The gym is clean and they’ve added new equipment, but they still operate with the same old Planet Fitness mentality—no gym bags, no tripods, no stringer shirts, and no “booty shorts.” If you train seriously, they still find ways to gym-discriminate based on what you’re wearing. They’re trying to attract more serious lifters, but until they truly change the culture, it’s really just a gym you go to when you have no other option or if you’re older and prefer a more relaxed environment.

On 7/11 I called and spoke to Tanisha and informed her that I was homeless due to squatters, no longer in the area, couldn’t get to the location in order to cancel, and need to cancel this membership. I didn’t even mention the bloody pad on the bathroom floor which was also a reason for my wanting to cancel.

She took my name, email, and phone number and said she would handle the cancellation and apologized for what I was experiencing.
10/31 I get a pending charge of 49 dollars. In total surprise because like I said I thought I’d cancelled with Tanisha. I reach out to the club and again tell them that I cancelled this membership and asked for a refund. The associate told me that the manager was not there and to call back. I sent a message and waited. Today I call back and speak with Tanisha who very nonchalantly denied ever telling me she cancelled my membership back In July. then proceeded to tell me there is nothing she can do. I just got a place and need to pay my rent but your 49 fee caused it to bounce. Since this is the stance Tanaisha lying Asana taking I request a refund from July through November in addition to the annual fee that I did not authorize. If she wasn’t or couldn’t cancel over the phone why did she lie and tell me she handled it? She also has a funky attitude that she didn’t care so was about to be evicted after finally finding a place after being homeless for eight months. Since I cancelled verbally by the phone in July and tried by email but was given the wrong email address, I respectfully request my money back today or I will reach out to my nano and subsequently my attorney. I will also report you to FTC, CFPB, the attorney general and BBB and we can run it! It’s whatever! I’m not about to be homeless again for corporate greed. I was respectful in speaking with her, and she was nonchalant and indifferent to my needs, that type of person shouldn’t be working with the public. I’ve also been told that her friends and relatives get preferential treatment in regards to things like this from a few employees.

I had to privilege of trying out the new state of the art recovery equipment for black card members a few days ago and my goodness!! My body is so thankful and so am I. I was not aware that we had brand new state of the art machinery to help the body recover faster. Thanks to Mr Martesi, I can leave the gym daily now with a brand new body. Thank you so much bro💯

I have know Mr Martesi now for about 2-3 years. From day one he has been super professional, great vibes and just a positive person overall that also believes in working out and taking care of his body. Cancelled my membership. The staff here is very rude and incompetent. Went here on Sunday to find out why I’m being overcharged for my membership when i have payment on file . The desk attendant stated i will have to come back during the week to speak with a manager. Today i go in and I’m questioned why the person couldn’t help me the prior day i repeated what they told me (i need a manager ) anyway I’m requesting a refund for every time i was overcharged . Please bring back the 30 min circuit room! The circuit room is a Planet Fitness staple that provided an area for beginners to have a good work out without having to figure out what to do next. Why not enhance the circuit room instead of removing it? Not everyone is advanced in their fitness journey. This place is so confusing now. There are 2 areas with empty space and all of the workout machines are jammed together on the floor. Its nice to see new equipment but the circuit room was my my main reason for joining Planet Fitness. I have the Basic membership so now I have to transfer locations or try out another fitness center.

This Planet Fitness is still a great place to workout. They recently refreshed/updated their equipment, and rearranged the layout. I miss the circuit training area, but that opened a new space for stretching & free weight workouts. PF still offers work out classes, and the local manager, Martice, keeps the gym clean and operating smoothly.

I can’t stand this Planet Fitness location. One of the workers (wish I knew her annoying name) makes the entire environment uncomfortable. Worked out at another Planet fitness before changing my membership to this location. Staff is very friendly and keep this place very clean. You dont see them sitting behind the counter just talking to each other. If they're not cleaning then they are staying busy and on top of things. The manager keeps them busy and is also very friendly. I worked out at another location and never seen them studying for a test about the machines or equipment that they have at their location, this one does. I can not say enough about the facility and the amazing staff that works there.

I’ve had the pleasure of training with Reveal at Planet Fitness, and I can honestly say he’s one of the best trainers I’ve ever worked with. From the start, he made me feel comfortable and confident, no matter my fitness level. He takes the time to understand your goals and builds workouts that are both challenging and effective.

Even on days when I’m not scheduled to train with him, Reveal still checks in and gives me workouts to do. That kind of dedication is rare. He’s also always helping other members in the gym—if he sees someone using incorrect form, he offers friendly guidance to help them out.

Reveal genuinely cares about people and their progress. He’s motivating, knowledgeable, and consistently goes above and beyond. I wish I could give him a raise myself—he truly deserves it! If you’re at Planet Fitness and looking for a great trainer, look no further than Reveal.

I've visited this planet fitness a couple times when traveling for business in Atlanta GA. I've noticed that all planet fitnesses mirror each other. Matrix equipment, color scheme and even layout is close to my home town gym. The staff was friendly and seemed to be very busy at 6am cleaning, moving products, and just staying busy. I plan on visiting here more often as work permits im in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised with this location! On the outside, it looks small but its not! Its a full size facility with everything you love to work out with! Everything was very clean. They even have the hydromassage (if i had to describe it i would say it feels like hot tub jets without the hot tub. Perfect for someone like me that can’t handle the intensity of traditional massage chairs. and their total body enhancement booth (red light) is always relaxing! Can’t wait to visit this location again! 👏💯

I've been a member of Planet Fitness for a while now, and I have to say, this location does a fantastic job! The gym is always clean, and it’s clear the staff takes pride in maintaining the space. I really appreciate how friendly and welcoming all the employees are—they make the whole experience enjoyable.

Another thing I want to commend is how dedicated the staff is, especially Imani and Marquis on 1/21/2025, during inclement weather. It's great to see them open and ready to go, ensuring that members have a place to work out no matter what’s going on outside.

The only suggestion I’d have is the addition of an ab glider machine to the equipment selection. I think it would be a great addition to an already awesome gym!

Overall, I’m really happy with my experience at this Planet Fitness, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and reliable gym.

I’ve been to approximately 75-100 planet fitness locations across the country. This has far been the friendliest and cleanest gym I’ve come across. There was one employee at the counter to help, and every other person was on the floor or in the locker room keeping it spotless. By far the best planet fitness I’ve been to yet! They have a lot more machines than some other planet fitness’ do, and nothing was in disrepair at all. Great job!

I moved, called in to cancel since you can't do it online. Was told that I either needed to make the 3 hour drive or send in a hand written letter. First off, don't be rude and tell me there is a PF 45 minutes to where I am moving. I will not be driving that far for a mediocre gym. Ummmm... Why is PF so behind by not allowing you to cancel online or over the phone? Called my bank and disputed the transaction. Bank refunded and blocked PF from being able to charge my account. Well, somehow they have charged my other checking account, which I did not authorize. Calling the bank again to dispute it again. From what the bank told me, I am definitely not the first person to have major issues with PF and the way they charge.

If you are a technology driven person who prefers to handle all of your business online, this is definitely not the place for you.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I have been a paying member here and I’ve never encountered such unprofessional and disrespectful staff at a gym, especially from a manager! I reached out to resolve an issue, hoping for a constructive conversation, but instead, they were unprofessional and disrespectful. I’ve never felt so undervalued as a customer. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority at this location. I was met with rude and dismissive behavior. Nick, the manager, seems to always want to dictate the conversation rather than offering a solution telling me “be quiet and let me finish”. He has been Very rude and disrespectful to me, called me a “liar” and when I told him not to call me that, he repeated it, told me to find the corporate number on my own when I requested it, told me I can’t talk to anyone else but him and he hung up in my face. All while trying to get my first issue resolved, my active membership was canceled without my permission! I was told it was an accident but even getting clarification on that has been awful! As a paying member, I expected at least a basic level of respect and professionalism, but that is clearly too much to ask for here. From the looks of other reviews, professionalism is a huge problem here! Whoever the franchise owner is, should feel embarrassed and ashamed at some of the employees here, ESPECIALLY THE MANAGERS!

I do have the Integrity line phone number information, but I would also like contact information for the owner or corporate office so I can escalate this matter and address the unacceptable treatment I received. This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed—if you value respectful service, avoid this gym!!!

No shower heads in ladies showers, except one shower head that was spraying everywhere. I like to shower before I leave the gym. Also the warm water had a smell like the water heater probably had a build up inside. The smell was taking away from the refreshing purpose of the shower, probably a corroding anode rod. The treadmill I used had a greasy residue on the handle bars where hands are placed to perform the heart rate scan. Overall the gym is good but definitely needs maintenance on the women’s shower heads and the water heater smell needs to be checked out.

It sucks because I haven't written a 3-star review in a while, but my partner and I have been working out at this location for 2 weeks together. Wonderful experience, he's a familiar face in the gym, and for the first time, I've experienced negative energy.

When I walk in, I always greet everyone with a good morning, but this staff didn't acknowledge me. She was focus on the shirt my partner was wearing.

Which I can understand but no hello, have a good work out, nothing. First time seeing this employee, she focuses on what's wrong, but the womens bathroom needs to be cleaned, lack customer service, no smile, and shouldn't be a part of the morning shift.

Morning people will never match energy wise with non morning or low energy people.

I have been a member for over 8 years. I been going to this the McDonough location faithfully for about 2 years unless I was out of town. I was canceled by a new manager name Tenisha. She has been extremely unprofessional, passive aggressive, and disrespectful. She has embarrassed me Infront of staff and other members. She has been harassing and antagonizing my friends and I since she has started. The gym is supposed to be a zen moment, to get peace and reduce stress as well as a quick workout In between life to maintain good health.
