The instructors, Ms. Kilar and Mr. Conkel, are world class martial artists, featured on ESPN taking home all the medals, trophies, rings and belts yet they are so humble and modest with their multitude of talents. They are encouraging, positive, fun and incredible role models. They foster a wonderful New Heights karate family, and the families are sweet, friendly, and like family. I feel confident my two girls and I are learning from the best and are at the best place with every class. We’ve been at New Heights Karate for 3 years, and we will be here until the pigs fly.

My child has been attending New Heights for 2 years now and we love it. They provide excellent training in karate/martial arts. But what I love is watching how well Mr Conkel and Ms Kilar treat their students and families. They are just as good working with their little dragons as the black belt competition team. I have worked in youth programs for decades and honestly, I have been more impressed with them than many folks I have worked with. If you are considering martial arts I would definitely pick NHK.

As a parent, I cannot express how grateful I am to have found this karate studio for my child. We have been attending for over two years now, since my child was only four years old, and we have had nothing but a positive experience.

The instructors are top-notch when it comes to teaching the technical elements of taekwondo. They are patient, understanding, and skilled at breaking down complex techniques into simple steps that children can understand. But what sets them apart is their ability to teach young children with kindness, patience, and a gentle touch. They know how to motivate and encourage children to do their best, without being too pushy or aggressive.

But it's not just about learning the technical aspects of taekwondo. The studio also emphasizes character development, including discipline, self-control, and persistence. These skills are crucial for children at this age, and the instructors do an excellent job of instilling them in their students. My son started doing karate here at 4 years old. He is now 7, and we both do it (why watch when you can join along?)! The instructors are fantastic. They work you hard, and it's tough, but you learn a lot and they keep it light enough to be fun but serious enough to be productive. There are other options in Macon for martial arts, but if you want the best (the proof is in the national championship pudding) for yourself or your children, there's no other option.

New Heights Karate Studio is amazing and the instructors are phenomenal! They provide an incredibly well rounded atmosphere that begins with students just starting out to always challenging experienced students with advanced technique and weapon training and everything in between. As a parent, I have also really enjoyed the parent/family class and getting back into shape.
It feels really good to walk into the studio where there is enthusiasm from the instructors, great communication between instructor and parent, and where the students are inspired and encouraged as they train.
We are blessed to be in an environment of strength, integrity, discipline, encouragement and fun.

My kids started lessons at New Heights Karate Studio, less than 2months ago, and I can’t begin to tell you how fantastic it’s all been! I don’t even know where to start and actually pick what’s best about it!
The best ofcourse are the instructors Ms Kilar and Mr Conkel. They are amazing, professional, fun, and so knowledgeable! They take time to understand each kid, their way of learning and go down each kids level to explain different ways to make them learn. They are extremely encouraging and motivating, they have begun to instill in my kids this confidence that they can rule the world!!

We usually don’t get to choose our families but THIS IS ONE FAMILY that you would be lucky enough to choose and be a part of!!!

I do not know where to begin with the praises! Joining New Heights Karate has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Ms. Kilar & Mr. Conkle are amazing instructors and have a plethora of experience between the two of them. We have been training with them for about 8 months or so and in that time I have seen my child absolutely blossom and explode with confidence. He has found something he truly enjoys and the instructors have been nothing but positive and encouraging from day one. They have created a studio environment that is fun, friendly and engaging for each individual student in the class. They truly take their time with each student and positively push each one to do and to be their very best. Our family absolutely loves New Heights Karate Studio! The instructors are the kind of people every parent dreams about having to teach their kids. My son is autistic, and they have taken the time to get to know his personality and what works for him to be successful. They push him to be his best while staying positive but firm. The studio is clean and beautiful, there is even a table and chairs set up for younger siblings to stay occupied. I definitely recommend this studio for any family!

We have had a great martial arts journey with school owners/instructors Ms. Kilar & Mr. Conkle! We've been training with them for nearly a year now. They bring a wealth of experience, professionalism, quality, and fun to the program. The structure and flow of the classes is such that every student is engaged the entire time and they take their time to improve technique based on the individual needs.
