So grateful for the time I got to spend at this OTF. Aleigha and Toni are the GOATs! Energizing, engaging, friendly - they had so much expertise in fitness and shared how to make improvements on all the stations. Such great energy at this gym. Don’t miss out!

"I had a facial today at Skynculture Spa, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the experience due to the loud music and heavy bass coming from OrangeTheory Fitness. The sound carried into the room and made it hard to relax. I hope you might consider lowering the volume or adjusting the bass levels so that all businesses in the plaza can provide their customers with a peaceful experience. I understand that music is part of the atmosphere, but the volume and bass level were disruptive to nearby businesses.

Careful….an OrangeTheory membership agreement is a rabbit hole of economic injustice. Very difficult for a customer to leave on simple terms as the ‘cancellation terms’ are extraordinary and burdensome to under represented communities. Recommend an alternative gym (and business model). Power to the people!

Five morning every week, this is the place I feel is my home away from home, has gotten me into the best shape of my life, and at this point I can’t live without! Great coaches and staff.

My favorite gym! The coaches (shout-out Kyle and Isabel!) are great motivators and instructors, and there’s always a friendly and helpful team at the front desk (another shout-out to Brittany, Nachelle, Alexis, and the rest of the team!) If you’re looking for a fun and challenging workout near Emory, there’s no better option.

I love coming here so much. I always get a good workout in and everybody is helpful and cheerful. I was sick for a week and was dying to come back. Orangetheory has seriously changed my life. I went from hating the gym and never working out to becoming addicted to going, and now I go 5-6 times a week. The benefits are endless, from both a mental and physical standpoint. There is a true sense of community and nothing better than showing up and having people know your name!! :)

When I first went to an Orangetheory Fitness years ago in a different state, the atmosphere was not one I wanted to be a part of. I didn’t return to an OTF for years until I moved close by to the Emory location. I’m so glad I gave it another chance at a different location. The team here is fantastic. Shoutout to Brittany, who is so helpful and nice to chat with; and Kyle, who is the best coach! He is motivating and helpful without feeling condescending when it comes to proper technique. I definitely recommend this location if you’re looking to try out OTF.

Caution is advised when purchasing promotions online, as they often resemble scams. I made a purchase online and was unaware that it would automatically enroll me in a $189 membership without an option to cancel, despite a 30-day policy. While I sustained an injury during a class (for which they were not at fault) and was in the process of moving, I still found myself unable to receive a refund. The membership wasn't visible on my account, leaving me completely unaware of the impending charge. It's evident that this is a corporate-run gym that fails to address the genuine needs of its clients. I strongly recommend exploring other gyms in the area.

The coaches here are fantastic! Each one I have trained with is encouraging, friendly, and down-to-earth. They have motivated me through the toughest workouts, providing great feedback and also showing me proper technique during rower and floor workouts. Emory Pointe is absolutely my favorite studio because of the coaches, the friendly front desk staff, and the spacious layout of the studio and workout equipment. I'm so grateful to have found this program as it has jumpstarted me into better physical and mental health, and is truly helping me build healthy habits and achieve my goals!

I have been coming to this studio since October of 2022 and it’s been such a great experience. As a graduate student in medicine, OTF fits my schedule so nicely; it’s so easy to build into my day. The classes are intense and fun and not to mention the best part — the coaches and staff. The coaches here always push me to be better; they always know what to say and encourage me to challenge myself in respectful and encouraging ways. They’re focused on teaching class, but also take the time to stop and talk to you if you need it. The front desk staff always greets me by name, ask me about my day, and they all know I like to start on the treadmills, ha. Additionally, the studio is always spotless; I use the showers a good amount since I’m usually rushing to school and they’re always clean and stocked. Everyone here has made my life better in some way and I am so thankful for this studio and these people! I always look forward to my OTF classes here, they’re typically the best part of my day.

The ownership group allows the equipment to stay broken for months... They also own the midtown facility and the broken equipment is replaced immediately there. With the increasing competition of F45 going in, I would think the ownership group would invest in their facility. I'm seriously thinking about switching to F45 after 4 years at orangetheory.

Studio is quite small. Lights in bathroom don’t work. That’s fun trying to use the restroom in the dark. Showers provide no deodorant or lotion. No hooks on doors either. Parking is validated easily so that was nice. Coaching was average. No warm welcome as I was a guest from another studio.

Visiting Atlanta, currently this studio is closest to me. Within walking distance, which is pretty impressive. This is basically the closest I’ve been to a studio before.

That said, I swung here on my birthday, this Friday on the week of Independence Day.

First time here at the studio, I had to sign a waiver and everything, as is customary whenever you attend a new studio.

Wouldn’t you know, they gave me the wrong form to fill out? Yep, it was the new membership intake form. I only found out about it after filling in all the blank fields. I thought it looked different, and that’s because it’s not the right form at all.

All the folks at the front desk seem way too young for their own good, all girls, though not sure why it’d matter. Anyway, they messed up and gave me the wrong form to fill out, wasting my time even though it wasn’t a big deal bc I showed up like 15 mins early, but more importantly I could see that on the desk they’d done the same exact thing to someone else who had yet to pick up their forms. Turns out the front desk lady was rather clueless, and they gave me the one form on the table (intended for someone else) that was the right one — the form for an intake to a new studio, rather than a brand new member. Shortly, I overheard the same person asking via phone call, how to access that form on the site. I honestly feel this sort of egregious negligence can only derive from being too young and inexperienced. Definitely need someone older manning (or womaning?) the front desk.

Anyway, I would be content to let that slide, were that the only mistake or inconvenience that was noticed. But alas, it was not.

I mean, on the form I filled out, they could see the date I listed as my date of birth, was the same day as *today*. Still, no response other than dead, screaming silence. No “aha!” moment. No lightbulbs flickering. No bells pealing out in the early mid-morning. Nothin’ but crickets, woe to the world.

The workout was fairly decent. The first time I didn’t see my name show on the screen, so I had to power off my HR thingy and then switch it on again. It seemed to do the trick, but it took a while. I’ve also come here once more, and plan to at least once again before I pack up and head out of Atlanta. As I say, I’m merely a visitor here.

Even after workout, no bells going off, did not see “happy birthday my name” on the board up front. I had to go up to front desk and prompt them — “Hey is this Lizzie’s birthday today? Who is that?” “Oh not sure, hold on she might have written her name down there, not sure it’s her birthday.” “Oh, gotcha. I was just checking, btw it’s also my birthday today..” *awkward pause* “ohh no way..?!? wait, that’s pretty cool. Congrats, I guess, on the birthday thing.”

Anyway, bit awkward conversation, but I did mention to the coach earlier too, she seemed a bit more receptive, gave me some tips on places to eat at or check out in Atlanta. Problem is, already had noted down those places anyway, so the suggestions largely weren’t too helpful, and the cheer/appreciation for a members birthday was literally nonexistent.

In my heartfelt opinion, I pay way too much for membership at OTF, and certainly not to entertain staff missing your birthday completely (even when it’s on a form they ask you to fill out, and which they should be entering right after the fact) and not to receive shock and complete dumbfounded blank stares when the news is broken over the wire, so to say.

The icing on the cake, people are mean to you here and the other members don’t really care what you’re doing when you’re doing here, but that’s ok, I’m not here to make friends or anything but maybe receptive and open-minded moods would be rather splendid — unfortunately, still a bit fat “NOPE!” on that front.

In fairness, this is a generalized problem across most if not all OTF studios, so I won’t hold this against them here (not too much anyway).

All said, location is great, staff are not, and members are non-caring, unsympathetic workout robots. But hey, that’s OT mindset for you, what can ya say.

The manager was extremely non-apologetic and inflexible about their cancellation policy, despite the fact that I just sustained an injury in my foot which prevents me from using treadmills. I was informed that I can now use a bike, but I don't like stationary bikes and it seems ridiculous that they can't make an exception. Additionally, since I contacted them two days past the date I signed up, she is now going to continue to bill me for the next two months. Completely ridiculous, would never recommend this place.

I love everything about OT Emory Point. The instructors are FANTASTIC - so encouraging, challenging, helpful, funny, inspiring, and kind. The whole staff is super great- I feel known, appreciated, and hopeful every time I come through those doors! I love that I was able to go from NEVER working out on a weight floor to now feeling pretty confident in most of the floor exercises, and increasing my weights! I love the friendly competition, mostly with myself, and the way the instructors get to know me and challenge me to keep doing better. I feel healthier and I've created a habit of coming 3-4 times a week consistently for 6 months now. I never dreamed I'd love going to the gym - but that's surely how I feel about OT Emory Point!!

I had a good first month experience but when it came time to renew I wasn’t aware of the automatic renew. I was called because my credit card had expired and all they cared about was taking my money. I explained that I was out of town for my grandmother’s funeral and would be moving the following week and wouldn’t make it back into the gym for another 2 weeks. No sympathy at all - all they cared about was me giving them my updated credit card info. I asked many questions because I was unaware of the automatic renewal and asked if I could freeze my membership until I could actively partake in classes again. No nothing. She continued to ask for my credit card details and I said that I would give it to her when I’m ready. In an extremely unprofessional manner, she hung up on me. This bothers me so much that I do not want to return to that location ever - even if it involves signing my termination paperwork.

The 30 day cancellation policy is unrealistic. I tried to cancel and I was two (2) days past my 30 days and the manager, Taylor, insisted on charging me not only for this month, but next month as well. $200 for nothing at all. Not to mention they insist on hard copy paper work. This is 2018...are they really scanning and sending forms for us to scan and send back? They also insist on members appearing in person to make changes to their account. It's a huge oversight for a great workout group to not make things easier and convenient for members.

In addition, this Emory Point location could use a manager with a background in customer service. People are very busy and sometimes certain types of workouts phase in and out of their busy lives. The cancellation policy at Orangetheory and lack of customer service does not take the 2018 customer into consideration. This cancellation policy and treatment of members will ensure that those members who have to phase out of Orangetheory, for whatever reason, will not return after the poor treatment and additional incurred costs. Too bad. A company is only as good as its front-line. This Orangetheory's front-line could use a refresh.

My 30 day back guarantee was not honored by Taylor Hockley. This studio has very little integrity or idea of good customer service. They would rather make some money than do right by their customers. And I know this didn’t just happen to me because they had an immediate response of “just because we verbally tell you something doesn’t mean it’s legally binding”. This was he first thing said to me when I tried to get my 30 day gaurentee! By a new worker! Guess it’s part of the onboarding. They got me.

My HR monitor didn’t work for me and I was not enjoying my membership for various reasons. I decide to do the 30 day back guarantee since I’m stuck with this $100 HR monitor that can only be used at Orange Theory.

I end up losing $259 on ONE month of Orange theory because I was not given a tiny slip of paper that you have to sign to get this gaurentee. They claim they found my clipboard from a month ago and found it unsigned on my board with all my other paperwork? Is there some hidden hallway with every clipboard ever given out, neatly put away? So strange.

I was verbally told that this gaurentee was included in my premier membership. No paperwork was given to me on the gaurentee. The person who signed me up seemed like she had a ton of integrity and she really sold me on it. I didn’t think I would need to use the guarantee anyway and it was certainly not my plan since I loved the classes.

The trouble started on my second ever class when my heart rate monitor (Flex) wasn’t working for me so I called and spoke with Taylor Hockley about switching to a different one and she told me it was non-refundable. I thought this was strange since I used a loaner one on my first class and it worked fine. I waned the chest strap instead. Why was I stuck with a broken piece of tech? I go in person and Taylor and Ansley tell me I can get a doctors note to change my RHR in the system to get a more accurate reading. I do so two weeks later and the desk worker Monique tells me that that is impossible as the formula only goes on weight age and gender? Waste of doctors visit and I was not enjoying the classes. The entire point to me was seeing the points I was getting to keep me motivated. I would be sprinting and be stuck in the green or blue so I knew something was wrong with my HR. They should adjust their hr stats based on each unique person.

Then I go to try and cancel for a month (I was within my first 30 days) or downgrade my membership since I was going on vacation and wouldn’t use it for a week. I find out that though they call it a month by month membership, you need to cancel 30 days in advance of the billing period (though the contract reads within 30 days) and then you’re charged for an additional month.

You also need 30 days to downgrade your membership.

So if you want any changes to your membership, you need to know two months in advance! That’s even worse than a regular gym that only requires it to be before the end of the billing period.

I go in to meet Taylor to talk and ask for a clipboard before she arrives and are given yet another one without the slip! Idk where they hide these slips but definitely be aware of this.

A 30 day cancellation policy is a joke and having to physically go into the studio to fill out the cancellation paperwork is a waste of time and is incredibly inconvenient. Instead of making it difficult for people to leave your program, maybe orangetheory should make their classes easier to get into (main reason for wanting to cancel - waitlists EVERY TIME I try to sign up for classes - sometimes even a week in advance) so that people actually get their moneys worth for their membership. What a waste of money both while being a member and now while trying to get out.

I never received a confirmation so I called. They told me I never sent it. My email and my document sign app showed that it sent. I called back 3 different times and then said I'd come in to sign it. Poof, all of a sudden they received my signed document via email. I was charged for 2 additional months and I didn't even go. ($300 wasted)

Rant #2- They got all new benches in the weight room area. The ones before were nice and very durable. The new ones are cheap plastic. One day we were doing high knees while standing on the benches... I slipped off (because there is no traction on a sweaty, plastic bench) and fell backwards on a pile of free weights. I was out of the gym for 1 1/2 months due to a very bruised tailbone. When I came back for the first time I recognized the same girl from the desk and I had the same trainer. I was never asked how I was doing and I thought that was super messed up.

It would be a lie if i said its wasn't a great workout! It definitely a high intensity program but Jonathan was a great instructor that really helped push the entire class to succeed and keep them encouraged and motivated.

I've been going here for about a month now and absolutely love it here. The trainers are very knowledgeable of health and mindful of injury. The staff at the front desk are very helpful and friendly as well. I also love the bathrooms and waiting area. It stays clean and there are ample amounts of wipes and hand sanitizers. The area is also located near plenty of places to catch a healthy and delicious bite to eat before or after your work out.

I feel challenged by the workouts, encouraged by the trainers and motivated by the process. With working out ADD, the different classes and goal setting hits the spot for me.

WARNING! Difficult to cancel membership.

My wife wasn't going because she was busy with work and had trouble finding the time. She called to cancel, and their policy is that you have to go in and sign paperwork in person. She said she didn't have time to come in, that's why she was canceling and requested that they email her the paper to sign. She was told the only way to cancel is in person and with a 30 day notice.

It seems like a month to month service, but they will get an extra month out of almost anyone who stops or takes a break.

Poor customer service.
