I joined the 50+ group with a friend who told me about this amazing trainer and exercise program that would keep me strong and healthy. She was right. Working out in a supportive family-centered community has given me the confidence to go beyond what I ever thought possible to achieve a fitness level that helps me stay active and functionally independent. I started at MAC FT in the Classic class for women 50+. If you had told me I would eventually be attending the regular workouts, I wouldn’t have believed it. I have gained so much through my membership here…friendships, community, confidence!!, and oh yeah-a little strength and endurance. I look forward to every session. The coaches have always met me where I am and encouraged me to progress.

If your thinking about joining a crossfit gym don't go anywhere else but here. Every other crossift gym is an imitation/subpar of they do here at MAC functional training. Real feedback and coaching! The people and gym culture here is very strong. Don't wait sign up today!!!

MAC Functional Fitness is a great opportunity to make friends and get some exercise. There's easy parking or it's an easy walk for anyone downtown to stop in at convenient times for an hour-long class. Any fitness level will get helpful attention to make progress in your own journey. I feel better physically, but being around fun, kind, supportive people may be the best part!

I started out attending the classes with ZERO knowledge of the movements, very little cardiovascular endurance from not working out for three years, and just simply being fat. I was very hesitant to try this type of Crossfit style workouts due to injury potential vs my classic body building glam muscle workouts. I was nervous about looking weak and out of shape (but I was).
The coaches met me at my level and helped me progress safely and at an appropriate rate. In a few months I was throwing up weights I had never been able to in my body building days. I cannot stress the value of the one on one coaching you get during classes and the programed workouts.
The members and coaches at this gym have become more than just workout partners. They are friends who we now do many social activities with out of the gym.
If you are new to Macon, want to get out more and get back in shape this is by far the best place to visit.
