I just left Planet Fitness, and I had such a great experience!
We received excellent help from Aujah Nae Perez, as well as Angelo Walker and T’Shambil Johnson from the morning shift. They were all very professional, very helpful, and made our visit amazing.
We will definitely be back next week to get a membership for my daughter.
Thank you for hiring positive people — their positive energy truly stands out. That’s something that can be hard to find these days, and it’s refreshing to walk into a place where employees are smiling, energetic, and genuinely happy to be at work. I joined this club two months ago, they stay taking money out of my banking account. I came in to get a refund and cancel my prescription only to have a young man tell me he did not know the process he didn't know he to print off documents and had no supervisor to help him. My payment was due on the 17th they took 49.99 plus 25.99 on the 15th and was plaining on taking more payments within 1 month. This is unacceptable. I need my money back now.

Well the bathrooms were nasty and the showers were vroke which was the reason I went to gym since the terminal I was at also had broken showers. Actually I think they were renovating a couple but the bathroom left much to be desired in cleanliness. The people at this gym seldom wiped down equipment after use atleast from what I saw. Fairly dirty compared to all the other PF I have been to. Staff seemed to care less what was going on. Love them phones....

I usually never leave reviews but this time I had to. These folks are unorganized and liars. Talked to an employee IN PERSON about closing my account with them because I don't use that gym anymore and they told me that my account will be closed. 10 months later I get a random charge on my account and I'm told my account is still active and it accumulated up to 320 dollars. I have not used this account in 10 months. I can't close the account and I'm forced to pay off the amount if I want my account closed. Talked to the district manager through email and she provided no solutions, didn't pay me my money back that they took from my account, and just gives me typical automated response and how to close my account even though I can't close the account until I pay off my balance which she knows. Will never use planet fitness again.

I am here several days a week at all hours around the clock since they are 24 hours during the week. It is very convenient, oretty clean and in order with very attentive staff. It stays oretty clean including the restroom, licker room and shower areas. Great job Planet Fitness. Applayse to the great staff as well. They are all better no matter when I visit.

Can be tough to workout here. They say no personal trainers, but there will be 3 or 4 there at a time who don’t work for planet fitness with 3-4 clients at one time so it’s difficult to work on equipment you want to.

Booked the new beginner class, woke up early and arrived on time only to be told that the instructor was still in training and the other trainer was not there. I was working out early this morning and my car along with 3 others was vandalized. My passenger side window was broken along with 3 other vehicles due to lack of parking lot security.
I called the police and was told they were not informed of the crime until I called.
I drive for Lyft and this has caused me money in wages and damage. The staff is wonderful and too busy to patrol the parking lot. I cannot trust my car in that parking lot. I've been a member of Planet fitness for years and nothing like this has ever happened. I cannot trust parking at this location therefore I must find a safer Planet fitness where the owner is vigilant in providing excellent security for members. I will not be back to the Wesley Chapel location.

I'm temporary here in Decatur. I work in Perry, GA where I attended the Planet fitness there which is very nice.
I must say Wesley Chapel Planet fitness holds a standard of excellence. Naturally, I looked for a Planet fitness near my house in Decatur. Upon my arrival I met a charismatic young man named D'Angelo.
He has excellent social skills and immediately made me feel welcome.
I usually work out very early morning. I MUST give a special commendation to your over night staff. These men are exceptional. Ken and Jimmy keep the place emaculate!
What they do late night must be commended. I have to leave this area soon but I must say that these three exceptional men provide such a wonderful experience at Planet fitness.

I can only train in the morning around 8 a.m., and it's annoying how trainers take over common areas for personalized classes with a considerable number of people. It becomes tedious to do routines, or there are groups of friends using several machines at once, so doing leg exercises becomes very complicated. And from what I've read, it happens at different times of the day. I hope this can be resolved.

This location is in a “black” area and they operate as such. Businesses in black areas never have good customer service. Something told me to go to the Planet Fitness in the “non-melanated” side of town but I just had to try this on Wesley Chapel and it was a true waste of my time. I arrived at 6:30 PM on Sunday 7/27/2025 and the doors were LOCKED. There were several people in the gym still working out. You could see the staff leaning over the checkout desk not working just lounging. I pay for my membership to be able to utilize when I please. Even if I want to workout for 15-20 minutes only that is my choice. This location is supposed to close at 7PM on Sundays. Not 6:30PM because the primarily African American staff doesn’t want to work. I am disgusted. As a fellow black person I actually would like to use the gyms closest to my home but the lack of customer service and desire not to work which results in them locking the gym doors before 7PM. Unfortunately, my phones storage is full but as I sit in this parking lot typing this review I have watched 10+ individuals walk out the gym. They were not closed but refused to allow entry to paying members because they are lazy and rude.

UPDATE: called and spoke to someone at the front counter that stated they will lock the gym doors 30-45 minutes before close based on capacity and to ensure patrons are out of the gym by 7PM. As I sit in this parking lot I watched patrons exit as late as 7:05PM. I was told because he was taking a shower he was allowed to be in there late. Which means the main doors still should’ve been open at 6:30PM so I could get my 20 minute workout in. He mentioned the crowd meter but the crowd meter was low capacity so that was a lie and he mentioned locking the doors so that everyone could be out of the gym on time at 7PM yet there were people still in the gym leaving at 7:05PM. Save yourself the time and frustration and go to a Planet Fitness in a more prominent area. I will never return to this location which is ran by hoodlums. Manager Tia needs to have her staff operate under cleaner guidelines. If your location is going to close 30-45 minutes before the closing time put that on the doors so people can choose if they want to waste their time at your location or not.

This was my 1st time in PF. I live no where near this location but went on a 1 day pass. I must say I could be biased just off the color alone being that its my fav. But seriously they offer some great equipment, ppl where in their own zone, very clean with a nice price point.

The staff was consistently walking around cleaning and checking the equipment. They were also very nice and not trying to pressure u or sale you anything. I was interacting with ppl I didn't even know were staff as it was their day off so they were in regular clothes working out and they were still helpful and nice. Laid back, great environment. I hope all PF are this way because now I may join.

Great club, very clean. I come in once in a while and really love the vibe. One thing that always sticks is the guy at the front, Jimmy Brown. He’s very lively and polite and motivates me to keep at my fitness. Planet fitness made a good choice in hiring him and should look to hire more employees like him. I’m not sure why he’s not working as a trainer because he gave me some of the best workout tips I’ve ever received. His customer service is beyond incredible and I hope the company appreciates him as much as I do as a customer.

The equipment is constantly falling apart. They've shifted their focus more toward bodybuilding and sculpting rather than cardio. There are over 30 treadmills, yet I find myself battling daily for access to one of the three bikes. It feels redundant and frustrating.

It's as if I'm expected to forget what works best for my physical needs—especially after having knee surgery—and just accept whatever’s available. I’ve been a member of this gym for years and used to love going, but now I dread it. I constantly debate whether to leave or not, and honestly, I’m starting to lean that way.

I'm extremely disappointed with the so-called “renovated” gym. I can’t understand how we went from having pairs of equipment to just one of each. I regularly have to ask people to get off their phones while I wait patiently for them to finish their reps. It’s a mess. The place is slowly turning into a superficial hangout spot instead of a functional gym.

At this point, I wouldn’t even recommend this location to an enemy.

I could not wait to get home to make this review. I arrived about 9:30 p.m. and upon entry was greeted with a very jovial "Welcome back" when I first came Herr thecub was not clean at all. But there has been an impressive change. It was clean and during my workout they were busy filling cleaning bottles, picking up trash and weight left behind, mopping the bathroom etc. Most impressive, as they walked around cleaning they were engaging guest with "are you enjoying your workout." As I was leaving they said to me did you enjoy your workout ND when I said yes they said that what we like to hear. I wish I could give this club 10 stars. I would rather drive an extra 5-10 mins to go to another planet fitness. My car was broken into last year right in the parking lot. From what I can see it hasn’t changed.

Since I am unable to reply to your reply. I have filed a police report that night. No you don’t have jurisdiction over the parking lot you can higher security for the club and be more concerned for your paying customers. Update: I have mixed reviews about the recent renovations. They took out several pieces of equipment like the ab press there only one now and all of the sit down bench press equipment is gone to. They’re slowly rolling out new equipment but slow when it comes to putting in together.

I hope the contractors get it together soon. Anyways, I just complain to my self and keep going. For some reason I really like going to this location. It’s diverse, cozy and I feel comfortable there. For, that reason I will keep my 5 ⭐️ rating.

Great location. The gym was updated 12/2024 Lockers have been moved from the workout area to individual locker rooms. New equipment and a 360 set with battle ropes, kettle bells, body balls, weighted balls etc. They have at least 100 free weights and plates so you semi heavy lifters can load up 💪🏾. There are now 2 rowing machines, more cardio equipment including bikes with virtual paths. There is tons of space for calisthenics and functional workouts (farmer carries, walking lunges etc.). There are 2 new hip thrust machines similar to the Booty Builder equipment. They have a hack squat, 6 smith machines and 6 cable machines. Lots of new equipment! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, personable and always cleaning (even washing the floors). Glad to have this in my community!

This area is not safe. My car was broken into. Items stolen. Planet Fitness employees showed no remorse. This location needs to be shut down it is not safe for customers. This has to be one of the worst planet fitness on this side of Atlanta. Cars are frequently being broken into while you workout, they’re supposed to have security but they are never present, and it takes hours for Dekalb County police to show up for a police report, and tons of homeless people in the parking lot. This location recently had some renovations done and reopened. Unfortunately, all of the equipment have about two inches of dust on them. Come on. This is a health club! Please clean , mop, dust. 😡😔 This should have been done prior to reopening!!

I have been a member at this gym for 5 years and when Tara left, things have gone down hill. I started at this gym because I used to be in body building and I have had 2 back surgeries and I work out but I CAN NOT lift weights that I would have to bend over for. I still have back issues but I have to be very careful. This gym has a bad attitude about making folks re-rack their weights especially on the 3 bench pressing benches. MOST mornings I get there all the benches has 4-8 45 weight plates left and I can not pick these up so I can't do any bench presses. COME ON NOW! The employees needs to get up and walk the room and put weights back if they have been left, I always asked Tara to re-rack them for me and she was the best, she was great about keeping the place in tip top shape. Another thing is that is is WAY TOO HOT and no air movement. You have those huge 2 fans in the center and those babies needs to be turned up, it is so HOT and this is a gym folks.. I wish there was a closer gym but there is not. Please address these issues and IF YOU SEE someone not re-racking "putting their weights back" TELL THEM TO DO SO..

I love planet fitness for the most part. My only grievance is that the machines are not consistent from club to club. The main differences between equipment are the treadmills and the ellipticals. I know it seems trivial, but that's my five cents.

Nice facility, very close to I20 making it easily accessible, staff is friendly and quick to greet.
