I have tried many times to start a workout routine, and have given up every time. Either I felt intimidated, overwhelmed or gave up motivation. NOT this time! I have been working with my trainer, Kristyn, for the past 2 months and always look forward to going to the gym now… complete 180! She is so positive and knows how to keep me motivated. As I’m getting stronger, I’m learning about my muscles and the best ways to make them stronger. She is so knowledgeable! Crazy as it seems… I think I’m slowly transforming into a gym rat! lol. The rest of the staff is super friendly & helpful also, They really make me feel comfortable with no judgements! Looking forward to a healthier me! In the mean time… Who IS this girl? My wife and I recently joined this gym and it has been a great experience! Nikki was incredibly helpful in setting up our membership and was friendly and easy to work with. The process was made simple and efficient. When we had questions about our membership, we contacted the general manager, John, and he responded promptly and addressed all of our concerns. Been coming to this gym for 7 months now and it has been great! Trained with Calvin and he is very knowledgeable along with the other trainers. Establishment is always clean and well kept. I've purchased temporary passes from this gym for the past three years, and committed to purchasing a membership last year. I swam competitively throughout high school and enjoy swimming whenever I can. After the recent pool renovation, the backstroke flags and pace clock have not been re-installed. The absence of these two pool essentials negatively impact my workout, and I have regularly inquired about them for the past three months. It is obvious that pool maintenance and upkeep is not a priority for this gym.

My honest review.. I go to one life because it’s convenient to work. The staff, always very nice - other members are great as well. plenty of equipment. My complaints. I’ve been coming to this specific location for about 3 months. 5 am is my preferred time. Been about 6 times that the gym doesn’t open until 6 because someone couldn’t wake up. Kind of frustrating, and frustrating that it is allowed to happen more than once. Accountability? Work ethic? It throws off people’s days, and I don’t want to go to the other one where now every single person from this gym is going there on top of the crowd already there. Kind of obnoxious. All these reviews lying about it being clean.. I think it’s one life overall because I’ve been in many and it’s the same. Locker rooms/bathrooms/showers absolutely disgusting. They spend so much money on new equipment and remodeling but not on a cleaning crew? Or how about the staff clean. If board of health went into one of these bathrooms. And they respond on reviews talking about cleanliness that it’s a priority what a joke. They’d be shut down immediately. WEAR FLIP FLOPS IN THE SHOWER, don’t touch the walls. And I have complained about it to management and still nothing done. Even one of the employees said “yea I know it’s disgusting” but nothing gets done. The one female I’ve seen, who I think is supposed to clean? All she does is change the paper towels. I have never seen her wipe anything down. The equipment also.. look at how nasty the treadmills are next time you come in, not a broom or mop in site. Some pride in cleanliness and this gym could actually be deserving of awards they receive.

And yet again here I am at 6:04am no staff here to open the gym that’s supposed to open at 5am. Stop hiring these young kids for the 5 am shift!

My wife cancelled her personal trainer sessions a month ago directly with her personal trainer (nothing was said about a 30 day notice needing to be signed). Yesterday our account was charged for a month of personal trainer sessions. She called the gym and was told to come in and they would work with her. When she gets there they tell her there's nothing they can do and she has to sign the 30 day cancellation. So we're out over $600 on something we're not using and tried to cancel a month ago. Over aggressive sales tactics and trying to trap people into paying.

Today, May 4, 2025 I went to the Onelife at Lexington Peachtree city location. While working out, someone came into the locker room and stole my keys and then went out to my car and stole my wallet. I initially found out while I was in the gym that a credit card was being used at the Peachtree city Walmart. While the police were here taking my report, I found out that they were also stealing someone’s wallet at the commerce Onelife Location.

I really wish there were cameras on the exterior of the building as a deterrent.

I would like to thank the staff, especially Natalie, who did a walk around the building and found my keys that were thrown in the bushes.

I would also like to thank the Peachtree City Police, as they notified me that they found the people who stole my wallet.

Update 5/1/25: After being a member for over a year now I need to update my review and downgrade. The equipment needs to be constantly looked at and fixed. There’s always something that’s broken or on the verge of breaking. The dumbbells and weights have taken a beating. They all need to be replaced. All the rubber coatings are falling apart. Also there are many different styles of weights. Most lifters like to use the exact same type of weights and it’s difficult to track down matching weights. The fake rock under the mirrors was a bad choice. It’s all falling apart. You should remove and replace with aluminum diamond plate sheets like other gyms. You have that movie cardio room downstairs..you should just get rid of that area and extend the weight room with more heavy lifting equipment and squat cages. There are days I walk into the gym and see it so crowded that I walk back out. I rarely see that many people using that movie area. It’s wasted space. I’ve never used the pool or hot tub due to people saying it’s in disgusting shape. Please consider my recommendations. Thanks

Not kid-friendly — beware!
I visited this gym for the first time with my teenage daughter, who has a membership, and my baby ( in a stroller). After stepping out briefly and returning 10 minutes later because my daughter called and needed my support ( new place to her), I was told by the manager that I had to leave the building. I wasn’t even allowed to go inside to meet my daughter. The reason given was that it’s a “safety issue” to be in the facility with a baby. This was an upsetting and frustrating experience — parents, especially those with young children, should be aware that this gym is not welcoming or accommodating to families.

This gym is kept very unsafe and unsanitary for its members. There are bricks that have fallen off from the walls and are laying next to equipment and pose a falling hazard to its members. Also, I visited the jacuzzi for the first time today and it was absolutely disgusting. The water is dark green and there is green mold growing in and out of the jacuzzi. This lets me know the jacuzzi and pools are not properly cleaned and this poses a bacteria/fungus infection for members. The women’s showers are also disgusting. There is mold growing all over their curtains which lets me know they are not being bleached and washed everyday. There is also Mildew growing on the shower walls. This is unacceptable and someone needs to be held accountable for the lack for safety and unsanitary conditions. I contacted corporate and will not stop until changes are made. This is unacceptable and this isn’t a good representation of your company.

Great Gym. Part of the whole One Life Gym line. I alternate between this location and the ones in Newnan. The amenities are amazing (pool, sauna, hot tub, great clean locker rooms and bathrooms) the gym equipment is pretty good. The machines here compare to the one in Newnan are a little older but still good and in great shape. Definitely recommend a membership here.

Onelife Fitness is a wonderful gym with two in our area. They have plenty of machines and equipment and friendly helpful staff. They have lots of classes and it’s always clean. My only gripe is a lack of handicap parking, however that’s because thoughtless people with no medical tags park there. The auxiliary parking lot has a step up which is tough for me with no handrail. I consider myself lucky to have this gym close by and was so happy to return after the lockdown.

So, I am a member of one life I have been one for a while. The gym is fine. The staff is fine, though don’t appreciate having paid for tanning for as long as I have and I don’t use tanning considering I’m a black person. But my real reason for this review is the experience I had just December 6, 2023 1 p. m. when I was sitting there minding my own business taking a call after my workout while my phone was charging because the outlet that I used to charge my phone during my work out wasn’t working and did not charge my phone. While, I was almost done with my call. I was sitting near the locker room between the door and a stairway. I was not in the way. I was pushed all the way back, and I was sitting back with my leg crossed, a man in a long sleeve, brilliant, blue, non-hooded jacket With a blonde military type haircut walk past and kicked me. He kicked me on purpose and he kicked me with purpose. I know because he did not break his stride or acknowledge that anything happened, and he kicked me on my high foot. He kicked me on the leg that was crossed over the other one not the one that was on the floor so that meant he raised his leg to kick me and he kicked me hard. It was witnessed by two people both came and spoke to the police. I feel as if this matter should be handled by one life and the police as a HATE CRIME because giving the nature of the situation, him being a white man and me being a black person who does not know him, I did not make any eye contact with him or any communication at all before he kicked me…having walked past and kicked me on my ankle that was OFF THE FLOOR…
LITERALLY MEANS a HATECRIME occurred on the premises of this OneLife.

Because it was a hateful criminal offense. That was witnessed by two white people who never met
Me, And voluntarily spoke to the police On my behalf.
I cut the hair of many officers others in PTC. And I have NEVER BEEN treated like this since moving here.

The members however can be an issue at times. There are some good and not the best ones. There's even some that may falsely accuse you of things while you're minding your own business. The pool is often filthy, and they seemingly only clean it a couple times a month, leading it to be very cloudy a lot of the time. Coming from other swimming pools, it was a very stark contrast, and for the first few months swimming here, I got sick every couple of weeks. Men's locker room showers are falling apart, handles on shower valves falling off and are stripped, poolside shower has been broken for almost five months now. Towel hanger in first shower in locker room has fallen off the wall. On a good note the lockers finally got fixed. They put a lot of money into paint which was needed to freshen the place up, but they need to address the infrastructure. Great job on refreshing the pool plaster getting rid of the ugly brown stains. They sorely need a suit spinner to dry swimsuits, they never put one in. They digital lap timing click is a huge plus. Now if they could get some peloton bikes!

They have had several people open the gym in the time that I have been coming here and many of them come in at the very last minute to open and hang out with their friends and disappear from the counter and are not there when you need them.
Sydney opens from time to time and when she does the gym is always open on time and she has the place ready to go for us. My request would be that you have her open all the time so people like me can get in and out each morning on time and get to work.

It's a fine overall gym, very clean and spacious, not busy at all at lunchtime on a Monday with pretty much all the equipment you'd need to do any program. If you're training for strength I'd recommend looking elsewhere. There's only 2 squat/deadlift platform combination racks and 2 Smith machines in the entire gym and about 10x as many cardio machines of all kinds. Unless you plan on only hitting bench, you're better off finding somewhere else to train the big 3.

I worked out at a lot of gyms including Gold Gyms, LA Fitness, Fitness 54 and Youfit. This gym is decent. For the good, it's clean, nice building, staff and people are nice, there is 2 sections for dumbbells plus people put their weights back. For the bad, can't see how much weight the dumb bells are with out getting right at the them, bench machines are too close so putting weight back can be hard, machine section has a small section, the equipment is less comfortable to the other gyms I been to and the curl bars are mix of easy and straight bars.

I signed up doing a special they had. Unfortunately I was not allowed to enjoy the nice facility do to poor customer service. One of the managers that signed me up conveniently denied what she explained in regards to child care and my then 11 year old having access to workout with me..

What I believed to be a location manager at the time was rude and accused me of lying in front of my two sons. Once everything was cleared up.. No one apologized or took any accountability for poor communication and treatment to a new customer.. I was fortunate that I was still within my 7 days to cancel.

The sad part is my son was excited to workout there and it spoiled our opportunity to bond over workouts there.

Treadmills, weight machines and other equipment have been broken and inoperable for months. Staff, including MANAGEMENT are discourteous and unfriendly. Cleanliness is not a priority at this location. Staff mainly stand behind the front desk talking and do nothing. Onelife Fitness Lexington needs new staff and management that genuinely care about members and who can operate and facilitate the day-to-day operations of a GYM FACILITY.

I am warning you! Cancellation with this gym’s billing company, ABC fitness, is a NIGHTMARE.

The buyout fee is over $60, and you have to pay all regular gym fees that fall within 30 days of your cancellation date. In other words, I have to pay over $85 just to leave. On top of that, I had cancelled my membership months ago, and I continued to get charged because I had a second account at a different location. But no. I only ever set up one. But somehow I had two. I cancelled that one as well. Now I just got charged over $69 and don’t know why, as this fee was not listed in the cancellation letter.

Don’t do it unless you’re going to stick with them for a while, or you may regret it.

This is a great gym. I use the pool area. The MORNING water exercise classes with Mary Carroll, Lisa, Lois, and Rebecca are great. I like the variety of classes for the Silver Sneakers and Silver Splash.
