A really nice gym. Great friendly staff. When I've had a concern or needed assistance, they are always very helpful and pleasant. Once even had a young woman use bolt cutters to get my broken lock off the locker!
They put in new equipment this year. Everything is kept keep and nice.
The locker room, showers and bathroom are always very well stocked and clean.

Interpersonal communications among staff and members is superb. The disconnect occurs at the corporate level, as evidenced by my lack of knowing that my local PF had been open over a full month before I personally performed my due diligence to learn that it was, in fact, open. That is not excusable from a corporate perspective, let alone that I am also a PF stock holder. PF Emails only invited me to join in an 'in-home' workout. Not gonna happen. I want the PF experience. We move forward together for a better future.

I already left a review, but for some reason, it was removed. Staff is very rude. Questions were being asked about the dress code and other gym polices but the employees were getting upset and started getting a bad attitude about having to answer questions. The air conditioner at this location is not working, and they just have a fan in the doorway for cooling, but the fan is tripping hazard where it's sitting.

Came here to visit my friend for a weekend. The equipment is good and it’s a good safe environment. However, the young girl with glasses in the morning with curly hair is not very knowledgeable or nice. Doesn’t greet folks and provides false information. I am an OTR truck driver. I use Planet Fitness to stay healthy and to get a shower as I travel across the country. I have been to many PF locations across 20 states, and the Planet Fitness in Cartersville, Georgia is one of my favorites. The staff are very friendly. The facilities are always clean, and there is excellent shower pressure. There is an abundance of machines, even when it is very busy. The equipment here is well maintained very rarely is a machine out of service. Of all of the Planet Fitness locations that I have been to, the Cartersville location always has the latest and greatest workout equipment, and they have the best massage chairs in the Black Card Spa.

Reliable, dependable franchise option with the Black Card membership - I know what I'm getting generally speaking if I go into any Planet Fitness! A good variety of machine / dumbbell / barbell and "miscellaneous" workout resources; clean showers/changing rooms; and the Black Card exclusives, like massage chairs, etc. I regularly work out at 2 locations with different workout partners, and occasionally utilize other ones for personal solo workout or walking the treads with my wife. The girl on overnight staff that writes and posts the Bible verses is very rude and judgmental. Surprisingly the theme of Planet Fitness is “judgment free zone”.
As a non-Christian I find this very unprofessional and distasteful. I don’t force my religion on anyone when I’m at the gym but this planet fitness seems to want to do that.

The staff is friendly and helps with any situation. One time my air pod fell into a weight machine. A staff member got her tools, took off essential parts and found my pod.

Here we go again the manager fixed the first issue and paid for three months since I was over paying for two years not knowing it wasn’t 24/7 anymore. Mark the time ide say it was five minutes before five pm on oct 16. I came in knowing I had to buy the goggles for laying and the bigger new chick started shaking her head when I asked for the key chain goggles. The younger chick with glasses (Emma)used to be so friendly and now she apparently hates her job… maybe yall should actually pay these people for the hard work they do…. My 17 year old son purchased a Black Card membership so he and his girlfriend could work out together. The first time they went, there were no problems. The second time, they were told his girlfriend couldn’t be his guest. She’s 16 and her parents would have been happy to sign a waiver. The online information contradicts itself and of course you don’t get a copy of the actual contract until they’ve already taken your money. There was no offer of a refund or even an apology for the lack of communication. We’ve been a member of other locations but this one seems to be very poorly ran.

I used to work closer to the Marietta location so that was my home gym. When I changed jobs, I made cartersville PF my "home" gym and I have had nothing but great experiences there. Staff is friendly, plenty of equipment so that you don't have to wait to use the machines and it is always clean. As a woman, I like being left alone while I work out and everyone else there seems to feel the same. It's a very homey feeling.

I have been going to this Planet Fitness for nearly five years.
A few years ago all the cardio was replaced with Matrix equipment.
August 2024 all of the weight equipment was replaced with all new equipment from Matrix and also added several pieces from Life Fitness. There is no waited space!

Well I came in around 6:15 first time at this location was doing some shopping in the area just thought I'd stop in and tan never used the computer system before there was two ladies behind the desk one with long blonde hair the other was dark curly hair the blonde ask what I was wanting to do I said tan the curly dark hair lady took over and said stand up or lay down I said lay down she said to hit the next available time and scan in so I did nothing happen so I told her and she rolled her eyes walked around the counter by this time I was very mad why would you roll your eyes because you have to do your job so I said did you just roll your eyes at me she just started trying to check me in so I asked again still nothing from her so I let her know what I thought about her and left this place is a joke when you have someone like her greeting your customers one day she's going to do that to the wrong person and it will not end has nicely as I ended it she should not even be working in the public with an attitude like I will not ever be back but I will be letting everyone how poorly this place is ran

I have really enjoyed joining this gym! A lot bigger than I thought it would be and the hours are pretty good! It's not fully 24/7 as advertised but it's close.

I would say they could do the following to make it truly 5 star:

The TV channels are pretty ridiculous. Idk what kind of roku TV package they are working with but theirs only 5 random HGTV channels to choose from. Other Planet Fitnesses I go to have the whole package.
I also notice that the same stuff that's broken from when I first got there is still broken 3 months later, so they definitely seem slow to fix things

The staff here are usually attentive and check folks in. Im always out before 9pm due to work I've been to other PF where people literally walk in off the street. I really like Planet Fitness overall and I use a handful of locations depending on my schedule. I really wish the leg extension machines and the leg curl machines were updated. They are warped and the leg pads aren't straight which results in having to use your left leg first and most and then your right leg isn't getting an equal workout. I had to totally change my routine because my left quad is becoming much larger than my right one. LOL. But over all this is a good location. Just wish there was some more variety and updates with machines. Would love to see more than just the one Pecfly that everyone fights over, a donky calf raise or literally ANY calf machine other than whatever the one they have is would be nice.

Good atmosphere but if you have the "black" membership you have to show them your goggles everytime you want to tan, they expect you to clean your own bed though. Also, if you tan at a certain time you have to wait 24 hours to tan again. If I tan at 6 today and try to tan at 5 tomorrow I am not allowed. There is almost always broken equipment, it is no longer open 24/7, and the only reason I keep my membership is because I love the facilities I use when I travel (often) for work. I never experience these issues at the other facilities, only Cartersville.

I have been a black card member at Planet Fitness for 6 months now. They never disappoint. The staff remember your name and face. If you have any questions, they are quick to answer to the best of their knowledge. If they dont know the answer, they will ask or look it up so the information is accurate. I visit the place in Cartersville daily. They clean very often, sweeping and disinfecting as well. The showers are great, too! I highly recommend them. They don't have a Jacob's latter. I love it if they were to have one.

First time here. This place has definitely been here a while. Some of the machines have actual rust on them. It's very dusty, you can tell as seen in the picture. This is around most machines I used. Planet Fitness is great. I am a black card member and go to other locations. This location seems to have issues and always has. The experience is typical unless you have to deal with the staff. For some reason, they always run into problems no other location has. It can add up to 15-30 minutes, and by the end of it, you won't want to work out.

My suggestion is if you are not getting a black card membership that allows you to visit all the locations, get a membership at a different location.
