I have nothing against the actual gym portion of the ymca. The problem with the ymca is Scott the regional manager who now runs the soccer program. The first and foremost problem with him is he refuses to return phone calls or emails to parents who have real concerns. Second, the scheduling for games this season have been atrocious and beyond unpredictable. Third, if you meet Scott in person and bring a concern to him he will brush it off. He had no problem telling me that the U10 boys didnβt lose the game because of the awful ref they hired, but because we didnβt score. Which is sad because the complaint to Scott was we scored a goal clear as day and the ref was too busy watching something else that he actually missed the goal. When I brought this vital moment to his attention at a tournament game he brushed me off and wanted me to get out of his face. Scott does not belong in the sports setting and possibly not even at the ymca. He has not patience and definitely no grace.

Good luck trying to cancel your membership. Jasmine and Cassie, the so-called membership directors, were completely unhelpful and refused to return my calls and were hard to reach in the first place. Instead, they kept blaming βcorporateβ for everything. I dont know what's worse, the extremely disappointing customer service or the waste of money. The space is small and dirty, the equipment is old and worn out, and the staff acts like they couldnβt care less. Save yourself the headache and join literally anywhere else.

Great place to work out. There is something for everyone. Basketball gym that also serves for pickleball and volleyball, 25 yard pool, cardio equipment including a peloton, free weights and cybex weight machines and a spin room with 20 bikes. Daycare on site, kids camps and other activities.
Friendly knowledgeable staff that will help you get sorted. All classes are included in your monthly membership. fee.

After filling out a membership application and having my credit card debited the 1 month payment, still unable to use this YMCA. I have been back 3 times, and each time they do not have a manager on duty. On two occasions there were no employees at the front desk. The membership admin βJasmineβ sent me an email stating family members could come in and start enjoying the facilities. One day later and they still do not have all family members active and one not even listed. Itβs Friday and of course no managers will be available until Monday. I recommend looking at all options before wasting time or money here. I have had better service at fast food restaurants.

You have to plan your life around waiting for sign ups for water aerobics. I joined the Y versus other clubs because of the water aerobics classes. Iβm recovering from a foot injury so water aerobics is the only thing I can do consistently. Every week itβs a struggle to get into the water aerobics classes. There are very few early morning water aerobics classes. There are several at 9 AM and 10 AM and 11 AM but doesnβt work for people that have a job. There are two evening ones and once again I didnβt make the sign up. I set an alarm on my phone and if you donβt get signed up within the first two minutes that the class opens, you donβt get in the class nor the waitlist. Doesnβt work for anyone that has any semblance of a life. Very disappointing has to be a better way.

My wife and I enjoy our time and workouts at the Y - nice people, clean facilities. We're there 6 days/week. To make the experience even better, I would like to suggest an upgrade/enhancement to the men's showers. Could you please add grab bars? Not only would this add a needed safety factor, but it would also match the showers on the women's side. Many thanks in advance.

I called to find out if I could rent out the pool facilities after countless research online says you can rent out the facilities but this lady who answered the phone said No . She didnβt bother to double check or anything or even be helpful enough to say this facility doesnβt but others do . I called at (1:32pm 1/19/25) so whoever is in charge for phone at that time was who answer I hope you can educate her on customer service skills

We've shifted our work out times to the early morning and enjoy the great crew of patrons and staff. We are always greeting with a hello and the location is clean and organized. This place is for retirees and grossly overpriced youth programs. The 2 stars are for the excellent play center, they are great. Covid Crunch and Karen leadership have killed what used to be a great rec center.

Folks at the Y are very friendly and nice. The Y is definitely a non-judgement zone. Regardless of your size or fitness level, there is a welcoming environment. The water class instructors are energetic and encouraging. Lou and Diane really care about their classes. Keep up the good work Northwest Y!!

This location turned out to be such a disappointment. I registered for the family package. Apparently you need a separate code from the front desk to sign in your child for the play center. Of course no one bothers to tell you this when they are selling the value of a family package.
So, I brought my 3 year old in this morning, swiped her in at the front entrance desk and headed to the play area.
An employee took her in and brought her outside to the slide with the other kids. Only for me to be informed that I need a barcode to sign my child in, so this heartless woman goes outside and takes my child from among the other kids. By this time my child is bawling because she does not understand why she canβt play with the other kids. A nice young man from the front desk came to the back to assist me with getting this mysterious β barcodeβ Because the very unfriendly employee who is tasked with monitoring toddlers was too busy making sure that she ruined my childβs morning.
Because, for her, it was so much more important to stop my child from having access to the slide than it was to assist me with rectifying the issue. Well, once we finally figured how to obtain βthe barcodeβ my child had no interest in staying. If that lady is any indication of the type of people they have watching over kids, then itβs a solid no for me. We left and we will not be back.

I love the childcare center! They know my kiddos names and my kids are always excited to be there. I get free time to work out, shower, etc. My favorite is the sauna, and my daughter loves the rock wall! There is so much for the entire family at the YMCA
