Please, for the love of God change all the bulbs in all the tanning beds, not just to lay down beds that have a bulb out and only changing that one, but the stand ups haven’t been changed and they don’t tan you but on the top half of your body I’ve been trying to be patient didn’t want to post anything, but it seems it’s not a priority to provide the services we pay for.

First I want to say that I NEVER leave reviews anywhere. This is just on going and something needs to change. 4 stars bc I do love the gym and I have not had any problems with this gym or the employee's until this week. The other 3 employees that i have run into are great and supper friendly. My first time meeting Cassandra on Monday, she was rude. I had no idea that I would need to call the gym to get someone to come to the front desk. In a rude tone and being very short in conversation she let me know that she's busy cleaning all night by herself. I understand that. Even though she was in the office for quiet a while as I was waiting at the desk. Tuesday I came in and asked to go to the tanning bed. She asked for eye wear for the 2nd day in a row. So I asked her if I needed to show eye wear everytime. I asked this bc she is the only one who has asked me for eye wear since I had been going to the gym and tanning EVERY TIME. Again with an attitude she says "I'm going to say this as polite as possible" grabs tanning/gym rules and slams it down on the counter and says "I'm not new. These are the rules." Wednesday I come in she's at the desk and she slings her arm out to scan my app. I start to walk off and decide I actually want to tan first. So I asked to tan. She asked to scan my app again and as I was pulling the app back up I asked her if she needed to see my eye wear also just to get that out of the way. She immediately says "I need to scan the black card" so again I asked "do you need to see eye wear?" And she freaked out and yelled in front of the whole gym that I'm being rude and would not let me speak what so ever. She just kept going on and on. I kept trying to ask if "I could talk" and she kept cutting me off telling me that I didn't tell her hey and that's her problem with me. Apparently thats what started her attitude with me.(I'm guessing this was monday when this all started at 4am)... like WHAT??? I'm thinking me asking questions has upset her.
When my 14 year old spoke up and said "just let her talk" she then said "now I'm definitely not talking to you since he wants to say that." HE IS A CHILD. I'm going to note she didn't ask for eye wear on Wednesday or Thursday (today). 🤷🏼‍♀️
Cassandra is very unprofessional, and immature. Poor customer service. Also want to mention that I tried to apologize as well on Wednesday just for her to cut me off and tell me she doesn't care. So shocked at the way this "employee" has handled the whole situation.

Tonight at 1030PM, July 7th 2025 I had faced the racism from your employee. I have been the member of this club for almost two years now.
The employee disrespected me and my father. She wouldn’t tell me her name nor called the supervisor. I am on a classic membership with planet fitness and my father was with me tonight. He didn’t want to use the gym but he was with me due to not having ride and I told him that let me use the gym then we can go and he only had to sit in the gym on the welcoming chairs. She was being disrespectful and said that he cannot stay in the gym even if he doesn’t workout as he doesn’t have a membership. Okay I agree but I saw the PF website where you can get a free guest pass. So I told her to give me that and she said it’s not free and you have to give $20. I said you can clearly see that PF has a free guest pass for first user so she said he needs to sign up first. When I signed him up and gave her the account details to provide free guest pass. She refused again and said that Im making difficult for her and that I also need to leave or she would call the cops. How in the hell? PF recruited such racist employee. I have seen this same woman let few people go without signing them up the other night as their account wasn’t being created due to some billing issue and tonight she just wouldn’t let my father sit in the chairs. This is a clear racism. I am going to talk to the manager tomorrow. I have already reported her to PF corporate and would take any necessary actions until she gets terminated and if she doesn’t Me and my other 5 friends with this club would leave the planet fitness and join some other gym where we can be respected.
She didn’t tell her name says “Why would I tell you my name”
She didn’t call supervisor, says “I am the supervisor” when clearly her badge said “New Team Member”
The manager or owner can check who she was at the counter around 1030PM, July 7th 2025.

If you are someone like me who chooses to wake up early to get a workout in before work due to not being a fan of the crowded environment that the afternoon brings to almost any gym. I would NOT recommend planet fitness. I was a member for around a year and some change and initially would come in the afternoons. I started coming in the early mornings where it wasn’t so crowded… I had my set schedule with my friend, we’d be there at 6am and be done by 7am. Hit the showers and head to work. This specific location only has ONE changing room. So as you can imagine it’s sort of like a first come first serve situation with the changing room. If I was not able to get to it before someone else I understood, since there was only ONE changing room. I didn’t want to rush anyone if I could just change in the bathroom and go on about my day. There was one specific day that me and friend were able to get out the shower and see the changing room was available. we moved our stuff in there and began to change.. there was a knock on the door 10min after beginning to change. we let whoever was knocking know that the room was occupied. We began to rush to let someone else get the chance to use it too. about 1 min later another knock followed by someone saying “
ARE YOU GUYS JUST TALKING ARE CHANGING TOO I WANNA USE THE MIRROR TOO” we replied letting the girl know we were almost done.. not even 1 min later ANOTHER knock followed by “planet fitness staff you have a LINE waiting to use the changing room too” we packed our stuff in a rush and came out to NO LINE OF PEOPLE but ONE GIRL who just couldn’t wait her turn. The staff member didn’t bother to ask how long we’d been in there for and LIED about there being a line. Me and my gym buddy would respect when someone was in the changing room and wouldn’t rush them out. And for a staff member to be aware they only ONE changing room per locker room and to rush someone out is ridiculous. Me and my buddy decided to go in there together out of courtesy so others can get a chance too other than taking turns each and just making it a longer wait for someone else. This is why I canceled my membership and joined crunch.

I have been a member of 6 different Planet Fitness locations over the years. I joined this Gainesville location a few months ago. This PF, by far, is the best one of which I’ve ever been a member. The building is clean, the machines are well maintained and rarely out of order, and the staff is cordial. CJ and Lucian specifically are outstanding and go out of their way on a daily basis to make my experience at PF incomparably great to any other fitness clubs.

It’s new. The facility itself is great, machines are good, and there are a lot of treadmills and elliptical machines. One issue I personally have…The 30 minute circuit room gets bogged down often with people not moving from machine to machine as posted which makes it difficult to do a 30 minute circuit as posted. I am posting here because there is nowhere on your website to contact anyone.
I’m writing to share some feedback about my experience at your gym this afternoon. I've recently started focusing on my physical fitness and regularly use your 30-minute circuit. Often, I have to skip a piece of equipment due to someone doing multiple reps, but I usually just come back to it when it opens up. However, this past Friday was different. I went through the entire circuit, and a girl had been on the leg press the whole time. I would have used the leg press in the open gym, but they were occupied.
I went to the desk and asked for help from the staff, as the sign for the 30-minute circuit indicates it is monitored, and your equipment policy states (Planet Fitness does not set time limits on any piece of cardio, functional, or strength training equipment, with the exception of equipment located in the 30-Minute Express Circuit). However, when a staff member came over, they asked why I didn’t use another leg press and told the girl to go ahead and finish her two more reps. This was extremely frustrating and completely disrespectful. Why have a 30-minute circuit if you are not going to uphold the rules?
I hope this issue is addressed appropriately.
