I always go and never workout because I love this place so much. The tanning deal is what makes it the best. Trying to get more active for the holidays so maybe I'll take advantage of all the treadmills and elliptical machines. Great that it close and almost always open.

My experience with Planet Fitness customer service has been unacceptable. They show a clear disregard for user concerns, making it incredibly difficult to resolve issues. This is not just poor service, it feels like they are actively leaching money through unjustified fees and a process designed to make canceling or addressing billing errors virtually impossible. Of the 4 planet fitness locations I have been to, this location is the best. Not only is there more unique equipment here, but there is space to exercise unlike the cumming location. The spa feels elevated here compared to others and the machines feel better and more maintained. I couldn't recommend this location more!

The female on staff right now. The last time she was sleeping. This time she is combative at the front desk for me asking to leave my details behind the desk as opposed to personal details written on the counter. Maybe she's upset she's awake. The DM was here the last time I was here and was very nice as well as the staff on shift. It only takes one to screw up your team. I immediately felt uncomfortable the first time she was asleep. I thought she was a customer not on shift because I couldn't find anyone. Not doing this again. My fees pay for her salary and I'm not sure why.

I don't recommend that place at all , stay away of it , they have the worst management and disrespectful employees, especially that lady name is Candice, she is rude and has a nasty attitude, unprofessional, she didnt help me at all with my issues and she left me talking and waked away, she threatened me to deactivate my account because I insisted to get answers about my account issues , the other employee started laughing at me for no reason. She was very disrespectful , I am gonna cancel my pf black membership after the way how I treated.

I went to this planet fitness, because the one I go to was closed for renovation, and they told us we can go to this one, which actually is closer to where I live, but the guy who works there, I don't his name, but the only way to say who he was, he look like he was fro india, and my gym for squats will gladly and nicely will give you the pads to use for squats, but he rudely said, not nicely, no we don't have it, not even give me a chance to finish my sentence, thats why I go to the one that is further from me, because at least they know how to treat the client.

Planet fitness management,
I cancelled my pf black membership today because of Candice's attitude. Other than my encounters with Candice, I had a really good time at your facility. All the other staff are friendly and I enjoyed working out here. I brought a guest to workout with me today. After the workout my guest and I both wanted to use the spa. I approached the front desk to request access to the spa room. Candice sternly refused access saying that the guests are not allowed in the spa room. It might be your policy not to allow guests in the spa room and I don't have an issue with it. It's the rude way in which she told us that made us very uncomfortable. A lot of other gym members share this concern about her. She is making people unwelcome. She could have communicated the same thing in a friendlier manner. you are going to lose a lot more members if this situation doesn't change.

I wrote this long review explaining the issues with the manager at your facility and the owner's response is for me to reach out to the same person (club manager) to address the issue? How is that going to work? It is pretty obvious from your response that you don't care to address the issue. your response looks like a AI generated standard response. Anyways, there is nothing for me to resolve. I have already cancelled my membership.

New manager kicked me and 2 friends out bc we were on a machine at 8pm and since it was "too busy" we were "hogging" the machine (it hadn't even been 2 minutes), we had to leave. I pay to be here but can't use the machines???? Switching to a different location.

I am writing to formally express a concern regarding the behavior and conduct of one of your employees, Candice, at your facility. Over the past several visits, it has become increasingly difficult to enjoy a peaceful and productive workout due to her consistent pattern of disruptive and unprofessional behavior.
Candice has repeatedly displayed a rude and dismissive attitude toward members. Rather than fostering the welcoming and non-judgmental environment that Planet Fitness is known for, she has made many feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. On multiple occasions, she has interfered with people’s workouts unnecessarily, creating an atmosphere of stress and tension instead of support.
I am not alone in this experience. Several other members have voiced similar concerns, and there seems to be a growing consensus that her presence is negatively affecting the gym environment. Many have noted that she consistently acts in a way that makes it difficult for anyone to focus or feel at ease during their workouts.
We understand that managing a fitness facility can be challenging, but respectful and courteous staff are essential to maintaining the positive atmosphere that Planet Fitness promises. I hope you will take these concerns seriously and look into the matter with urgency.

This place would get a five stars, but the managers need to stop ringing the lunk alarm. Destroys everyone's focus and is the one negative stain that planet fitness has – the lunk alarm will literally cause people to go to other gyms. Within Gen Z it's very hated upon and will cause people to cancel membership.
The managers also need to lighten up, the crew in the purple shirts have a lot better attitude and friendliness than the managers.
I've only gotten to know one crew member by name, Patrick, and that should be the standard that everyone else is held to!
Outside of that, all equipment is very clean, gym itself is very clean, bathrooms are maintained nicely, the black card membership spa is maintained nicely (having a bit of an AC problem this week however), and I'd recommend people go to this gym (but only interact with the purple or yellow shirt crew members).

I've been a member of the gym for two months. All staff members are great, but the assistant manager Candice. She treats the employee without respect, especially one of them, the guy with the glasses, i don't know his name. It's upsetting to see them not being treated with respect. I hope management takes feedback seriously and works on creating a more supportive environment for their team.

I joined recently with a friend.
The employees we met were super friendly and we had zero issues since we started going about a month ago.
Then a new manager came in - Candice. At first we noticed that she treats the people beneath her in a strange way- constantly going around the club, trying to find a spot with dust, telling them to go clean, even when the club is full of people, at 5 pm, a real overachiever! We talked to the people at the front desk and they all complained from her. We can clearly see that she is after one of them, an older and very nice person, it feels like she is trying to find a reason to fire him!
All of this while she sits at the front desk doing nothing!
What happened to giving yourself as an example, or are you not actually there to do any work? I am sure that if the roles were reversed, she would be complaining of discrimination!
Today she comes to me saying that I cannot have my bag with me where I keep my water bottle and towel! Where else am I supposed to keep them, on the floor? I believe it is more hygienic to keep my sweaty towel in a bag, I would not want to be near other people's towels. She wants me to put it in a locker, even though I am never leaving my small bag on the floor. This is not a gym bag or Backpack, this is a small purse that stays on the machine hook ( supposedly installed on the machine for that purpose).
This is how little work this person has- nothing else to do, but picking up an argument about my bag and not doing anything about all people keeping water bottles on the floor.
An attitude like this ruins the mood and experience!
Is this an overachiever who wakes up in the morning to make other people's lives miserable or just a discriminative practice to select customers of a specific race to attend the gym and push everyone else out??

Discrimination and Unjust Termination of Membership at Suwanee Location
To Planet Fitness Leadership,
I am a loyal Black Card member of Planet Fitness who was recently subjected to discrimination and had my membership unjustly terminated by the Suwanee location’s manager, Steph, and staff member Amir/or Ameer. (The two individuals didn’t wear name tags and refused to say their names, but they were verified shortly after the incident).
On Jun 17, 2025, after completing my workout, I attempted to use the Black Card amenities I am entitled to. I had followed all required procedures and paid for the necessary supplies. However, I was denied access without explanation, and what followed was not only unfair, it felt personal and discriminatory.
When I asked, “Can I PLEASE use the amenities?”, Steph accused me of being “disrespectful”, even though I remained cooperative the entire time. Both Steph and Amir made me stand at the front desk for over 15 minutes, deliberately refusing to give me access to the available amenities. No other members were using the area, and there was no operational reason for the delay. Their refusal to let me proceed appeared to be an intentional act of control and intimidation.
When I repeated my request, Steph abruptly told me to leave the facility and threatened to call the police if I didn’t comply. I was not allowed to retrieve my personal belongings from the locker room. A few minutes later, Amir informed me that I was banned from all Planet Fitness locations, without offering any justification or documentation. I was treated like a threat for simply asking to use the services I pay for as part of my membership.
Even more troubling, Steph claimed he canceled my membership on the spot, but 2 days later Planet Fitness processed the regular monthly charge. This shows a clear lack of communication and accountability and adds insult to injury.
After this incident, I spoke with the managers from the Duluth Planet Fitness, Milton, and Cumming locations to get clarity and raise my concerns. Each manager expressed concern over how I was treated. One even stated, “This person is a shame to our organization, we hope they get rid of him soon”. It was clear that other leaders within the Planet Fitness company recognized the inappropriateness of what occurred.
This experience - especially the sudden and unjust cancellation of my membership after raising a basic concern - strongly indicates discriminatory behavior and an abuse of authority. I have always followed gym rules and previously had only positive experiences at this location.
P.S. To all women from different cultures, backgrounds, and ethnicities - what Steph and Amir did to me does not reflect the philosophy or mission of the Planet Fitness family. You have rights. Planet Fitness stands for inclusion and respect, and no member should be subjected to judgment or unfair treatment. Please don’t allow yourselves to be silenced by Steph and Amir’s bias or misuse of power.

Member at Cumming. Visited two sites in other states this month. This is the finest facility of all and I highly recommend. It is clean, especially the locker room. The machines are new and appear to all be working and the televisions all appear to work. The exercise and weights are well organized. Well staffed.

This is my favorite PF around by far but someone stole my jacket which is really annoying and there seriously needs to be a ban on people spraying fragrances in the locker room!! Most people are very sensitive/allergic to fragrance, including myself. I shouldn’t have to hold my breath for dear life while using the bathroom because someone sprayed the worst scent ever (idc if it’s good or bad. It’s toxic) and couldn’t wait until they leave out of respect for the havoc that wreaks on EVERYONES health! Just because you’re not aware of what it does to every humans body, doesn’t mean those of us who are and immediately feel the effects should have to suffer for it. Anyways, besides these things, good gym lol

As summer begins there’s an influx of children who use the space as a hangout spot. I politely asked the guy at the front desk who wears a green mask if he could ask people to not just sit on machines but utilize them. He said verbatim “there’s nothing I can do about that” with a baffled look. There wasn’t a bit of concern or hospitality. I use this gym way too often to get such response. Not happy at all.

Wanted to give 0 stars. Absolutely terrible experience to cancel my membership as it took close to 2 months to cancel. I went in-person to cancel during week day, the guy on the front desk ask his Supervisor to take care. The guy told me my account was not in sync and will get my account canceled the next day. I was told billing would have to stopped by the 10th of the month and not the 17th it shows up on your credit card.
Next month, I was billed again. I called the gym the guy took down my info and said he will pass it on to the morning shift person. Suspicious I called after a week to check if my account was canceled. The new guy said I need to come in-person to cancel. I told I already over paid. He said can't get refund and brought his Manager. The guy said my account was not in sync and there was no cancellation notes. He said he will call after a couple of hours after I got angry with the guy. Finally, got my membership cancelled. The guy never apologized for their mistakes.

Had a terrible experience today. A personal trainer was 'blocking off' machines for her 'customer' for 'paid sessions'. She was extremely rude! Told staff, they promised to take action.
This clearly violates planet fitness policy of not allowing personal trainers!
I will take my rating back to 5 stars if the staff actually act on this!!

I have to say that Francois that is there every morning is an amazing young man. He is very very polite, sweet, kind. He is ALWAYS working ALWAYS. I have never seen him in his cell phone seating there like most of employees does. He is always cleaning doors, cleaning equipments and mopping. I have not seen any other employees doing it. He is the one you want in your company. God bless him.

Absolutely horrible business practices. I cancelled my membership in July 23 but have been charged every month since despite multiple in-person visits, calls and disputes. I was told by the gym manager that my account is "not showing up in the system" and that I should not be charged anymore when I asked for documentation, only for this to continue.
I would never recommend this gym to anyone - multiple people around the US have had the same issue, it should not be this difficult for so many people to cancel memberships.
They will tell you to email social at Planet Fitness but even upon emailing there, they told that there’s nothing they can do and I should talk to the gym manager who I’ve already reached out to multiple times

Unresolved Billing Issues
I've been dealing with ongoing billing problems at this gym. Even after canceling, they keep charging me. It's been a frustrating experience, and getting it sorted has been a headache. The response of the manager was that I needed to dispute this charges with my bank because they couldn’t check through their system. So disappointed that they didn’t want to refund me my money.

It's really a great value. Nice facility with recent equipment. Great staff and a friendly and accepting environment for people in all stages of their fitness journey.
Having been a member for several months, I have to say the facilities and equipment are kept in good condition.
One pet peeve is no paper towels by the locker room sinks. Everyone has to walk over to the hand dyers, dripping water all over. There is rarely a dry spot on the sink counters. It would be good to have paper towels. Should be an option.

This place offers a tremendous deal. It has a vast selection of high quality exercise equipment. Its operating hours are extensive. The staff is friendly. The only negative is that their Wi-Fi usually doesn't allow devices to connect, which they said is a known issue that they don't know how to correct.

I like this gym because of the location, newer equipment, and also the space is very large. Enough space for anyone to do their own thing and it’s also very clean! My only issue is this place is run down by teenagers. The 3 guys that mainly work up front are always cleaning or doing something! Unfortunately, the girls that work there are either new or they just don’t care. It seems like they brought their guy friends or something because they weren’t wearing the proper uniform and the girls were letting them go back and forth to the “spa” area. They kept knocking on the door every 6 mins or so which interrupted the “spa” treatment. It’s very annoying which led to me asking if they work here or not to which they both said no. The girls up front didn’t care but if you ask them a question they will stop their conversation with each other and help you out.

Decent, but Carlos the on-site manager nor the area manager can be bothered to respond to email or call members regarding equipment requests after multiple follow ups. It shouldn’t be this difficult to show some basic care for customer service.

I love this gym. It is super spacious, the equipment is clean and in great operation. The staff is kind and helpful when I’m there. At other gyms I feel as though other people are looking me while I workout, but here at PF that is not the case at all. Its also super close to my home. I LOVE it. 🔥

This is a great facility and the vibes are great! Very clean and tons of cardio equipment (much more than necessary).
Only downside is that there aren’t any barbells or squat racks, only 4 Smith machines.
My favorite part was the absence of crowds. I’ve been to other gyms in Johns Creek and this one is by far the least crowded which is really nice. There are also cleaning stations around the gym to wipe off your equipment.

We are from out of town so 1st time at this location. Everything is brand new so everything was neat & clean. Took a couple classes with the trainer, Sam. He was great & knowledgeable. Will definitely go back every time we're in town. Aug/2022....still great. Also have to give kudos to Carlos, the manager, & his team. Excellent job!

Planet fitness has a certain reputation for being a gym for people who despise gyms, and it certainly lives up to that reputation. While there are some friendly amenities, it lacks even basic equipment like a squat rack, bench press, deadlift bar, and even crucial dumbbell weights as they increase in 5 lb increments versus 2.5 lb increments which was a definite shock to me.
While it's a great gym for run of the mill "I swear I'll actually follow my new years resolution this time" people, those who are serious about growing muscle and getting fit should not go to this gym. There is absolutely zero gym culture and simply not enough good equipment there to accomplish your goals of a nice physique.
Despite all this, 10 dollars a month is unbeatable and a lot of the problems I have talked about can be mostly forgiven at that price. Just don't get the black card membership, that is a certain ripoff for what you get.

Happy to have a PF near my home. But I’ll have to say for a new gym I’m not impressed. The machines are already looking dirty. Most of the staff just stands behind the counter. Members are disrespectful not wiping down equipment, young people bringing their gym bags and shoes onto the gym floor, bathroom seems to not be wiped down regularly. I get it. New gym, new staff, but honestly I know you guys can do better. It’s a judgment free zone, I’ve minded by business to see if it would improve but it hasn’t. It’s getting worse. Please encourage your staff to patrols the gym and call out people that have no gym etiquette while carrying around a duster and a cleaning rag. I’ll change my rating upon seeing improvement.

What a wast of money and effort I went to get info about joining the African American guy behind the counter didn’t even have the courtesy to Stan up and talk to me he told me to walk around and he was doing absolutely nothing when I was done looking same thing he stayed setting would not even Stan up to see if I had any questions if this gym doesn’t find new professional staff very soon will not get any members to break even and I know these days it is hard to find good help good luck !

I love this planet fitness! Only about a 15 minutes jog from my house, so I can get in my strength training and cardio. Also they are offering a free gym pass to teens this summer! Great place.

I went to join, was willing to pay with my credit card and they insisted on obtaining my checking account information. There is no reason they need that information and as a IT Professional I refuse to give this information to anyone. I told them I am willing to pay monthly or yearly on my credit card, but I refuse to give them my checking account information. They were rude and said I had to comply so I left. As an IT professional I will not give up sensitive information that cannot be easily altered if the info is compromised. I would never give my checking information to a company like this and I suggest you don't either.
Note: If they change their policy I would reconsider becoming a member.

Brand new, beautiful gym that has potential to go downhill very quickly because of the staff. I agree with the previous reviewer that the staff has zero customer first approach. Awful attitude (especially Criss - he was there in the evenings). When I came in, no greeting and just felt like he hated being there. I asked a few questions about the PF classes and he had an attitude from get go and felt like I was bothering him with questions. I guess he hates customers. I let it go. As a black card holder, came with a guest. My guest and I worked out and decided to go to hydro massage. The person before Criss allowed us in. After hydro massage (10 min) later, I ask for the massage chairs to be turned on and low and behold, our friend Criss tells me I can allow you, not your guest. Ok I was previously allowed on prior visits and literally was allowed in 10 minutes prior but now in 10 min, the gym was “busy” per his count so he can’t “allow your friend”. This whole experience left a sour taste and I may consider changing my gym or just downgrade to basic membership. Hire people that want to be there or train them to have customer first attitude.
