I've been going to this gym for a year, and it has never let me down. Planet fitness always gets flak for being a bad gym for progression, but that is entirely untrue. I've made so much progress at this gym and I am still continuing that progress to this day. The staff are very friendly and always cheery, which creates an uplifting environment. Their judgment free culture stands true, and is embraced by their members. Never once have I felt judged here, the community here is open and helpful for anyone no matter where they are in their fitness journey or what they strive to achieve here. This is a great gym and I really recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap way to achieve their fitness goals.

I have had a paid membership to this gym for over 2 years now & the employees have been letting me it to work out for about as long as I’ve been a member. The other day I was stopped and denied access because the account I am using is my mothers. My mother does not & has not gone to the gym in over a year now, it has been me & like I said, I was being let it until now. Cassandra, the employee who stopped me told me I cannot come in under my mom’s account for legal reasons & the ONLY options I got from Cassandra were 1. Create my own membership, 2. $20 day pass, or 3. Leave. And she was not very kind about it.
While I understand this is a rule that I wasn’t following I was of course I was a little taken aback because I had BEEN getting let. Anyone would be a bit let down.

I left and went to another location where the day pass has always been $5 not $20. I told them about what happened at the Buford location & about how I go use my moms account but I’m the only person that goes to the gym and guess what? They apologized for how I was treated & very simply offered me the option of having my mom come in and give consent to change my moms info to mine so I would be able to go in & work out. I was so relieved but also frustrated & confused at WHY Cassandra did not offer to do that for me… And what I found out next just pissed me off.

The kind young lady at the other gym location told me that that same night, there were new restrictions put on my membership account saying I’m “not a member” & not to let me in… (written by Cassandra) & the other thing CASSANDRA wrote was that when she did not let me enter she CLAIMED to have offered to change my moms info to mine. Cassandra did not do that. Cassandra told me to make my own membership or leave (basically). Cassandra LIED. Seems like she did not want me to enter at all or she wanted a new member sign up to make her look good at her job. I don’t know. But being a paying member & then having someone that’s supposed to offer help/solutions LIE about how they treated you absolutely angered me & rubbed me the wrong way.

So yes, I may have been “lying” by coming in to the gym on my moms paid membership, thanks to the much more helpful employee at the other location I know how to fix that now. But Cassandra, you’re a liar too. Do Better.

Open late on a Sunday A+! I was not the only one that agreed since gym was pretty full even at 8pm when I left. Clean facility, VERY big! Never had to wait for any equipment. Asked Daniel where he suggested I parked and he said in back likely best bet as it was for my 18 wheeler. Locker room, bathrooms, showers, floor and machines clean! Barbie(Brooklyn) walked the floor and made sure everything was tidy. Her smile was grand. Daniel was very fit and a motivation to work out. Upon leaving we had a chat about trucks and engines like kids with sports cars. Was very genuine as he is knowledgeable about the topic. Keep up the great work PF Buford!

The staff at the Buford location are some of the nicest staff members I’ve came across in my health journey. They’re always tidying up and the equipment is well maintained. If I could give 0 stars I would. Very displeased with the encounter I had this morning. The 2 men working the 3 am shift were rude, unprofessional, and insulting. I signed up yesterday and wish I hadn’t. They were no help with the questions I had asked and talked to me like I was born yesterday. Not to mention the man working the front desk was to busy flirting with another member to knowledge me. I do not recommend this gym.

The need to replace thee bulbs in the the tanning beds , i believe there are 5 total & I don’t even get a tan line unless I go 5 visits , last year they were great , I was really dark with 10 visits, now it’s just a waste of time , There red light bed was Great .

Not bad for how cheap it is but could really use some signs for time limits on machines as some people will hog a machine for close to an hour when its the only one in the gym, its my 2nd leg day in a row I can't use the leg press at all becauseit is hogged almost the full time I am at the gym by a single individualwhich makes it hard to train here; they need at least 1 more plate loaded leg press & probably needs a sign saying no PDA unfortunately I have literally seen a couple making out on the floor here.

The Planet Fitness Buford is so good even having a Planet Fitness down the street from my home I prefer this location better. The one by my home in Lawrenceville is not the best. I had $200 stolen from my bag there. The one in Buford has always been an amazing experience. I’ve been coming here for a while, and it is easily my favorite PF location! There’s plenty of floor space, plenty of machines, it’s normally very clean, and the staff is always pretty friendly. Only complaint is that the water doesn’t work a lot of the time, but they’re good about letting members know and fixing the issue fairly quickly.

This is my home gym, and the women's showers have stopped getting hot-- not sure if you need a different water heater, a bigger one or something. Been coming here for the past month - they really do a good job keeping this place clean. The folks at the front desk always greet you with a warm smile, and very often I saw them wiping down the equipment, one at a time.

Today I brought my family member with me, who is from out of the country and can't really speak English - they were very friendly and helpful to her when she wanted to use the hydro-massage.

While not the biggest of locations, this Planet Fitness location offers nice amenities. There are a large variety of Life Fitness equipment from the steps, treadmills and the rowing machines. Speaking of which, the rowing machines have a cellphone clip allowing you to attach your cell phone above the LED screen. You can also control what appears on the screen via buttons located on the rowing handle while exercising. The locker rooms are clean and fine as are the black card special areas. Overall a good place to work out.
