This planet fitness has recently upgraded, adding many machines you wouldn’t expect at a typical planet fitness. They have cut wait time for some of the popular machines as well as reduced the amount of unused machines. Management is headed in the right direction to change the mind of what people should expect from a planet fitness membership.

I would recommend considering trying to build community a little more to improve the experience of members and likelihood they would invite others.

Maybe guest trainers, incorporate classes or boot camps, or other ideas that would help build better social connections within the gym.

The gym was closed for almost a month to make some upgrades but the upgrades was them getting rid of a lot of cardio machines and all the weight machines are cramped into one side of the gym and there’s a lot of empty space and areas. the flow of the gym is awkward now and you really feel like everybody is on top of each other now. Only gym in the area though so it is what it is

Giving 3 stars because the workers there are great. I usually go around 7am and there’s only one person working behind the desk. Usually a young man. He’s the only one there. I have no issue with him at all. There needs to be more workers there. The bathrooms were gross today and the paper towels were scarce. I’m not blaming the young man behind the desk because he’s the only one there. I’m blaming who’s ever doing scheduling because he’s needs an extra hand. Give him a raise or give him assistance.

I love my Greenbriar PF. The staff is friendly and pleasant. I didn't like the white dude in the building on Feb 26 at 4 PM walking around inspecting like he was an overseer. As a Black Card member, I visit other PF gyms throughout the metro. Greenbrier is my home gym location. This location does not have the latest equipment (squat hack, etc.) . The Cumberland location has less space but has newer equipment. The Greenbrier PF has good space, plenty of parking, is clean, and the staff is friendly.

Visited Planet Fitness Greenbrair today and was very impressed by the staff. Specifically Ms. Drea Ponder who worked diligently to keep the ladies room and surrounding areas clean and tidy. Had a horrible experience while trying to cancel membership. I hate the unethical ways of these corporate gyms trying to strong arm people into keeping unwanted membership by implementing ridiculous rules that deter you from being able to cancel. This is such a lazy gym. I was attempting to sign up and kept hearing a bunch of no’s in regards to the program my company pays for in regards to health and fitness. Had to go to another gym who actually took the time out to look into the system to see that it was accepted. I visited the Greenbriar Parkway location, and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m Nigerian, but the staff member named “Sed” was extremely rude and disrespectful. I have a balance on my account, but I showed her proof of my most recent payment that Planet Fitness deducted. Despite this, she told me I couldn’t work out. I would like to cancel my membership. This location is falsey advising 24 hour service. I have a very tight schedule and work until evening, so I joined this gym so I could workout at night because I was told it is open 24/7 mon-thurs this is not true they close the door around 9pm.

I've been a member here for about 8 years and have been relatively pleased with the up keep and equipment. However, lately things seem to be falling apart.

There are 2 machines, the Seated Leg Press and Calf Raise, both of which are relatively popular, that's been broken for quite a bit of time. This disregard for the equipment is a big issue for me and I'm considering switching to the Union City location.

It seems membership is thriving, don't understand why they would let the facility go down like this.

There is a new manager at this location and she is doing a great job keeping the machines working, instead of waiting for maintenance to fix them at a later date, like had been done previously. Sometimes the machines took weeks to repair despite it being something as minor as a slipped cable. She has done this on several occasions. Thanks to her and her team!

I've had black card since 2017 and paid planet fitness over $2000. I am very busy and only get to visit about 5x a month. After years of giving this gym thousands of $ the manager William with long dreadlocks refused to let me work out claiming I owed $40. I told him this was not correct and even came back to show my checking account transaction where the money was taken all the way through last month. He just stood there with this silly smirk on his face. No customer service skills whatsoever. This is the wrong person to have claiming to be a manager at this location. I was very disappointed as I never had a problem through the years. I will be cancelling my membership. Instead of standing behind the counter being selective about who can work out, You should be cleaning the equipment and making customers feel welcome. I am very disappointed in PF. Hire better staff!!! He could have just said please check with your home gym and resolve this issue rather than deny a dedicated loyal customer access. I called my home gym to resolve the billing issue and they agreed that there was no need to deny me access. They recommended I come in to resolve the billing issue as it could be an error. That's the right way William. If you want to supervise people and a large facility get the right skills. I have managed in banking for over 15 years so I know right from wrong!! I expect premium customer service and not just some random person glancing at a screen to make a decision. If William had skills he would have pulled me to the side and had a private review of my account rather than humiliate me in front of the other PF staff. A manager position is not "power" it is really about being better and knowing how to resolve issues that come up throughout the day. I've never complained but the staff at this gym appear to just stand behind the counter with sour faces. Please train your staff and treat your customers better. I will being writing a letter to PF corporate customer relations VP to share my experience.

We enjoy this location the staff is always professional, the gym is always in top shape clean as well as the equipment and workouts areas but we were upset and a little confused coming in today as to why there are no longer cushions for the barbells? We asked to borrow in like usual and was told a regional manager threw away all of them so they no longer have them to hand out, the staff apologized it’s not their fault but this sucks because those cushions add support for those who regularly do squats and hip thrust workouts on the smith machines. Now I have to go out buy my own cushion, bring a bag and buy a lock to put it away…very inconvenient.

Honestly the two ladies treated me like I’m a fool, before I went there I called them to ask if they do day pass and they said yes on the phone and it’s free if it’s your first time . I drove 45 mins to get to the Pf and suddenly they telling me me it’s 20 us and I then told them that I did called be4 I came here here and they were making as if I’m lying ,, honestly I was damn hurt been treated this way by my fellow black people just because I don’t talk like them ,, yes I do have accent cause I never grew up here for Christ sake … this happens just now and as I’m typing this im disappointed by my fellow black people .. change for better man ,, I ain’t no dummy and just you know I had the money but I said to myself I deserve better rather I go to a different Pf perhaps in a white community I will be treated better

No overnight TRUCK PARKING they are unfriendly to TRUCKS Owner will call you and have you move your truck. Even though they have the world of parking space they don’t allow truck parking.

I honestly don’t have any complaints about this location. It’s always clean, equipment is in good shape. Like any other gym you have to learn the low traffic times and high traffic times that’s not the gym staffs fault. I feel like the employees change every month but they seem to be nice/professional for the most part, other than that I have no complaints. I like that the crowd diversity is shifting and you now see a little bit of everybody in there of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.

I'll be honest: I didn't have a high opinion on Planet Fitness based on those I've been to in the past, but this location alone has really opened my mind to what a Planet Fitness could be.

We came in from out of town and William got us set up to workout while we're here, and this location is really impressive. It is spacious, clean, and has a very strong range of equipment and much more than other Planet Fitnesses I've been to.

While you still won't find a normal barbell or squat rack, this location had 6 smith machines (5 more than other locations I've been to), a ton of benches and dumbbells up to 75 lbs, a wide range of machines, and a very strong functional fitness area with mats, more dumbbells, power towers, cables, pull-up areas, and more.

We had a great workout and definitely would come back in the future. I'll also consider other planet fitnesses when traveling.

Planet Fitness Greenbriar has extremely helpful staff to a completely wheelchair bound person, a FABULOUS personal trainer, friendly fellow gym patrons, windows on every main gym wall, a wellness pod and super hot water in the handicapped shower. LOVE IT!!! Regaining 100% leg function is my goal, currently at 85%, up from 14% post strokes and this is the BEST place to do it.

This locations was closed to fix the ac and this was updated online. However today the app currently shows that the location is open. I called twice before going and there was no message or automated messaged advising the location is closed. I pull up and there is no longer a sign on the door saying the location is closed yet the doors were locked. I value my time and there are many option for informing your patrons of the closure not limited to the website and a sign on the door.

The workers are incompetent. They lock down and turn off machines for “cleaning” during the busiest times of the day. And if you find a machine that they aren’t “cleaning” they ask you to move to a different area so they can clean. The staff isn’t friendly or helpful. Not attentive at all. This review is not about the staff. The staff at this location have been excellent and kind upon every visit.

The issue is with the members misusing the handicap parking spaces. As a disabled person, I struggle to reach my vehicle after my workout. Three times this week, I was unable to access the designated handicapped parking spaces due to it being filled by cars without handicap decals. How can this be regulated to properly assist disabled guests?
