As an EMT, I wasn't even allowed to use their facilities today. The man at the front desk was rude and told me if I didn't have a membership I can't use their facilities. I'm not one to constantly parade and boast about my position, but I think it should be made an exception for first responders to be able to use the bathroom if needed.

Been going here for a long time, early morning (5:30am). Just consistent. Wish they had extras of couple of popular machines and some free-weight benches, but I understand why not. Some TVs have been out for literally almost a year. Maybe because it's the Fox News TV, LOL, but who knows. Not the best place, but convenient and works when I travel (black card).

Planet fitness, Hiram, has been "A1" from the start and every time I visit. I am a full-time undergrad for Criminology major/Psychology minor, and as a union member of SAG-AFTRA, I visit Georgia for "film" opportunities. When out of my school state, I go online. Dependent upon where the "production" is filming determines my gym location. PLNT Hiram, is relaxed enough where I can log into school and not have to worry about any distractions. As a former professional athlete of 15yrs, when I am there to "workout," I have the same sentiment. The staff are welcoming. The facilities are clean. It's a good atmosphere.
The reader has probably noticed my use of "ticker" symbol. Yes, PLNT is also apart of my investment portfolio, and I do participate in the annual meetings.
Not to steal any shine away from Hiram, as an investor, Georgia gyms, Hiram, Smyrna and Canton make me confident, with Mableton giving me 50% confidence. I feel ZERO confidence for a gym such as Cumberland.

The facility is nice. There are plenty of machines for everyone. They have sanitizing stations to clean machines which is a plus. I just started going back. Been paying for the black membership for years and not using it 😔 I heard they have a sauna but I have yet to find it. The people at the front desk never speak when I come in. I always enjoy coming here, I have the black card membership so I can tan and use the hydro massage bed and the massage chair which is definitely a plus! After working out laying in that bed or chair really feels great. They just did a renovation and have lots of new machines and I'm really happy about it. Looks good and always a nice atmosphere to be in. I've definitely noticed that if I bring my wireless earbuds in and listen to my own music (or an audiobook) it is a better experience. Just a pointer 👍

The people and machines/weights available are good. What kills this location for me is the locker rooms. There is constantly water all over the floor and counters. The showers offer very little privacy, literally just a stall and a curtain, nothing more. The bathroom smells disgusting, and I understand it’s a bathroom, but I have been to several different clubs before whether it be Onelife, Golds, etc, and none of their bathrooms at any location I’ve been too have smelt disgusting or looked disgusting, just Planet Fitness at this location. Wasn’t once, every single visit it was like this.

When I went to cancel yesterday they asked me “What would you say the reason for your cancellation is?” I straight up told them that their bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and the counter representative said to me “yeah, that’s fair.” This to me shows that they aware that the bathrooms are disgusting but don’t do much of anything about it.

If bathroom privacy & cleanliness are a concern for you then I’d recommend avoiding this location

I had been looking for a gym that fit my needs for a long time. I went to Planet Fitness to find out what they had to offer. The woman who was at the desk showed me their application and everything you could accomplish with it, like checking in, looking at different workouts, etc. My MAIN concern was finding a gym offering group classes, and I was VERY clear about that concern. In the application, there is a section that offers group classes every 30 minutes! I couldn’t believe it! (I wish I had not believed it…) So based SOLELY on the fact that I could join a group class every 30 minutes, I joined the gym. Well, needless to say, there is no such offering at Planet Fitness. There are no “real” classes, just a person who comes in, maybe, and helps you train. I will say that the gym is nice, the equipment is good, and the guy who shows up, hopefully, to do the “class”, is pretty good; I do not blame him for my disappointment (although my last “class” was a very bad experience…) What bothers me is that I joined thinking there would be an organized group class every day, and that is FAR from the truth. I joined under false pretenses and wasted money, as I ended up paying for a yearly fee that should never have been charged since I ended my membership within the first month. If you are not looking for group classes, then great, join that gym, it is pretty nice, and clean. But if you are looking for group classes, DO NOT waste your money. It was a huge disappointment, and a waste of money.

I received a reply from PF. Someone said: with lies you can always get ahead, but you can never go back. There isn’t anything Planet Fitness can do now. They already lied to get me to join. Don’t bother offering me to go back there for anything. Thanks anyway. As I said, the gym is fine, but not for someone looking for group classes. That is all.

Took a dip in service and maintenance after Crunch opened in '22, but has rebounded and replaced a lot of their old exercise machines. People are coming back and maintenance has improved. Great staff--friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

It is a very large and clean facility. The staff seems pretty friendly and there are a lot of machine options. I only wish some people would not hog the machine in the training section when others are using the room the right way. I've seen too many people come and just sit on one machine throwing off the cycle of the others using the area correctly and if they pay attention those same machines are available in other areas. Overall the place is pretty efficient.

I really like the location and workout, the things I don't like is they don't fix anything. I've ask over and over to fix the hand bike (it works just has a loose arm). Another thing is the men's bathroom has a smell that is so bad that it gets in your clothes. Not sure if it the broke urinal or some dirty sweats in a locker. Please fix...I like going to workout.

It's cool. Not packed early weekends mornings and early before 7 AM weekdays. Bathroom could use lots of TLC, it is the worst of all gyms I've been to. I try to wash my hands before I leave and end up walking out bc it is always so dirty. I get that it's musty bc it's a gym but it's always so dirty. Needs cleaning throughout the day, that is why I'm giving it a 2. Also, people need to understand that the 30 minute room is a rotating workout. Maybe signs with instructions need to be bigger. Every time I use it people just sit on the machines without rotating with the lights. Put clearer, bigger instructions.

I know is $10 a month. Well, now $15 a month, but we still deserve to be able to use all the machines. It has been over a month since the stair master machines are "out of service". There are several machines that have had the same sign for over a month now. Reading the rest of the reviews, pretty much all mention this same issue and get the same response "contact management" the issue is being brought to their attention, Why not go ahead and fix the problem. My membership was canceled at my local gym (Hiram) by a spiteful member of the staff, Misty, Assistant Manager. The club was closing early for the 4th of July at 1p. 1p hit and my teenage sons had 15 seconds left in our final set. I advised my teenage boys to finish the last 15 seconds strong as I had my headphones on. Misty went ballistic and began yelling and threatened to call the police. I apologized and said sorry we oy had 15 seconds left. She proceeded to yell and asked for my name. She followed me out of the club and took pictures of my car and tag.

She subsequently canceled my membership that I’ve already paid for the next morning. I spoke with the branch manager and she indicated that they were standing behind Misty's decision even though the camera showed us walking out of the door at 1:01p.

This is embarrassing and unacceptable customer service. I understand that everyone wants to leave and it was a holiday and policies, but those 15 seconds of completing a set didn't hurt anyone and definitely did not deserve to be verbally berated in front of my children. I wonder if we weren't African American, would the same treatment been applied.

I'm a local basketball coach and a pillar in the community. I teach young athletes to respect authority in every situation, which is why I didn't say a word. Even as I was trying to explain the situation to the General Manager, Misty could not help but yell out and interrupt. Customer service is essential in any industry.

I enjoying going to planet fitness, and love getting in the hydro massage bed and chair after working out. The staff is friendly as well and make you feel wanted. The only suggestion I have is for the planet fitness app to get the being able to take a picture inside the app so you can keep track of your progress. It’s nice seeing the progress after months of working out. I also love how this summer they have the program for your kid 14 and up to workout. It gives my child something to do with it being summer time while she is out of school for summer. Iam excited she will be able to workout with me this summer. It gives her more to do then just swim at home in our inground pool. So looking forward to the adventures this summer and see the progress afterwards!!

This gym is the nicer gym in town. The parking is spacious and the inside is also pretty wide and you have a bit more personal space than other gyms nearby. I tried most of the gyms in town. My only complain is the maintenance. They should do a better job hiring more people to clean. The trashcans are always full and need to be emptied. Also many times they need to refill paper towels; they are always empty! Also the air circulation needs attention. More fans or AC needs to work. The treadmills are always breaking.. I'm a blackcard member and I expect my money's worth. If there are some positive changes i will change my review. If not i will keep it and move to another gym..

Decided to go to this location last night and didn't make it out of my car. The parking lot was PITCH BLACK but only by the gym. Which I thought that was very strange ??? The rest of the parking lot was well lit !!!

Why would the only 24 hour business not have their portion of the parking lot lit ? I had to drive 30 mins to the next locations because I felt unsafe that late at night.

That is definitely a security risk and hazard ... people please be safe and on high alert ⚠️

Hiram location has took a turn for the worse. Overnight attendant doesn’t listen to the members. It’s hot all the time and refuses to turn the fans up because “he’s cold”, meanwhile the members that are working out have no air circulation. Assistant manager says regional manager doesn’t want the fans on high for some reason.

Also noticed a large number of people recording themselves in the gym-which is fine but I'm getting tired of moving so I don't end up on IG, tik-tok or wherever these kids are putting their videos on.

I've been a member of Planet Fitness Hiram for 6 years. Lately, I've been considering making a change. Yes, it's frequently hot in the gym, sort of like ALL Wal Mart stores, wear the thermostats are centrally set low during winter and high in the summer. Complaining about it has been a waste of time. The gym's music is cranked louder too, even with my noise cancelling ear buds. Lastly, the locker rooms aren't kept as clean they were in years past. I hope management takes more of this review from a long time member, and acts accordingly, or I'm gone!
