This location has consistently been disappointing. Since February 2021, I’ve visited about four times, and each experience has been poor. The facility is generally unclean, and the sunroom is frequently out of order.

Most recently, both yesterday and this morning, the location was supposed to open at 8:00 AM but didn’t open until an hour later. That kind of delay is both unfair and disrespectful to members who rely on the posted schedule.

The only reason I'm writing this review is because I just took sue's pilates class and it was freaking amazing. You have to have her. Add some more classes on Saturday and Sunday. Specifically, we would like a meditative restorative yoga class on sundays. I would also like for you to hire a spin teacher to replace Eddie. Lastly, the gym is in need of upgrades and repairs. There's mold in the fitness room and the spin cycle room has been closed for quite some time. Management needs to do better at this location.

I’ve noticed a real improvement under the new management. The staff feels more organized and welcoming. Aiden and Kyle always greet members. Anthony is also very professional, approachable, and actively present on the floor—not just stuck behind a desk.
That said, a few suggestions for further improvement:
1: Monitor handicapped parking more closely to prevent misuse.
2: Equipment could use simple maintenance (a little WD-40}
3: Keep courts available for court activities, not weight training.
4: Work on reducing downtime for out-of-order equipment.
5: Ensure bathrooms are clean and stocked with tissue paper, liquid soap, and towel service.
Overall, this is a great gym with a friendly environment, and I appreciate the positive changes the new management and staff have brought.

There’s always 4 people in the front desk doing nothing yet they always have a hard time answering the phone. One of them tries to be Mr. Funny Guy and tries to crack jokes. I've been a member of LA Fitness in Snellville for a few months now, and my experience has been a mixed bag. While the gym has its strengths, cleanliness and maintenance issues hold it back.

Strengths
Spacious Gym
LA Fitness Snellville boasts ample space, accommodating various equipment and activities.

Ample Locker Rooms
Multiple locker rooms provide convenience.

Weaknesses

Unclean Restrooms
- Restrooms are often dirty, with trash and paper towels scattered on the floor.
- Soap dispensers are empty most of the time.
-Floors are often sticky.

Missing Curtains in Bath Areas
- No curtains or dividers in bathing areas, compromising member privacy.

Sauna Room
- Sauna room is uninviting and broken most of the time.
- Temperature control is unreliable.
- Filth accumulation under the men's sauna bench is unacceptable.

Limited Weekend Hours
- Gym closes at 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, which may inconvenience members with non-traditional schedules.

Recommendation
LA Fitness Snellville has potential, but cleanliness and maintenance need improvement.

Suggested Improvements

I was able to get a good workout in as I RAN right out of this location.

The filth level was something I have never witnessed before at the gym. It was as if it was NEVER cleaned since opening. The rust, the fingerprints the sediment in the carpet. I did not want to breathe the air in that space. Skip it.

The ambiance, lighting and layout is off and the people there looked at me as if they never saw another human being (or woman).

Sorry I didnt get anymore pictures I had to limit my tuberculosis exposure.

The front desk didn't say hi but I'm sure they were sluggish from whatever illness they caught from the dirt in the gym so they get a pass for not greeting me.

This is literally the worst LA Fitness in Gwinnett County! The showers are always disgusting, there’s always a toilet broken in the women’s bathroom and the water fountain in the women’s locker room has been broken for like 3 weeks. It’s a huge inconvenience for people who are coming from the sauna and need water. They’re starting to crack down on the “guest passes” yet they haven’t cracked down on the cleanliness. For each person to pay $30-$40 monthly and for us to have so many broken bathrooms, broken showers and etc is ridiculous!! I just left and I’m extremely upset that the shower was allegedly just cleaned by that older black lady yet there was still trash and hair in the shower. It’s like she’s literally just mopping hair around using toilet water. These conditions are absolutely preposterous and diabolical!

I recently moved into the area and needed a membership for 2 months. The "sales rep" told me that was no problem and I could do that for the normal monthly rate of $59 per month (the actual rate is $29) but he lied. I asked repeatedly if the membership would be canceled in two months because I was moving and didn't need it longer than that. He assured me that would be the case. However, after signing the agreement, I was charged multiple times after the two month period for hundreds of dollars. Basically, DO NOT SIGN UP HERE. The sales reps rip you off, lie and the gym is very dirty anyways.

The cleanliness of the place as a whole has seriously declined in the past few years in my opinion. The floor looks completely abandoned and hasn't been vacuumed in who knows how long. The men's bathroom is often lacking either soap or paper towels and the toilets are best not described.

Been going here since July of last year. It is good for what it is. Since Olu came into the picture, as a morning team member, it’s been a lot better. He is on the floor checking in on people, very friendly and personable. If I address any small issues he makes sure to fix it. Makes being there so early motivating. We go at the 5 am slot time so I can’t speak for any time after. I have noticed a shift in how the gym looks upon opening. It used to be more clean and well kept recently I’ve seen more weights and equipment scattered all over the place and not racked. Not sure if that is a night time crew thing, outside of people not having proper gym etiquette. Again the gym is good for what it is. I enjoy the machines, the people and the cleanliness is better from what I first started going.

Dude was very honest. He said if you plan on using our extra amenities choose us. If not, go with Planet Fitness it's cheaper. My daughter goes to LA Fitness so I'll decide in about 2 weeks. He gave me 14 day guest pass when it could've been 7. He had daughter send me this link. The place seems nice and the stuff seem friendly and helpful. If it's in yoir budget, you'll like it.

Nothing wrong with the facility but, oh man, try and cancel your membership!! No easy task. My cancellation letter that I sent to their head office just disappeared! Called the Snellville branch and told them I'll be coming in to cancel my membership, was told the manager will be here until 4 pm today. Guess what, got here before 3 pm. No sign of any manager!!!!! Had to scribble a cancellation note once again and handed it over to the nicest cleaner there, Gamboa! Let's hope someone gets back to me this time. Feeling quite fed up right now.

Cleanest LA Fitness I have been to in Gwinnett County! The staff is super friendly & attentive to all needs of their guests. There is a lot of equipment for all sorts of workout levels & the trainers are extremely helpful!

Since when does gyms have bank hours? I don’t get it. They continue to reduce their hours but the membership fee is the same. LA fitness is not the cleanliness gym with the most friendly staff but want to continue to charge as if they are such…. I don’t know. It’s becoming a scam

I recently visited this location and I must express my disappointment with the condition of the facilities. This is one of the dirtiest locations I have ever encountered. The showers were unclean, lacked curtains and soap, and had an unpleasant smell.
