My 2 year old loves going to gymnastics here with the parent and tot class. She has been going for about a year. Her favorite teachers are Meegan and Margaret!

This review is based of our experience with the preschool instructor (an older white lady). The facility is nice and we were really excited for my daughter to start her first gymnastics class. We arrived 20 minutes early to get familiar with the space. She was so excited to start and meet new friends. Unfortunately, the instructor showed up late, didn’t introduce herself, or acknowledge any of the parents. She simply closed the door and began the class without any welcome or explanation.

As a parent watching through the glass, I could see how impatient and dismissive the teacher was. This was her very first time in any type of class like this, and it was heartbreaking to see her just sit on the floor, waiting her turn, only to be the last one to participate. The teacher showed no effort to guide or encourage her and appeared visibly frustrated.

Near the end of class, my daughter was made to cry by the instructor’s harsh tone while trying to do the exercises. When I asked what happened, the teacher told me “she wasn’t following directions.” I explained it was her first time, and she responded with, “I know.” She said if she stopped crying, she could return to class and get a sticker, but she was too upset. At the end, the teacher handed stickers to every child except mine and left without any follow-up or care. She simply turned off the lights and walked out, leaving us standing there.

This was supposed to be a positive introduction to gymnastics, but instead, it was an upsetting and discouraging experience for my daughter. First-time students deserve patience, encouragement, and a welcoming environment—none of which we experienced here. I do not recommend this place for beginners or anyone looking for a nurturing atmosphere.

Paulding Gymnastics has failed me and my daughter. My daughter has been doing tumbling and gymnastics for a bout 3 years now. Got to mention the tumbling Coach Mr. Bill is amazing. The coaches that my daughter had for gymnastics weren’t really there to teach they were really only there for a paycheck it seemed. But anyways all of a sudden they had a rate increase. Failed to tell me that they were increasing in may when I registered her for the fall class and didn’t find out til the day she was going back to class of the increase. It’s very unprofessional like. Lady told me that they just decided to go up in June and I look back at my emails and they have the original price I was paying and then you scroll over and see the new price but it’s very deceiving. You should have took the old rate off. That’s not how you do business.

Hard to watch your child as windows are hard to see out of and view is blocked in some areas. The kids seem to have a good time and they are learning.

We booked a party six weeks in advance. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel four weeks in advance of the party. They kept my $50 deposit even though we weren’t able to have my daughter’s party. I knew it was non refundable but come on. Lesson learned. As far as the facility it’s mediocre at best. Restrooms are dated and never clean. The only thing I absolutely did love was her coach. He was great! I’d tour the facility and get a complimentary class before I sign up my child.

My daughter is 3 and went here for about 3-4 months and she loved it! Unfortunately I did have to pull her out because in a class size of 3 children the instructor wasn’t the nicest to the children and had absolutely NO patience! Every time my daughter would hug her she would just push her away and would always seem irritated. I think having another instructor in there with her would have helped the children because how do you expect to have toddlers wait “patiently” on the carpet while they see their other friends jumping and flipping. Not a very good class. Would recommend somewhere else!

Edit::: Michelle and Rachel are the most rudest office staff I’ve ever met. I don’t think I’ve ever met a company like this. BEWARE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

My daughter went here for 3 years in the tumbling class. Never really learned anything the 3 years she was there. We stayed because that is where she was comfortable until the coach kept making rude comments about how she was doing things and didn’t help her out as much as other kids. He always tried to make things a competition and he put her up against other kids and would make comments like if you done it this way you would be better. We tried to talk with coach and it never worked out. Glad we left she is doing way better at a new place that we have been at for 6 months and has learned more in 6 months than 3 years. Save your money!!!!

My daughter has been a gymnast at Paulding for about 12 years now, and we have had excellent experiences with the entire staff. The coaches go above and beyond to ensure success, and always work to bring out the best in the students. Additionally, the office staff is courteous and works to make sure students and parents are cared for. Paulding Gymnastics has become a second home for us.

My daughter has never participated in extracurricular athletics. Growing up, my parents never got me into anything of the sort either, so I have absolutely no experience in any of this. I simply have no idea where to start, how to navigate the process, etc.

Taking the plunge, I registered online and finished the process on the phone. I was told prorated amount due was $60 for the remaining June classes, which was due before our first class.

I paid online. I checked in with the front desk, they verified our payment, and directed us to the waiting room. Very dark, but maybe that’s by design? Every few minutes a class was called into the gym, but I couldn't see who was speaking or hear who was being called. I wasn’t even sure what to listen for. Around the class starting time, still unable to clearly hear the announcements, I asked the girl at the door and she said my daughter's coach (mind you, all I know is his name) would call us back shortly. A few minutes later, I was pretty sure her class was being called, and we got up quickly and walked to the door but couldn't see where any of the girls had gone as they blended in to the gym full of kids. We didn't know what her coach looked like so that didn't help. We made eye contact with a man who introduced himself as Charlie, was super friendly, and he took my daughter over to her class. I was directed to another dark room upstairs to watch.

From there, I saw my daughter below. She was to herself and in the middle of a bunch of girls being dismissed. She looked confused, as was I. There was a coach and small group of girls nearby that I assumed she was supposed to be with, but for some reason she was 15-20 feet from them. A few minutes later, I watched as that coach and class walked across to the other end of the gym and I thought "I'm pretty sure she's supposed to be with them..." But what do I know? I couldn't do much from my location. Then, the dismissed girls had cleared out. The coach was gone. The class was gone. She was sitting alone, stranded, crying, and confused. Someone finally came to her and walked her towards the waiting room so I shuffled back down and met her there. We were advised to let her watch instead, but the last thing she wanted to do is watch at that point. So we left.

All it would have taken was a structured orientation, an introduction by the coach so my daughter knew who to turn to, or a "what to expect" from literally ANYONE. I tried making it clear to every person I came into contact with that we were new, lost, etc. While everyone was nice, the place as a whole is only structured for experienced families. I still can't wrap my head around why her coach would leave a NEW student on the other end of the gym. She's a child, had no clue what she was doing, and was relying on guidance from the adults in the room. But instead of guidance, she was left behind.

I decided we wouldn't be returning due to the lack of organization and direction. I called and spoke with Natalie and explained that we left after 10 minutes of the first class, wouldn’t be returning, and reasonably asked for a refund. Before and after speaking to the office manager, she told me repeatedly "Yeah, we don't do refunds. Sorry for whatever happened.”. I was not asked for details about my experience, nor offered to speak with management of any kind. It was like speaking to a brick wall, honestly.

Side note: I learned after paying for the month that usually, the first class is free as a "trial", and Natalie didn't offer me any explanation as to why I was told to pay for the month before having attended a trial class. Again, it was just "sorry, yeah we don't do refunds so..."

It's not even about the money, it's the principle. If a new student AND parent leaves your establishment in tears, what does that say about your onboarding process? That we're just not cut out for it? We weren't even given a fair chance to become adjusted. So, if you're a parent like me, who knows nobody, has no experience in extracurriculars, and needs reasonable guidance, this place isn't for you.

My daughter had a try out there. The coach said the tryout would last an hour. After 10 minutes into the tryout she said she had seen all she needed to see and suggested my daughter go back 2 levels! The Level she was suggesting was a level my daughter Had mastered and had qualified for the highest level of a state competition. The only thing she actually witnessed was my daughter do was low bar. She seemed super annoyed with my daughter from the very beginning. My daughter is eight years old and was extremely nervous to be trying out at a new gym with someone she has never met. You cannot tell me that in 10 minutes you can evaluate someone when you have not seen them do any of their skills! Not professional at all!!!

I like all that my daughter has learned and perfected, having always wanting to do gymnastics. I am just really disappointed that for the price and expense the kids should do more than compete against each other. They never participate in outside competitions. I thought I was paying for my child to possibly one day Compete in the Olympics. They learn basic gymnastics and it's costly so are the kids actually getting what we pay for???? I'm not sure. Nice place and nice people. Just thought it would be more regarding training and teaching the kids.

Update: My daughter has been going for years now. She loves it here! It’s certainly more organized than Douglasville gymnastics. So glad we made the switch!!!!! Here they do pickups so that it doesn’t cause an over abundance of people in the facility at once. I can comfortably watch my daughter practice. The coaches and staff are really friendly.... I really like it... Charlie the owner is fantastic!! He is sooo friendly. Coach Bill is my daughters cheer coach and he is the best!
Everyone is so pleasant. I drive from douglasville, but it’s worth it. Douglasville gymnastics was a headache. So many people you can’t walk around without bumping into someone. Paulding is so much better.

I took my daughter here to try out. They said the trial period is one week after one day they called and said she isn’t welcome back. I think for a child coming from a different gym they have to get use to a new environment. I think that was very unprofessional of them. I hope they never do another child like this again.

My daughter started at paulding gymnastics about 12 years ago. Since then she cheered for legacy which is part of paulding gymnastics. Charlie, the owner, and Bill helped her so much. They not only taught her how to cheer, they taught her how to believe in herself. She is now captain of the East Paulding varsity cheer team. Thanks Charlie and Bill for helping my daughter. We will be forever grateful.

We love Paulding Gymnastics! My daughter has been going there for the last 6 years, and I went there in my college years. I've known the owner for over 20 years and wouldn't even consider taking her elsewhere. This is, by far, the cleanest gym I've ever seen. Every time I'm there someone is cleaning something. Additionally, they teach them so much more than just gymnastics skills. They realize the impact they have on these children's lives and they put very careful thought and consideration into each and every lesson. I'm 100% convinced there is no better gymnastics facility out there.

Took my 4 year old after paying thinking how nice everyone seemed, turns out it's terrible. Not what I was expecting, not what I would have paid for. They push anyone under 5 up stairs in a small room and make parents sit beside each other in what essentially feels like an attic with no AC to watch the class through small windows. If that wasn't enough to upset me, the older teacher kept grabbing my child by the upper arm repeatedly and yanking her back into line. My daughter wasn't Miss behaving either, she would finish her set and just stand there waiting for instructions when the teacher would just grab and yank on her. Most horrible place ever!! When the class finishes, I'll never be back.

Paulding Gymnastics is an amazing gymnastics program in Dallas, GA. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. Charlie J. (great employer, industry leader and reliable consultant). This program truly puts the athletes and the community ahead of the business. Everything about them is for the benefit of the children being safe and having a blast while learning. I love to drop in for their toddler open gym times. My three year old has a blast on the obstacle courses, jumping on the trampoline, racing friends across the beam and of course, flipping. This is absolutely ideal for play-dates and getting energy out.
