No bottle filler water fountain! Everyone leaves the regular water fountain faucet turned around, and not only does this get water everywhere, if you don’t notice, it sprays you. This is a slip and fall case waiting to happen

I am a long time PF member and while I am pleased with most of the services this gym provides; I ran across a traumatic and unpleasant experience today.

I was walking in the gym when suddenly someone shouted at me from behind saying, "Get out of my way!". I turned and it was a large built, around 6'4", 270lbs black gentleman who was passing me by. I walked up to him, apologized for being in his way, and stated that we do not have to be rude towards one another. He shouted at me to "go away", and when I refused, he put on his headphones and walked.

The staff members of this PF have always been very kind and professional. I reported to a staff member and was informed that similar complains were made to the same gentleman over the past weeks. I understand that the staff members (as well as other gym members) are, rightfully so, extremely intimidated by this gentleman, as he is a large muscular man with irritated behaviors, but I hope that Team PF and the owner will formulate a plan to remove the membership of this gentleman from this gym as per Team PF's commitment to foster a friendly, non-judgemental, and accepting place for all of us to exercise in.

I like the Planet Fitness in rincon but I love the one in Savannah off hwy 17. They have better beds for massages but the be more full. I’m going to start going to different PFs and find out which one is the best in the low country.

Never to crowded the only suggestion I would say it to upgrade the water fountains to accommodate water bottles instead of the older types that you have to lay your bottle to the side to fill. They could also use a filter for the water.

Issues I’ve observed in the 2 months I’ve been working out at this location:
1. People sitting on machines and scrolling through their phones. I witnessed 3 people doing this for 20-30 minutes in one hour alone. Management should really discuss a plan to combat this issue. Bonus if PF fixes the very popular machines that have been broken for a month now.

2. Last week there was a lady in the back weight room who took the sets of 10 and 15 lb dumbbells, as well as a barbell with weights on it, and placed them by her feet, never used them, and proceeded to scroll on her phone. This went on for at least 30 minutes.

3. Today I wanted to use massage chair 8 or 9 because they are on the side where the tv plays movies (chairs 10 and 11 on the other side plays game shows). I was told that chair 9 was out of service and chair 8 was in use. I get back there and it turns out that chair 8 was not in use, but an employee was sitting in it, WITH HER FEET UP ON THE CHAIR, eating lunch. Why not sit in the inoperable chair so that a member can use the one that works? Why put your shoes up on the chair where people sit? Not to mention that whatever she was eating could have triggered a food allergy for someone else if any of it got on the chair. I’m not knocking the girl for relaxing during her lunch break, but PF should provide a comfortable break lounge for its team members and until such time, team members should be more considerate.

4. This is the least of the issues but, if the hem of your “shorts” stops at your groin, those are not shorts, those are underwear. When you sit on a machine, those “shorts” expose more skin to bacteria and the seat is exposed to more sweat and bacteria. Perhaps add a “no underwear shorts” to the dress code.

Overall, the staff is friendly and the gym is relatively clean. I would recommend it over the other gyms in town.

Planet fitness gym in Rincon Georgia is my home gym. Though I have not been in this gym as much as I wanted to I recently returned to find an amazing layout updated equipment and it’s been amazing. The only wish I had is if they had two of those big fans for the size of this gym because When you’re on the treadmill that big fan makes a difference. All the staff are kind and helpful and I have no complaints. The gym is clean and I love the app to let me know how busy it is and of course the price is amazing.

02/03/2025 As my siblings and I walk into the gym around 10pm, I overhear and see a client make a racist comments towards my siblings and I. “ICE is going to get you” said the client who appeared to be a bald light skinned male. We were wearing AirPods so I am not sure if he thought we couldn’t hear him but we did. I was absolutely crushed and shocked at the fact that the employee didn’t speak up or say anything. On the contrary, he stood there and laughed with the racist guy. I ended up cancelling my membership and spoke up about the situation. I hope the gym and its team do something to make it a “no judgement zone” and make people actually feel welcomed at the gym.

This is a great gym for cardio people and beginners/intermediate! It was always clean, cheap, and I LOVE the free massage chairs. It’s easy to cancel if you don’t mind tell them in person. I had no issues here besides wanting barbells for squatting/dead lifting (which I understand- it’s not that type of gym).

Overall... decent gym. But... I have a few issues. Seems to be the same in ALL planet fitness locations I go to.

The common issue I have is.... people utilize the equipment for over an hour at times. Even when they are on the phone... having conversations. They hog up the machines so others can't use them.

Next... for this location... the wifi service has been out for well over a week. Maybe 2 weeks.... with technology advancements these days... why does this issue still exist ?

Does it really take almost a month to fix the internet service ?

This an update from my original post about 5 years ago. Something changed. I now have a VERY hard time accessing any app to listen to music because the signal is so AWFUL!! I even signed in to PF wifi and can probably get one or two songs to listen to before it start buffering. I have not enjoyed my workout the last couple of visits because of this. I even have a hard time opening the app and pulling up the bar code to sign in and sign in to other service. Music is motivation and allow you to transition from start up, a good workout and then slowing down. I can't do any of that anymore. I can't get with the background music that's being played.

I've had a black card membership for almost 5 years now and travel frequently so I rarely get to use my home (Rincon) Planter Fitness. After forgetting my water at home today I figured I'd just grab a bottle of water from the gym as I had $5 in my pocket. I was told that this place doesn't accept cash as a "covid" precaution? I might take that response more seriously if this place actually had covid precautions in place but in all the times I've worked out here I rarely see an employee actually take any covid precautions or even come out on to the floor to do some actual cleaning, you know, their JOB!.. I instantly cancelled my membership with the attitude ridden pompous employee and will never look back. In fact it's sparked my motivation to contact state representatives into passing laws here in Georgia that will protect the use of physical dollars at any establishment. If my American dollar is no good at your establishment, those tax breaks these corporations enjoy at the backs of hard working Americans must not continue! Soon the American dollar will be devalued because companies like this if there is no change.

Well I've been working out here for years and today I was told I couldn't bring my own jump rope in because of new management basically. I felt this was in poor taste since the fact I've worked out there many times and didn't disturb anyone or even had gotten in anyone's way while warming up. If you're going to implement new rules on the fly like that maybe put signage up like they've been doing in the past and not in the middle of my workout. They're really making it hard to keep a membership going when I was already going for the convenience of the location and not the equipment that was in there. Mind you it was me and one other person in the whole room and I was told that they didn't want anyone getting hit or me taking up too much space. I literally was in the corner and the other person had the whole entire room to themselves.

Rincon planet Fitness has very nice staff and they are friendly. I have been a member since it opened. Here are my requests. The 5 lbs dumb bells have been missing for at least a year. The Big clock on the wall has been broken for quite sometime. It would be wonderful if the clock wad fixed and the wights were replaced. Thank you

I've been to many gyms and this one has a lot of equipment which I like. But the over powering smell of dirty feet from the moment you walk in and the smell does not subside, it lingers the entire time your in the gym. I've never smelt this at other gyms. Not sure why it's so over powering, maybe my nose is super sensitive, but my friend smelled it too. Other gyms I've been to don't really have a bad odor. Perhaps this place needs a deep cleaning??

I worked in the industry for years and I know the only reason they make you come in or send a letter is to make it challenging for consumers to retain business. They said it’s policy to receive a signature to scan into the computer but when I offered them a PDF letter with my signature (which they wouldn’t need to scan) that was insufficient. Do yourself a favor and just don’t sign up here to begin with.
