As a black card membership holder I’ve visited many gyms and this one is very unprofessional and unclean. Many of the staff aren’t friendly or helpful. More than once when I just needed a good massage chair, they didn’t even turn it on or turned something else on. It’s very disappointing.

The equipment is good and it's not crowded like other gyms, the only thing I don't like is that I go in the morning and the fans are blowing really hard and instead of being warmed up for training I stop my warm-up when I'm cold, in my opinion there's no need to have air conditioning and fans at the same time.

I am extremely pleased with facility in Kennesaw. Manager was great helping my membership. Took me through the entire gym showing everything that offered. Always greets me by first name ever visit to the gym. Entire staff is always courteous and helpful. Everything aspect of the benefits of the memberships were explained in detail before I joined. The entire facility is always very clean and we'll staffed always. Great place to work out!

The facility is very well equipped, the staff are friendly, it's rarely over-crowded, and the HVAC is usually very comfortable. The clientele are generally quiet and courteous, in keeping with the "No Judgement Zone" mindset that the franchise emphasizes.

Justin and asmire are very good at what they do. They not only keep the gym clean and the equipment in tip top shade, they take care of the guest. 04/12)2025: Justin is Great and Knowledgeable about the Cardio Machines. You have a few Sci Fitness machines that show the most important stats which are METS and Watts. You have other Cardio Machines where you can pull up your METS and Watts After you finish. It is more helpful to monitor as you work the n machine. Sci Fitness is all my Cardio Rehab uses. One hour 15 minute drive each way. Your Row machines are great except the screens are difficult to read and do not give good stats. If Justin did not know something for sure he immediately researched the information. But, Justin knew / knows pretty much all of the. Information and is very kind and a people person. We appreciate Justin. Justin is The one who actually walks around and checks on the people using e the equipment.
04/10/2024: This is a great place for exercise. Bathrooms are another matter. With all the traffic, One Urinal in the Men's bathroom. ? Two toilet stalls....ADJACENT to the showers AND No Exhaust Fans! Bad, bad bathroom design. Bad.

Great gym I love going here it’s always clean and equipment always looks wiped down. The machines 9/10 are working. On my last visit the person at the desk was on there phone and i scanned my pass and also had my husband with me. He does not have one, but I do have the membership that allows another person so I did have a second scan. The person of the desk never would have known if I scanned something else or if I scanned him in, they never looked up from their phone. Lastly I do wish they had a bigger area to stretch or open space. I don’t believe anyone usually uses the yellow area that could definitely be changed to an area like that. Whenever I stretch I find my self almost stretching in their office cause that is the only area where there’s a good amount of open space.

I've been going to this gym regularly for about 1 year now*. I have a few things to mention in terms of my review. As a person who has owned businesses in the past, I understand how much your employees and customer service truly matter. There's an employee who works nights, his name is Chase. He's a great employee. Never on his shift have I encountered empty hand sanitizers, lack of paper towels, or empty spray bottles. While he's working, I enjoy working out at this location.

However, when their employee named Charles is working, the experience goes from a 4 star to a 0 star. He's rude, inconsiderate, does not pay attention to refilling any of the spray bottles or sanitizers, and goes around bugging patrons and keeps telling them to restack weights and work out in particular areas. On top of that, he is incredibly rude. He's never smiling, constantly belittling the guests (or at least my family and I), and he ruins the entire workout.

Today, the gym was closing at 7 p.m., and he turned off music at 6:20. He starts ringing the lunk alarm to tell people to leave. The issue is that he does this 15 to 20 mins before close. I've been encountering this behavior for months, but today was the last straw. He was rude to my parents and ruined my workout by shutting off music. He regularly turns music off 30 mins in advance, but today, the 40 mins in advance was pushing it.

I highly suggest management take action against Charles and make him understand that this is inappropriate to treat patrons as such. Ideally, he gets fired. Because otherwise, I will switch gyms, and I'm sure many others will not come to this location either.

Edit: I'm dropping the review from 2 stars to 1. Planet Fitness really needs to re-do their marketing team. Giving 14-19 yr olds free entry throughout the summer is an absolutely idiotic idea. I understand that it will increase revenue short-term because the teens may eventually pay to join the gym. But, they're losing their long-term customers who want to work out peacefully and have the availability of equipment. Two machines (at least) were down today, and the other two were occupied by kids sitting on their phones. When there are only 4 machines, with two being out-of-order, if there are two teens sitting there on the equipment taking up space without using the machines, how is that acceptable? We're literally paying $25 for a black card, while others come in free, to take up the machines and not even use them! I think I'll be switching gyms if these issues aren't fixed within this month.

I’m reporting on the behavior of the manager, Aaron, that happened this morning. I was in a group class on a new equipment set. A young lady approached and started to reach for a dumbbell. A member of the class and the trainer let the young lady know that we were using the equipment and would be done in 20 minutes. The lady then went to the manager, Aaron, and mentioned that she wanted that one dumbbell. Aaron came over, took the dumbbell and gave it to her. She then proceeded to sit on a nearby bench and use her phone for the next 15 minutes and never touched the dumbbell. One of our group mentioned to Aaron that she wasn’t using the dumbbell and he replied that she’s a manger at another Planet Fitness and your class wasn’t scheduled anyway. He told another someone else in the class that he didn’t have to give her an explanation. Not only was it embarrassing but we felt like as members of the gym that both Aaron and the manager from the other gym should support their customers and their trainer, which they did not do.

I have been to many planet fitness across Georgia. But when I started going to this location, I was not excited about planet fitness anymore. The equipment is okay The service is subpar depending on the day. My main issue is the bathroom!!! It always smells so heavy in urine and feces. Today ironically I went in there and the cleaning lady was in there and it didn't even smell like it was being cleaned it smells so horrific I had to hold my breath just to be able to use the bathroom. My husband was in the men's and he immediately called me saying we're leaving because he was experiencing the same thing in the men's bathroom. He stated that there is only two toilet stalls in that bathroom. One was really messy with poop everywhere. And the other one did not even have a door. And it was smelling too in there just like the women's. Needless to say I'm never coming back to this location again. This was probably our fifth time trying to work out at this location. But the facilities just ain't it!! The other day when I came in they were dirty nasty socks in the shower stall. And weird liquids all over the floor with no signs for slipping. It just doesn't feel like anybody cares about taking care of the bathrooms! There is definitely no privacy if you like to shower after your workout. Out of all the planet fitness locations I've ever been to this is the only one that does not have privacy rooms or dressing rooms. Some of the ones that don't have dressing rooms, they at least have an extra space of privacy right next to the shower stall. but this location doesn't. I have brought a few issues to the staff attention as it pertains to the cleanliness of the bathroom but nobody seemed to care.

If I could give this place a one star rating, I would have, but one of the workers, Chase, is a REALLY hardworking, kind, and nice guy and every time we visit the gym we make sure we go when he's working. The main reason I gave this place such a low rating is because of the nasty attitude of one of the other workers, his name is Charles, he walks around with a very uninviting and unpleasant expression and constantly tells the people in the gym what they should and should not be doing. On days when the gym closes at 9PM and 7PM, if he has a shift, he makes sure to turn the music off 30-40 minutes in advance, and rings the siren 15 whole minutes before closing. Anyone could injure themselves on the leg press machine because of how loud the siren is. He is not a manager and he should not be behaving how he does. Otherwise this gym is decent, but we only go to this location when he's not there. I'd also like to note that the new younger employees are very kind and patient.

This gym is much smaller than the one I'm used to. Water fountain is finally fixed. It's that time of year where it gets unusually crowded. Does the a/c work? I like this one b/c they have the arc trainer/cybex machine.

*Updated review Feb 2024* I gave them another star because they have made some improvements as far as expanding the weight room size. However, I took that star away b/c they took out the one machine I liked. Just like the PF in Cartersville, they claim the arc trainers were upgraded. Wrong, the new ones are just more elliptical trainers. If the owner/staff ever used them, they would know there is a difference in how the elliptical and old arc trainers move & feel.

I am going to give a 1 because the Women's Locker Room is despicable and disgusting dirty. It makes me question the cleanliness of the entire gym. Especially ,Massage Chairs and Beds. Patrons wipe down but you can definitely see that this place does not get a general or thorough cleaning. Please address the Locker Room asap. One mirror looks like someone smeared feces on it. There's always toliet paper on the floor or feces in the one at the end. If it needs to be serviced please call a plumber. There are Never any toilet covers and around the seats are plain filty. Other than that staff is nice and no problems . Just need a thorough and consistent cleaning especially of Locker room and water fountains indicator shows that the filter is nearing a replacement.

Wow, I have moved to this PF
1 1/2 years ago & the same soap dispenser is still not on the wall. The tanning bed rooms are too dark and you never know if the stand up/ lay down beds are clean. Locker room is very small and an awkward set up, (needs to be clean more)Toilets always have something wrong with them. You can’t see the TVs if you workout during the day and the gym is also too dark. Maybe look at the clubs in other locations to get some better ideas. Also, Maybe because I go during the day that the workers just stand around but maybe they can keep busy or the manager needs to say something. I will finish by saying Jordan is the only one that has introduced himself and speaks to me every time I come into the gym. It is nice to see someone that likes to be at his job or around people.

Been coming here off and on for the last few years. I usually come during the twilight hours so i dont have to encounter too many folks so i dont have to rush. Its a solid gym. Just not sure if the guy working twilight on weekdays does much. I kind of just see him walking around not doing much. The gym is also inconsistent with cleaniness. There are nights where i come and everything is looking nice and others where it is kinda trashy. Its never awful or bad. Same goes for the chemical spray bottles ans paper towels. You never really know if you are going to have to go to another area of the gym to find a spot that has both stocked at once.

I like this place, but it could be a lot better if the employees just had a little more perception about when things need to be done vs not.

They clean machines during the less busy times and do replace broken equipment quickly.
That being said, the trainers and employees don't enforce wiping down the equipment after you use them. Gross.
If that isn't bad enough, there are either 6 emplyees behind the front desk doing nothing as there are full bins, empty paper towel holders, and empty spray bottles...
OR
There is no one in sight working and 3-5 people needing assistance waiting for an employee. Currently watching as people have waited for 20 mins? More? With no employee anywhere.
Not to mention that it is a huge security threat. Anyone can walk in without a membership.

Decent selection of machines but the stair machines have been broken for a long time and many of the treadmills wiggle from left to right when you run on them.
