I’ve been coming to this location for years and it serves its purpose overall. But since the equipment has been replaced it seems like there isn’t enough equipment. Lately people have been coming in hogging the equipment! It’s ridiculous! I’ve been driving out of my way to the Brookhaven location because it’s more spacious and it has more equipment. People treat the Milton location like it’s their personal training or home gym! Very frustrating!

I love coming to the Planet Fitness and working on my body goals here. I’ve grown to love the staff and the amenities. However, I started to fall off of my workout routine, so I started attending the classes with the personal trainer. This would be my first time joining any workout classes, so I didn’t know what to expect. I enjoyed the exercises and plans that the personal trainer would come up with. Overtime, I started to notice some strange things with the personal trainer. He made a lot of comments on mine and the other women’s bodies. He would state, “ you have everything there and that you just needed to tone it up”, which I thought would be normal for a personal trainer to mention and pretty tame. I would dismiss these comments. What I could not dismiss was the fact that during one of my session that was more one on one, he stated to me
“ you always smell good, you smell like a muffin, I like muffins”
Then later that session, there was a moment he decided to grab a strand of my hair and hold it up will I was working on upper body. He proceeded to say that he liked my long hair. After this, the comments on my body just left me feeling uneasy. Like I mentioned before, this was my first time being with a trainer so wasn’t sure if this was normal behavior but I know that I should trust my gut. So I decided to bring a close friend to join the class to work on her body goals and to help observe his behavior to see if she found it unsettling herself. This is when the red flags started to show.
1. He told my friend that I had the “perfect” body and that he wants to get her to look like me. (unnecessarily comparing bodies is a strange move for a trainer that is supposed to be helping each person with their individual body goals)
2. We told the trainer that we are Vegan and he stated that he “wanted to shove a cow down our throats.”
( Some lifestyles aren’t for everyone but we deserve for ours to be respected and to be with a trainer that knows there are tons of different diets out there and have a educated understanding of them)
3. During the session he randomly grabbed the side of my face and when I flinched away he laughed it off like it was normal.
(There is no reason for any trainer to get that personal with you ever!! This felt like he was testing the water to see how far he can take things)

After this class with him I knew that I wasn’t going to attended anymore it was too weird. I hoped that wouldn’t have to run into him again and that I could still work out and avoid him. This has only partially helped.

My occupation so happens to be nearby so of-course i run into people that go to the gym on this particular day when the trainer was off of work. He decided to come into my places of work to say hi and check on me. I was completely shocked that he would come in to my job like we were more than acquaintances and only came in to talk to me. I think that this is inappropriate from a business standpoint but also personal one when I am barely legal age and he is old enough to be my parent. This was not an isolated event he would make it a habit to come and check in and order something while I was attending his classes. Which would have been normal if not for the fact that my coworker would tell me when I was off work he would come in asking where I was and what I was doing. This started to make me feel like what if he is turning into a stalker because of a comment he made during one of the classes that if i stopped showing up he knew where I worked. I tried to move past this but now that I haven’t been going to classes and speaking with him I just catch him looking at me while I come to work out on my own. I have talked with other women that attended his classes and have associated with him they have all confirmed my uncomfortable feeling around him and they also would state that he made them uncomfortable as well. This is just a warning for all the young women going to this gym please be careful and observant I am not sure if he is a dangerous guy but if you want personal training consider joining another class.

Employees are courteous and helpful. Facility is clean. It is a non-intimidating environment. All fitness levels would feel welcome here. As a long time customer of planet fitness, this particular one makes me feel very unsafe and uncomfortable. I have my reasons. my experience at this location was horrible. I can just say this from my experience of being new in the city between Roswell georgia, alpharetta, and Milton georgia, the residents and the people in the cities, I've mentioned are unpleasant and demonic. I've never experienced such evilness from people, I don't even know.

I get judged and monitored by strangers, I don't even know. Using the judgement free zone speech , to gaslight in order to cover up, concerns presented, is out of order, period.

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an incident that occurred recently at your Milton, GA location. I have been a loyal member of Planet Fitness for over two years and have always enjoyed the welcoming and non-intimidating atmosphere your gym promotes. Unfortunately, this recent encounter left me feeling intimidated, scared, and deeply disappointed.

On the day in question, I was approached by two staff members, one of whom claimed to be a manager, while I was in the middle of my workout. About 30 minutes into my routine, I was confronted and told that I was not allowed to use my personal jump rope at the gym. The tone and manner in which I was addressed felt unnecessarily aggressive, especially since I had been using my jump rope during workouts for the past four months without any issues or complaints from staff or other members.

I understand that every gym has policies, but I was unaware of any rule against bringing personal jump ropes. Many members bring their own workout accessories, such as gloves, bands, or mats, without any issue. Furthermore, the gym does not provide jump ropes, so my use of personal equipment does not conflict with any provided amenities.

What concerned me most was the manager's threat to cancel my membership or have me removed from the gym. This approach was unnecessarily harsh and inconsistent with the "Judgement Free Zone" ethos that Planet Fitness is known for. This experience has shaken my trust in the inclusivity and professionalism of your establishment, especially considering my long-standing membership and regular attendance.

I ask that you review this situation and clarify the policy regarding personal equipment. If there is a valid concern, I believe it should have been communicated in a more respectful and constructive manner. Additionally, I hope your staff is reminded of the importance of addressing members with professionalism and courtesy.

The hot water in the women bathroom works for at least one minute, and then it gets cold. Several women complained to the managers several times. I have been complaining since August 2024. Nothing has been done yet. The managers, who are Will and Eric, said they put in an order so it can be fixed. When?? I'm still waiting🤔. I'm going to reach out to corporate!! This makes me not want to join Planet fitness. I'm up under by friend pass. I will change the review once the hot water is working properly. I have no other complaints. It’s really gone downhill. Used to be a great gym. Lately it’s a mess. Floor is filthy, covered in dust and hair like no one swept after they moved the equipment around. Planet Fitness in Milton is perfect for myself and my wife! I am recovering from multiple injuries from a fall. My physical therapy from my Doctors office has not gotten me where I wanted to be! I have always had negative feelings about Fitness Centers. In fact I was intimidated about even walking in the door. Eric the Facility Manager made me immediately feel at ease. He is very kind,he explains everything in detail and made me feel welcome! I love this place and have gotten my wife to join also. We are not young people for sure! Joined 1/04/24 signed up for the $24.99 membership so I could take advantage of the hydro massage beds. Of course they mentioned they have 6 hydro massage beds and 2 massage chairs when I did a one day trial. However since I’ve joined 5 out of 6 of the hydro beds are inoperable/not working. So there’s a line to use them. After one (number 6) breaking on me today I asked to downgrade my membership from $25.99 to $9.99 since I don’t tan and this is the only location I visit. Without the hydro massage beds working there’s no point for me to $24.99. I was told there is $49 downgrade fee. Absolutely a horrible policy these are franchised so I know this isn’t the experience everyone has. I was told there is a promotion “lucky me 😒” so I only have to pay $1 to downgrade. Don’t get the $24.99 plan at this location if you’re like me and want to use the hydro beds regularly. Also no one monitors the 30 minute circuit training section which is the area I wanted to use the most. People sit back there on there phones for 20 minutes daily and not once has someone said anything to them. Staff is always at the desk so there’s no visibility of the area.

On Thursday, January 19, 2024, at 07:48 AM, I visited one of your franchise locations in Houston, TX, located at 5770 Hollister Rd, 77040 as a Black Card member. Unfortunately, I was denied access to the gym as I was informed that my account was past due and needed payment to be active again.

Despite showing the Houston associate a screenshot of my account that showed that I had made the payment of $65.05, I was still denied access. The Houston associate called the Milton, GA gym and spoke with the manager on duty. That manager stated that no payment was received and not to allow me access to the gym.

This experience has left me humiliated and in tears. However, I believe that even in the face of disappointment, we have the ability to rise above it and seek a better solution.

As a loyal customer, I believe that the treatment I received goes against your core values as a company. I am seeking your help in resolving this issue, not just to regain my dignity, but also to inspire hope in others who may find themselves in a similar situation.

I am aware that I need to send another notification to cancel my membership, but my funds are limited. Paying $65.05 to be denied access to a gym and then spending more money to send certified mail to Alpharetta, GA, from Houston, TX, doesn't seem appropriate or empathetic in this situation. All I’m seeking is a cancellation and a refund of $65.05

UPDATE on 12/04/2023:
The gym was all good based on my initial feedback. But i had to move to Texas and thought of transferring my membership but couldn't coz the PF gym was not close to my home. So I had to enroll to a different Gym. When i wanted to cancel the PF membership, they dont have an option to do it online neither the mobile app. When I called them, they still refused to do it and asked me to mail a written letter. WTH??? So I mailed the letter through USPS and this thing took almost a mo th to get delivered. Meanwhile I got charged for monthly membership fees until they received the letter. This is a horrible experience. Never seen this in any other gyms so far.
I had to reduce my rating from 5 starrs to 4 stars coz of this.

The gym is nice. However, there has been feces in the male shower (1st shower) for last 2 days. The staff there has also been notified about it & witnessed it. Members not adhering to cleanliness guidelines. Something should be done to prevent this as it’s very obnoxious!! Moreover, the knob of one of the shower is not properly fixed & throws water on the wall & needs to be replaced/fixed. It’s there for quite sometime now. One of the stool in the male changing room has a broken leg and nothing is being done for over a month. The gym admin should be testing such stuff regularly and should be proactive in dealing with them.

I have been a member for a month and tried about 5 times to get msnbc on tv , so i can watch. Sunday, yesterday when i arrived. I signed up classic membership($10) per month at Planet Fitness (PF). The PF location is very close to my home, but due to time constraints, I was unable to use the gym. After two months, I was charged an annual membership fee of $49. I went to the PF location to cancel my membership and request a refund, but they refused. The gym is large with a huge variety of machines, yet still spacious to where I don't feel cramped as I switch machines. The staff is awesome and extremely helpful. Everybody from the staff to the people exercising are respectful. Just an all around great place to exercise!

The gym in Milton GA was nice. There wasn't anyone at the counter for a few hours everyday I was there and wanted to purchase water. Other than that everything was great.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. They do a great job cleaning equipment and gym regularly. Currently a bit difficult to finish work-outs on strength training machines within an hour due to increase of memberships in Jan. I'm sure it will get back to normal by March/April.

Obviously, Planet Fitness is affordable. However I have been a member of many higher priced gyms over my life and Planet Fitness is just as nice or better. The gyn facility is very very clean-- the gym area, the locker room etc... all of it is very clean and well maintained. Rarely is a piece of equipment broken or not working correctly. The staff is very nice and constantly cleaning and maintaining the facility. As far as the quality of the equipment it is all "first rate" and exactly the same quality (or better) then higher priced gyms.

My favorite planet fitness to go to. It's my home location, and everybody is super nice there, even at the crack of dawn. Always friendly. Great, un-judgmental atmosphere.
