For the past 2 Sundays (to my knowledge) there's been a woman who comes into the lady's steam room at around 7:30pm. she scrubs her feet and shaves her legs in the steam room and leaves all her DEAD SKIN and razor parts on the steam room floor.
I notified the office staff last Sunday (11/22) about it, the girl came and cleaned up this woman's nasty mess. Then this past Sunday (11/30) I saw the same woman go into the steam room with her grooming tools! I called the front desk and told them, no one came to speak with her or stop her. then after the lady was done, I called again to say "hey, now she's done and her nasty nasty dead skin is on the steam sauna floor................."
How many more Sundays needs to go by before this lady is held accountable? this membership is over $300 a month.
Next time, I will take pictures of her mess and post it up on this review if nothing is done about her.

I’ve always been able to find a parking spot when I go. I do wish there was a quiet place not playing music to take work calls.

Gonna try to give a balanced review on this unlike some of the folks that think leaving a one star review is gonna make a parking deck appear
The pros
- The gym equipment. I was a member at LA fitness before this and the quality, quantity, and variety of machines absolutely blows the more budget friendly gym options out of the water. I can pretty much always do my workout in the order I want with the equipment I want without having to wait. The machines are also well maintained and get fixed quickly when they do break down. There’s also no shortage of lifting platforms here. I would love maybe one or two more benches but once again, I usually never have a problem getting one.
- The staff. The staff has always been super kind and responsive to me the few times I’ve had questions. Friendly when I come in, friendly when I leave.
- Amenities. I can’t speak for all of the amenities but the ones I do use are typically well kept. The tennis courts are nicer than most of the other facilities in the area and I can pretty much always get one. I don’t understand the locker room complaints. They’re clean in my eyes but maybe I have different standards.
- The hours. One of the primary reasons I upgraded gyms was because LA fitness kept cutting their hours back. This location is open until midnight during the week and 11 on the weekends. I live nearby and take full advantage of being able to pop over at 9:30 on a weeknight and pretty much having the entire place to myself. I’m not a morning person but they open at 4 if that’s your jam.
- Spaciousness. This kind of goes hand in hand with my first point but having wide open spaces with natural light coming in makes working out feel way less like a chore. Even at peak hours I don’t feel cramped inside.
The cons
- It’s as pricey as all hell. Don’t get me wrong, I knew what I was signing up for but every month I question myself when it hits my credit card. If there was something in the 150 range as close to me as life time is, I’d heavily consider it but being so close, I kind of just think of it as paying 330 on top of my housing expenses to have a nice gym I can pop into anytime. This extends to any paid services as well. I was surprised to learn that not only are most of the classes paid services, they’re more expensive than the same quality of class that you’d find outside the club. I’ve enjoyed the few things I’ve had at the life cafe but the prices there are just absurd. The business model really does feel like it’s aimed to milk all the people with more money than sense. The one good thing about paying so much here is that I’ve been able to access any life time I’ve tried across the country. Silver lining I suppose.
- The parking. This is a real concern and I do absolutely consider that when planning my day. No shot I’m trying to park here between 5-7 on a Monday. A lot of the spots are really tight and if you’re still trying to bring your F-250 here on Monday at 6:30 you’re a damned fool.
- The outdoor pool. It’s small and the few times I’ve used it, it felt like I was at a water park for small children. I don’t hate kids or anything, it just wasn’t what I expected.
- Some of the clientele. My first week here, I heard some dude in the locker room unironically talk to his buddy about surrounding himself with other “high value people”. I know these folks are in the minority but naturally the high prices here skew the population towards the wealthier side and unsurprisingly, some of these folks are a little snobby. I see more unracked weights here than I ever did at LA fitness and that place had a serious problem with it. A personal butler is not included with the price, clean up after yourselves.
Overall, I do really enjoy it and don’t feel like the value is too bad. The price really does make it hard for me to give it any more than 4 stars though. If it was even a little more expensive or I lived a little further away though, I might reconsider. 3.5/5

My wife and I have been members since January and absolutely love Life Time. I truly look forward to going to Life Time every day in way that I never really have before at any other gym. The facilities are excellent, the gym is spacious and immaculate, and the trainers and classes are world class and have really inspired me to do things outside my comfort zone and strive to improve my health. The welcoming environment and amount of options have allowed me to try things I never thought I’d get into—crossfit style classes, yoga, and Pilates to name a few—and given the sheer amount of activities and things to do it’s a pretty good deal. If you’re going to splurge on something, it may as well be your physical and mental health.
But the reason I’m writing this review today is to commend the staff for recently going above and beyond on customer service. Due to a temporary hardship, my wife and I have had to temporarily pause our membership for a bit. This did not come easily, but we ultimately realized that we had to either pause temporarily or end up cancelling. We really didn’t want to cancel given how positive it’s been for us, so I reached out to management explaining the situation. Jenna was extremely kind and graciously offered to let us pause for the length of the temporary hardship, so we don’t have to quit and then rejoin as new members later. It’s been a pretty difficult time, so Life Time being so understanding and gracious about working with us on a solution really meant a lot to me. I’ve made enough friends in classes or on the weight floor that this already felt more like a community than a gym, but Jenna’s customer service really reinforced that community feel. I’m already missing LT now that our membership is temporarily paused, but thankfully I can still use the app’s cardio and bodyweight workouts while taking advantage of the fall weather. I’m looking forward to coming back and know that we’ll be members for as long as we live nearby.

The parking situation seemed to have improved but it comes with a cost. They have less group classes available at 3,4 and 5 PM for adults and mostly kid classes. I have ended booking at other clubs around this time because this location got rid of them. Amenities are nice but for the price, they should offer the variety of classes and times other Lifetime locations do.
Also, they need to monitor the Handicapped parking spaces. I see luxurious cars either no Handicapped sticker just park there. The fact that people with a luxury car feels entitled to park on these spaces is awful and they should be fined

The indoor pool is the best!
Absolutely fantastic experience at Lifetime. I used to be a member at WH Alethic which was good but not great. Had been looking for a replacement gym for months until I was convinced by a Lifetime Instructor - Erica Jago - to check them out.
I did and have had the best experience since joining. Great atmosphere, very clean and organised with exceptionally friendly staff.
Highly recommended!

I hate to leave bad reviews on anything. But this lifetime is not good. They cheaped out on so many things from the previous club it's astounding. First of all the parking is ridiculous that's been covered in many posts already so I'm not going to elaborate on that. The pool outside is a complete joke they should have expanded the pool and have less seating and I don't want screaming kids all over the place during the day. Also, the men's sauna steam room wet room is also a joke, they cheaped out on everything here. First of all they made the steam room smaller they expanded the sauna they added cold plunge which is okay I guess, I don't use it that often. There is not enough seating around where you can just simply relax, before they had chaise lounges around the wet area, now you feel like if you sit down they want you to get out as fast as you can. Also the lighting in the sauna and steam room are a joke, sometimes it's up so high you can't even see what you're doing they ought to just turn the lights off it's more relaxing experience. I don't want light everywhere I go and the wet area is lit up like a cafeteria. I'm totally reconsidering our membership.
Follow up. 9-15-25, I am canceling my membership here. It just not an enjoyable experience, and for $459 a month for two people It is just insanity

*updated in response to Lifetime’s reply to my first review:
The core issue is **amplified outdoor sound**. Normal pool/court activity is expected; what’s not reasonable is microphones and speakers for classes and parties carrying into our homes.
Whether weekday or weekend, **8:00 AM is too early** for amplified instruction. Yesterday I woke up to an instructor on a mic coaching breathing at 8 AM through my window—while this may not be as obnoxious as the “get pumped” vibes of other outdoor classes, it is still entirely disruptive to the people in the neighborhood. And while you may not run *classes* at 11:30 PM, you do host late outdoor watch parties (e.g., Love Island). Meeting the minimum daytime ordinance isn’t the same as being a respectful neighbor.
Claims that staff “turn it down when asked” don’t match our experience. When I and other neighbors have called, volume hasn’t been reduced; we’ve been told nothing can be done or to call the police—an unnecessary use of public resources. Neighbors have lost tenants and struggled to rent due to the noise.
Thank you for bringing up the period of time when you first opened when the music played 24/7. That is another thing we’ve endured. While that was resolved—it took so much to get that done. We also had to go through months of your staff learning how to use the PA—making outdoor loudspeaker announcements at 11:30, 11:45, and midnight that the club was closing was not pleasant. We are no longer even complaining about the all-day and evening music; we are specifically trying to connect with someone empowered to address the **additional outdoor noise from classes and events**.
I am glad to hear that you have an interest in starting to be good neighbors. **I’m asking for a meeting with someone empowered to fix this.** I’m available one-on-one, with adjacent neighbors, or with the **LaVista Park Neighborhood Association**.
It is no longer reasonable to continue to shift the responsibility to the neighbors to notify the club of each instance. Consider this my notice that **every outdoor class or event using amplification is too loud** for this residential area. Please call me or email me, or reply here with the contact of who can host this meeting.

Previous Review:
As a member since before it opened- and a person who lives behind the club’s outdoor pool…I have to say this club has serious problems.
This club holds outdoor classes at the pool starting as early as 8 am on the weekend & as late as 11:30pm on a week night. By holding these outdoor events they are being completely disrespectful neighbors.
We in the surrounding area have to already endure endless noise from the outdoor pickle ball games, tennis games, social events, and the normal noises at the pool. It is the extremely loud speakers and microphones they additionally use during outdoor classes that makes this intolerable. They have DJs set up during parties and no one is there to set any limits.
Their staff members all shift blame and not one of them are empowered or willing to do anything to be reasonable neighbors to the people that have lived here before they decided to move in.
This is a neighborhood. Many staff members have said to me that there was a gym here before they came (and therefore they should not be concerned about their noise levels- because I bought my house knowing there’s a gym). Well, there was a gym- they never made any amount of noise.
My neighbors are real people, with children (they play inappropriate music for little girls to be listening to), with babies that have sleep schedules, doctors that work long hours, paramedics that work night shift, and people who want to sleep in if they so please.
As members, people should not be encouraged to engage in such disregard for the community- and Lifetime should care about the community they chose to join- not only the other way around.

I’ve been to dozens of athletic clubs and gyms throughout Atlanta, and this Life Time is hands down the best in town! The facilities are top of the line, the staff is beyond friendly, and the fitness classes are incredible. My favorite class is DANZE

Dropping stars because the noise level from the Alpha classes is out of control. Please get it together with a modern system like networked headphones so that class participants (as well as those of us doing independent or partner workouts on our own) don't have to trade hearing damage for a workout. It's honestly such a an embarrassing topic of conversation among the people I've referred to this gym, and I'm pretty sure a couple of my gym friends won't be staying if it continues.

We've been members of NDH since opening day. THE GOOD: Joshua, class selection and availability, never a wait for machines, the locker room spa/rejuvenation area. THE BAD: Parking, Lifecafe food, Lifecafe Service, Lifecafe prices, equipment wipes are always in need of refilling. THE UGLY: The pool! The pool is a dated joke and should have been upgraded with the rest of the facility. Also, we pay over $400 a month for a "premium" membership, so you'd think pilates, pickleball and tennis would be included classes but they're not. Personal training is also ridiculously priced. Most staff connections are not genuine because every exchange for me has ended in some form of a sales pitch to personal train, buy something or sign up for something that eventually leads to me buying something as if we don't spend enough for membership. I had a trainer interrupt my 15 minute massage chair session with small talk that ended up being a pitch for personal training.Enough already. While I'm on that note, at over 400 a month this gym needs way more than 3 hydromassage chairs that are regularly out of order. Then when I report the non working chairs or anything else for that matter to the front desk, they're ridiculously non chalant with no sense of urgency about resolving anything. Did I mention the pool has to go??? There should also be adult only pool hours. The small pool is mostly monopolized by families with kids. So much for relaxing by the pool with a drink.

Would prefer 3.5*. Caveat this review is taking the cost into account. As a gym, it’s very high quality. Great equipment, great locker room amenities, and I’ve liked the classes a lot. But there are some downsides that are pretty upsetting for a gym you pay ~$350 a person. The café is ridiculously priced (more than most restaurants) and it’s so mid/bad and also takes forever. The pool area is pretty sad, it’s more like a motel pool. The craziest thing is no one has thought to put umbrellas up in any of the chairs around the pool, so unless you pay for a cabana, you’re in the sun! There was a water fountain that just didn’t work for months. It’s little stuff like this that the management really needs to fix when you’re paying this much.

i'm a single mom, work from home, moved to atlanta 1.5 years ago, and was pretty isolated. joining lifetime north druid hills has honestly changed everything for me.
the vibe here is just different. instructors treat each other like family and it flows over to members too. whether i'm in the locker room, sauna, or cold plunge there's always someone cheering me on or telling me to step out of mediocrity. love that energy.
shoutout to the instructors who work with my crazy schedule and help me become stronger - Alison V, Lia P, Sami C, Malvika S, Sarah Beth N, Kristin W. these women push me every class and i'm here for it.
being able to bring my daughter while i work out is huge. she does martial arts 2x a week (we love you Ms Wednesday!) while i get stronger in classes. perfect setup for both of us.
i used to only practice at yoga studios but now i get weight training, endurance training AND the yoga i emotionally and spiritually need all in one place. exactly what my body and mind needed.
working from home as a solopreneur in a new city - i needed community and didn't even realize it. getting trained and hired here while being a member gave me the family i was missing. forever grateful for this place.
this is more than a gym if you let it be.

Dear LifeTime,
Please clean the locker rooms and gym equipment. There is hair and dirt on the locker room floors & lockers themselves every single day. The gym equipment is not consistently wiped down, and has nasty residue building up.
When we were members at Lifetime Sandy Springs, which is much larger and has significantly more members, the locker room was always immaculate.
The staff is awesome and we always have a great time!
However, are paying $470/m and would love to exercise in a clean facility. If we wanted a dirty gym we would go to LA Fitness. Thank you. 🙏

I want to leave this review to clarify a few things. For a place that claims to be the number one in the estate of GA and charges such high monthly fees, this club is extremely overrated. It’s dirty and poorly maintained.
One of the main reasons I signed up was for the cryo gel bed, and it’s been out of service for three weeks. The recovery area does not receive proper maintenance—the massage beds smell bad, and the compression boots are always dirty.
I truly believe this club should focus more on quality rather than volume. The bathrooms are sometimes disgusting, just like the steam room and sauna.
If you’re going to call yourselves the best and charge premium prices, then act like the best.
Thank you.

I'm leaving a review based on the services that Lifecafe provides. All other LifeTime locations except this location ( N. Druid Hills) would allow you to pick your mix-in instead of being forced to select between a mix-in plan on the menu. For example, I can add almond milk, almond butter, whey protein, and bananas at other locations. At N. Druid Hills, you must pick something like The Game Changer, a little cube pre-mixed. For $329 monthly you should be able to select what you what you want in your protein shake.

The Tennis and Pickleball programs are run by complete amateurs.
Tennis- Look what they did to the tennis courts... fenced dividers leaving only 6 feet of space. These go against USTA and ITF court guidelines and pose a safety threat to players. Out of my 20+ years playing tennis including at the collegiate level, I’ve never seen fenced courts like these. Management has been completely useless and unresponsive. All they care about is selling overpriced drills. The courts are also missing basic things you’d expect from a “country club” that charges $330 a month. Things like trash cans, towels, water coolers. The tennis department head is resigning soon so nothing is getting done and there is no succession plan from what I’ve heard. Members have had to contact executive leadership at lifetime because local management is completely useless.
Pickleball - there are dozens of dead spots on the outdoor courts. Members have complained but nothing has been done. The open plays are not run well. The 4.0+ open play is a waste of time, they let anyone play and it’s mainly 3.0s… not fun at all.
Parking - it can be a freaking nightmare. Good luck finding a spot Monday-Thursday between 5-7pm. People are illegally parked in handicap spots, on curbs, blocking fire exits, etc… what a mess. If I'm paying $330/month I should be able to find a parking spot without circling the lot for 15 minutes. The spots are also way too narrow, if you drive a full size or truck you will be on the lines. They claim to be on a "waitlist" but I think that's bs. I see people getting tours and singing up every time I'm there.
Other random things: the outdoor pool is laughable. It looks like a kiddie pool. They had the space to build something appealing but they cheaped out and left the same pool the previous club had. The steam room is not very good. It’s small and barely enough steam in there. Theres only one person working the front desk usually. This causes a line of people trying to get in.
If this was a planet fitness I wouldn’t care but this place charges $330 a MONTH. It’s one of the most expensive gyms in the country. You would expect much more. This club had so much potential but it's run by clueless people. Just very poor planning by Lifetime.

The weight room is nice with plenty of machines and racks. The class schedule also provides plenty of variety.
However, the tennis program at this club is a sad afterthought. There are no trash cans, sun protection for the benches, or water coolers on any of the courts. This seems like the least they could do considering the exorbitant monthly dues. There are also fences in between adjacent tennis courts that are dangerously close to the sideline (6 ft), making the courts totally unsafe for match play. If you care about tennis, don't join this club. If you only care about the other amenities, it's fine.

I will update my review when the unacceptable outdoor pickleball courts have been fixed. It’s the reason I joined this club and it needs to be addressed immediately. Put up fences, fix the dead-spots, and give your members what they are paying for.

I honestly wish that I could give negative stars on this review. We have only been members here for a few months but we will be cancelling our membership. Although the club is nice inside, there were some definite corners cut in the overall development of this old club into a new Lifetime Club. Let me start with the worst issue they have, Parking! We pay over $500 monthly to be members and the parking here is ATROCIOUS. If you have a luxury car, or any car that you care to keep in good condition, you would be best to find another fitness club. Key Issues are: 1.) There is not enough parking for the number of members. Because of this, people are parking in fire lanes blocking off rows so that cars cannot drive fully around so they have to try and turn around in a crammed aisle and go back out of the same way they entered. This is very dangerous and not just for the people but for the cars. I cannot even fathom the number of cars getting damaged in that parking lot on a daily basis. 2.) The parking spots are compact car size only. This causes lots of people to double park so they do not get their cars dinged by people cramming into parking spaces next to them. 3.) The only overflow parking is at a school down the street which has no sidewalk on that side of the street so you have to cross a busy street to get to the sidewalk and then back across the busy street to go into the club parking lot. When I called the club to express the dangers going on in the parking lot and the cars blocking a fire lane, they said they were not able to do anything about it but would take the plate numbers of the offending cars IF I gave them the numbers. It will clearly take a situation where someone is seriously injured before they take action. Besides the horrible parking, they went cheap on the outdoor pool and left the existing small round pool which is not much bigger than a large hot tub in place instead of replacing it with a larger pool. Therefore, there is way more seating around the pool than there are spots in the pool for those who want to swim. For $500 per month? Not Good. I encourage you to save your money and support a club that gives you the value and safety for what you are paying for.

I've been a Lifetime member for years and this location has some definite pros and cons.
Pros:
-Staff (front desk / trainers / instructors) are all very friendly and attentive.
-New equipment and floor plan makes sense for overall flow of gym and busy hours.
-You never really have to wait for a piece of equipment even when the parking lot is completely full.
-Class selection is vast and all the ones I've taken (Yoga and GTX) are well ran.
-Bands and other equipment that seems to disappear at other locations has stayed steady.
Cons:
-Parking is incredibly limited. If you go at a busy hour, plan to circle for 10-20 minutes with about 15 other cars. Spots are limited but also SMALL as you can see from other reviews.
-Pickleball: The is a very poorly ran program. The outdoor courts have makeshift dividers that hit you while you play. The courts (indoor and outdoor) are booked a week out with no one on them and the management seems to continue to make empty promises even with people consistently complaining. They also have a few events where they will charge you $20 for open play. Sorry but if I'm paying $480 a month for 2 people, I should not have to pay $20 to play pickleball for an hour on courts with dead spots and janky dividers.
All in all, this gym is convenient for me but if your primary goal is pickleball, I would heavily avoid this location especially for the "premium" experience they try to sell for your membership.

Wonderful gym and staff with excellent yoga instructors. Took a Vinyasa class with Jamin recently that was truly exceptional. Jamin really captures the essence of yoga in his classes by stimulating the mind along with the body. He begins most classes by posing a thoughtful and well-curated question, which, if you’re an introspective person at all, will likely resonate very deeply with you. Then, at the end of class, he comes back to the original question, leveraging the mental clarity and focus gained from the practice itself to drive the point home. Plant the seed, tend the soil, watch the sprouts emerge.
Allison, Malvaika, and Candace are also outstanding, and I consider myself very fortunate to have them all as my yoga teachers. Thank you, Life Time NDH!

This is not on par with any lifetime in New York, Texas, California, etc or even Buckhead lifetime or Sandy Springs lifetime. Why would the more expensive club refuse to make a basic smoothie?? Whoever is running the life cafe should be fired or take some basic customer service training for employees. This is a $350 gym, know your client base. Subpar lifecafe and I’m been to 20+ lifetimes. Gorgeous gym. Friendly staff. Great food. Amazing childcare. I’m almost afraid to tell everyone how much I love this place in case it gets overrun! Coming here feels like getting rewarded for living a healthy lifestyle. We are so glad we joined the LifeTime fam!

The newest premium athletic club in the city. I HAD to be a member. It’s amazing, literally a country club for health and wellness enthusiasts. You get some much under one roof. A place to connect and be healthy while doing it , I’ll be a member here for a very long time !

So far it's been a real treat to go here. The coaches are high quality, everything is clean and functioning. I think the real key to maintaining this level of success is for Lifetime to keep treating their employees/coaches well. This will mean the cleanliness & the classes will stay at this level which is what I will need to stay - it's also usually the first thing to go when turnover is high. Crossing my fingers!

Expensive, but I guess that’s why they say they are an “Athletic Country Club”.
Beautiful new building. Great free weight area. Tons of cardio equipment. A packed class schedule. Very clean locker rooms with a sauna, steam room, hot tub and cold plunge.

This gym sucks. The classes are incredibly meh and the management has erroneously charged my credit card multiple times this month and no one has responded to rectify the issue. Save your money.
