I am writing to express my observations and concerns regarding the recent changes in the gym layout. I am unsure why the 30-minute workout room has been emptied and its equipment moved to the center of the gym. This change has resulted in two areas being almost empty and a reduction of approximately half the machines.

Previously, there were often four machines available for a particular exercise, which allowed multiple members to complete their workouts more efficiently. Currently, it seems fewer machines are available, and I am concerned that workout times might increase for everyone, even though not everyone was waiting for a machine previously.

Perhaps gym usage will decrease during the summer months, which might alleviate some of these concerns about longer workout times.

On a positive note, I appreciate that the water fountain has been fixed and that some of the machines have been rebuilt with newer equipment.

I finally cancelled my membership. Every machine I attempted to use today was broken. I have also witnessed staff members inappropriately touching each other. This happened the same day I was sent an email about rating my experience. I happened to leave an honest review at that point about the nice staff members and quality of the gym, while also mentioning the inappropriate behavior I witnessed. Nothing I said was rude, but like previously mentioned, just an honest review. Then I was informed by a staff member that the notes on my profile had “hug police” added to them. After speaking to the manager, I thought all was well, though I was extremely angry and felt beyond disrespected. First of all, why was it anyone’s business what I said? Should that not have been anonymous? Now the individuals who work there know my personal information and obviously have some vendetta against me. This is beyond unprofessional. My final straw was today when I went to workout (despite having to deal with all of this), and every machine I went to use was broken! Then above all of this, I was getting off the treadmill and instead of it gradually going down like normal since I walk at an incline, it slammed against the ground. I could have gotten hurt and I’m sure someone else will get hurt. Still, I let this go and went on my merry way until I realized my annual fee was coming up. I asked the individual at the desk if it would come out September 1st and he rolled his eyes and basically told me that it depended on when I signed up. I told him that it had been over a year, and he didn’t bother to look at my account or anything. I went straight to crunch at this point and signed up there. I cancelled my membership online and called this location to make sure that I would no longer be charged. Luckily this person, who’s name was John, looked at my account and guaranteed that it was cancelled. I asked him about the annual fee and luckily he told me that it was coming out tomorrow. Thanks John for doing that simple task that the other person was unwilling to do even though it’s literally their job… I really hope this review inspires anyone who reads it not to go to this planet fitness. There are definitely a couple of nice people who work there like the amazing girl who asked why my account said “hug police”, but other than that this place is horrendous.

Was sent to this PF by the other PF in town where black card services are out once AGAIN as the only solution they had to offer. Surprise surprise.. theirs are down here now too; said the repair guy came to the wrong location and broke theirs… I keep trying to reach out to “member services” and no contact. Planet Fitness recently added machines but took away a ton of them. The machines they added are not enough. They have one leg extension for the entire gym! They have tons of wasted space an entire room with nothing in it but mats to stretch. They took away so many mirrors that you can't even watch your form. This gym could be so much more than it is. We live in Columbus GA and have a ton of new gyms coming in so unfortunately if Plant Fitness doesn't get it together i think it will go under.

The customer service isn't that great; I had foot surgery and had finally been cleared to go back to the gym for upper body; the bathroom floors had been mopped and were soaked, I along with other members in the bathroom said we had almost fallen since it was so wet; I have member that has been harassing me; newer management is aware of it and does nothing;

I've been a member of this club for about eight years. Last week they rearranged it and took a bunch of the bench press out and a 30 minute room and I absolutely hate it. Tonight I had about five other guys with me at the bench press all saying if it stays like this, we will be leaving. Even when they had double the amount of bench in there you were still having to wait. Tonight it took me 30 minutes just to get my spot on the bench and you can't walk away because somebody else will get it. This was stupid stupid stupid guys. And I know people that only came here for the 30 minute room. What are you doing?

Been using the gym for years. Staff were friendly and always kind. Enjoyed working out with each trainer that was there over the years. Recently you hired a new assistant manager and she is unnecessarily rude and definitely lacks people skills. I usually don’t take the time to leave reviews but the experience I’ve had over the couple of weeks encourages me to do so. I would honestly go to the other gym in Columbus if it was closer to my home. While walking through the door I heard her boasting about taking away a customer’s privilege to use the gym. It’s just unprofessional and depreciates the value of the gym I’ve enjoyed over the years. I am aware that some staff members have the same concerns and I hope that things will improve over time.

I pay my $25 monthly without fail. I do my workout & then I log in to use the hydro massage chair before going home. Now, the sessions are only 10 minutes at a time. The “alleged” assistant manager lacks people skills & common sense. Plus she has a poor attitude. When asked why she started the hydro massage chair before I say down, she comes back around the corner with her head cocked to the side stating “I wasn’t trying to invade personal space”. But it’s COMMON SENSE (and every other employee but her lets the patron press the start button) but she presses start and then walks off. She refused to give the general manager’s name or the manager above her name as well as refused to give her name. Then told me to get out when I tried to take her picture so I could make sure the right person was listed on the complaint.

My wife and I recently made the decision to invest in our health by joining a local gym. We had several options to choose from and ended up at Planet Fitness on Milgen Road. The low cost, month-to-month membership, gym amenities, and proximity to our home were features we really liked. However, we soon discovered that the Plant Fitness organization includes a woke agenda in their business policy. Openly promoting Pride month and supporting transgender use of locker room facilities was not something I expected from a gym.

Regardless of one's personal values and beliefs, there is no place for this at an exercise facility. As much as my wife and I enjoyed the gym, we cancelled our membership and moved to another local gym that focuses on personal health and wellbeing and leaves identity politics out of their business model. Sometimes the only vote we have is with our wallet, and I refuse to compromise my personal values regardless of how good a deal may seem. If you are currently a PF member, I encourage you to do your homework on this and evaluate if their business policies align with your personal values.

The manager is very rude to the costumers

This employee/manager doesn't even work out, he doesn't know what it's like to lift/exercise until failure with heavy weights. I squat 8 plates of 45lbs. I always do my pr and it's normal for people to make reasonable loud noises. This person doesn't understand what it's like to work out with heavy weights, it's been 3 times that they try to intimidate and interrupt my work outs. I have 3 witnesses that agree with me about this manager who doesn't know anything about gym. I would like to get in contact with the boss by phone or email so he is aware how the manager is running the gym (running it the wrong way). A lot of people at the gym tell me I am one of the only ones who lift heavy and doing it correctly, and the manager still has the courage to send other employees to interrupt my exercises. When I signed up to planet fitness I showed a video of me lifting to the employees to ask about the noise if it would be a problem and they said it's not but they interrupt my exercises almost everyday. I hope I can speak to the boss please. Thank you if you are reading this comment.

The Planet Fitness club on Milgen Road in Columbus, GA refuses to play Fox News. They play other news outlets, CNN, MSNBC, and various other stations, they have about 20 television screens, and they refuse to put Fox News on one of them. I also cannot connect to my Fox News app when I’m in the gym using their Internet. This seems awfully fishy to me why this gym is trying to suppress my viewing of Fox News. This is unfair. It is a shame when you can’t even go to the gym without being restricted on what you want to watch or view on your phone.

I started coming here because it was close to my clients house. But after the renovations, oh my goodness. It's my favorite gym. It's quieter because of the new treadmills. It smells like new car and i am here for it! I LOVE the new spacious layout. I have more room and helps me to not feel crowded or squished beside someone. It's easy to navigate through. And plus, it's nice to use new equipment. My only complaint is the giant TVs. It's such a distraction. I know people like that, but i don't. I like to stay focused. I found wearing a hat helps, but i don't always want to do that. So it's a fight to keep my eyes forward or down. I really hate that they're all across in front of the treadmills. But i guess i just gotta deal with it cause I'm pretty sure they're not going anywhere. Late at night, sometimes they're off. And it's great! Besides that, i love coming here.

I'm continuously being charged for something I've been trying to cancel since Feb. 9th. I followed all of the required directions and still my account is being charged as if the balance has never been paid. I even have documentation that I cancelled my account and YET it still remains active.

Best gym I've been a member at! I've worked out at Max Fitness, Gods of Iron, the Y, and CSU. Now I will say, some of those other places have some better equipment, such as a real bench presses and squat racks (not smith machines like here) and higher dumbbell weights. Therefore, equipment wise I would give them a 4 star, but the reason I'm giving a 5 star is due to the staff. They are all incredible and can't be beat! Judy, Jeremy, Matt, and Abby are the best! They're very personable, kind, helpful, and friendly all the time! They treat you like a VIP. You can't beat those staff members! They're training some new people now as well, who are also great! On top of that, this gym/facility is well kept! It's so clean all the time, especially compared to those others. They also have many great perks like the massage chairs, lounges, and beds! I haven't tried the tanning, but that's an option as well. For price you just can't beat it!

I think management and staff members need to stop a lot of the clients from standing around holding up the exercise equipment. Because those groups of people are conversating about things that is irrelevant to working out because some of us are on a schedule and we need to get a quick workout in but we can't because of all of the standing around holding up the machines and super setting and I also think management need to let those people know that their membership is not as important as the next client.. but at time the atmosphere can be very smooth and diverse 🙂 and plus the workout benches are sour and a little bit outdated
