Rudest staff ever. Everyone knows that any transaction made over the weekend won’t complete until after 10am on a Monday. I was denied access at 8am due to that default by the management I was considering changing this to my home location, no longer will and it 2 miles from my house I would rather go to my original location at Cumberland Mall because they understand how banks work & don’t deny you a good workout over casualties

I went into Planet fitness last week with my sister. The general manager was there. I told him that my phone is currently 0 percent and I would like to provide my phone number to get in. He said, I cannot do that. I said, what so many people have allowed me to give my phone number. He said they were not supposed to. I said I have been coming to planet fitness for over 5 years, and I have never had a issue providing my phone number to gain access to the facility. Then he said, I will need to see your ID I said that's fine. I told him that my nickname is on file. He said the name on the ID has to match the name on file, I said what? I am telling you its my nick name but the last name matches my ID. Then he said, I cannot let you in. I said why? He said because I cannot. Then I asked him to print out the policy stating a nickname cannot be on file, and that me and my guest are required to present an ID. He printed out the policy, and it does not state that a nickname cannot be on file. I said can you cancel my account, he said I can cancel the account but you cannot get a refund. So you are willing to cancel the account, but not allow me to come in? He then said you are not allowed to come into this planet fitness anymore then he called security. I was having a simple conversation with him and he got very aggressive. We decided to be the bigger people and left. As we were leaving the building security and the General manager ran after us. Security said I would like to talk to you, I said, no we are leaving have a good day. We left the building and they followed us out. I said to security please stop following us, they proceeded. I said please stop following us, they proceed to follow us. I said please stop following us, they proceeded to follow us and at this point my sister was yelling help the entire time as they continued to follow us. Then I said, this is harassment please stop, they kept going. I said, this is harassment please stop I cannot hear you, I just want you to stop. They kept following us. Then the general manager looked at security and told him lets go. This happened outside and as my sister was yelling help a bystander walked passed and said are you guys okay. If someone can please give me corporate contact information I will greatly appreciate it. I will be posting the video of this harassment on all social media platforms across the board. The general manager should be fired for the way he conducted himself.

Zero Respect for Women’s Privacy — Do Better, Planet Fitness

I’ve been a loyal member for almost a year, but after what happened recently, I’ll never come back. While I was undressing in the women’s locker room, a person who was clearly male entered the area wearing a wig. I was completely exposed and felt humiliated and unsafe. I immediately went to staff expecting action or at least concern, but nothing was done. Instead, they seemed more worried about being “politically correct” than protecting a paying member’s comfort and privacy.

Every member deserves to feel safe and respected in the locker room, regardless of gender identity or beliefs. The way this location handled the situation was unacceptable. I cancelled my membership on the spot, and I’m warning other women to be aware of how little this gym values your boundaries.

This location is cool .. just make sure you plan for a workout that is no more than 90min long .. you will need that extra 30min prior to your exit (bathroom usage, quick shower / rinse off, etc); for that 2hour validation ticket to exit the garage. — if you travel to the location without the use of the parking garage; you should be good. Otherwise, be mindful of that parking garage exit fee 😂

Aron is a unprofessional and weird man and he wonders why his career is at such a low value lol... the general manager is also very weird.. it's always a problem when I come there... today I came to work out and I had my stand on foldable scooter.. I always bring it in to charge while I am working out and I'd leave it under the counter in the locker room which was in nobody's way.. I came in today and he had a problem with it and I had no lock so I had no choice to leave because I wasn't going to leave a foldable electric scooter outside for someone to steal ... 5/5. Celestine & Favilla offer quite literally, some of the best dialog and customer service I’ve experienced, ever. I don’t think I’m overstating this—their authenticity is unmatched, and likely impossible to teach. I can’t quite recite the rest of the staff members, but my experience has been nothing short of pleasant. The facility is also clean, not frequently crowded, and conveniently nested in the heart of Midtown.

This is one of the nicest Planet Fitness locations I’ve ever been to, however, the general manager JAIME is very nasty, rude, & he discriminates extremely bad. The staff members, more specifically, Mr. Chaplin is extremely kind! He always greets us & helps us when necessary. Since I’ve been working out here, Jaime made me & my friends feel uncomfortable every single morning that we work out. He’s not welcoming, he does not greet the guests as we walk in like the other staff members. He acts as if we don’t belong there. He told us that our guests can’t use the black card member benefits, even though every other location allows it & it’s in policy to allow it, with exception for the tanning beds. He has a new rule to enforce every day that we come to the gym, but somehow has nothing to say to the other guests. He allows homeless people to use the recovery equipment but has a problem when the people (us) bring our guests & want to use it. This has been an ongoing issue for weeks & I plan on taking this a step further. This is a great gym, brand new location, very clean & quiet, however, I’m definitely switching to Lifetime. This is becoming a headache!

This location is unprofessional and should not be open.I open a account with planet fitness from my home via online. My house is closer to Cumberland mall area is closer to my house. Moving past that, they set me up at the midtown location. I started this account in 10/2024. I came to the store on 11/27/24 to cancel my account. They did not cancel my account and since then to date they have had 4 managers.the morning of April 17, I seen a charge come thru to my card for planet fitness. I went up there and spoke to the new GM name Jaime. He tells me it's not his fault and they dont do refunds. I was explaining him in detail wat happen. So they was asking for cancelation papers i didn't have, so I cancel thru him on the 17th and tried to speak to corporate and detrict manager. Which he gave me a hard time with that. Now she said she can't give me a refund without documents and I didn't have cause I didn't know I needed them. Now I cancel on the 17th of the month, I still didn't get no documents. So I called jaimi for my documents and they have the wrong date on them. This coumpany is bad business frfr.

Hours are not dependable. If you’re going to be closed, then you need to advertise it. I showed up at 10:30 am and found other members with looks of disappointment to find the lights off and doors locked. The space and employees are great but they have to do better with parking. I was 1 minute over my time (although it was validated within 2hrs) and the attendants let me hold up traffic until someone behind me was willing and able to pay the stupid $4 for going a minute over since I didn’t have a physical card on me. Seriously, make it at least a 2.5 hr validation. Most people I know workout for at least an hour and if you’re far from home like me you have to shower before heading out.

If you enjoy being scammed, ignored, and talked to like a burden instead of a paying customer( paying shading your own will, at that), this is the Planet Fitness for you. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership since October after moving out of state. Following their ridiculous policy, I mailed in not just one, but TWO cancellation requests. Both cancellation requests mysteriously “never arrived,” and every time I called, the manager was either “busy,” “not available,” or simply refused to come to the phone. When I finally got through to him weeks ago, he assured me he’d cancel my membership over the phone that day. Which for one, if that’s an option, why are we making it so difficult for people? Because it’s a scam? Right… And yet I was still just charged AGAIN.
When I called back today to address it, he was dismissive, sarcastic, and flat out rude. His own employee confirmed my membership was only just canceled today, proving he never handled it when he claimed he did. I also just received the cancellation email TODAY, yet he kept insisting he did it days ago… right. And when I asked what could be done about the charge? “Nothing is going to be done, ma’am. I already tried to help you.” If this is what Planet Fitness calls help I’d hate to see them neglect someone. At this point, I’d love to know if corporate endorses this level of incompetence or if this location is just special. But seeing as how when I asked how to contact cooperate or anyone above and was denied the info, I guess I’ll never know.

Update: As I review the email, the manager lied multiple times. It states my request of cancellation date was on 2/19/25( which is TODAY). It also states my last visit was on 2/08/25. Which is false and an attempt to validate charging me for yet another month. I moved out of state months ago and have not been back to Atlanta. I will be contacting my lawyer. I suggest you teach your staff the definition of civil fraud.

This is by far my favorite Planet Fitness. Nice gym, I have been going here since they opened last year. The equipment is always kept in good working order and fixed quickly when broken. The staff is also very friendly and they do a good job keeping everything clean. One minor issue is that this specific location no longer provides barbell pads for the smith machines (they used to until end of last year). All other Planet Fitness locations (I’ve been to 30+ around the US) provide these pads.

Another day of many that the gym is not open on time. I have been coming since they opened. No exaggeration this gym has opened up late at least 30 times. They can not get it together. Be prepared to deal with the gym habitually opening late. Love the equipment. My problem is the gym is constantly being opened up late. Sometimes 45 minutes late. This gym unfortunately is poorly run and they do not communicate changes hours clearly. I specifically asked the staff about holiday hours and they told me the wrong times. I’m considering canceling my membership and going back to my old gym that is older but at least they open on time and communicate hour changes.

I visited this Planet Fitness location in Midtown Atlanta while I was on a vacation last October. I wanted to get some workout in. During my visit the staff was pleasantly nice. The gym was spacious and clean. The locker room was on point and the massage room was awesome. Overall the experience was great.

It’s new so everything is in good shape still, but I have used equipment and had bolts just randomly fall out, like on the smith machine with 400+ lbs on it… a bit concerning. Never been too crowded while I’m there. One thing that really bothers me, though, is the water fountains here have some of the worst water I’ve ever tasted and it leaves me feeling more dehydrated and my mouth feeling dryer than before I drank it. It’s awful. I want to get it tested bc something about it is not right. Definitely bring your own water. Staff seem pretty friendly. Not a bad gym overall, especially for the price.

When my "normal" gym was closed, I swung by for a workout here. Typical equipment indicative of a planet franchise, no "real" weights. Everything was clean and in good working condition. I stopped in on a weekday around 10am, so it wasn't busy and it was nice to see an employee walking around making sure everything was put away and wiped down.

I have been using PF for an almost a year , I travel a lot because of my job. I have used in cities as Charleston, Charlotte, Ashville and where I am from Greenville. But today I came to the PF in Atlanta GA at Peachtree street and they said I can not use my membership and also that I have to pay $5 dollar if I wanted… so I was going to paid and then he said we don’t accept cash.. omg! The hours are not great for me because I like to work out late at night. Also there are no signs saying that they shut the water off early before closing, nor do they tell you. Not very good communication for this location. The parking deck you must use can only be validated for 2 hours which isn't really long enough for me. This location just opened up in March 2024 and they're not off to a good start. They need to redo some things.

Me and my 2 friends come here every week after work, and we love this location! The staff is super nice and always welcoming. They have great equipment, some the girls don’t see at other locations. The bathrooms and locker area are alwayssssss clean (we’re usually there first thing in the morning). The black card amenities = chef’s kiss! Validated parking for 2 hours, yesssir. I've been a member of Planet Fitness for a while now, and generally, I've been satisfied with the facilities and equipment. However, in the past month, I've noticed a significant issue with their opening times. There have been more than a couple instances where they opened late, which has been quite frustrating. This inconsistency disrupts my workout schedule and is disappointing given the expectations set by their advertised hours. I waited 3 months to post a well-informed review. Internet people seem to hate on Planet Fitness for no reason. Sure, there are better places for you if you're an advanced lifter, but for a beginner like me, PF is more than adequate. The staff is very responsive to grievances, the machines stay in working order, and the massage chairs are amazing. I only wish they could validate parking for 3 hours instead of 2, but I don't think that's entirely within their control. Recommended!

I've been coming to this location since it opened not long ago. I started with a 4 * review and am now changing it to a 5. The reason is because I see the changes that are actively taking place to resolve the kinks. Joined as new member after being many years of membership with LA Fitness by Georgia Tech. They just opened in March 2024 and gym is well maintained. Locker rooms are clean as well. Staffs are friendly. Also, the fact that they have Lunk Alarm really sold me on this gym compared to LA Fitness where people constantly dropping weight, which was super annoying. Glad I joined this Planet Fitness!

I have been to Planet Fitness locations all over the country. This is by far the best gym I have EVER been to and a phenomenal gym. You cannot go wrong for $10.
