed, just like they close the Zumba room. If this does not get fixed, I will not be coming to this location anymore which is not what I want since it’s right next to the hospital I work at, so please, someone from corporate set this straight for your public members. What a waste of time. I had just relocated to the area and was gym searching. I wanted to try this place out. I requested the free pass. When I arrived they couldn’t find it, did not try to accommodate or show any effort to welcome me or try to get me in to try it. Unprofessional employees. I’ve been coming to this gym for years, mainly because of its open layout and well-arranged machines ( you’re not awkwardly facing cardio while working out.) Plus, the staff here are generally friendly.

That said, the men’s sauna is constantly out of order… it’s been down for weeks. The sanitizing stations are often empty, either lacking liquid or paper towels. Lastly, for a Buckhead gym, it’s surprising that they still have old, dirty carpet instead of updated flooring. This place could definitely use some care and attention to detail, but overall, it still provides a solid workout.

I come to LA Fitness Buckhead at least four days a week, mostly for basketball, and I always have a great experience. The staff is really, really nice—especially Miss Jackie and Kiyara! Soap is always empty. Your calf machine has been broken for at least three years now. You always have to go searching for paper towels or soap. Your dual cable cross has been broken for several months and I’m fairly certain will be broken for a couple of years just like your calf machine. Your staff is always sitting around doing nothing, and yet you still have to go searching for soap and or paper towels. Bathrooms are also gross. By far the worst run La fitness I’ve ever been to. You guys have machines in here that have been broken since before Covid. why do I have to always go searching for the sink that has soap? Upon using the locker, I found that my license was missing and I contacted the staff and they were more than understanding and helped locate it where it had fallen through the locker to another one below, saving me the need to file a police report and getting a new license.

I had a 3 day free pass to get a feel of the location, for one the sanitization wasn’t impressive. It’s paper towels but no antibacterial sprays just foamy “soap” to wash your hands with, but nothing to clean the equipment so you have to bring your own. I would’ve joined but the constant phone calls to join in ridiculous!! It’s the same person too, Randy is it??! If someone wants to join the gym they will join!! This location will constantly contact you and leave voicemails even when you don’t contact back. I had to block the number and still receive calls & voicemails about joining the gym and receiving a “deal” on the membership.

This place is getting so freaking rude to any members who are trying to work out in the evening. They locked the front door tonight at 8:30pm, while other customers were still inside working out. It's bad enough that they still haven't gone back to 10pm on Friday like before the pandemic, and I couldn't even get a mini 30-minute workout in tonight because they decided to lock the front doors during business hours! I wish la fitness hired some employees who had worked in the restaurant industry in the past, because then they would at least know how to pretend like they didn't hate their own customers when they were nearing the end of their shift and start to feel upset and sad over having to still be there. Unfortunately, the closing lot you hired couldn't have convincingly pretended they didn't hate your club members even if they wanted to, which they probably don't. I joined LA Fitness in June 2023, expecting a smooth and hassle-free experience. While the staff at my local gym have been friendly and tried their best to assist me, I've encountered a serious billing issue that LA Fitness corporate has completely failed to address.

Since the start of my membership, I've been incorrectly charged on two separate credit/debit cards—one of which isn’t even visible in my account or in their system according to them. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, including emails sent on May 29 and July 17 with detailed screenshots from my banking app, I have received no response at all from corporate. This has resulted in over $400 in unauthorized charges that LA Fitness refuses to acknowledge.

Overall, my experience at the gym itself has been positive, but the lack of support from corporate is deeply disappointing. If you're considering joining, be aware that while the local experience might be good, corporate support is severely lacking.

Not bad. I had ro drive out of NY way to the Buckhead location due to the other locations either not have a pool/hot tub or it wasn't working. Even this location wasn't working fully. They had a pool and hot tub but the hot tub jets were not working.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of interacting with Valentino at this Buckhead location and I must say, it was one of the most appalling encounters I've had with a fitness establishment. The rudeness and utter lack of professionalism exhibited by Valentino left me dumbfounded and utterly disappointed. This encounter left me so outraged that I can confidently say I will NEVER recommend LA Fitness to anyone!
