Something has seriously changed at this club over the past 6 month. The management and staff now have such a bad attitude — there’s absolutely no sense of customer service anymore. One manager member even told us that corporate “doesn’t care” about our monthly Signature membership, and the manager bluntly said they don’t care about our input and our membership if we stay or leave. He lectured me about how to run a business as if I am in high school, so arrogant and disrespectful.
To make things worse, the concierge manager actually called me today to suspend my membership for 30 days — simply because we voiced our concerns about the poor management and lack of service. This kind of retaliation against loyal members who speak up is completely unacceptable and he must attend Managment training to improve his communication skills.

After being loyal members for over 20 years, our family is heartbroken and disappointed. This used to be a club we were proud to belong to, but the lack of respect, professionalism, and accountability has made us seriously consider leaving for good.

Replying to your response:

Over the past 20 years, my family has been loyal members of this club. Unfortunately, the recent experiences have been deeply disappointing. It’s become evident that some staff members are not addressing the root issues we’ve raised. We’ve made multiple complaints, not just once, but three or four times, yet nothing has been resolved.

What is particularly frustrating is seeing the management side with employees rather than understanding the perspective of long-time customers. We were even informed that our membership would be suspended for 30 days after voicing our concerns, which we find quite unfair.

Additionally, the unprofessionalism has escalated. We’ve been asked to leave courts for classes even when courts were empty, and the overall environment has become chaotic, with loud music and a lack of respect.

In short, we hope the management will take customer feedback seriously and address these issues professionally, rather than dismissing long-standing members’ concerns.

In summary, the heart of the issue is the consistent disrespect and arrogance we’ve encountered from both staff and management. It’s not just one incident; it’s a pattern of dismissiveness and unprofessionalism that has made us feel unheard and undervalued as long-term members. We hope this review encourages the club to reflect on how they treat loyal customers and to address these concerns with the seriousness they deserve.

Update after my 30 days suspension:

I have never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful management. After being harassed by the management team, I was suspended for 30 days. When I attempted to return after my suspension, I was informed that my membership had been terminated. The reason given—in the most blunt manner—was simply because I had written a negative review.

When I reached out to corporate for an explanation, their response was that they “do not need me as a member,” despite my loyalty since 2008. This is unacceptable behavior toward a long-standing, paying member. The treatment I received was not only rude, but also felt retaliatory and completely unfounded.

The attitude at this club has deteriorated severely. Management creates false narratives, mistreats members, and shows no interest in resolving issues professionally. Unfortunately, it is no longer worth being part of this club.

Personally I was reading through some of the reviews and some of them couldn’t be further from the truth! I’ve had a membership since 2020 when covid happen at the Alpharetta location and things were crazy. I had to take a break since I moved down to sugarloaf but when I got over here the front desk made me feel like I was the owner of Lifetime! Especially James he made the whole adjustment super easy and the staff gave me such a warm and welcoming tour of the facility it had felt like I had never been there before. Easily one of the best experiences I have ever had thanks to James and his staff!

I canceled my LA Fitness membership after coming to Life Time Sugarloaf on a guest pass, this place is on a whole different level. The facilities are top-tier, clean, and spacious, and the front desk staff is always so friendly. Huge shoutout to Thomas and James, they're always welcoming and helpful. I’ve been a member at Life Time Sugarloaf for over five years and I can honestly say this club has never been in better hands. I’m writing this because I’ve seen a few recent negative reviews that just don’t reflect the truth. They’re all coming from the same person who has been repeatedly aggressive, loud, and completely inappropriate toward the staff.

In the past month alone, I personally watched this member curse out employees, yell down the hallway, and cause multiple disruptions, including one situation where he was literally shouting profanity across the club because he didn’t get his way. It was embarrassing to witness a supposed grown man act this way, like simple school children act and the team handled it with far more patience than most people would have.

As someone who’s been here for years, I can say the leadership team is the strongest it’s ever been. Both General Managers James and the new GM, along with Enrique who runs pickleball, are absolute pros, respectful, hardworking, and genuinely invested in making sure members have a great experience.

This is a well-run, professional club with people who truly care. The only thing I’ll say is that the team should have acted sooner to deal with that kind of behavior, because it’s not fair to the rest of us who come here to enjoy the space.

False information… like fraudulent identity? Or you mean to say I just simply use different emails like this one - which still include my name XD

If it’s easy to do this, it falls on management and your failure to upkeep this policy properly. Personally if I ran the place this wouldn’t happen.

Good thing I won’t be coming back so no worries to me!

I’ve been a member at several Lifetime locations, but the Sugarloaf location is by far the worst managed one I’ve experienced. The management team is unapproachable, disorganized, and completely out of touch with what members actually need. It feels like they only care about appearances and not the member experience.

The employees have the same attitude. Most seem stuck up, uninterested, and bothered to even assist you. There’s clearly a lack of leadership and accountability from the top down. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, they make you feel like you’re an inconvenience for simply asking questions or expecting decent service.

For a club that charges premium prices, you’d expect professionalism and respect, but all you get is poor communication, unhelpful staff, and the feeling that they just don’t care. Lifetime Sugarloaf really needs a complete management overhaul and better customer service training. Until that happens, I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

I’ve been a member at Lifetime Sugarloaf for a while, but I’m really disappointed with how the management handles things. They recently let go of one of the best trainers — someone whose classes were always full and who was truly loved by everyone. It’s frustrating to see great, dedicated trainers treated this way while management seems careless about members’ experiences. Lifetime Sugarloaf needs to value the people who actually make members want to show up.

Our family of three has been training at Lifetime Fitness Sugarloaf for a long time, and we were all training with our trainer for over a year ,
He was one of the best trainers we’ve ever worked with — knowledgeable, professional, and he truly cared about his clients. He helped not just with fitness but also with pain management and injury prevention.

His classes were always full, and everyone loved working with him. Despite that, Lifetime made the terrible decision to let him go. Many of our friends who trained with him feel the same frustration and disappointment. Since he left, the atmosphere at the club has changed completely, and the service is not the same.

It’s really sad to see management push away such a dedicated and talented trainer who made a real difference in so many members’ lives.

I just finished working out and was starving. I went out to get food from the car, but the front desk asked me to sign in. I just walked past him and saw him talking to a friend. On Sunday, August 24th around noon, I encountered a female staff member at the front desk of Life Time Sugarloaf (wearing a light blue shirt and glasses) who was extremely unprofessional and rude in her interaction with me. I have been a member here for three years, and this is the first time I have ever experienced such disrespectful behavior. I believe this reflects poorly on the club, and that immediate attention and additional customer service training are needed.

I’m honestly not surprised to see other reviews mentioning the front desk, because it’s exactly what I experienced. The staff at the front desk are extremely unprofessional and rude. Instead of making clients feel welcomed, they give off an attitude like you’re bothering them just by walking in.

What really stands out is how they treat women especially if you happen to be even slightly attractive. The girls at the desk will throw mean looks, whisper to each other, and make it obvious that they’d rather judge you than do their jobs. Especially the one in the pink shirt a few reviews down. It’s disturbing to see how inappropriate these front desk workers are dressed. I think they have bigger things to worry about, than being negatively focused on others.
It’s incredibly immature and unprofessional for a business that’s supposed to be about customer service. So much for being a “welcoming” place.

This isn’t a one-time thing either, it seems to be a pattern. A business is only as good as the people who represent it, and when the first impression you get is rudeness, negativity, and hostility, it ruins the entire experience.

And to make it worse, management will probably respond to this review with the same copy-and-paste “We’re sorry about your experience” line, but the reality is they never actually do anything to fix the issue. That says it all. Weak management. No back bone. Maybe change that for once in your life.

If there were a way to leave negative stars, I absolutely would.

My experience at the Sugarloaf Lifetime location has been one of the best out of all the Georgia locations I’ve visited. The majority of the staff is amazing, but one person in particular truly stands out — Raven. She’s always polite, welcoming, and professional, greeting members with genuine warmth. I’ve personally seen her handle two critical situations with calm expertise, as well as manage multiple tasks throughout the facility without ever losing her positivity. Raven truly sets the standard for exceptional service, and her dedication is something other staff could model.

Reading some of these reviews about this location, it’s clear that not everyone has had the same experience I have—but I genuinely believe many of the complaints stem from misunderstandings or unrealistic expectations.
The services offered here are reasonably priced, and if cost is a concern, there are always ways to stay active at home. As for the front desk staff, I’ve found them to be professional and direct. Sometimes people don’t like hearing rules or being held accountable, but that doesn’t make the staff rude—it means they’re doing their job.
Personally, I’ve had nothing but excellent experiences at this location. Raven and Perry at the front desk are especially outstanding—their customer service goes above and beyond, and they’re always working hard to provide exceptional support. The instructors, personal trainers, and janitorial staff are consistently friendly, professional, and extremely helpful.
I truly appreciate the team here and the welcoming environment they’ve created.

I enjoy the variety of classes and the overall facilities at Life Time Sugarloaf — the pool, sauna, and group training options are excellent. The instructors are knowledgeable and the atmosphere feels premium compared to other gyms in the area.

However, one major downside is the lack of enough toilets in the facility. During busy hours, it becomes inconvenient and frustrating, especially for such a high-end fitness club. For the membership price, I’d expect more restrooms and better accessibility in that area.

If they improved that, it would truly match the “luxury” standard they advertise.

Similarly to what other reviews have stated, I also have to confirm that the front desk staff is rude. Long story short, we’ve had multiple interactions with a woman at the front desk (also pictured in a photo from a different review, wearing a pink shirt, with glasses, shoulder length hair) that were unpleasant. There’s a difference between being assertive versus outright rude, and she was rude while being dismissive every time we’ve had to interact with her.

My husband has been a Lifetime member for over a decade, and recently added me and our child onto his membership. We don’t go often, and I’ve never been asked to take a photo. This time, I was told by the woman at the front desk, “you need to take a picture”. I asked everyone at the front desk if I could take it another time, and she responded with her back facing me, with a snappy tone, “no cause it’s been too long”. She could’ve at least came up to the side of the desk where I was at, and spoken to me face to face and been polite.

Another time, when my husband was alone at Lifetime, working, he had to go in and out of the building because he left stuff in his car. Mind you, she (the same employee working the front desk that I mentioned above) saw him come in and out multiple times, so she knew who he was, still insisted that he re scan his phone every time he came in and out. His phone was left in the locker, so it was just excessive to inconvenience members like that, when she just saw him walk out. There’s been a couple of other unpleasant interactions we’ve had with her, but I can’t even remember them all. Her overall demeanor is rude and condescending, which shouldn’t be tolerated in a customer service position.

Childcare here is outrageous. Other than the couple of young women who work the mornings during the weekday, the staff there do not know how to care for younger children. It was my mistake for leaving our son before he could talk, to tell me what happened, but I came back to the room with him just sitting there crying alone. One mom on another review mentioned they were discriminating against Asian children?! My child is half Asian half black, so I don’t know if that played a part, now that I read her review… either way, I never dropped him off again after that.

We only come here out of convenience, and because of the swim staff. They are the sweetest and will always go above and beyond for the kids there. We absolutely love the manager of the swim department.

This gym is ridiculously overstimulating and incredibly inconsiderate..I don’t know why these trainers hold their classes with the music so disgustingly loud throughout the day thinking that everyone wants to listen to that. Mind you, you can still here their music over your headphones. It’s horrible, there’s no reason it should be that loud at 6am. Loud obnoxious twerk music at that, again it’s ridiculous. Some people are just waking up and would like a little peace before work. I’ve discussed this issue with so many members of the club and we all absolutely hate it. But unfortunately management won’t do a thing, especially when they say they’re going to resolve the issue. Understand this is a trend within this specific location…please know management will never do a thing. They’re just here to collect their paycheck but never listen to the complaints of members who are paying $200+ a month. If you’re considering coming here you’re better off making the drive to the buckhead location and spending more because the sugarloaf is absolutely horrible. Look at the insane amount of 1 star reviews from this place and take the advice of all the members complaining that have been working out here for years.

Absolutely horrible experience. The staff at this location are straight-up disrespectful and out of line. I brought a guest like the policy allows and some woman working there had the nerve to accuse me of sneaking him in like we’re criminals. She spoke to us like we were children, completely condescending and unprofessional. For a place that charges as much as they do, you’d think they could hire staff with at least some manners and common sense. I’ll be canceling my membership ASAP. Save your money and go somewhere that doesn’t treat paying members like garbage. I understand that it violates your policy’s. But all it would have taken for me to not be upset was just her saying “I’m sorry but I can’t let your guest in” and not being rude for no reason.

Yes, many of the reviews are true in a while. I can say probably 70% of the employees that work here do not have great attitudes and some of the time the facilities are not as clean as they should be I would say that the 30% of the ones that shine, they really shine bright and they go above and beyond And unfortunately, I don’t know their names but I know all of the swimming folks are excellent and the cleaning crew always have great attitudes. It’s usually the personal trainers who treat you as if you are their employee lol. So the five stars is because where else in this area can you find a facility with all of the amenities, including the cold plunge kids care basketball, sauna. anytime I leave Lifetime I feel refreshed. They even have a place where you can work which I’ve used when I need to get a workout and just put some headphones on and get some work done. Our society has become one of ungratefulness and unrealistic expectations and yes, some other locations are newer, which translates to CLEANER sometimes fresh equipment, but this location is still a great place to work out and be fulfilled in that endeavor. I do believe it is worth the price and maybe even more. I’m grateful to be a member and have been for a few years and will continue to be.

I've been going for a year. The equipment works although there's usually at least one machine requiring maintenance. I've been there at all hours on all days after 9 am; most of the time, it's very crowded. Despite this, if you're there to lift weights with an emphasis on free weights over machines, they usually have at least one squat rack available.

Unlike other comments, I have not had issues with anyone up there, either staff or other members. The few people I've interacted with have been friendly. There are plenty of people up there making too much noise, whether dropping weights, loudly moaning while doing reps, or playing music. It's not so obnoxious that I can't concentrate and leave the attention seekers to themselves. I usually see several people filming themselves while exercising, which other people may have issues with. Most are respectful and maintain camera angle to exclude people in the background.

The facility isn't immaculate, but it isn't filthy. Continual sauna and steam room issues are annoying, as are the members that cause them by pouring water on sensors and equipment. Members are lazy and leave towels on the floor, don't rerack weights or mix smaller and larger weights together when reracking, leave towels on the equipment, etc. I'm not sure how much staff Life Time would have to hire to babysit all of Sugarloaf's irresponsible members, but it would take a lot.

My main issue is hours of operation. You all keep raising prices, but still aren't open 24 hours like you used to be. I don't like coming when it's busy. I'd come at 2 am if I had the choice to avoid the crowd. In addition to closing early, you close the pool deck and showers 15 minutes before close. Incredibly inconvenient. The last thing I do is shower before leaving. I have to end my workout early sometimes because of this.

What difference does 15 minutes make to Lifetime? It makes a big difference to my schedule. Pay people to start cleaning at close and pay them until it's done. Also, tell your shareholders to do us a solid and stay open until midnight on weekends. The extra hour makes a difference to me. Life Time and Life Time's shareholders can afford it.

I am deeply disappointed with the way Lifetime Fitness handled the recent change regarding the BA Pickleball Mixer: Intermediate event. The original event was canceled without any prior notice and inexplicably replaced with a women’s-only event, with no email, message, or announcement informing the general participants of this change.

Several of us showed up expecting to participate in the originally scheduled intermediate mixer, only to be rudely interrupted and told to leave the court by staff members after playing just a few warm-up points. The behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely uncalled for—especially considering we had received zero communication regarding the change.

It is completely unacceptable to alter event formats at the last minute without proper notice, and then place the blame or burden on members who were following the original schedule in good faith. This kind of disorganized and dismissive handling shows a lack of respect for members’ time, commitment, and overall experience.

I strongly urge Lifetime Fitness to re-evaluate how it communicates program changes and to ensure that all members are fairly and promptly informed in the future. Members deserve better than confusion, rudeness, and poor management.

In the front desk, a lady was very rude to me and my family. She glared at us and made false statements about how we feel. She states that we are “mad” even though we are really polite about our statements. She gave us this really impolite response. She rolled her eyes at me while saying how annoyed she was. I am very disappointed with this situation and very mad too. I respect the policies here and I respect the staffs. I need my respect.

Out of the lifetime locations in ATL, this one just doesn’t quite meet the bar. A noticeable difference is that the Johns Creek location offers cold towel in both workout floor and in the locker room - whereas this location does not offer one at all.

I had the worst experience at the infant care here. The infant care at this place is absolutely terrible. If you’re Asian, do not leave your child here. The level of racism is shocking. I’m Korean, and my 11-month-old baby was crying, but they just left him sitting on the floor watching animation on a phone or in a bouncer crying. There were multiple workers present, but they only picked up and comforted the white babies. Because of this experience, I immediately canceled my Lifetime membership.

Every team member has always been friendly but Yas truly went above and beyond! I just wanted to share my experience. I love great service and love sharing great experiences I have. The Daycare needs attention with their staff. Primarily the girl at the front not sure of her name but I was there on 03/13 in the afternoon. When she called me while I was working out to state my child was crying for 40 minutes and that my child was affecting the other kids and that my child had to go. (Very unacceptable language) I immediately asked her how come she hadn’t called me prior and waited this long. She then started changing her words to fix what had happened. I immediately retrieved my child and advised to call prior. The same girl in another instance forgot to lock the door while getting my child and some other kid was getting his fingers smashed. I was yelling to get their attention. It seems as this young girl is disconnected from her position and is not really doing it well. She is constantly looking stressed. Maybe not the right fit for her.

Just tried to stop in to see this location as I’m never out this way and simply was curious. The man at the front desk was so snappy and rude saying I can’t come tour they don’t have anyone to give me a tour. Two ppl must be at the desk at all times so he cannot help me. Didn’t even ask if I was a member first, which I am, at a higher tier lifetime actually.

I wanted to simply show my mom this location to see what her options were as far as amenities go at other locations and he said we can’t do self guided tours. Offered no alternative solutions and just was overall not welcoming.

Now at my higher tier gym, and all lifetime gyms, guest services are until 9pm. We had ample amount of time to tour and move on with our day but he was just such a stifler. After pushing a bit further I asked to tap in to go see the facility and he was going to allow that but told me my mom needed to waste a guest pass just to SEE the facility. We are not in workout clothes why would I waste a guest visit on that and why couldn’t I tap in as a member and leave my mom’s ID as collateral for a quick tour?

If she wanted to become a member this was the worst experience ever, and did not help with my convincing her to join. I have never had this problem at any other lifetime and my home gym is better and more updated sooo I’m not understanding why your staff treated this place as so sacred.

I understand the horrible reviews. You all treat ppl very strange here.

Over the years, the quality and service at this gym have declined significantly. After being a member for over eight years, I finally canceled my membership. The gym became overcrowded with people more focused on creating content than working out, classes were constantly overbooked, and the facility was always under construction. On top of that, much of the equipment was aging and outdated.

For the price of a luxury gym, the frequent “out of service” amenities were simply unacceptable. I found myself paying for two memberships—one here and another at a smaller boutique gym that, while lacking the frills, actually met my needs. Eventually, I decided enough was enough and let go of the overpriced membership.

Absolute worst location. One of the managers would harass my 16-year old son daily because he had his small bag of insulin and other medical supplies due to being a diabetic with anemia. This manager had absolutely nothing else better to do with his time then harass a kid over a medical issue. Didn’t matter if he was in the weight room or on the basketball court. It got to the point where the manager threatened to call the police. This is the worst location I’ve ever been to, multiple car break ins. Staff is always going and they can’t retain any employees. Locker rooms aren’t clean ever and smell like mold and mildew. I cancelled our membership reported them to the better business bureau and won’t ever come back. For the cost go to Onelife or Georgia Sports Performance. Trainers here are all out of shape and have a certification for personal training find a real trainer with real honest credentials in Kinesiology and know what they are doing. Find a gym where they don’t harass a child. The gym is supposed to be peace

Having been to this gym for about a year before leaving, i can say that management hasn't fixed much since then based off the most recent reviews. I can vouch for the lack of equipment during the busiest hours (3-4 barbell benches but like dozens of unused, old cardio machines?). And this is just one example of the many I'm highlighting. Sometimes the soap and shampoo are mixed with each other. The shower doors for some showers don't work. The music they play is crazy louder than other gyms (lets blast Cardi B right above a daycare... Who signed off on this???). The cafeteria food is mediocre for its price, though it is convenient. All this, while they keep raising prices.

I want to spend good money on a good gym, but sadly the lack of proper investment in this gym made me build a home gym. Don't waste your money here for a subpar experience, take it somewhere where they respect their customers.

I can’t believe they keep raising prices when their restrooms are constantly looking like this.

I understand that it isn’t the staffs fault that people are disgusting, but why do we have to pay A HIGH PRICE to constantly see that?

if it’s not a bloody tampon, it’s paper towels everywhere: on the floor, on the sink soaking wet, not only that but some people don’t know how to flush. Again it isn’t 100% staffs fault, the staff i’ve spoken to are very kind and seem to be working hard and I honestly feel bad that they even have to work around such nasty WOMEN (because i’m talking about woman’s restrooms) who are so gross. I’ve been a member at this gym for a couple years now & slowly but surely the gym has declined in cleanliness and quality. The soaps in the shower seem watered down and sometimes the conditioner is in the shampoo bottle, and vice versa. (It can Happen)The biggest complaint is the indoor pool. I’ve visited other lifetime pools and their water is nowhere near as cloudy and dirty as this facility. It’s a shame that this gym is declining so rapidly because we love being members of lifetime. However like someone else mentioned, so many people are disrespectful (talking on phone loudly, bringing smelly products into the saunas, not cleaning up after themselves). It’s ridiculous that as a paying member I cannot get access to a basketball hoop with my son because they rather rent out and reserve the only 2 hoops they have to paying trainers and leagues. When they decided to shut down the 2nd basketball court and turn it in to a pickleball court did they vote or ask there members what they wanted? Why created space for work from HOME area why could they not use this area for pickleball? And how come I pay a fee for my son you all do not have anything age appropriate for him to do all year round. And when life time decided to not reopen as a 24 hour club after Covid why did the membership fee stay the same?

Remember when the Wi-Fi isn't working or the power goes out, you can still buy your family food with with money.

Paying on cards, phones, and watches may be cool, convenient and easy. But if we lose cash, then we will solely rely on technology for our livelyhood and purchasing. Then whoever operates and owns a technology, will own you.

Because Lifetime Fitness is taken away cash and shoving QR codes down our throats. It's clear who's agenda they are following. Sorry, it's sad to see my favorite go down this path, straight to Communism

3 stars is for Lifetime as a whole, not this specific location.

State of the art facility, nice gym, plenty of classes, basketball court, indoor outdoor pools.... for an arm and a leg. Facilities? 5 stars. Service? 4 stars. Lessons? 1 star.

I was paying $170 (it's Def more now) for a family of 3. Plus $70 a month for swimming lessons. Started off okay, except we aren't gym rats so I was using it mostly for swimming lessons for my kid.

Now, I didn't take lessons at this location, but the Johns Creek one would cancel on me without telling me (they claimed they emailed me, but when it happened again they lost all my faith). I would show up and they'd say no class.

So I can just take a makeup, right? Maybe come in tomorrow? Nope. You get some sort of credit. You can't use it to just get a makeup. But you can use 3 credits to get one private lesson. What? I don't even need a private lesson. You canceled on me! Now I need to use over $50 of my investment for one 30 minute private lesson!

So back and forth they kept yanking my chain and taking my money so I quit. Not just swimming, but Lifetime. I don't want to deal with a gym that wants to do anything in their power to rob me of my money.

I left work early so that I could make it to a 4:45 yoga class. Gigi was the instructor. I have never been to one of Gigi’s classes so had no clue that being 3 minutes late would result in the door being locked and not being allowed entry into the class after knocking. My ETA was 4:40 but due to an accident on 85, I arrived at 4:47 and made it upstairs to the class at 4:48. This is metro Atlanta, so things happen with traffic even when you make all the efforts to be early or on time, as I had done. Every studio that I’ve been to gives a grace period, and there are yoga and other classes at Lifetime where late entry is allowed. I spoke to someone at the front desk and was told that it’s up to the instructor to allow a grace period or not. To me, that is unacceptable. There needs to be a company policy that is consistent. I was once late to a hot yoga class at Lifetime and was allowed entry with no problem, actually the door wasn’t even locked. The instructor was very welcoming and didn’t miss a beat with the class. So I had no clue that I would be refused entry for a 3 minute delay. I wasted time, experienced frustration due to traffic, inconvenienced colleagues by leaving early, mileage on my car, etc because an accident caused me to be 3 minutes late and the instructor decided she couldn’t be bothered to allow people who had registered for the class to enter after a measly 3 minutes. For what Lifetime costs monthly, this is unacceptable and instructors shouldn’t be given the liberty to lock people out that quickly. I understand 10 minutes or more late, but less than 5 is just ridiculous. I understand not wanting to interrupt the flow of the class, but that small of a delay, you’re still warming up, and it shouldn’t be that significant. If other yoga instructors, and other group fitness instructors allow some grace, Gigi should be doing the same. If she wants to go against the grain, then she should get her own studio and make as many rules as she wants.

Some staff members aren’t professional nor pleasant. Lifetime as a brand is top tier but this facility needs help. Broken equipment, overcrowded, children in the weights area (which is prohibited), and locker rooms need a deeper clean.

Also razors, qtips, and hair dryers. Lockers have their lock. Super clean overall!

Absolutely love the gym and the front desk staff is always helpful, however the cafe is the complete opposite. The cafe staff is not friendly or even attentive. I’ve seen so many people walk out because nobody is at the front paying attention to the customers. I’ve had to get a refund because I waited over 20 minutes for my food and it wasn’t even started. There was only one person working on a Saturday because the pregnant coworker wouldn’t help. The pregnant woman who I am assume is the manager is a terrible example of customer service and is so put out helping the customers. I understand she’s probably not feeling great but a little effort or acknowledgment would go a long way. Such a day and night experience from the rest of the gym, it’s really disappointing. I would love to spend more money eating there after my work out but now avoid it like the plague because of how bad the service is.

Every year the membership goes up and the quality is the same= Too crowded and cluttered, classes are always full, for what youre paying it’s not worth it because everything is so limited. Not worth the money better off at a smaller and cheaper gym.if they go back to opening 24 hrs I be satisfied.

Sad that they cannot schedule properly such that there are no lifeguards (so kids under 18 are not allowed in the pool or pool deck) during a holiday week when all the kids are out of school. Poor planning. Expect more for what we pay here.

Just found out about Lifetime limiting hours and times for Medicare participants. This is wrong and unfair. No matter the reasoning, this means they could do that to any membership level/ age group etc…as well. The membership prices are already considerably high. Already have to go out of the way to visit a location for most people. Time to look at other options.

For $200/month you’d think they would stay on top of the broken equipment. I took pics of the LABELED broken equipment. There are plenty more that aren’t working that don’t even have signs. I have complained to the staff about it already. One of the unlabeled broken treadmills almost caused me to fall because it has a broken belt and it is tilting on a decline. It is the pic of the treadmill with no signs indicating that it’s broken. This is dangerous but management clearly does not care. There are other lifting machines that also aren’t working. It’s not bad when the gym is empty but during peak hours you can definitely feel it. LA fitness is a fraction of the cost with newer and better equipment. Even Crunch has better equipment.

Since moving here from Johns Creek in 2019, membership fees have increased almost every year, never gotten any increasing for 4 years in Johns Creak before.I've been a loyal member for eight years and can barely afford such loyalty, and the most disappointing thing is that I don't see them cherish such loyalty at all.I am worried that is there a limit to the increasing? Is it fair to me that they keep increasing my membership fees when they make this place more and more crowded, more and more noisy, and the opening hours are shorter than before?

I am disappointed that you show that you accept silver sneakers. Drove over there to discover that you actually don't here in Georgia and because accepted in some states but you don't accept it in all states you allege that you have it available when it's actually not

I pay alot of money for membership. The Sugarloaf location needs some work some of the equipment is old with rust , no real room where the weights are, and the wipes to clean the machines after use were all gone so they have spray bottles but no towels. For 249pp it could be a whole lot cleaner and better

This place is very expensive, but it’s because of all the amenities. Why 1 star? If you are going to charge a premium, you need to deliver on premium.
They do not enforce their no cell phone or electronic device policy in the locker rooms. There is a sign at the entrance, but you will see people using devices nearly every time you’re in there. I complained twice and the complaints “never made it to the GM”. I finally brought it to the GM’s attention and he assured me that he would look into it. It’s a week later, no new signs and people are just using their mobile video cameras…I mean phones. There should be an expectation of privacy in changing rooms and this place won’t do it. This is absolutely unacceptable!
Child center closes at 12:30 every day for several hours (sometimes not opening back up) and they won’t let you check a child in starting at 12:00. These limited hours started during the pandemic and they have never changed it... This is a major inconvenience for parents who want to work out and have kids. We just went at 12:00 on a Saturday and my wife and I couldn’t work out because they wouldn’t take the kids for 30 minutes…. $200 a month we spend and literally can’t use our membership on a Saturday at noon…. INSANE!!!
For the number of members and the size of this place, the area with dumbbells is lacking. During busy times, it’s nearly impossible to get a bench. Plan on waiting! They need to add about 4 more adjustable benches and about 3 more utility stools. This is a bottleneck for sure and should absolutely be upgraded! Having to wait disrupts your workout and is frustrating.
There is an indoor and outdoor pool. It’s early August and they are already moving to fall hours. On a Saturday, you can’t swim with kids outside until 1pm. Seriously?!
They have impressive water slides for the indoor and outdoor pools. Over the past 12 months, I have never seen the indoor slides operational and the outdoor slides are currently on for a whopping 3 hours…
For what this place charges, they should have safe locker rooms, a free weight section that can support peak hours, a properly staffed child center with normal hours and pool resources that can actually be used.
Hopefully they take this feedback and actually make the changes because this place could be much improved.

On Saturday, August 12th, 2023, around 5:50 PM, almost 6 PM, when I first arrived at the LifeTime gym, I realized that cash was missing from my wallet. After exercising, around 8:10 PM, when I returned to the locker, I discovered the loss. Upon notifying nearby staff about the security issue, others approached me and shared similar incidents, where they lost $200 in a situation similar to mine, around 2 PM.

The fact that similar incidents are occurring nowadays suggests that if someone has a key, it's easier to open lockers and steal cash. Despite this, people occasionally seek assistance from LifeTime staff to unlock their lockers when they forget the password. The staff claims they have been trained to ask for identification if they can't access the locker's contents. However, contrary to their claims, I witnessed some workers opening lockers without proper checks.

I've heard that such incidents happen frequently. Fitness facility owners need to address this issue immediately through locker security measures. It's also important to prevent further victims from emerging. If such incidents occur in situations that aren't the customer's fault, fitness facility owners should compensate affected customers with some form of credit for several months.

I've been thinking about joining this gym and then read the reviews about how unsatisfactory the locker rooms and restrooms were. So I decided to take a tour of the place to see for myself. It was clean. I didn't see trash or hair everywhere like some previous reviews stated.
(I did notice a few plastic straw wrappers and random debris at the edge of the rock climbing area.)
Everything I saw on tour was what I expected. I will be joining. Thank you, Perry for the awesome customer service and tour.

I can not express my gratitude for LifeTime. My partner and I recently came into some unexpected medical problems where we could no longer continue our our membership here. Unfortunately, we had to cancel, but the representative was able to take care of us immediately and with no hassle over the phone unlike other gyms. The representative was also able to refund us for this month after it already charged us, we initially were going to eat the cost, but fortunately we did not have to. In our time in need LifeTime made one thing less difficult.
We plan to come back once we are able to.

Overcrowded, outdated machines, and the sauna does not even get hot because you have so many people going in and out. I don’t doubt that there might be fights breaking out in the gym and outside. Looks more like a hookup spot than a gym. Going back to Johns Creek Lifetime Fitness!

Terrible customer service. I tried to organize a birthday there and it was impossible. The only way to book a party is through, the manager that is never available to answer. I went personally today and he left home because he was sick. Nobody was able to help me not even to take the party down-payment.
I don't understand why they do
everything so complicated. They all need a better customer service.

This is the best gym ever . Doesn’t get any better than this . Great staff , so so many amenities, great equipment , easy check in . Once you go to Lifetime, any other gym can’t beat it! Monthly membership is not cheap , but it’s reasonable if you’re there a lot . Steam room , sauna , out door pools , hot jacuzzi , water slide, cafe , relaxing room to watch T.V and do work , Pilates classes . Great gym .

Really disappointed with this location and with lifetime in general. The price went up exponentially while the service is subpar. The gym is no longer 24 hours. That’s a HUGE devaluation. Then this particular gym has the AUDACITY to close an hour earlier on the weekends than the other LT’s. The showers and steam room in the women’s locker room are always nasty and littered with hair. Ugh! I will be canceling my membership soon.
