I have been to many Planet Fitness gyms since I travel frequently. While the general layout and equipments of PF are very similar across the nation, each one has its own peculiarities.
This one so far is busy for one and has variety of equipments for workout. I like when it is busy for motivation.
Staff is friendly. I think it is reasonably clean considering the amount of traffic all day and all night.
overall I give it 4.5+ out of 5, taking 0.5 for a leaky roof (didn't bother me though!) and spotty WIFI.

I have called PF Americus my home gym for the last almost 3 months, and I couldn’t be any happier! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can honestly say this is the BEST Planet Fitness location I’ve ever been to. The staff here in Americus is nothing short of incredible—they truly make the gym feel like a real Judgment Free Zone. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine kindness, encouragement, and positive energy.

The employees don’t just “do their job”—they care about making everyone feel comfortable, no matter where you are in your fitness journey. They know their members, they check in, they help, and they go above and beyond to make sure the environment is clean, welcoming, and motivating. The staff here creates an atmosphere where people can show up exactly as they are, without fear of judgment or intimidation. That’s not something you find everywhere, and it makes all the difference.

You can tell they take pride in making this gym a safe, supportive place for the community. They’re approachable, respectful, and always ready to help with a smile. I’ve watched them encourage beginners, celebrate members’ progress, and foster a vibe that makes you actually want to come back. The culture at this Planet Fitness is what the brand is supposed to represent, and that’s thanks to the team running it right now.

I’ve been coming here for a few months now, and every time I come, there’s an issue. Most of the staff are rude and unhelpful, and they often just stand around. Trash is left on the floor for weeks at a time—for example, the same claw clip has been sitting there for a couple of weeks now. I really like this gym, but if this continues, I’ll be canceling my membership.

I had a great experience at Planet Fitness in Americus the staff that was very helpful very friendly the equipment that I was clean in the instructions on how to use the equipment was very plain and simple easy to understand

The gym is well equipped and staff members can be seen cleaning and caring for the facility. They lack dumbbells above 75 pounds, kettlebells above 30 pounds or traditional squat racks all they have are smith machines which are limited in their suitability. The lack of that equipment is the reason for only four stars

That aside, you are able to get a good workout in, rarely have to wait for a piece of equipment and the staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Two staff members in particular (Wes and AJ) are always seen walking around cleaning and organizing equipment to maintain a pleasant experience for members. AJ takes the time to know members by name and that gives you the small town gym feeling in a big corporate gym. Well done to all the staff members but specifically Wes and AJ

I’ve been employee for planet fitness for a while. And I never been to a place like this. It’s a new place and the bathroom smell like piss. It’s only been open for maybe five or six months and it smells worse than a public outhouse because nobody’s cleaning the bathrooms. And this is not even the biggest thing. Tonight I was at working out at the gym and I was told to leave because I had my bag on the floor. my response was what about everybody else’s bag. I’m being singled out. I can only think it’s because I am white. There is two staff members who have been doing this to me. I went to the gym Tuesday and had my bag on the floor and the GM was there and the same workers were there. And they didn’t say nothing but tonight when the GM was not there, they come up to me and tell me I have to leave because I have my bag on the floor. I said what about everybody else they said we told you before. No one should not be singled out at all. I just want to workout. I love planet fitness. I’ve been all over the country and never have I’ve been so disrespected as I’ve been at this planet fitness in Americus Georgia. I will be talking to the GM and I will keep you posted. no place should someone be single out because of their of there skin color This is 2025…..I used to put my bag in the locker in July. But Somebody broke into my locker and stole my stuff in my bag. Which had a lock on it. I brought it to the assistant manager’s attention and her response was that’s your own responsibility so then from that day for I bring my bag to the floor. Now I’m single out because of it and my workout cut off so upsetting……

Great place to go however, constant leaking roofs and someone keeps stealing cash out of people’s wallets in the Men’s locker room and the manager can’t do anything about it. The person goes into the men’s lockers that don’t have locks on them and rifles through their bags and takes hundreds of dollars out. BRING A PAD LOCK!!

The gym itself is not bad, it’s always a pleasant experience. It’s the absolutely hypocritical staff. I had been sharing a black card membership with my wife. I used the guest pass and she got in with her black card. Sometimes, my wife couldn’t make it to work out with me, so I’d go by myself or with a friend who also had their own membership. This had been going on since at least Easter 2024 (review written May 6, 2024). For that amount of
time, I’d been getting into this gym with no issues using the guest pass. All of a sudden today, I was forced into needing to have my black card member I was getting the guest pass from, or I couldn’t work out. The staff had witnessed me check in multiple times by multiple people, and never batted an eye. Why is it such a problem today? And they were not willing to listen to me at all; it was either I got my own membership, brought in the black card member, or left, despite the fact I had informed them of what I had been doing all this time.
