I wouldn’t recommend PPF Athletics based on my experience:
I signed up for a 12-month plan, but had to stop within the first month due to a severe back injury(happened because of unmonitored deadlifts) — something the owner was aware of well in advance. Despite not using the gym for the remaining 11 months, I was refused a refund. I made genuine efforts to work it out, but unfortunately, those were met with resistance and what felt like deliberate sabotage. It’s disheartening to see a business profit off someone’s pain rather than do the honorable thing.
Adding to that, it's not uncommon to find group classes canceled or missing a coach altogether. So be prepared for a lack of consistency.
Also, don’t be misled by so-called "discounted" rates for 6- or 12-month plans. They’re a small business — you can negotiate a monthly rate without being pressured into a long-term commitment.
Lastly, I paid for personal training with Richard for my daughter. Not a single session was conducted by him directly. Instead, she was placed in group sessions with one of his coaches. I essentially paid a premium for personal training that never happened — when I could’ve just signed up for group classes and saved money.
Overall, my experience was disappointing — both in terms of service and integrity.

I have working out for many years including at CrossFit gyms and I can tell you that is the best place to do a great rigorous workout. The trainers are excellent especially Richard Camp who is the owner. Richard emphasizes good form meeting you where you are in terms of what you are able to do with strength training and endurance. There is a program each day designed to challenge you. Richard does great job with motivation and encouragement! If you are looking to work out with a good community of people that want to improve their fitness and be challenged, then PPF Athletics is the place for you! Go give it a try! I have been here for six months and I am in the best physical shape thanks to the great team at PPF Athletics! Thank you Richard!

Good place for young athletes. My son has been training with Coach Wayne in PPF for 2-3 months, and the difference is notable! Coach Wayne is excellent with kids and, at the same time, pushes kids to achieve more. I can see a positive change in my son's physique and confidence.
Coach Richard, the owner, is an excellent motivator for athletes, but we didn't get to work with him as he focuses on senior athletes.

Absolutely enjoyed working with the trainers here and the fellow people are nice.
But, some of their policies can be better. You cannot pause your membership at any time. This is something that most of the gyms allow. So, if you sign a one year contract, but can't go to the gym due to travel or health reasons, then you have to pay for the entire year.
I had a shoulder injury, so could not go to the gym for 5 months but I had to pay during those months, request to pause the membership was not considered.

I have been taking my 15 y.o. son to their special needs class for over a year now and I have nothing but good things to say about the program, the coaches and the owners. Ms. Rebecca has a lot of experience with special needs kids from her experience through the Forsyth Co. School system and also all other coaches are really patient and loving with a group that can be challenging some times. They also make sure the kids get their workout done. At the beginning I had to drag my son to each class and now he loves it so much and is always ready to go. Price is very reasonable as well.

My son has been coming to PPF for 6 years and loves to come exercise a few times a week with his friends. Rebecca and staff are great with the individuals with special needs. She had built a fantastic program!

Moving into my 60's I decided I needed to shake things up with my fitness routine. I joined PPF four years ago and have enjoyed the work outs, coaching and fellowship ever since. The staff does a great job working with the different skill levels of its members so all feel accomplished upon completing the work out of the day. I highly recommend to all.

5 Stars - Plus! I highly recommend PPF to anyone who is looking for a community of like minded people interested in improving their overall health and fitness. Richard, Rebecca and all the trainers work with you at your level of fitness. The workouts and class schedules are designed to meet the needs of the members. It's a decision you won't regret.
I am so pleased that I joined 6 years ago and make the workouts part of my routine. If you miss a few classes you may get a call or a text from Richard looking for you.

I was a runner all my life. Never saw my body change in the areas that I wanted to tone and firm ...especially being middle aged. 3 1/2 years working hard with great instructors I have a new look and a new "Family". Thanks PPF!!

I have been training at PPF for about 6 years now. The workouts are challenging and the staff will help you adjust according to your fitness level and abilities. I have been into fitness almost my entire life, but I have learned so much since starting here. My sons have been training at PPF over these last 6 years as well. They started off as 4th and 5th graders in the kids fit program and now are Junior and Senior in HS in the Athletes Class. It has been a fantastic experience for them in not only helping with their athletic performance, but also creating the building blocks for a lifetime of fitness. The gym has become an extended family for us. Even my wife, who hates to workout, enjoys going with me now.

I have two track athletes one collegiate and the other in middle school. Took them over for a workout and they both were extremely challenged! The worked out was tuned to each athlete, they were both challenged at their level. The facilities are top notch as well!

Wonderful community of members and coaches. It’s more than a great workout (which it is). The coaches pay attention to details, and although it is a “class” format, they will modify any workout for beginners, injuries, etc.
I highly recommend PPF and have many friends that have tried it and loved it.
Keep up the great work!

I did my first workout 6 years ago to train for obstacle races and absolutely love the people and the trainers. All the trainers especially Richard and Rebecca push you to do your best but while making sure you are listening to your body. They offer a free 14 days period to get used to the gym and see how awesome it is. Different type of workout everyday plus yoga and boot camp on Sat!

I’m coming up on my 4 year Anniversary with PPF and I can’t say enough about my second home. The WODS challenge me every time, almost always showing up 5 days a week (except for tennis season 🤫don’t tell🤪) and I’m in the best shape I’ve been in years. I’ve found my 2nd family and the place I look forward to releasing my frustrations and stress along with spending time with the people I love. I wouldn’t be the person I am right now mentally and physically if it wasn’t for this place truly. #ppfstrong #myfamily #youallrock

Love the environment and culture of PPF. I started as a junior in high school at PPF to improve my basketball game. My senior season would not have been the same without training from PPF. Highly recommend to anyone of any age!!

I’ve been a member of PPF for almost 6 years and my husband for 3 years. My children attend the agility classes which helps them stay active. The workouts at PPF are challenging and always different. The trainers and owners are encouraging and push you to become stronger and more fit. I love that PPF serves all age levels. I’m in my mid forties and workout with younger and older athletes. We respectfully challenge and encourage one another. If your looking for a challenging gym and friendly members than checkout PPF!

Purports to run a special needs summer camp for kids (listed as a fitness class for special needs) and nothing more than a $$$ grab. Agreed to utilize based on previous relationship with one of the owners and it just wasn't a good fit. Declined to refund for the unused week, stating against policy.. this isn't posted on website nor receipt (which I screenshot for reference.) Keep the $$$.. I trust Karma

This Crossfit gym is fantastic and the trainers are excellent. Owners Richard and Rebecca Camp work hard at keeping a certain level of training for all who come to workout. I started training with PPF in April of 2014 and the results are better than I have ever had in any other setting. All the trainers are motivating but push you to get max results. In addition to the great trainers all the other people working out are friendly, fun and encouraging. Don't be afraid to try Crossfit because you hear it is hard, give it a shot. Is it challenging yes but it is so worth it! I have relocated to Chattanooga, TN but I miss those guys at PPF a lot and hope to come back every chance I get to say hi and get in a WOD. Cheers to everyone in 2015 and get ready to be in the best shape ever!
