I usually go to covington location which the staff and gym are stellar, but I'm forced to come to Conyers during holidays. The staff are your typical conyers crew, they WILL ALWAYS have an attitude when you ask them something. I have rarely had an interaction w various staff through the years, here, that didnt have an attitude. The manager has an attitude, argues with you, for example, when you ask why you have half the treadmills locked down to "mop" when there's a WHOLE staff standing around at the front desk. A lot of people appreciate space and not working out on top of one another, so having the treadmill at this number down during a peak time isn't ideal planning AND we dont appreciate being forced to inhale cleaning chemicals while working out. People still play their music on their phones. Swearing... again. Typical conyers crew all round. A big reason why I left la fitness. The upgrade in many ways is nice, however, both locations lost half of their treadmills. Both locations moved treadmills back a row so you lose the nice breeze of air flow too when on the treadmills you had before. They dont have all the necessary hand equipment for the cable machines, for example the rope. The upgrade is nice at both locations, but covington staff are always nice, especially if you have legitimate questions.

I actually love this gym, however I did have 1 problem I would like to address. When I first started working out at the gym, I was wearing shoes. However, i started to see others wear crocs and I insisted I should to. After wearing crocs for a good amount of time, I visited the gym on a Friday night and before I could check in, the associate told me I couldn’t wear crocs to work out. My gym partner immediately asked why wasn’t this said to her earlier in the week when seen by the same associate wearing crocs and the associate immediately lied saying she hasn’t seen my workout partner wearing crocs. We then left the gym and lost a workout day due to us not having any extra pair of shoes on hand. I went to workout tonight and seen multiple people wearing crocs and the same associate didn’t mention anything to them and she walked right pass them. This definitely won’t stop me from coming to the gym, but I would love equal opportunity or for it to be known to everyone crocs aren’t acceptable. Thanks

I’m ready to cancel my membership..The staff acted like a collection agency regarding my secondary expired payment…I have been paying for years whether I was coming or not. They actually mentioned me going to a different gym if I couldn’t supply a secondary form of payment. mind you I don’t owe them anything…I was not handled with care at all….I hope crunch comes to the area.

I want to state the new layout is inconvenient, if a particular machine is already in use you have to walk around to find the second instead of them being in the same area.

I originally started a plan with Planet Fitness last summer and enjoyed the benefits and experience, (some gyms were definitely better in cleanliness than others)…. But overall it was a great experience. Here recently I’ve been in the process of moving to an entirely different state, and of course won’t be able to go to the gym anymore making the membership I have with Planet Fitness pointless to even have. Yet I’ve been ran through the wringer and then some over canceling the membership I started with them, $25.09 and then randomly another charge that’s over $40!!! What membership could I have possibly signed up for that would give Planet Fitness any reasons to over charge my account more than ONE TIME. My bank has tried blocking them from taking money from me because they will continually keep pulling money from my account back to back they even locked my card because of how many times they kept trying to charge me… I do not have money to waste and the difficulty with cancellation of my membership shouldn’t make me feel like I have to jump through hoops to do so.

First want to start by saying excellent staff, always friendly and supportive! However the planet fitness on 1-38 in conyers has gotten some new equipment and usually that is a great thing for a gym however this new equipment is not short people friendly. I’m 5’1 and I couldn’t do the leg compression machine, the new machine wouldn’t let me scoot it forward or backwards meaning my little legs couldn’t reach the pads to use the machine. After that I went about my workout until I got to the smith machine where the bench wouldn’t fit between the machine for me to do my hip thrusts, so I was unable to do my hip thrusts. As a short person I will not be returning and I warn all other short people.

We’ve been loyal Planet Fitness members for quite some time now, but this recent experience at the Conyers, GA location was disappointing.

After paying our usual $25.05 membership fee on July 3, we discovered an unauthorized second charge attempt of $25.06 on July 25 — with no notice or explanation.

We called and spoke to a team member named Jazzy, who said it was a “corporate tax adjustment,” and that the manager Lawrence had approved a free month on our account. Lawrence wasn’t available and we still haven’t heard anything back.

This isn’t about a penny — it’s about trust. If we hadn’t checked our statement, we wouldn’t have known. How many other members are being overcharged without even realizing it? Very disappointed in the lack of transparency and accountability here.

If I could have given zero stars, then I would give zero stars to the Planet Fitness in Conyers, Georgia. I was a member at that location for one year. I was also a member of the PF in Florida where I just exercise and left when I felt like, however my situation has changed in Georgia and I became homeless after constant harassments and losing five nurse jobs here within two years. I was grateful that I found a place to be able to maintain my hygiene as well as getting a good exercise in to reduce stress. However, I felt as if I was judged and disrespected based on my situation. I do not make complaints on a business for no reason however the management and staff at this Planet Fitness were a disappointment on a reported situation. A male staff walked in on me in the Ladies locker room while I was naked in the shower, He saw that I saw him. I was waiting for him to exit because I am naked in the shower. He decided to ignore me, despite me trying to get his attention to asked him to step out for a few, until I am fully dressed. I had a meeting with the person who identified himself as the district manager whom had one reaction in person, as if he agreed with me and another over the phone. The male staff was unapologetic, arrogant, disrespectful, dismissive, and did not care that his thoughtless actions caused a paying female member to feel embarrassed, degraded, disregarded, and angry. In return, Planet Fitness opted to cover their actions by calling the police on me, lied to the police and said they ask me to leave, no prior conversations were had before the arrival of the police nor did I do anything or caused any disturbances for the police to be called. I went to the gym the night of 6/5th asked for a 20 min massage, changed into my gym clothes, proceeded to rest my feet before my exercise routine, as they were swollen and painful from doing an unusually excessive amounts of walking. I also mentioned to the district manager in an earlier meeting that I may have to rest my feet sometimes I am now having issues with transportation. I do not live at the gym. I understand it is a business. I exercise, shower, and leave. I may request a chair massage most times. My belongings from the locker were placed in a trash bag and I was thrown out of the gym in the middle of the night like trash. I have never disrespected any staff nor a member. I hardly speak. I exercise and mind my business. Yet, there are other members walking around performing sniff tests as if they are expecting me to be odorous because of being homeless or whatever stupid judgements they may be insinuating. I may be homeless but stupid, I am not. I am also a black female. I have had other concerns that I brought to the attention of the manager about the staff not properly cleaning the toilets. Whenever there is an issue there are more Caucasian staff coverage and then they are not seeing again. Now, Planet Fitness is getting a remodel, so I am thinking I was used because of my situation, blamed for things I had nothing to do with and now they have their remodel. While waiting for the district manager to do his so called investigation, my gym membership was cancelled by Planet Fitness. After the situation, I would be sitting at a business close by that location and multiple male would utter in passing " man, nobody don't want that hoe, or nobody don't want her". As if they were trying to convey a message. So, it may or may not apply to me. I don't concerns myself with nonsense but based on how I was treated at the gym and the cover up, that attitude by the staff or other members would not be so far-fetched. That is how Planet Fitness treat a black female paying member who was also a black card member. Repulsively astonishing!

I just started going to Planet Fitness a couple months ago. I used to be a member of LA fitness. The facility is very clean. The equipment is fairly new which I love. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have this hydraulic bed that I can not stay out of. I give them a ten out of ten. They also have massage chair that I totally recommend. I’m a full-time traveling nomad, so I use Planet Fitness primarily for showers and quick workouts on the road. I stopped into this location around 9:45 a.m., which may be one of their peak times, and found it extremely crowded. I decided to skip the workout and just shower, but unfortunately the water was cold, so I ended up leaving without using the facilities at all.

The gym and locker room were clean enough, and everything appeared in order, but the lack of hot water and the crowd made it a wasted stop for me. I didn’t interact with staff, so I can’t speak to that side of the experience.

My expectations might differ from a regular member’s, but I probably wouldn’t return to this location unless I knew it had improved.

A Fantastic Turnaround at Planet Fitness – Thanks to Mr. Sheldon!

I just want to take a moment to express my appreciation for the incredible improvements at Planet Fitness on Highway 138 in Conyers, GA. Initially, I experienced some challenges with the app, which led to a miscommunication. However, thanks to the outstanding leadership of the general manager, Mr. Sheldon, everything turned around for the better.

Mr. Sheldon went above and beyond to ensure I had a smooth and stress-free experience. He took the time to personally walk me through the process, making sure I could log in efficiently and access the gym without any issues. His patience, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help truly made a difference.

I go workout at a variety of times and I always get a consistent, warm welcome, a smile, and a general eagerness to make my experience as pleasant as possible! I’ve been to other locations during travel and can’t say the same for them. This location is special because the staff is special. They remember names, they make sure concerns are followed up and resolved, and are just fun to be around! It really makes a difference to me as a patron to be able to go to a gym where everyone is genuinely happy to see their members. The managers are always looking for ways to make the facility clean or more efficient, they are always asking members how they could do better. They also aren’t afraid to do the same tasks the staff does. Everyone works together and it’s noticeable in the cleanliness of the facility and the functionality of the machines/ bathrooms. 10 out of 10, I’ll always recommend! I've been on a road trip across America for over 2 months and hit a pfit nearly everyday.

This pfit has the cleanest bathroom/showers BY FAR. Some places are deplorable, some places are acceptable, some places are good, this was SPOTLESS, in a league of it's own. The employees were super nice and the gym floor was tidy and had everything I'm used to a pfit having.

It's a good gym, has all the usual things you'd expect from Planet Fitness. The staff is really nice. If you go up to them with a question weather it's for the machines or a question about fitness, their's most likely someone that can answer it. It also doesn't get too crowed except on the weekends. Love this location however the wesley chapel location has more machines i would like to see more machines at this location.
Edit: they updated their equipment and they are back on top!!!!!!! Love the changes.

Good equipment and even when it’s crowded you can definitely find something you want. Clean, most of all good equipment it’s modern smooth and not rusty or dingy, they have a good number of benches large open building
