This is such a charming and welcoming studio. Sam’s Hatha class is both challenging and restorative, and I always leave feeling mentally and physically relaxed. A great experience all around!

LOVE this studio, everyone is always so kind and welcoming and the studio itself invites such a warm atmosphere. Angelica’s Vinyasa flow is incredible, it’s a great challenge that always leaves me feeling empowered and wanting to book another class to continue my practice.

Pure motion is my favorite yoga studio! It’s authentic, peaceful and welcoming. It feels like home. The classes offer variety and allow you to challenge yourself or just get some zen depending on what you need. I love all the teachers and going to class is always my favorite part of my day.

I started coming here a month ago and it’s one of the best studios I’ve practiced at. The classes are all shapes, sizes, ages, and skill level. The studio is completely non pretentious, the instructors are welcoming, and the classes are accessible yet challenging enough to deepen my practice. Best part is it’s affordable! I’ve tried a lot of the “trendy” studios in town and none compare to Pure Motion.

Pure Motion Yoga is an authentic, endearing, and welcoming yoga studio. It is a true community of kind people of ALL skill levels. I have been coming here for four years and it has become a transformative part of my life. There is a great range of classes from hot core classes, warm yin classes, and the best fascia release class on Fridays to end the week. Truly welcoming space for first timers to experienced practitioners. Check it out - you will love it.

I’ve been to 10 or so yoga studios in the area since moving to Atlanta a decade ago but never stayed at one for more than 6 months. Instead, I bounced back and forth between studios with challenging classes but aloof atmospheres and studios with warm atmospheres but uninspiring classes. Two years ago, I discovered Pure Motion, and it has been my yoga home ever since. The community at Pure Motion embraces persons of all ages, backgrounds and fitness levels. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive. Every class meets the needs of beginners as well as longtime yoga practitioners. And the instructors provide a consistent and wholistic approach to fitness that has deepened my yoga practice and given me a healthier, stronger body. I highly recommend checking it out.

First time visiting Pure Motion Yoga decided to take the class through ClassPass. I am so happy I booked it. The class that I took was Non Sleep Deep Rest Yoga Nidra. Amazingly good class immediate sleep it felt so good to rest my body after such a long day. Thank you for your service and I hope to see you soon.

Pure Motion is an amazing place to explore your yoga practice! I have been to more than a dozen studios around Atlanta and this one is hands-down my favorite. I personally credit this studio and its exceptional community of teachers with reinvigorating my yoga practice after a long hiatus of some months. The classes are amazing, the teachers are knowledgeable and encouraging, and the community is full of friendly and welcoming people. The studio space itself is inviting and provides everything one to needs to fully sink into that best part of the day :) If you are a seasoned practitioner or brand new to yoga, you will feel welcome and invited to thrive here.

This studio is a zenful oasis. I have taken classes here with 4 different instructors. All are very good and welcoming and offer different types of classes.

The space is very calming and has such a beautiful energy. I highly recommend the deep stretch and core classes with Ashley. I feel like this place is truly a hidden gem. And Ashley is a highly knowledgeable and intuitive instructor. He also does physical training in his other gym down the street. And, he offers the BEST sports massage which is therapy for anyone with chronic pain or knots. I can’t speak enough praises of this studio and all its offerings.

Can’t say enough good things about PMY. I came in knowing nothing about yoga, and they welcomed me and got me started in a fun and relaxing environment. As I’ve progressed, the instructors created new challenges and kept me moving forward. 5 big stars for these wonderful yogis...

Love the new addition to the morning line up at PMY! They now offer ‘Slow Flow’ on Wednesday at 6:30a, well-named to ease your body into the day. I highly recommend all the 6:30am classes: Core & Stretch, Tuesday/Thursday and Deep Stretch, Friday. This studio is such a comfortable, safe space, and every class adds variety to my practice. Thanks PMY for additional morning offerings!

only went here once but it was the best yoga class of my life! the instructor was a young and very pretty woman of color but don't remember her name.

the class was very slow with deep poses which i prefer over the more athletic and high heart rate classes.

excellent stuff

I've been searching for a yoga studio since my move to Atlanta and have to say I've found my match! The studio is lovely, and there are a wide variety of instructors and classes to take. They also do not nickel and dime you like some of the yoga studios around Atlanta! 100/100 would recommend

First, let me say that I do teach yoga here. However, the REASON I chose to teach here is because it was, by far, the most welcoming yoga studio I'd ever been to in Atlanta (and I've been to dozens). I love the atmosphere, the yogis, the teachers, and the owners -- everyone is delightful. The great thing about the studio, too, is that we have yogis of all levels, so beginners and advanced practitioners alike are welcome!

Pure Motion Yoga is a true haven for all levels of yoga enthusiasts.
It will not disappoint. There is something for everyone needing an hour long yoga experience that will give you exactly what you were seeking.
The space is peaceful and clear and lovely and the teachers are generous and supportive.
I have tried most classes and levels and would recommend any and have enjoyed every teacher. The class descriptions are accurate so you always know where you are headed upon entering the studio.
It is everything you would expect and more!

Attended a Flow (All Levels) class with Daiva after meetings at Emory. Very convenient to Emory - I left my meeting at 5 p.m. and was at the studio in less than 15 minutes, even with traffic. I found the parking to be a bit unconventional, but didn't have trouble finding a spot.

Beautiful studio, great flow class that was cued perfectly for all levels. Really enjoyed my class here! I am not often on this side of town, but will look to practice here when I visit Emory.

Pure motion is a lovely new yoga studio in close proximity to Emory, the CDC, and Morningside/the Highlands. The inside space is calm and peaceful. They offer mats and props for free. They have many all-levels options, as well as some fun core-focused class, and some relaxing Yin. I hope they continue to expand their advanced practice offerings.

I've recently started doing yoga more seriously due to several old injuries from running in high school (knee, shoulder, etc), and Pure Motion has been the perfect welcoming place for me to start my practice. Ashley in particular is a very calming and encouraging instructor, and I feel like I improve each pose every time I practice with him. The small fountain by the entrance also adds an element of calm just before you enter, which puts you in the mood for yoga if you've just had to battle the Atlanta traffic. I highly recommend this studio to newbie and veteran yogis alike!

I love this studio. It is a very calming atmosphere and beautiful space. There is a patio outside with a lovely fountain that gets you in the right mindset for yoga. I have gone to a number of different classes with different instructors, and have only had positive experiences here! There are great Yin classes, which are hard to find at a lot of studios. It's very relaxing but also gets a deep stretch which so many of us need. There are great options for beginners yoga as well as some flow classes that will push you a little more (I recommend Courteney's Wed evening if you want some strengthening!). Additionally - I definitely recommend the Friday evening "Yin and Vin" which is a relaxing class followed by a very inclusive and chill hang out (with wine). I am a Y&V regular and have met some great people here.

Definitely would recommend this studio for all-comers to yoga - beginners and more advanced alike!

Nice, clean yoga studio with lots of room to grow. Class I attended was a bit empty, but I imagine it's due to their lack of reviews (which is why I'm writing one)! Tranquil space, helpful instructors... and the outdoor patio is probably wonderful during the summer. Would recommend for all levels.
