They lie about giving refunds, rules, and what people say about you. They still owe me $225.

They kicked me out of a class with the excuse that my teammates said I wasn’t collaborating. The whole reason I joined the class was to collaborate, so I was confused. I messaged my teammates and they assured me they liked having me in their group and even wanted to argue with Erin and Angela to put me back in their group. I didn’t want to argue to get back in. I just wanted to know the real reason.

My best guess is that I hurt a teacher’s feelings because she had never heard of blues dancing and thought I meant to say “bluegrass”. I tried to explain blues music/dancing and that it’s very different from bluegrass. I probably did a bad job. I didn’t think my life depended on it, honestly.

Then Angela asked me after class if I do blues or bluegrass dancing, and I repeated “blues”. She made a face and two days later she and Erin called to kick me out. I didn’t really like the class anyway so I was fine with taking a refund; I just wanted to know the truth. Then they revoked my entire membership because I asked a few people if they knew something I didn’t about why they really kicked me out. The few people I asked told me that Angela and Erin are power hungry narcissists, and one gave me a story about having to quit working for them because they’re so toxic, but she still enjoys the classes so long as she never sees Angela. I stayed friends with a few people after getting kicked out, so I know they’re just lying again about the situation. The front desk girl told me the comment box never gets anything in it. As far as I know, the only student who talked to them was the one who wanted me back in class and apparently she was fighting on my behalf without telling me until after the fact. I told her about these texts and she admitted she’s the one who talked to them but it was to get me back in, not that I was harassing her. What a mess. I loved the studio and went 6 days a week for a year until that happened.

I'm beginning my second year with the ladies of PoleLaTeaz and I couldn't be happier. I adore all of the instructors and they offer a variety of classes that keeps me interested. I've started cross training on all of the apparatuses offered and I've seen great leaps in my abilities over the last year. I'm looking forward to another year.

I love-love-love this studio. Everyone is so welcoming, helpful, friendly and supportive!!! When I first started I was so intimidated and uncomfortable because I was always in my head, but the instructors are encouraging and take the time to walk you through the choreography, tricks and transitions. If you’re looking for something that will get you in shape while having fun, look no further. This is the place!

I'm not big on doing normal workouts, but this right here is my type of workout. They make it really fun while you're learning new moves and tricks. Even my muscle increased while having fun. With just a month and a half, I made a lot of progress. I definitely recommend it.

Been a member for a few months now and really enjoying it. I like that I can train multiple apparatuses in the same place, while also being able to do straight conditioning classes. The environment is very supportive, the instructors are knowledgeable, and there are a variety of classes. There's also workshops and themed classes. Highly recommend.

Love this studio and the classes! Very encouraging staff and the classes are not only empowering and fun, it’s such a unique way to get in exercise, especially for creatives who get bored with the regular gym. Can’t wait to be flying high on a hoop or silk one day!

I enjoyed the drop in classes so much, I became a member. Not only are the instructors encouraging, they also are very caring and considerate of each person's goals. I've noticed how they take the time to modify movements that fit your needs and expectations and are willing to work one on one with those who desire it. Great place to build new friendships with other women who are motivated towards physical fitness and enjoy aerial aerobics.

I absolutely love the classes here, I’m usually a pole girl but I tried the aerial silks the last time I went for the first time in the 23rd of Nov. Racheal was the instructor and she was pretty rude. After the first trick, my friend needed her to demonstrate again and she tells this grown woman, “ Looks like we have an attention problem”. Second, though it was my first time, I am very flexible and good at many hobbies. As I was doing the tricks very well and using my flexibility at the same time, other than saying good job like she did to the other white participants, she said “ It’s not about being flexible, it’s about technique.” Though there was no critique on my technique, just me exceeding expectations. My friend who struggled didn’t even feel comfortable asking for help after the second time of her seeming annoyed that she is asking for help seeing as though it was her first time, and Racheal the teaching the class. Another moment that stuck out, I knew it was not a dance class, however, I asked “ Can you play some sexy music like partynextdoor.” She responds with “sure but for more raunchy music, there are dance classes next door that you could do those dances on the floor.” On top of that, she never did play any sexy songs, at the end she played diva by Beyoncé. Which I believe was for me because she played punk rock music throughout the class. Im not the type to pull the “ race card” but it was too many coincidences in less than a hour time frame. I think it was very odd that most to all her compliments went to the white participants in the front who was struggling as well, while giving little to no motivation and praises to the black participants in the back ( I do not think the placement was racially motivated). I came in there very confident and excited to attend this class, and I am very humble and transparent when I say this, I was the best and fast learning participant, and I didn’t hear any good words at all, it felt like a bit of jealousy or maybe something else. Either way it was unprofessional on her part, and I hope she does not behave like that in every class. I do appreciate the program very much and I will be sure to pick a different instructor, I don’t care about race, but professionalism especially when you are teaching others.

I love this studio, instructors, and students sooo much! Its such an uplifting environment with a clean facility and amazing team. There is too much talent to name individually, but recently I've been obsessed with Finesse and London's classes. Instructors like Quiet Storm and Nurse Sinn are supportive and invested in their students as well. After reading some of the reviews, I strongly advise new dancers to focus on enjoying and embracing the moment. After all, that is the beauty of dancing. With that being said, I am so excited to take more series here! Keep up the great work ladies!

ETA: Please note management’s continued horrible attitude toward reviewers, as opposed to fixing their broken business practices. Zero stars.

Yikes, where to begin. Bad business practices, poor treatment of people, and little care given for clients’ opinions. Management only seem to care about the business’s reputation as opposed to client input and satisfaction. If you’re looking for high quality customer service, don’t bother with PoleLaTeaz. (Also: terrible name for a business, of course people will confuse it for Pilates.)

I hate to leave this review however the poor customer service should be noted.
I contacted this studio from the recommendation of a friend.
When I first asked about their classes they offered a drop in price vs “ 3 week unlimited class” for 99 dollars which I now found out is their standard introductory package.
Took my first class the same day which as a pole class with a welcoming instructor and other class members. I was informed that one of the class members paid 14 dollars for their “2 week unlimited class”. When I inquired about this the respond was this offer is limited.
The next day I see the offer on Facebook and instagram ( obviously targeted ads). When I ask if I can purchase and be reimbursed she says no it tile when the price changes on delta. I inform her that I decided to come back two days later to take a class on my birthday. Delta has customer service with the goals to retain customers rather than predatory marketing.
Ask for the owner who is out of town…. She is the manager and basically in an argumentative fashion said if good luck with your fitness journey. No contact for the owner or cancellation policy. Plan to report to my CC company and the BBB.

Update:
The company did not refund money for the class not used and responded that they would be blocking me. This is not a company you want to do business with.

Very welcoming pole studio that offers a variety of other classes and some activited for kids too! Super welcoming and one of the few studios that offer drop in pole classes and don't require you to do a series. I've only did the sensual class and the instructor is very nice and takes the time to break down the movies. Great music selection and the opportunity to record yourself at the end of class. Enough poles to share. Good way to get a good workout on!

I wasn’t sure what to say here, so I’ll start by listing all of the things PoleLa Teaz has given me in the past 5 months I’ve been coming here.
1. Self confidence. I feel like a completely new woman who has really grown in my sensuality and expression of self. That confidence has carried over into every avenue of my life, including relationships and work.
2. Athleticism. Over the past few months I have not only lost weight, but gained a significant amount of strength as well.
3. Flexibility. With this newfound strength and flexibility I have noticed a lack of pain that used to be consistent before (lower back pain, shoulder tension, neck aches, etc)
4. Community of like-minded women. The list of friends and “pole sisters” goes on and is continuing to grow. Some of the friends I have made through the studio have become close women I can rely on and am constantly inspired by.

I cannot recommend this studio enough!!!
The women who run PoleLa Teaz are beyond kind and motivate me to become a better dancer and performer every day. There is an abundance of knowledgeable instructors who make every week here feel new and exciting. Highly recommend! 10/10

PoleLaTeaz was such a fun experience! We booked a bachelorette party (group experience- VIP package). The instructor was so sweet and down to earth - made all of us feel super comfortable on stage. You get to pick the music, the ambience was absolutely gorgeous. The guest of honor even teared up when she walked in because it was just so awesome. Once the class was over, all of us want to sign up for monthly classes. This is definitely worth the money. We also paid for the hundred dollar paparazzi package and we got a ton of photos for the cost. Definitely worth it. I would come back again and again!!!!

You just repeated everything I already said 😂 but thank you for giving an example of your own egotistical demeanor.
First and foremost, let us not confuse screaming and yelling with self advocacy. I was in my truck, driving with the phone hooked up to Bluetooth, so of course my voice is going to carry in a compact vehicle.
Secondly, I do not need a daycare service, I was ALWAYS there meaning no one else was responsible for her but myself. However, if children are not allowed then why did the instructor bring her child to accompany mine?? And I didn’t bring my daughter it is because I was given PERMISSION to do so. Is that the emergency purposes you’re speaking on?
And I can prove it.
Next, I didn’t argue with the receptionist, she let me know what was what at the beginning of class, I left out with my daughter and asked her if she could show me that policy. Anna told me she would print it out, she returned with nothing in hand, so I took it upon myself to look it up. Then, I showed her the policy, as I already stated (check images). She said she was just the messenger, and I asked to speak with management, followed by, asking if she could call back cause she just got off the phone with management. After, I was denied that, I asked when will they be back she said 1pm I said ok and exited with my child. Soon after, 15 minutes go by and I received a call from management. By the way the receptionist never made the daycare comment, YOU just did in your response to my review
😮‍💨👌🏾
Lastly, Sherl when I called the next day off bat you were rude, unprofessional, and out of line. I asked to speak with who I spoke with the day before because like I said you were rude about something you had no clue about, so you say. However, I repeatedly explained to you what YOUR team said to me and what YOUR team allowed. I didn’t have to sneak her in she was seen every time either by receptionist or an instructor. You reacted defensively and was not trying to hear what was going on in order to even
understand let alone figure out if it was a misunderstanding or if your team is not doing their jobs. I had to keep telling you how unprofessional you were being on the phone, you retaliated by revoking my membership and are doing the same now. I said nothing false and did not make any assumptions. This is and was my experience with PoleLaTeaz.

In our society today, most women can only dream of celebrating the fullness of who they are: sexy, beautiful, strong, fierce, flexible, adaptable, creative GODDESSES. At PoleLaTeaz, the fantasy meets reality making for an exceptional experience of empowerment!!! I participated in an open house event and was extremely impressed with the skill, technique, knowledge, and energy that the instructors so easily shared with students! PoleLaTeaz has so much more to offer than “just being sexy” there is information, accountability, opportunity, understanding , loving correction, and for lack of better words—vibes. The instructors are dignified, admired, and respected, yet they hold space for so many women and students. I am so excited to have visited, I plan to bring others as soon as they are ready to meet their upgraded alter ego in the mirror!!!

Updating my review, but only to add more detail - still a solid five stars! I'm working to get back in to lyra and pole and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend Erin and Angela, but all of the instructors are dedicated and professional. As a teacher, you get a sense for who teaches out of passion and enjoys seeing their students thrive. It was a big change to not only move, but come out of the pandemic out of practice and let's be real - out of shape! The front desk staff, instructors, and students, are encouraging and supportive. If you've hesitated coming because you think you aren't strong enough, that you'll be feel judged about your body or fitness level, that this type of workout is only for a certain age group, etc. please don't let that hold you back! I'm 40, starting with the basics again, introverted, and building my strength and stamina. Every week I look forward to my pole series. I promise you'll see growth and feel more confident each time. I definitely see why Poleateaz came highly recommended by my former studio.

I absolutely love my instructor! But it’s difficult to remain a positive attitude when I don’t get service here and I have to call an Uber and they don’t provide Wi-Fi. I love the class but it’s hard to call this studio my new home for those lack of accommodations.

Reply: I’m not sure why it won’t allow me to reply but that alternative to use the iPad was never offered to me. It was more of an “oh well”. So instead I walked about half a mile at night every week to finally find some service until my boyfriend just gave me the money that I paid for the class and told me to stop attending altogether since he’s at work during that time. It’s still strange to me that I committed to another dance studio and they had be the ability to offer Wi-Fi to simply call an Uber. But I get it though. It’s all business at the end of the day. I just thought it would be a suggestion to offer some temporary Wi-Fi since you’re aware that many people find trouble with their internet connection in the hat specific area. Also, setting up my Uber before I get there can be a bit tricky because there’s been times when my Uber driver changed from when I originally set the appointment and it’s difficult to spot out your new driver when the app won’t even load. But thank you for taking the time to respond.

The studio is in a somewhat obnoxious spot, so pay attention to where you're supposed to turn!
The studio has a nice lounge, with apparel for purchase and rental shoes for pole. The Lyra room and sky barre room are well stocked and spacious. Expect to hear the sounds of the next door room, but it's not too distracting.
I liked that they don't allow outside shoes in the studio space and how welcoming the whole experience was.

Great diverse all female dance studio that has classes tailored to students of ALL levels of dance experience/skill. Think body friendly, fun, sexy work outs!

Update: The studio's prices recently increased making it a splurge to regularly dance here but ultimately, the additional expense hasn't dissuaded me from coming here several days a week.

It feels great to consistently practice and experience results alongside other women doing the same. Each woman is on her own dance journey; we support one another.

This studio is not safe for trans women. A dear friend was misgendered on the phone by the receptionist because the receptionist thought she “sounded like a man.” Then, the receptionist said that she was unsure if my friend would be welcome as a trans woman, and that she would have to check with management. Angela, the manager/owner, called us back to discuss the situation.

Angela made it clear on the phone that she has staff and clients who are not comfortable sharing space with trans women. Angela said that she personally has no “issue” with trans women, but that she does not feel comfortable expecting people in her business treat trans women with dignity. She characterized the transphobia of her staff as their own opinions, which she feels a responsibility to respect. She made it clear that she prioritizes the feelings of her transphobic staff and clientele over the safety of trans women in her business.

Further, she was very upset that we left a one-star review following the initial transphobic interaction with her receptionist. Angela focused extensively during our conversation on the potential harm to her business rather than centering the harm caused by her untrained staff to a trans woman attempting to patronize her studio. Her tone throughout the conversation was defensive and unapologetic during a call that was an opportunity for reconciliation and care.

If you care about the dignity of trans women, I strongly urge you to find a studio that is willing to do the bare minimum — to train employees and expect tolerance from anyone in their space. My mother owned a women-only fitness center for two decades, so I have long been intimately aware of the challenges presented to businesses of this sort. I would be appalled if my mother or her staff ever responded to a potential client the way Angela and her staff did today.

I love this place. It is very welcoming! I’ve been taking pole dancing classes here for about a year now. Instructors are not just pole dancers, they really are very well trained to teach how to pole dance.

Who should take classes here? Literally anyone, I’ve seen all body shapes, all ages, all genders and people with a lot to no dance experience. Everyone can do it at this place.

For those in doubt, just take an intro class of your choice and give it a try, it’s only $20, I promise you won’t regret it.

Also, they have their own app which makes it very easy to book a class, see the schedule and who will be the instructor. Catalyst, SubXero and Indigo are my personal favorites.

I called today, June 9th a little after 6:30pm and I found the “little girl” who answered the phone really rude. I think her name was Bon-Qui Qui! This is something I have really wanting to invest in, and I felt draw to this establishment. However, I will not put my money here. I don’t tolerate smart a** mouths not for one second. Stank attitude for no reason. I asked her a question as I’m not sure exactly what’s needed to start. RUDE AF! I will invest my hard earned money in a company that employs workers with good attitudes and that appreciate their jobs.
Unfortunately, I called previously and the lady that answered the phone was really sweet and helpful. I believe her name was Aaliyah! I just couldn’t start immediately since I train with a trainer three times a week and my entire body gets really sore. I was ready to start this weekend, but this nasty behemoth did it for me. There are several pole establishments in Ga. I don’t need this one to accomplish what I desire. Nasty behemoth!

Spoke to Cheryl 🍒 today she was so nice, patience and very informative. She is the same in person and over the phone. I love this place because of her. Don't be afraid ladies... they make you feel welcomed.

Overall myself and my guest loved my two hour party. It was super fun and the music was great. The only part I did not care for was the badgering for tips by the front desk receptionist. We brought enough cash for the final payment since only the deposit could be made online. In the past, classes I've previously been to, be it a fitness class or a dance class, there was never such an emphasis placed on receiving a tip since it was a paid class. I discovered from my guest that prior to me exiting the aerial silks room (I was the last one), that the receptionist made it her business to continuously mention the tip to them and then proceeded to inquire about a tip once I approached the desk. I did ask the receptionist if she had the instructors' cashapps, paypal, or zelle information available to tip electronically, and unfortunately she did not. I personally just think the badgering was distasteful, especially when we paid good money for the party itself.

I’ve had a great experience at Polelateaz since I started taking classes 18 months ago! There is a great variety of classes to try, and the instructors are so friendly and knowledgeable. Even in drop-in classes, the instructors give you individual attention to help you improve. I have fallen in love with Lyra and I’m working my way through the leveled series. I also like that there are several membership packages to choose from which was helpful when I used to travel extensively (pre-COVID) for work. As a chronically late person, I did have to get used to the late policy (not permitted to attend class if 10 minutes late) but this policy is very clearly stated when you sign up for classes so I make sure to get there on time or early. I highly recommend this studio for dance and exercise!

My friends & I had the absolute BEST time for my birthday! Their website is very easy to navigate, it is thoroughly detailed with descriptions & prices! Lots of different styles, classes, & just about anything to fit into a good fun time!! All of the communication was great, the emails with all the info to share with my guests & the phone call was great! The studio was very nice, the lighting, the poles the sound was awesome! Everything to make you feel like your alter Ego! Our instructor Milan was just a sweetheart & did her best with the ones who just couldn’t get it right LOL!! Our hour was filled with a whole lot of laughs & learning new things!! I was so very happy for my day & my guests had a wonderful time too! The only recommendation/suggestion I would give is that you follow the directions on their site & that they provide, not the GPS! Other than that THE BEST!!! I’m definitely going back!!

Whether you want to learn to pole dance or get in touch with your sensual side Polelateaz has it all! The instructors break down the moves and they have open sessions so you can practice individually. So far I’ve taken pole series at Polelateaz and a silk (aerial yoga) series at their sister studio Sky Barre. I love that I have a fun and creative way to stay active!

Let me start out by saying Indigo is a great instructor. This review is in no way a reflection on her.

However, due to Polelateaz’s poor management, I will never give them another dime. I was in two level classes at the Alpharetta studio where I’d been taking classes for just over a year, spending roughly $2,500 with them in this time (I counted).

They made the decision to shut down the Alpharetta studio at the same time they excitedly announced the opening of the Atlanta studio post pandemic. The news about Alpharetta was buried about 10 bullet points down. They didn’t call or email those of us in levels at Alpharetta. Only an email to the “members” who pay them $150/mo. A couple friends in my Lyra class emailed and asked if we could finish our Lyra level in Atlanta, even though we couldn’t attend regularly. The response was just an impersonal refund email. They made zero attempt to try to even keep our business, or even attempt an ounce of consideration.

While they refunded the cost of the levels, they refused on 4 out of 5 drop ins I thought were remaining on my five class pass. I purchased it in December and did not see any expiration date advertised. They said it expired a month and a half after I purchased it. I wouldn’t have purchased a 30, 45, or even 90 days expiration class card. If I knew I did, I would have made sure to find some way to use them instead of wasting $60. The reason I purchased it was because there was a period that extended many months in which hardly any drop ins were offered at the Alpharetta studio. I realized I was wasting money on the $80/mo ISIS unlimited drop in membership and getting a max of 2 drop ins a month. Since I knew I would be using them over time, there’s no way I would have purchased it if the expiration date were clearly advertised (instead of just buried in the emailed receipt that no one opens). This is deceptive.

While I understand it’s a difficult time for businesses and closing the studio was a business decision, I am extremely disappointed in how the management handled this. Further, they may not have had to close the Alpharetta studio if they had maintained it. As previously mentioned, I wasted money due lack of classes, which surely impacted their ability to attract any new students. They also didn’t repair a broken bathroom for several months (they only had two available), ran out of alcohol to clean poles, had a leaking ceiling, had a broken heater in the middle of the winter for a couple weeks (causing us to freeze and later miss classes), and frequently didn’t have a key available causing class cancellations. They talk about how they love their students, but to me, it feels a lot like when they realize they probably won’t be able to get much, or any, more money out of someone, they don’t give a sh**.

"Magnet" did a great lesson for us first timers and made sure we had a lot of fun!
The only thing was that we hit a ton of traffic due to president being in town and the person at the front desk was pretty rude stating "this will cut into your scheduled time" making the experience slightly less enjoyable but overall it was good.
