The workers are always polite always smiling unhelpful but I just recently found out that if you're not in a network with that planet fitness where you are you can only use it 10 time after that you have to pay $5 just to use the gym when it says you can use any planet fitness with the black card.

I had a membership here for 3ish years (cancelled a few months ago and came back about two weeks ago). The staff is always really nice and the gym itself is clean, but they’ve recently stopped allowing you to carry a gym bag of any kind while working out. I wasn’t told this when I signed up and was told mid workout that it’s not allowed anymore? I carry an inhaler, straps and other attachments during my workout, so I just find the policy insane. And I wish I would have been told that this is now enforced when signing up. They told me to wear a fanny pack to carry my inhaler & I proceeded to cancel. Please tell me who is wearing a fanny pack to lift lol

The place is clean and the staff are nice, however, I will never visit again. Night parking in the well lit parking lot. Back window of my car was busted out. Security was sitting in car 200 ft away. Security only covers the Floor and Deck parking area and not Planet Fitness. Police were called. Hopefully camera caught something.

Corporate management fails to maintain the few stair masters they have on site. They are overused and always breaking down.. Also the water refill is always down. BAD SERVICE!!!!
I came to do some cardio on my work break. I was denied access due to my footwear. I have worn my yeezys to the gym 100s of times and have never been denied access to do my cardio. This should be something posted on the site or sent to members in an email. Being out of town I didn’t have other shoes with me. Totally unfair. The female associate was very rude about it also. If it is a store policy IT SHOULD BE POSTED! Totally ruined my workout I planned. I definitely won’t be coming back to this location again.

I’m going to keep posting 1 star reviews until they fix the AC. I have spoken to management over and over, I bought them a thermometer showing them the temp is too hot, I have emailed. And for when PF comes on here in a moment and says “please email us at blah blah” - guess what? They don’t respond either. 1 star reviews over and over and over until this is fixed because I can’t work out when it’s 10 degrees warmer than every other PF and NO ONE seems to care enough to actually fix it. The showers here are a tiny bit bigger than a shoe box. The water comes out of the top of the tiny shower head more than where it is supposed to come out. Waiting for it to rain and going in the parking lot would be a better option. I dont know why they make them so tiny and use the worst shower head mo ey can buy.

I visited the Planet Fitness on Kirkwood in East Atlanta, near Inman Park station, to compare prices with LA Fitness. Thanks to Jarbari’s excellent customer service at the front desk, I signed up for the Black Card right away. He was professional, straightforward, and didn’t push or dismiss my questions about pricing. Jarbari presented the rates clearly in a friendly, down-to-earth way. Big thanks to him! I have been going here for years and it’s been great. I’ve always appreciated how cool they keep it - 67-68F even during heatwaves.

Unfortunately, likely to save some money, they’ve decided to slowly raise the thermostat. This summer, even on relatively cool days, the indoor temp is up to 74F. Recently it was hotter in the gym than outside! This is consistently one of the busiest PF I’ve ever been to, and the crowded gym + high temp = disgusting humid air so thick you can feel it combined with horrible BO during peak hours. Everyone is overheated and sweaty now. This has been going on for weeks.

I contacted the front desk, they said email the manager. I have emailed THREE TIMES and not even received a response. For the first time, I’m considering cancelling my membership because I genuinely cannot stand going there anymore. It’s just too disgustingly hot to enjoy. Set the temp back down to 67-68F or you will lose many members!!

I’ve been going to the Glenwood Planet Fitness for about four years now, and it’s hands-down one of my favorite locations. The parking is super convenient, and the staff is always so friendly — seriously, one of the friendliest teams I’ve encountered at any gym.

The facilities are consistently clean, well-maintained, and I’ve never had a single issue in all the years I’ve been going. It’s just a great environment to work out in, welcoming, comfortable, and reliable.

I’m really hoping this location gets the new equipment soon — if any Planet Fitness in Atlanta deserves it, it’s definitely this one!

I have just started going to this location and absolutely love the environment and feel at home. The people who work here are super friendly, it's clean and nice, but it's just way too crowded. I always come when the crowd meter is lowest, and there are never any weight racks available and barely any weight machines. Meanwhile there are a few dozen cardio machines sitting empty. It was packed at around 3/4 pm. Although it cleared out significantly before 6pm. This is always a boon when you want to get through your workout routine without having to wait for the machines. The staff that were here today were rude, disrespectful, and lacked empathy. I've never experienced this at Planet Fitness. I was assigned an aqua bed Number 3, and it didn't work, so I'm in pain. Rehabing from hip displacement. So instead of me walking up there. I called. I immediately got an attitude from the young lady who answered. First, she said I needed to get up and wait. I asked why? She said ma'Am it's policy for customers to come back to the desk every time and ask for another bed? I said, "Ma'am Ihave a bed, it's broken." And I'm looking at an empty bed someone has left mins prior. I was like, why request a new bed. I'm like, ma'am. I already have a bed. So she wanted me to get off the bed because my bed was broken and I was looking at an empty bed. So I asked her. Can you just put me on that bed. After the 1st session, I called back the male manager who had long locs, which was very disrespectful. He tells me the phones are for customers who are not at the gym. I was like. Wow , it took him a total of three seconds to hear the bed number and reset it. I can't really understand the reason. There were five people working, and it was a problem for one of the five people working to hit a button and add time. Maybe they should consider a new manager and staff because if all they want to do is stand around, why are you working at a gym?

Only suggestions: would be great if yall got some spin bikes like other locations, as all the cardio machines are really built for people 6' tall or more; I'm 5'5" and nothing adjusts quite right & I see others struggling in really unergonomic form that pushes unnatural range of motion. And PLEASE put a sign in the women's locker room to not use perfume or body spray in there; half the time I go in there I feel like I'm choking on freshly sprayed fake fragrances and I'm allergic

The Wesley Chapel Site removed all the equipment I used to enjoy. There is nothing there that interests me anymore. Mostly steps, treadmills, and weights. I have started going to Memorial Drive.

I'm an over the road truck driver, and this location is perfect. There's plenty of room in the lot for trucks and trailers. The gym is super clean and not overly crowded. The staff is friendly and I had a great weekend in their parking lot. I wasn't hassled at all, and I even got stickers from the gym for my truck to show I'm a member and not to tow me.

I love this gym! The employees don’t bother me which is great because I’m always in a rush. I quickly work out for 5 min because I’m always running late for work or get distracted by “something” once I get there, losing track of time (I have really bad A.D.H.D). I then get very sweaty and smelly just only after 5 min of working out (I am a very sweaty person but boy does my sweat make me lose a lot of weight)! I quickly take a quick shower at the gym to not smell sweaty because my sweat really smells. (The showers are always busy so I guess I’m not the only one, but somehow I always get lucky with one left not in use, just for me.) I then run out the door to head to work. When I finally arrive to work I have to run up 8 flights of stairs because it’s faster than taking the elevator…. but then I’m sweaty again (but not as sweaty), so I go freshen up quickly in the bathroom sink at work. I really need to manage my time and priorities better, find something to help me sweat less and stop running up the stairs and instead take the elevator. (I mean I’m already late so what’s a few more minutes of being late going to do?) Everyday I go into work, I’m prepared for my boss to let me go for my tardiness. Then I can spend more than five minutes at the gym (literally), but it’s been 5 years and ….. I’m still there unfortunately (so much for thoughts becoming your reality). I don’t know how I got so off topic. Anyways, on a positive note I accomplish my workout goals and my boss loves talking to me everyday about how we both go to the gym before work. He really admires that about me. Even if I only spend 5 minutes at the gym and he spends hours, but thankfully he never asks me how long I spend at the gym. This review is much longer than I intended and now I’m running late for work…. again, so I will end this review here. Thank you planet fitness!

I have only been going to this gym for a few weeks and the front of house staff especially "GE" do not have good customer service. The first day that I created my planet fitness membership, I was actually excited to try something outside of LA Fitness. When I went in my very first day a few weeks ago the employees were sitting on top of the table by check in and not very welcoming. I then proceeded to let GE know that I was unable to log into my account via the app can he check me in. His response was "no". Then I proceeded to ask why, he pointed to the wall without saying anything it read "must have ID present". No worries, I went to my car and got my ID. GE then proceeded to set my DL up so I scan it to be able to check in. One week later, unfortunately I forgot my ID and asked if he can look up my account so I can complete my workout today and he flat out shrugged his shoulders and said no. I proceeded to cancel my membership and will not be returning to Planet Fitness. I will be returning to LA Fitness, I've never received this type of service treatment from LA Fitness. LA Fitness also has it where they can manually check you in which is one of the reasons why they take your picture. I understand the rules are rules but the way GE has handled my membership is very offsetting and unacceptable.

Let me be clear, in March, I was discriminated against at the belvedere location on memorial drive. Due to me being Muslim. I was refused aquatic massage,and later overheard staff speaking about Muslim as we are not welcome in This country. I was offended and decided to leave and never return. In April,the company tried to charge my card after I called to have my account cancel,and it was not cancelled. I went in the location on April 23 to cancel and it still was not cancelled after I was told it would be after I went into the location. . so on July 26 Robin called me , insisting I recap on the events, further upsetting me and forcing me to relive the heartbreaking trauma, as I miss calculated my dates by 1 month and shw insisted my claim was invalid and has no bearing on my reason to cancel my account . As if I should be disrespected and talked about and made to deal with Discrimination,at its highest form and I was polite as I could be before breaking down into tears ,as Robin insisted I pay for a service I have not used this the incident and made light of the war in Palestine,and it's really says a lot about the company and I SUGGEST EVERYONE WHO IS AGAINST THE WAR IN PALESTINE CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP,AS PLANET FITNESS HAS EMPLOYESS LIKE Robin the General Manager ,heading the charge for the most horrendous form of hate crime I have ever seen in my living. I was kicked out of the Atlanta Kirkwood PF because of an expire card on file. The lack of professionalism and rudeness was unbelievable! I pay for my membership monthly via bank electronic transfer! The manager told me that the other (Black) clubs may not care but I wasn't welcomed there and I need to leave! I workout to help my anxiety and this surely violated the ADA rules. Nowhere on their website said a second updated card was required at all times, only a bank account!

Saturday afternoon and I've been driving since Warner Robins with a dinner meetup in Atlanta this evening. I figured this would be a good opportunity to stop for a little bit of exercise and a shower.

The 30 minute circuit was vacant and so I did not have anyone getting in y way as I did my workout on these machines including the steps to keep cardio going. Delightful release of endorphins.

Showers were okay with just barely enough curtain for privacy and a hook directly next to each one for my gym bag. They were mostly clean and I'll note that the one on the end was missing a shower head. It looked like maybe it's been that way for a while.

Still an OK workout and an OK shower and I'd stop here again the next time I am passing through Atlanta.

I’d give zero stars if I could. It’s impossible to cancel a membership. This location requires you to cancel in person. when I attempted to do this, I was told I could not cancel because the internet was down … and it would continue to be down for a multiple days. I was told there is no other way to cancel.

If your business model relies on unethical practices that charge people for a service they do not want, you do not have a legitimate business.

I will be issuing a complaint with the FTC and state attorney general office. This is so obscene.

I recently joined the Kirkwood Planet Fitness, and it has exceeded my expectations. The facility boasts clean equipment, ample machines, and a spacious layout, creating a comfortable workout environment. The staff is not only helpful but also friendly, making each visit enjoyable. The VIP member lounge truly lives up to the hype, featuring amenities like massage chairs and full-body hydro-massage beds, and tanning beds. One improvement would be lockers and a water station, less a small locker room, available to Black card members in the VIP lounge.

This location has potential to be a really good gym. Busy in a good way, well trafficked, ample parking, newer facility and equipment all combine to help make this a good choice for a workout. The reason for 3 stars is that the last couple times I have been to this location there has been some odd occurrences. On one visit I had to navigate around a guy sleeping in the locker room. Very unprofessional management and staff, the locker rooms bathroom and showers are always dirty. People working out there are awesome, staff especially in the day could use a lot more training on professionalism and management, it hasn’t been one time that I have entered the gym and not encountered an employee on their phone totally unengaged about gym business.Then the managers are rude and callous. It seems some arbitrary to ask for a clean gym with friendly staff ! Not worth the headache

You can’t really beat $10 a month for a gym. No, it doesn’t have every single piece of equipment I would like you to use, but find me a gym for close to this price that does! Yes, it does get really busy at times, but so does every gym. I’ve learned to adjust my workout to use the equipment that’s available. Only downside is when a piece of equipment breaks, you have to wait months for it to be repaired.

So i thought i canceled my membership well over a year ago But apparently planet fitness doesn’t like it when you do that so they don’t expect your cancellation . They stuck me with a big service charges, when I called & said look at your records I haven’t been once in over a year they agreed & agreed I hadn’t been but weren’t you or refund me the s40 service charge. I didn’t want all the monthly fees back that’s my fault for not noticing but I said you see I haven’t been I there can you refund me the surcharge since you made the mistake of not processing my Cancellation . Nope. So rip me off for one last payment Don’t use this gym, its subpar to begin with but they’re also scam artists & thieves on top of it, make sure you triple check when you cancel cause they will rip you off

I really love this location it's very clean and the equipment are newer. The front staff is very polite and delightful. I have a location closer to my house but I rather come this one. There was also police outside which was very like.

I've traveled to a lot of planet fitness's around the country and this is definitely one of the best! They definitely could use an upgrade on their black card spa, but that's a lot of locations. The general manager at this location, James, is a great one. When you come in and he's here, you know it's going to be clean. He's going to be the one doing the cleaning, but at least it'll be done right. From the bathroom to the equipment. I told him in person and I'll tell hin on here, great work James! Your work is appreciated.

I'll definitely keep on coming back to this one. 👍🏾

The young lady that's the manager at Greenbrier was filling in on the day we visited and she was a showcase of why you want good people up front and center to represent your business 💯 she took her time and explained the whole concept, what to expect and made us feel comfortable and ready to take full advantage of our memberships. Facilities were very clean and the place had good energy.

I have been a member of planet fitness for years now and moved to Atlanta and kept the membership. I have noticed in the past whenever I go to any location that more and more "Lunks" are taking over due to the price and the quality of the equipment. They come in and tie up multiple machines in prime time. That just happened to me at this location. I went up to the front desk because the young kid that is clearly on something decided to wave my wife down to get my attention and rudely looked at me and stated that he is setup on the equipment as he was already using something else. I asked him with a puzzled voice if was in fact using up all of this equipment and we couldn't. He stated "yes" with a rude voice like I was putting him out. This just happened to be prime time and it is against the rules of planet fitness and is supposed to be strictly enforced. However, it is sadly not anymore. When I went up to the desk the nice young person up there came back and told the kid he can't tie up equipment. After the staff member walked away the young kid came over to me and tapped me on the should and with a smile looked at me and stated that he is now using the equipment I'm on. After that I went to the front desk to ask for the GM and for them to cancel my account and my wife's. The GM didn't even care to ask why I was cancelling until I brought it up. The GM after dealing with me told me he will go over and talk with the person.

Fast forward a few days I finally got word after reaching out to the corporate office by the group that owns several of these franchises and said they would look into it. I finally got word back and this is what they stated.

I will tell you I am very disappointed that you let a person that likes to do what they want and try to intimidate your clients. You lost two good paying clients and gained a person that will continue to push out good clients as time goes on. Beautiful , well lit facility, but I wish they would wipe down the equipment. Yes, they provide paper towels and disinfectant spray but a thorough wipe down of equipment would be highly beneficial. It's very dusty. It helps to use the crowd meter in the Planet Fitness app if you prefer small crowds. Plenty of parking. Love the security cameras are watching the parking lot.

I love this location because the facility seems more organized. One thing that bothered me was that we were not greeted when we came in or acknowledged as we were leaving. Also, how safe is it to work out wearing Crocs? Two ladies came in together wearing them and one of them even took her shoes off and walked the treadmill. Does it really take 2-3 people to be at the counter? I feel like someone should have been walking the room often to catch things that shouldn't be happening. If so, someone would have noticed the Crocs and no shoe wearing last on the treadmill. PF gotta do better especially since a member recently died at a location after losing consciousness while working out.

Im from VA and was on vac in ATL, 20-26 Aug . I worked out at this gym everyday. I would like to say thank you to the front desk staff. Very kind/friendly and took time to explain /answer questions . The facility is clean, the atmosphere is great and the equipment is far better than the equipment at my location in VA. Again, Thank You!

Let me start by saying this is not my home gym and I've only been a handful of times. The workers at the desk are either in their phones or engaged in conversations with one another to the point that no one entering was greeted. The bathrooms are always half cleaned with pink mold in the shower and visible dirt on the "freshly mopped" floors. I will say the equipment is always in working order though.

I’ve been a member here for over 2 years and find this place excellent. The staff is kind and always doing their best to keep it clean. The machines are new and well kept. The only downside is there are no free weight squat racks but it makes sense for their business model. The facility is large and accommodates for the high amount of members. Love this gym!! The best option in Atlanta (trust me I’ve tried a lot of others)

I personally love this location. Been a member for the past year and go around 4 times a week. Every time I've needed something, staff are happy to help. It's a safe space and the first gym I've ever been to where I have been able to assume I won't be harassed in some way or feel unsafe. Staff are friendly and recognize regulars, and the clientele is diverse and respectful. I have seen staff and patrons alike helping new gym-goers learn the machines. Overall, it's a safe and welcoming environment, and as a consistent user, I haven't had a negative experience yet.

Gym is always clean and there are usually people cleaning or fixing things the entire time. Friendly front desk. I’ve been to several gyms from high end to low, the only things I miss are leg straps for the cable machine, an Olympic/Power bar area, and fixed barbells over 50 lbs. There are Smith machines to compensate but it’s just not the same. Great gym for beginners and longtime lifters alike. Bad gym if you want to compete or practice with Olympic lifts.
