I recently tried Row House in Sandy Springs, and it was an incredible experience! I’ve passed by this studio countless times, right next to my favorite sushi spot, so I finally decided to check it out and I’m so glad I did.

It was my first time trying a rowing class, so I was a little nervous, but the instructor, Hannah, made the whole experience seamless. She welcomed me, showed me where everything was, and explained how the class works. Her detailed instructions helped me feel comfortable as a beginner. I mostly followed along by watching others, but Hannah was great at guiding the group and kept the class moving smoothly.

The studio itself is the perfect environment for a workout—dimly lit with great music that kept me motivated. I was especially impressed that Hannah took the time to check in on my posture throughout the class and made sure I was getting the most out of each row. She was also attentive to others in the room, which made me feel like everyone was being taken care of.

I burned around 350 calories in just 45 minutes, and the next day, I definitely felt the workout! My muscles were sore, but in a good way. It’s the kind of full-body workout that’s not only effective but fun too. I’m already looking forward to my next class!

If you're looking for a great workout in a welcoming atmosphere with a fantastic instructor, Row House in Sandy Springs is a must-try!

I attended 1 class, which was great, and immediately signed up for a monthly agreement. Unfortunately, I haven't made it back in 2 months, so I requested that my contract be terminated. Apparently you can only do via email. I have yet to hear back from this location (I have called once and emailed twice) and I am still being charged. Another week of this and I will contact my credit card company. The customer service is non existent. What a shame.

As a former member of the Cumming location (very distraught at their closing), I was very excited to see what the Sandy Springs studio had to offer. They did not disappoint. The format is a bit different than my old studio, but the location and instructor lived up to the hype! I felt seen from the moment I walked in the door, challenged throughout the workout and rewarded at the end. Eddie welcomed me as soon as I walked in and Dane showed us why he is known across the community as a fantastic instructor. He definitely knows how to push you beyond what you think you can accomplish. I will miss my old studio, the proximity of my old studio, but I am looking forward to the goals that I will accomplish at the Sandy Springs RowHouse.

WARNING! Exercise at your own risk! This is a shady business.

I am so sad that I did not readily these reviews before I signed up 4 months ago. As with others the team will go above and beyond to get you signed up. But when you want to cancel, you will have trouble. Now in my case for more than 50% of the time that my membership was active I was unable to utilize it due to work travel. However, when they were unable to get a payment, they charged me a $15 late fee for services not rendered a week after my monthly fees were due. Then of course when I tried calling and emailing no one answered or responded. However, just 7 days after not being able to collect my monthly fees they had a debt collection company contact. These folks claimed that I sig ed a contract (which I never saw) that stated I cannot cancel if I have an outstanding balance. Otherwise, they have the right to keep charging me. So I said, okay I will pay for September, though I have not attended any sessions nor will I ever again but I want to cancel. Now I have emailed 4 times requesting them to cancel the membership and called 3 times leaving 2 messages, still no reply. I hope they try to charge me again in October despite receiving notifications to cancel as it will make my legal claim that much stronger. This is truly unfortunate that this business is run by a person of no character who cares little about ethics and only about economics. Not to mention the facility smells terrible.

I didn’t want to write a poor review but feel it’s necessary. It’s impossible to get in touch with this location to cancel my membership, they do not reply to emails or calls. They don’t offer many classes daily. I could probably overlook that. Something that really bothered me during my workout is the location has a very unpleasant smell. It smells like a plumbing issue. However, what I see as the major issue here is that I also wrote to them about an inappropriate moment during one of my classes. A male instructor approached me from behind (while I was in the middle of rowing) and grabbed at my waist to get my attention about my form. I was startled and thought that was odd. He apologized because I was clearly shocked. I hope it was a learning moment for him. Why would you touch anyone while they are working out…especially from behind…especially at the waist? If you want to get someone’s attention, it should be common sense to approach from an angle they can see you from…and a simple wave would do. Sad…as this was a gift to me from a family member because I LOVED row house Sylvan Park in Nashville. I feel incredibly bad that I’m not able to enjoy the thoughtful gift I received. This franchise has unreliable standards :’(.

WARNING! BAD BUSINESS WHEN YOU CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP! I canceled my membership at the end of 2023 and the auto drafts stopped. Or so I thought they did. Three (3) months later they started charging my credit card again in April. I stopped at the store and the lady said "That is weird, that should not have happened", and put me in contact with the owner (who is not good at follow-up). Then another charge hit May 2024. Not once but TWICE! Neither charge has been credited back to this date.

No one is ever there to help unless you show up when a class is starting, and then they are too busy. I always get their voicemail. Only 2 returned calls since April, and I have called a lot and stopped by the store, to a locked door.

Joining was a very different scenario, they covered me up with follow-up calls and emails. Eddie was lovely, but that was then. Now I just get the runaround or ignored, because he is too busy working a full-time job, and not attending to important business at the Row House.

I have tried to work it out with the owner; Eddie Garcia, but my emails get no response or action taken. I am VERY disappointed.

Next stop... I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

The promise from Row House appears to be... that your credit card will get a workout long after you leave! Good Luck!

I have called this location multiple times to cancel my membership and nobody answered. They finally responded after my billing date and they want a final payment. I have not been in months and they received multiple payments from me without me coming. I keep receiving emails about final payment when I will not be attending any rowing classes.

Only I and a few other diehards, would get up and out on the coldest morning in the ATL to row, but there I was on the machine giving it my best for the team and for me. After a few songs I was no longer cold. Rowing is still my favorite workout hands down. Give it a try at Row House Sandy Springs, you will not regret it!

I cancelled my account in October and received ANOTHER charge on Dec 23 for this account. Their policy is the cancellation will go into effect 30 days following the form submission. However, it is now DECEMBER!!! I called the office and no one picks up. I emailed them as well. There's absolutely NO reason why I should still be getting charged for this account! Very shady!!!!

Update: I see they have responded. My membership was transferred to the Sandy Springs location. I submitted my cancellation form to your staff and they said they submitted my form to the corporate office. It is all in the email correspondence. I sent you all an email as well and tried to call your offices to fix it. Called again on 12/28 and no one picks up the phone!

Update #2: Row House responded via email and stated they took care of the billing discrepancy. However, now I am receiving bill past due emails dated 1/19. Calls to Row House Sandy Springs go unanswered. I wish I never transferred to this location.

I’ve tried all of the group fitness that are out there and Row House is by far the best. I’ve mainly worked with coaches Dane and Taylor and they are the best to ever do it. I plan my Saturdays around row class and I’ve never been able to do that before and I’m thankful for Row House Sandy Springs for getting me on track. I had to get knee surgery (no fault of Row House lol) and they paused my account with no issues and were even understanding that I may have classes roll over to the next month so I didn’t overdue it after surgery. You get out of it what you put in. The coaches are going to do their job, you have to show up and do yours. It’s worth it.

It’s very unfortunate that I have to leave a bad review but communication at this location is horrible. Cancelled my membership on November 17th. December 17th I called again to ensure my account was cancelled since there’s a 30 day cancellation policy. Cool, no problem. When I finally spoke to someone, they assured me that my account was cancelled and I would not be billed. December 19th comes around I’m billed and the membership is still active. I called all day and when I finally did get someone I was told “the owner was out of town” (which seems to be a re-accruing theme). Anyway, the person the answered the phone reiterated that they in fact had received my cancellation form in enough time and I should not have been charged. She said she’d text the owner while he was away. The next day I check my account and my membership is cancelled but I still have not received a refund. You call, you can’t speak to anyone. You go in person, no one is at the desk. The owner is always “out of town”. It’s ridiculous! Would much rather just pay for a gym membership than deal with this headache!

I've been going to the Sandy Springs Row House location for over two years now and I love it!! The instructors are engaging, encouraging and motivating. I love that they offer different types of classes ranging from Restore (low impact) to a Full Row (sweat city). The studio is always clean and well maintained. The owner is friendly and helpful. Check it out for a fun 30 or 45 minute class that is sure to get your body moving!

I have been recently using ClassPass to explore the studios around Atlanta and I went to Row House for the very first time and it was a mind blowing class. Since it was a small class, the coach was very attentive to each of us and pushed us during the intensity phase to do our best.

I would definitely visit back for a full body cardio focused workout.

THE CANCELLATION PROCESS AT ROWHOUSE IN SANDY SPRINGS HAS CAUSED ME TO HAVE THE WORST ANXIETY ATTACK I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN LIFE !!!!!!!! STOP DELETING MY REVIEW LET THE PEOPLE SEE HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE WHO WANT TO CANCEL MEMBERSHIPS !!!!!!!!

I was just told by a representative that I cannot cancel my membership and also I can’t remove my payment information. I’m disappointed that they are making the membership cancellation process so difficult. They require 30 days in advance, and it has to be done over the phone (which they’re not answering). There’s no option to cancel online, and you can’t remove your payment info. Shady shady shady

I’ve been going to this location for almost a year now and absolutely love the classes and the results I’ve gotten. I’ve gone to all of the studios you can think of - OTF, Barry’s, etc. and my personality is the kind that needs to “switch up” regularly but Row House has not disappointed. I love that the classes are 45 minutes and you hit all of your major body parts and it’s low-impact on your joints which has been a must for me due to some sports injuries. While all of the instructors are awesome, Dane is one of the reasons why I signed up and stuck to it. He’s a great instructor that somehow has eyes in the back of his head and makes sure your form is ok and you’re having fun. Looking forward to another 100K meters!

I cancelled my membership a year ago. They charged me randomly for a monthly membership two months ago and haven't refunded it. I've called them 5 times. The owner has told me repeatedly that it should hit my account soon, but it hasn't.

Monday was my first time going to Rowhouse in Sandy Springs. This place and, more importantly, the instructor, Taylor, is so great. She's such a cheerleader which made me go harder. It's clean, social distancing of machines are in effect, and all machines are clean off after class (saw with my own eyes - which is a plus). I love it there. I totally recommend.

As someone with previous rowing experience (as well as track and weighlifting) I knew rowing was the best workout ever. You're using your legs, core and back muscles while doing cardio. I could not wait get back into a group environment to row. Row House uses concept 2 machines which are the only ones true to the sport of rowing done on the water. The coaches progress the intensity of the workouts with time so you keep improving. The only advice I have is for the coaches to explain technique better to people who are not familiar with the sport.

Edit: Dane and Jess schedule Saturday classes periodically for technique training. I totally recommend taking them!

Jess is my favorite and her classes are the most challenging!

Row House Sandy Springs is a great facility with excellent ventilation and a kick butt sound system. It is a great opportunity for cross training and HIIT. I am a runner so I enjoy using different muscles when rowing. Rowing is a whole body exercise which makes it better for cross training versus a more quad dominant exercise like spin.

I love Row House Sandy Springs because the people are amazing! I know that when I walk in, Carlos and Cam will be there with a friendly greeting. As I enter the cleaned and sanitized studio, I look around at my crew for the day and I know that they are there for the same reason as I, to give it 100% It's fun to take different classes, because each of the coaches has their own style and their own playlist. I only wish I could do more classes, but hopefully I'll get there someday!

I’ve been working out for a long time but never been consistent, because nobody really held me accountable ( except myself) and always found excuses of not going to workout. Well, Row house in Sandy spring changed all that. Besides the great results I’m getting, the coaches and the entire team actually are absolutely amazing and push you to your limits. Limits you didn’t know you had. You get an awesome workout, you have fun, you laugh and you workout some more. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made fitness and health wise. These guys will keep you accountable!!!! And not only them but the people that actually go there and put in the work like the rest. Contests, great music, dj, fitness apparel, in body scans, dieting advise, awesome people- what more can you want?

When I come across friends posting pictures and bragging about checking in at their gym and talking about how "addictive exercise can be," I rolled my eyes scrolled past. I did not do any sports in school. I never had an exercise regimen. I could always find something I enjoyed more than exercise. I once even posted to Facebook, if you see me checking in at a gym, you know full well my account has been hacked. My attitude towards exercise was, "It's not for me!" That attitude was physically visible. At age 39, I was just around 500 pounds and prescribed pills and shots for my lousy blood test results. I had no energy and would get winded climbing a flight of stairs. I went to all sorts of Doctors and joined a YMCA. I started doing water aerobics with people more than twice my age who were in better shape than me. I started eating what I like to call a rabbit. I followed this program for months and barely dropped a few pounds. I gave up, canceled my Y membership, and hit the fast-food drive-thru multiple times per day. I share all of this negativity, so you get a glimpse of who I was.
The opening of RowHouse was delayed due to the global pandemic, and I started attending RowHouse in June 2020. Now 6 months later, the changes I have experienced have been awe-inspiring, in my opinion. According to my Apple watch, my Resting Heart Rate has gone from an average of 83 beats per minute down to 58 beats per minute. My weight has decreased by just over 20 pounds over the last 6 months, and I am running 330 pounds. Interestingly enough, according to the body scans I have done at RowHouse, my body fat has gone down more than 20 pounds. Still, I am adding muscle mass from all the classes at RowHouse. My real non-scale victory was my adult daughter and I was in the car together one day after not seeing each other for a couple of months. She stopped mid-sentence and commented on my hands. She reached across and grabbed my hand and said, "Dad, that does not look like your hand and wrist! You have always had fat fingers, even after you changed your diet." Another big victory was I was able to buy a 2X sweatshirt off the rack. Previously I have worn some 5x or 6x shirts or have my clothes custom made to fit me.
Being new to Atlanta and dealing with the global pandemic, my ability to make connections outside of my colleagues at work has been limited. However, the community at RowHouse Sandy Springs has become a dedicated group of great friends because we all have a common goal to improve our health. I have made some terrific friends who work at RowHouse and connected with a diverse group of rowers. We all support one another and encourage each other to improve our personal records and improve our health. When I skip a class, one of my fellow rowers reaches out and asks how I am doing and tells me they missed me and look forward to seeing on the erg soon.
In 2020, I have become 'that guy' who is excited to post my stats and check-in at RowHouse Sandy Springs to brag about my workout. I have become that rowing junky. Not sure how that happened since physical activity did not exist before 2020, but I see outstanding results. I am off all my medications and feel so much better that I share my excitement on social media. Suppose you have any hesitations about becoming a member at RowHouse because it is new to you. In that case, I say no matter where you are physically or mentally; this will work for you if you just get started.

I've been trying to find a way to get in shape and drop some lbs for the last year after I suddenly gained a bunch of weight. The traditional gym wasn't for me. I found Row House through the Peachy Cheeks website and decided to try it out. I absolutely love doing classes here. You get in a great workout without getting bored like at the gym. 45 minutes of working out HARD and you feel great after!
