I am a native of Albany Ga. I live in Las Vegas, Nv. I visit home monthly to see my family. I have a gym membership in Vegas for training. When I come home to Albany I workout at this planet fitness. The staff is always very helpful and accommodating. They always give me the best plan for the period of time I’m visiting. This gym embodies community service. Gym was cool (temperature wise) most if not all machines worked however not all tvs worked and tv controls on units also did not work. Like always not nearly enough airflow. Also not enough showers and the lockerroom/bathroom is quite claustrophobic. If you don't care about changing and peeing zones then the workout will be at a minimum sub optimal-optimal depending on your use and like of machines.

It’s the worst one I’ve ever been to. I travel a lot so I’ve been to quite a few planet fitness but this is my home gym. They cut the cable out so you only get a few channels the tanning beds. They cut down on the minutes there’s mold on the walls I’m here now and they’re not even open And it’s 10 minutes after seven and this isn’t the only time this has happened.

I have been a loyal customer of Planet Fitness for a long time. I understand corporate has rolled out a summer program for youth. I understand this may work in other places. It does not work at the Albany, Georgia location. Every time I come in, it’s a mad house. I have complained, but I'm told there's "nothing the staff can do". It’s more than just “equipment being used and busy”. I have watched them mess up the water fountain, be in the way and hanging out in the locker room, walking the parking lot.

All of this is weird as well as dangerous. I understand this is a corporate decision, but it’s getting out of hand. Even other corporate locations here in Albany have an 8pm curfew and police in the parking lot at night because of the “youth”.

I have walked in multiple times and walked back out, unable to work out. This is unfair. I am a PAYING customer as well as a loyal customer. And now I cannot even use your gym.

When your management says "there's nothing that can be done", then you know who is actually "running" the gym...the people who aren't even paying customers. Weird business model to lose paying customers.

This Albany store has fallen apart. This summer program for youth has ruined this gym. My teens come 4-5 times a week, but I won't let them come now due to the issues I have heard from other parents. This facility needs leadership very badly. I am deeply uncomfortable to send my kids there to this UNSAFE location. My friends and I have complained and the staff says basically too bad. We will be moving our PAID membership to a different gym.

Tried calling three times today, this is my third day (not consecutive) calling and trying to reach a manager so I can reconcile an old bill. They never answer the phone. I can’t just go up there whenever I want because I don’t have a car at the moment due to a wreck so I haven’t been able to actually go up there and speak to anyone. When I called today, they just picked up the phone and hung it right up. Very unprofessional. I enjoyed working out at this gym and was looking forward to going back when I can but I don’t know that I will now.

Im in there to get in and get out so Planet Fitness if perfect for that. The staff is nice and equipment is good. I do wish they had more multiples of certain popular machines like the chest press, as well as more options for calf machine exercises. Also more benches and extended mirror coverage in the free weight area Other than that, the cardio selection is great, plenty of smith machines too.

The gym area itself is okay. However, they totally ignore the bathrooms and showers! I seriously try to avoid going to the bathroom because it's horrifying! It's giving gas station filth!! I went in the bathroom today and there's one bathroom functional but it's filthy! People are afraid to approach the manager because she doesn't come off as friendly or personable. It's embarrassing. I've been a member for years, but I'm reconsidering if I'm going to keep my membership. This is bad customer service and it's deplorable. For the most part I judge the gym by the air quality, the equipment, the showers.

Air quality was good. Equipment worked fine. But the showers fall short big time. They were very unclean. The water heads aren't great and don't pour water so well.

There's lots of chlorine in the water you could smell. The temperature from cold to hot doesn't regulate very well.

Another thing. The lights are so bright.

It gets a 3 from me. I could workout there but not enjoy my shower time.

The poor customer service of planet fitness Albany overlooks all the workout equipment that you can find in there. It is not worth the hassle. The usual front desk lady, which everybody seems to be complaining about in their reviews, is a menace to have to deal with. I experienced it firsthand while trying to help a friend cancel his membership. Not only has she not been able to help in the past, but she also seems to always have an attitude towards people and seems to like to argue and lie to people. We have been told when managers would be in and when calling at said times, the managers are still not in (yet in other people's reviews this woman claims to have been the manager?? so who's really the manager here?). You can never get help at this planet fitness and it sucks that their customer service is so bad for being the cheapest option for people who simply want a nice workout place. Please get better customer service because people have been complaining about this for a while and it seems and it has not gotten better.

Planet Fitness in Albany, GA is not well run. I go for the tanning and the bulbs are always out in the stand up beds. The employees told me that corporate will not let them change the bulbs even though bulbs are out. I sent an email to corporate and they never got back with me. We pay for membership and we should get what we pay for.

This planet fitness does not care about your business. They were rude to me for no reason. I’ve been going to this fitness center a lot because it was the only big facility in Albany, Georgia. During the time I was going it was free during the Summer for students. So almost the entire Summer that I was going, I was just fine. I always used the mobile app to enter. Everything was just fine. One day there was a lady that was bigger than me that stopped me before I could even scan and changed my option to use the app on this day. She saw me before hand on other days using the app and it was no problem almost the entire Summer. This day she asked for my ID. She had so much attitude towards me. I asked her What’s the problem because I’ve been going there all this time using the mobile app. All I was trying to do was work out and do what I do best. There was a promo offered so I use the promo. I signed up through the app followed through all the requirements and used the app entirely to enter 95% of the Summer. She was very rude to me. She was the assistant manager I think. She bullied me and the other staffs members of Fitness did nothing to assist me. They treated me and my business as if it did not matter. I had no intentions of arguing causing a scene in this facility. I was trying to do what everybody else was doing and that was working out. The customer service was not there at all. The manager and her assistant were very insensitive about this incident and about me. God bless! I hope you get better customer service training.

Please follow up regarding the elderly abuse my grandmother was subjected to during her visit at Planet Fitness. United Healthcare also recommends their customers to use your services. I wonder how UHC would respond to knowing their clients are being subjected to poor customer service and bullying by staff. I’ve spoken with Asia. Asia was very professional and assured me that this situation would be managed. This review is a public reminder, that this be handled. I like the Albany club a lot. It's huge, has a wide variety of members, and it's the only club I've visited, so far, that has small televisions on EVERY cardio machine instead of big TVs hanging from ceiling. I have visit several PF and my home fitness center is the worst... the staff needs training on customer service skils . The center is not what it was when it was first open . For instance there is four hydrobeds and only one works per the female that was at the desk , she also informed me that I could only used the bed once during my visit . Whats the point of being a Black Card member with limited acess and not to mention its not a 24/7 PF but thats whats my memember ship is for . Today I called your albany ga location and was greeted by a woman who's name I can not pronounce however she stated that her name started with a D. I told her that I was looking for an employee named John whom I was told can help understand why my account was in delinquency. She stated to me that John would not be in until next week. So I then asked her if she can take a look at the account. After lots sighs and grunts she begrudgingly did so. Only to confuse me even more. After about 2 minutes she said that there were customers in line and she needed to go.
I have been a member for years now and I gave never been treated so rudely by anyone associated with Planet Fitness.
After about 15 minutes I called her back and ask for a manager, she then began to state how she is the manager, supervisor, and general manager. She went on to say how she was understaffed and how I wanted to talk for a long time. No ma'am, I just want to get my gym membership up and running again. However do to the angry attitude and complete lack of customer service "D" displayed over the phone, I no longer wish to be a member of planet fitness and I would like for my membership to be done.

Cancelled my wife’s membership this morning. Didn’t even get a workout in. Tiffany the manager won’t let me in because my wife wasn’t with me and she’s the primary name on the membership. I can workout as long as she’s there and I’m her guest. So I cancelled her memorial and try to open my own and she can be my guest. Not going to work. Why? Because you have to download the app just to check in to the gym. The manager said you have to have the app to scan yourself in! What if I don’t bring anything with me but myself to workout? I don’t talk or text or use my cell during my work out. So anyway she said she can’t check me in manually either cause sometimes they’re on the floor busy. Ok. And the key card she said I can still use but it’s not gonna last long cause it’s tearing up and it won’t even scan anymore. My wife and I have been going to this gym for 2 years now. And just because I don’t carry my cell phone in there to workout then I can’t workout because I can’t check in without an app. What if someone broke their cell phone and can’t use it? I don’t get it? Don’t go to this gym! The new manager likes the to show her authority way too much. Not worth all this just for exercise. I’ll go to the other gym.

Poor managerial staff. Asia to be more specific. Piss poor excuse for customer service. Was dismissed because the insubordinate girl didn’t want to be bothered with answering my question. If you do not know the information just ask someone who does. Dismissing paying customers is bad for business but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere that’s deserving and treats loyal customers with respect.

The general manager and assistant manager lack customer service skills. Please watch your kids around them because they will try to harass and belittle them. Planet Fitness. The no judgement free zone.. as long as you don't mind being muzzled. I completed a survey and left the comment that some of the front desk staff aesthetic does not fit the gym culture or vibe. Every time I walk in they are slumped over the counter and have a glazed look in their eyes but I will say they are nice people. Management, get the staff some chairs so they can sit down behind the counter and not look like they're loitering. While I don't appreciate my freedom of speech and freedom of expression being called a policy violation I do understand staff bring their bias to work and try to bully members out of a ten dollar membership fee. The owner should take feedback and apply it to make this specific gym a more professional place because its turning into a block party. If you don't want feedback do not send out a survey.
