I canceled my membership five months ago and they continued to charge me on accident. When I went in to talk about getting my money refunded, the employees at the front desk told me to email the manager, who hasn’t answered the multiple emails I’ve sent him over two months ago, and has yet to respond or help with any of the refund process.

Been going to this PF for about a year and a half. Usually a good place but I recently noticed a broken machine….for the second time. I’ve pointed it out to the staff both times. The first time they slapped an Out of Order sign on it for a few weeks and then removed it (implying it was fixed I’d assume…) That was maybe a few months ago. Today I go to use the same machine again after switching my routine up again. Turns out the issue is not resolved. Could the machine have been fixed and then broken again? Perhaps. Is that likely? No. It is now 10:12 am Saturday morning(September 13th). I told the staff that was present, they pretty much looked at me like I was crazy, and did nothing as if I were making a joke or something. This time they didn’t even bother to pretend to leave the “Out of Order” sign on the machine until I left the gym, just waited till I walked away. Not the most professional. Makes me really question how seriously this gym takes the safety of it’s members and maintenance of it’s equipment. If this is any indication, it might be time for me to look elsewhere. I’d prefer a staff that at least PRETENDED to care about my safety by doing the bare minimum and having safe equipment.

I really liked this location...until recently. Unfortunately, my wallet was stolen out of my purse at this PF location in the middle of the afternoon on 7/26 between 11:30 and 1:30pm. It was stolen from one of the lockers out in the main room, someone clipped my little travel lock and stole my wallet that was inside my purse. I reported it to staff, but nothing ever came of it, not even a follow up call. I guess management doesn't care that they have a thief on the premises. Feels like it would be pretty easy to catch the person if they actually cared enough to do so since they have cameras all over. But I guess they don't. Fair warning... don't expect your stuff to be safe even in a secure location, even in the main room, even locked up. If someone decides to take your stuff don't expect management will do anything about it. Sounds like I'm not the only one this has happened to recently either, per the front desk staff.

I usually have great experiences at this Planet Fitness, but today was very disappointing. I came in just to use the tanning bed for the maximum time (9 minutes), but Keivon only allowed me 4 minutes and refused to let me use the full time. On top of that, his attitude was rude and unpleasant, which really caught me off guard since the staff here are normally friendly and professional. Definitely not the kind of customer service I expect from Planet Fitness.

I hope many people read this! This PF branch is one of the best in the area. The worst thing is the people who go without showering, smelling bad, having no sense of smell, or being unaffected by their own bad smell. The bathrooms smell horrible, because they leave them that way. The people who work here do their best, but the almost-beggars who come in don't care. With all due respect, that's how it is.

I want to thank the team at this Planet Fitness for showing something that’s become rare: genuine human decency. From the moment I walked in, I felt respected and welcomed. One staff member even took the time to help me with a billing issue, which meant more than they probably realized.

In a world where so many people are quick to judge, it’s refreshing to encounter staff who lead with empathy. The other planet fitnesses have judged me and made assumptions based on how I look. I’ve been coming here for three years. I would love to give this gym more than three stars although when staff changed a few months back, I noticed a shift in energy. They become extremely unfriendly and rude.
I haven’t even wanted to come in for months and even switched my gym because of how unwanted I felt here.
Complaining about me using my own gym things I spent over hundreds of dollars on.

I have to say Gabriel the GM at Planet Fitness is running a tight ship at Brookhaven. All his staff is very professional and friendly and super nice. They keep the place super clean. I go to the gym 2 times a day. LA fitness closed at Brookhaven when we moved and they are opening Studio fitness to replace it. I am planning to stay with Planet fitness here in Brookhaven. Their attention to detail on cleanliness and PM on equipment is outstanding. The price of the gym membership and what you get is first class. Great job guys.

I’ve been a health & fitness enthusiast for nearly 40 years and have been a member of gyms around the world and Planet Fitness Brookhaven is the best gym I’ve ever been to!! This is not because it’s a fairly new gym, it’s because of Angel who is always there with a smile even at 4-5am. Her dedication to keep the gym clean and tidy, make sure all the questionable people stay out, and supporting members regardless of their fitness level is hands down a 5 star rating!! When I walk in the gym and Angel is not working you can immediately tell a difference in the cleanliness (not as good) and there’s more than likely some riff raff hanging out in the locker room.

I NEVER post business reviews but this planet fitness has sworn be off forever from this fitness brand. The facility is extremely old and equipment is chronically damaged. The staff are unfriendly and rude. Always packed parking and little equipment availability. The worst part? You CANT CANCEL THE CONTRACT, cancellation can’t be done over phone text or email. You can write them A LETTER or go inperson only to be shamed! They even will go after non-authorized credit cards. Terrible business practice, class action around the corner

I would give Planet Fitness zero stars if I could. They create contracts with no end date, which are difficult to cancel and may not even be legally enforceable. Their practices feel predatory and deserve investigation. Buyer beware — the cheaper monthly fees aren’t worth the hassle!

I have been a member at this Planet Fitness on Peachtree Rd in Brookhaven since they opened this location 2 years ago! I USED to enjoy training here. Recently a new General Manager (Taneisha) started managing here. Her customer service skills are lackluster. She clearly visually does not train and has no clue about working out! I get the no judgment motto, but ringing the (lunk) alarm every 5 minutes is excessive. Not to mention, she has the employees walk around and tell customers not to limit the noise while on the machines. She needs a reprimand on how to treat customers and additionally some training on what working out entails, cause clearly she has none. I almost don't even though wanna come inside when I see her the front desk. Something needs to change asap or I will look into another gym.

Literally the worst customer service I've ever received by a manager! The representatives are nice and they try. But my issue could only be fixed by a manager. I have been to this location (my home location) several times. I was signed up by a rep here incorrectly for a membership I got from my insurance company. I've called and talked to the desk and the manager said I needed to come up there and he's there until 6 each day. I left work early and came on a Friday and he leaves at 4 they said. I called today and he was out this morning. They took a message and I never got a call back. I come up here randomly and he's here. He asked me the problem multiple times because he's distracted and barely paying me any attention yet I keep explaining it. He seems irritated I asked for help. At this point it should not be so difficult to add an account I created through my insurance company. It should be common enough and if you don't know how ask someone! I don't know if all of the PF's have this issue but I just need my account added properly so that I can visit other locations. Whatever I needed to do that I left work again to do. Yet the manager Damon stayed for 5 minutes and said he needed to leave for a meeting. Had a rep take my info and ran out. And said call at 3:30 today to make sure it's done. What?!?! Horrible service for an issue I've had for 2 months that he said can't be fixed unless I come here when he is here! This is ridiculous and of course no one knows Tiffany the district managers last name or contact info. I just need them to be aware of customer service. Simple things should not be this difficult. Update: The manager called me later today clearly upset because his employees told him I asked for a district manager. Trying to give excuses on why he's never there. I'm sorry I was not trying to hear that. He told me now I needed to come back and sign a paper to get my account fixed. After going back and forth in a full on yelling match..HE HUNG UP ON ME. This is an absolute mess!

Teneshia the manager made me feel so uncomfortable I’ve been coming here for over 5 months for my mental health to get a goood workout, tan, and hydromassage in. She was very rude when I couldn’t immediately find my eyewear to show her and said I couldn’t have my purse beside me where I worked out even though the lockers in the locker room don’t lock. This place constantly smelled like weed in the locker rooms. I went to cancel my membership IN PERSON like they advised, and they said that it was canceled. However, I got a charge 1 month later. After calling and asking about it- they said it was never canceled and I would have to come in AGAIN and cancel. My current PF is closed due to renovations, so I've been going to different PF's around Atlanta for the fun of it.

This location is by far one of the best. It's big, with plenty of equipment. Of the two times I went, I didn't see any broken machines, which is normally a problem with PF (as machines can normally be down for weeks at a time at other locations).

My experience is sans employee interaction, but they seem nice.

It's definitely worth the extra 12 minute drive, more than double my normal commute. I'll be returning to this location occasionally even after my normal PF reopens.

I hadn't planned on leaving a review for at least a month, but I HAD to drop in and rave about the stand up tanning booth. It felt like I was getting really great coverage with powerful bulbs (I suppose we'll see 😁) but it didn't get too hot bc the wind factor is out of this world! They wont let you cancel your membership over the phone or in the APP for that matter so a person like me whos been through multiple surgeries. Bed-ridden for months is getting continuously charged until i can get up there to sign a form. Its a scam. Literally every other gym will let you cancel remotely. You guys deserve to be sued. When i was actually going to the gym, none of the equipment impressed me. Everything was very bog standard. Edit: (Reply to PF) BLAH BLAH BLAH im sure its just your job but smd.. Why should i have to sign anything when im calling from MY NUMBER and using the PF APP on MY PHONE. You guys let me sign up that way but i have to come in (or certified mail) to cancel? Great gym with lots of different equipment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Juat a heads up that in order to cancel your membership you have to go do it in person or through a physical letter which is a tad annoying. I am canceling mine for some personal reasons, and Monty did a great job at guiding me through the process. They were very kind and helpful.

Changed my 5 start review to 1 star today.

I have been as patient as possible with my main issue with this gym which is the homeless problem but today was my last straw.

As others have mentioned, homeless people bring their things inside and sit/sleep/shower etc. in the locker rooms. I have brought this up to the staff several times and they seem to not take any action towards preventing homeless people from coming into the gym in the first place. This isn’t a shelter, so im still confused why they constantly come in.

Out of all my visits to this gym, I have seen homeless people atleast 80% of them.

This is completely unacceptable, and as other people have stated, it’s unsanitary. I do sympathize for homeless people, but come on, this is a gym. There are facilities in Atlanta that will help homeless people out, and planet fitness shouldn’t be one of them. I don’t get why this is acceptable..

Not to mention I have been in the locker room changing when I’ve been approached by homeless people. It’s completely uncomfortable and I look forward to cancelling my membership with this gym.

If you prioritize sanitation like I do, this is not the gym for you.

As someone who works out here regularly, I recently noticed a male employee flirting with a woman who was trying to workout. It’s a shame women can’t work out in peace without being harassed. Other than that, I am well pleased with everything else.

Great prices. Clean! Warm and friendly staff. Plenty of equipment to go around. But I very much dislike the restroom/shower/lockerroom area which is way too small. There are changing stalls next to bathroom stalls and people sit around in all of them just looking at their phones.

Same layout as other PF except this one is huge. They keep it very clean. Large enough that you are not tripping over each other. Great variety of equipment. Has a nice massage room away from the gym so that's nice. Tootsies rolls on deck also

Out of all of the Planet Fitness locations I have been to, this is the best one. It’s spacious and clean. Even when it’s crowded, it doesn’t seem overly crowded because it’s so big.

I’ve been going here for a few months it’s a good gym! i just thought Sonjay needs some recognition for being so sweet and helpful. there were some problems with the tanning bed (not her fault of course) and she was so patient and kind. need more people like this!!💗

I've had memberships to many gyms over the years - LA, Lifetime, YMCA, Anytime Fitness, etc. All gyms have their pros and cons, but let me tell you why this Planet Fitness is my favorite of all.

First and foremost, the price is very low, which takes away the guilt of having a gym membership and not using it sometimes. When the weather is nice, I prefer to exercise outdoors, so during certain months, I barely use the gym, but it's not a source of conflict in my mind because I'm barely spending anything on the membership.

Second, the whole atmosphere at PF is the right place for me. Spacious, new, clean, friendly, and not full of gym-bros - those are the things most important to me in a gym.

Lastly, the reason why I like this particular Planet Fitness is because the ceiling fans are incredible! The air circulation in this building is like no gym I've ever been in. A cool breeze on your face while working out is the best!

I really love the new facility in Brookhaven. It's one of their largest gyms, it's always clean, the staff is helpful and friendly & the tanning beds are all new and work great. They also have a red light bed which I have not seen at any of their other locations. Not to mention you can't beat the cost. Hands down, I highly recommend Planet Fitness, especially this location over other neighboring gyms.

The newness of this building has warn off. The place is busier than it used to be and there is always a machine or two not working. These inconveniences will not stop you from getting in your full workout.

They have plenty of machines and everything is relatively clean. There is always locker space. This venue pretty open at all times except the weekends. I would prefer a place open 24 hours during the weekends but this place closes at 8PM on the weekend.

The massage chairs are nice and I like all the TVs that allow me to stay entertained. I wish we could change the channels.

It's a nice gym. Luckily I haven't heard the lunk alarm in this one yet so it's pretty chill. People are nice and respectful. It's nice during the day as there is less crowd at night and it feels a bit overwhelming and tedious. All the equipment is well maintained but adding some more would be nicer since most of the gym is filled with cardio machines.

It's a beautiful gym. Lots of space, tons of machines. MY only negative is that I wish the front desk was more attentive. They're often on their phones and seldom greet people when they come in. Customer service definitely needs improvement.

I love this planet fitness. It's huge and clean as compared to other planet fitness locations. The staff is variable in terms of helpfulness, but no one has been rude. Johnny has particularly been very helpful and friendly. He is almost always cleaning something when I come in the early morning hours.

My tour was administered by a very uninterested and unprepared guy. He literally was almost incoherent and just referred me to the app as he couldn’t answer simple questions . Needless to say once I found out you can only join with your banking routing number and account information I left . WARNING : not the best idea to give out your personal banking info to an app in perpetuity but obviously people do ,,,,,,,,,What a complete joke !

This is a fantastic facility. Best Planet Fitness I have been to. Extremely clean and well laid out. Staff is super nice and helpful…especially Jessica. And they don’t overcharge for a bottle of water like mane gyms. Just $1.
