Tried this gym out only for two weeks (as someone who works out weekly and has been at an LA fitness in another state) and genuinely the only thing good about it is how spacious it is. Besides that- the equipment is outdated and rusted. The treadmills are shaky and some of the emergency STOP buttons don’t work. Even on the stairmaster. There’s mold on the shower curtains and black spots on the shower walls. & it doesn’t matter how early you go, the restrooms are dirty. It looks like they never have a cleaning staff. I am moving so I canceled only after two weeks, but even if I wasn’t, I wouldn’t stay here. They also charged an annual fee after two weeks, but due to the unsanitary conditions, I will definitely be disputing the charges.

Huge facility with all the right amenities—but it’s rough around the edges.

LA Fitness has everything you could want in terms of space and equipment variety, but it’s just not well maintained. Many treadmills rattle loudly or need repair, and the machines and bathrooms often feel like they haven’t had a proper deep clean in ages—think mystery splatters and worn-down surfaces.

The staff is great and the location is super convenient, but the upkeep doesn’t match the potential of the space. With better maintenance, this gym could easily be a five-star spot.

I've been hitting the gym for 30+ years, and I have never had a personal trainer better than Alyster, a trainer at this location. Alyster is experienced, easy going, and incredibly knowledgeable about our bodies and what works best for each client. What made even more of an impression: I've observed Alyster work with a wide range of clients -- the elderly, those new to fitness, people dealing with physical challenges -- and seen him treat them all with great kindness and encouragement. Need a trainer? You just found him.

Otherwise, this gym is the best LA Fitness I've visited. Clean, modern, and a huge setup of equipment, including basketball and racquetball courts. It also has a friendly vibe.

Exercise classes have a shortage of mats only six for the entire class. This started on Labor Day continues. Spoke to the person at desk pretty much slowed his shoulders and just said will people take them and use them outside. But there are none on the floor there should be done. If they advertise the equipment available for these classes as they sponsor, they have to make sure they really have the equipment.

I’ve been going to the LA Fitness on North Lake for a bit now, and overall, it’s a pretty solid gym. The facility is clean, and I appreciate that they have stations with wipes and sanitizer for cleaning the machines after use — definitely a plus for hygiene.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, and I generally feel comfortable working out here, whether it's during peak hours or quieter times.
The only downside I've noticed is that some of the machines are a bit rusty or worn, which might just be due to age. It doesn’t affect functionality much, but a little maintenance or upgrade wouldn’t hurt.

This is one of my favorite LA Fitness locations in the area. I started coming here regularly while dropping my son off at work and it’s become part of my early morning routine.

The square footage is generous, and the gym is well-zoned: upper body, lower body, cardio, machines, and free weights are clearly separated, which keeps the flow smooth. Everything is always racked properly not once have I seen weights left out of place.

The 5 a.m. crew is small and focused. There’s plenty of space to train without crowding. The facility stays clean, especially the floors and machines.

Only note: the cycling room is smaller, so it fills up fast when you get a strong instructor on the schedule. Arrive early if you’re planning to join a class.

Overall: clean, efficient layout, top-tier energy. Easily one of the best LA Fitness gyms in the area.

I had high hopes for LA Fitness, but unfortunately, it's been nothing but frustrating. The gym is overcrowded at almost all hours, with broken equipment that stays out of service for weeks.
Cleanliness is clearly not a priority — locker rooms are dirty, showers are moldy, and there's barely any soap or paper towels.
Customer service is even worse. The staff are either uninterested or downright rude, and good luck trying to cancel your membership — it's like jumping through hoops. The "trainers" seem more focused on upselling than actually helping.
I expected a professional, well-run facility, but this place feels neglected and mismanaged. Definitely not worth the money. I'm switching to a local gym that actually values its members.

Why can't people put dumbells back in their proper place? You have to hunt for them....they are never returned to the proper marked spot....people are constantly racking 45# plates in front of 10# and 25# plates....seriously??? I don’t even know where to start, but something seriously needs to be said about how terrible this LA Fitness location has become. First of all, the front desk staff are incredibly rude and completely disengaged. Every time I walk in, they’re either staring at their phones or chatting amongst themselves, barely acknowledging members. It’s like we’re an inconvenience to them, not paying customers.

To make matters worse, the overall condition of the facility is disgusting. Equipment is dirty, trash is often left around, and it doesn’t look like anything gets cleaned regularly. What’s even more frustrating is that the staff — the ones who are supposed to be maintaining the gym — are using it like it’s their personal hangout. Instead of working, they’re working out or lounging around while the place falls apart.

And now, to top it all off, they’ve started kicking people out of the sauna at 9:45 PM, even though the gym is supposed to close at 10. What the hell is that about? People plan their workouts around the posted hours, and cutting them short with no explanation is ridiculous.

This place is going downhill fast, and unless something changes soon, more and more members will be walking out — and not through the front doors, but for good

LA Fitness should consider going back to extended hours on the weekends. A suggestion would be if the fitness center is closing at 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday at least consider staying open later on Fridays until 10 pm. Last time I visited this gym was 2004-2007 range. I was in the area for an appointment and decided to get a quick workout in. The equipment is still the SAME!! Except with rust added. The knobs to adjust the settings are rusted over; it's a struggle to pull out. It's clear they don't overgo routine maintenance except IF people wipe them down after they're done.

As a member of LA Fitness, I genuinely enjoy working out here. The machines are great and help me get a good workout in, and I've noticed that the cleanliness of the gym has definitely improved.

However, one area that I believe needs attention is the dress code. Some of the attire worn by women in the gym can be quite revealing, which can make it uncomfortable for others while they’re trying to focus on their workouts. I think having a more defined dress code would help create a more respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.

I was on vacation in the Atlanta GA area around the Christmas season visiting relatives. Needed to continue my workouts while in the area and both my daughters suggested LA Fitness, with a location in Tucker, GA. Met Greg and the rest is history. Thought I'd have to pay some type of fee, and ended up with a free pass if I'd let my daughters and families know where I was going to work out, hand them a few business cards if they had an interest in joining in the future, etc. Ends up my one daughter and partner had a membership that Greg signed them up for 8 yrs earlier. Husband of the other daughter had a membership there previously until his employers insurance changed. I've never been in such a big facility with so many amenities. It was in heavy use all my 4 visits to the business. Equipment was great, well maintained and everyone was very friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience to keep my workouts going. I can't thank Greg and LA Fitness enough for make this possible. When I visit again, I WILL be back. God Bless and have a great new year!!!!

It was fine at first but the gym has a lot of big roaches both in the locker room and out of it. The wipes rarely get stocked so you’ll have to bring your own wipes, and it takes months for an equipment to get fixed. I have been struggling with getting someone to cancel my trainer membership! I have spoken to THREE people and NO ONE has followed back up with me. Jess in particular has promised she would call be back for 2 days and I STILL haven't heard from her. I have a trainer membership contract that was not fulfilled as I was told at the beginning it would be. My trainer Q has continuously rescheduled on me at the last minute after we initially discussed times and days that worked for me. I was informed prior to signing SCHEDULING WOULD BE ON MY TIME, I WOULD RECEIVE MY SESSIONS, AND ETC. I HAVE NOT HAD A SESSION IN A WHOLE MONTH due to this trainer inconsistency regarding our appointments . Funds were taken out of my account but I haven't had a session in a month. I informed this trainer I wanted to cancel my membership weeks ago due to him constantly rescheduling my sessions for times we did not discuss prior to signing. How do I spend my hard earned money for no sessions and now since I want to cancel I'm told I have to pay 400 to cancel because of the contract which is unheard of. I planned to fulfill my contract in full until September but due to this trainer basically scamming me out of my money and me having no sessions in over a month I dont understand why I have to pay for his negligence!!!!!! I can see if it was something on my end but it is NOT! This is all on the trainer Q who continuously let me down on several occasions with no sessions in over a month but my money was taken! I have spoken to the manager several times and I have not received any help with this situation. I have no faith in la fitness nor this trainer which is why I informed him why I wanted to cancel with no fees. The fees should be for him and not me for wasting my money and giving me false hope prior to signing just to get in my pockets. If I had ANY IDEA this would happen I WOULDVE NEVER SIGNED UP but I was mislead,misinformed, scammed,and taken advantage of! I want to cancel my trainer membership and just be done with it overall. I went as a guest, and all I can say is I can't work out in public places because the majority of the people do not clean machines before or after they use them. The ladies' bathroom is disgusting. Tissues, paper towels, water, hair, all over the place. The bathroom looks like no one has ever mopped the floors. The company really needs to hire people for general maintenance. What’s wrong with this LA Fitness it’s getting so bad service and nasty smell bad everywhere showers are very very dairy and old. They need to do something about it. I don’t recommend people go there the sauna and Jacuzzi smell super bad. I am surprised to see all this negative stuff.

Best one for leg day. They have a nice lying leg curl that moves your torso as you curl, so your lower back is protected and focus on just hammies and glutes.

A single leg glute machine which is really nice to finish off back of the legs.

Leg extensions are standard, work well. Plate loaded leg presses are also nice quality. I enjoy the standing ham/glute kick machine as well.

I legit won’t go anywhere else for leg day. This gym is it 5 ⭐️

I like this location! Swimming is my favorite activity. The heater in the pool has been broken for at least the last 2 weeks. I can’t wait for it to be fixed so I can get back to my regular routine.

More gym benefits than you'll ever use. It may be pricier than convenience gyms but the space provides more private exercise and separated for different types of training experience. In 13 years I've had very few occasions where I had to wait for any equipment.

Great gym love to work out there. Only problem is in a day and age were Carona an the flu is running rapid they never keep sanitizer for you to clean equipment wipes are always out or handsanitzer always empty. I find this in a lot of them as I go to different ones. As a breast cancer patient still in treatment I take precaution. If they not going to keep the wipes fill or the dispenser they need to go back to the bottles of spray cause at least you could find one sitting an spray equipment after telling management nothing still has change. If it wasn't for that I would have given them a 4 star

I came to your facility on Sat., Jan. 26th. I took a 3 hr Bachata lesson from Gabriel Torres, which was totally awesome 💯 thank you for your positive attitude and welcoming. We love your facility and hope to learn more each time that we visit.

I recently started working out at this particular LA Fitness. It is awesome. The facility is clean and very well maintained. The staff is highly professional and friendly. This is absolutely an excellent place to come and work out. Plenty of amenities. Love this place. 5 stars all the way.

Review is based on solely Jamal, who opened my membership. Very sweet individual, I was hesitant with continuing to come to this specific location but one day after working out Jamal came up to me and told me to have a good day using my first name. Always greets me and other guest and is friendly. And not in the fake friendly way just to get business no like in a sincere manner. This is why I will continue to come to LA fitness 😊

Theres a girl at the front desk named Shay she was very rude and impeded my workout she was super aggressive saying she would deny me entry because i owed a balance. I called corporate and was told as long as in my app its not red i have entry to all clubs my account was frozen because i was getting random charges from Amazon. Shay who i found out is not even supposed to be at the front desk because her official title is Custodian she is apart of the janitorial staff had no customers service so not sure she was at the front desk to harass me in the 1st place. Her attention should go to cleaning the basketball court because it is always slippery from dirt and dust, hasnt been actually mopped in months. Guys have been rolling their ankles and or falling because the court is too slippery. If LA Fitness is going to harass people for payments the least they could do is have the facilities clean

Terrible experience, I came in around 7:30 pm and was greeted by the front desk operator with a nasty attitude (she was a light skinned heavy set girl). Very rude might I add! She brought up the fact that I needed to update my billing information with so much hostility and I calmly explained the situation with card. She had no empathy or understanding with me and demanded that I pay my bill right that moment and I just couldn’t because of my card issue. I didn’t know that $15 commission check was that serious but anyway. She talked at me 5 extra minutes and told go on. 10 minutes later I go to the gym to play ball and come in the gym with the manager pointing at me and harassing in front of all the guests, embarrassing me and making me feel unwelcome so I grabbed my bag and left. As I was leaving the another employee follows me outside and proceeds to yell profane language at me.

La Fitness has dropped the ball in so many ways, it used to be a safe place where people could come enjoy a good workout go home but it seems like the complete opposite of that now. People fighting, they hire anybody who fills out an application and their all rude, greedy, nasty, and obnoxious employees. Dirty equipment and facilities, the basketball court are always dirty and slippery. No paper towels.
I think I’ll be signing up with Lifetime Fitness.

My credit card was compromised so I had to request a new one. Unfortunately, I had to wait for my new card to arrive. LA has called NUMEROUS times even after explaining my situation. They all have been pushy and rude and no one seem to understand that I have not received my new card to update payment.

Never again, I am going somewhere else.
