Glad to have found Sati Yoga wellness & Dr Kali's Yin yoga classes are overwhelmingly great! Both in technique & just a rejuvenating experience. I'm so impressed by her background in Orthopedics and the attention she pays to yoga movement. I've finally find a Yin yoga class in Atlanta that has a great collection of diverse offerings and one that is also black owned! SYW is just as great as the studio in Brooklyn (Healhs) where I first introduced to the Yin yoga practice over 8 years ago. It has been worth the over 35 minutes drive to SYW during this new member 1 month trial & will continue on. Kali also has warm personality, and engaging in her teaching style. I also tried her Wednesday wine down restorative class which was good too and nice connecting with her and attendees at the end!
So I also recently tried the Flow zen class last Friday, that was overall unpleasant, so will definitely not ever take a class with Anna, or whomever again. But overall SYW is still a great studio!

Great studio, new for me, Dr Kali, fantastic owner & her Yin yoga classes etc are so soothing & she has a lovely disposition. However I had the bizarre experience & misfortune of trying another instructors (Anna) flow zen Friday afternoon class; arrived 2 minutes late from Lenox after stuck accident on highway. Class was fine, ok, she mentioned the Halloween special at end. Went to change, then walked to front desk with my mat etc in tow, smiled at her saying hello. She looked at me with disdain, rudely ignored me as if I was invisible! I was so taken aback gathered my things and quickly left, just soured my mood rest of the afternoon. So be warned if you are a melanated woman stick with classes taught by us here to avoid being belittled at end. I’ve been doing yoga over 25 years at first studios in country in NYC, Bali etc. Then adding insult to injury check my email to see she literally or someone “canceled me” from the class a few hours later, as if I was actually invisible… after I spent time, energy and burned gas to attend! Truly unbelievable.

Sati is owned by a former surgeon, so I really feel like every class is grounded in both deep knowledge of the body and genuine care for how we move. The instructors are thoughtful and encouraging, and they always take time to offer modifications so you can challenge yourself safely at your own pace.
The space itself feels calm and welcoming—no pressure, no pretension, just an environment where you can breathe and reset. I’ve left every class feeling lighter and stronger, both physically and mentally.
If you’re looking for a yoga studio in Atlanta where the practice is as intentional as it is uplifting, Sati is it.

Awesome soundbath experience with Malaika. Extremely relaxing and centering. The studio is calm, clean, and spacious. You can bring your own mat and she had some there as well with pillows and blankets. I will certainly be back!

My favorite yoga studio ever, please try it! The new student special is an amazing deal and even regular prices are affordable. They do yin yoga, meditation, breath work, and the spiritual and mental aspects of yoga better than any studio in Atlanta. The owner of the studio is amazing, it’s a local Black owned small business, and the community of people that go there is so lovely. I’ll never go anywhere else!

I love you, Sati! This yoga studio feels like home. Kali has created a safe, inclusive and healing environment for her neighborhood and beyond. I love feeling comfortable to fully relax with the double doors locked and knowing that there are no phones in class. No matter what is happening in life, Sati is there for me.

I was really excited about this being my first ever yoga class , but was extremely disappointed at how unprofessional my instructor was . I am a full time YouTuber so at times I'll take a 10 second video of whatever I'm doing. When I pulled my phone out the instructor I had asked me to put it away very rudely. I quickly apologized explaining that I did not know ( because it was never stated prior to class) . She THEN continued to keep going , talking to me like a child . Saying that this is "her content" as if that was my intention for recording. She made me go into my phone and delete it . Then she took another step by telling me to show her my recently deleted, invading my privacy. I also want to mention I did this at the last 5 minutes of class . The problem is that I felt as if she was defensive about me trying to "steal her content ". I was the only African American already feeling outta place . For this to be a place of zen , you should not have instructor's that have nasty attitudes. I had no problem putting my phone away but talking to me the way she did , embarrassing me in front of the whole class and invading my privacy is not an experience that I would have wanted .her excuse for being snappy with me was because someone had came and posted her content on YouTube . Just because someone came in and did that to you before . Doesn't mean EVERYONE is coming to do that . Please respect your new customers because you never know who is coming in . And if you want no recording you should have a sign and state that before every class .

At my friend’s prompting I finally decided to get back into yoga and signed up with their new student membership. I have tried a variety of classes and have loved all of them. I find the instructors knowledgeable, kind, attentive to form but also incredibly respectful of this ancient practice without being woo. After walking out of a vinyasa class at my gym where there was no effort to accommodate or support those at different abilities I walked into a community where my safety and bad knees are prioritized. This is a true gem in atlanta.

My father and I attended a class this week for the first time with instructor Rue. As soon as you arrive to Sati you are greeted with a friendly and welcoming environment. Rue checked us in and chatted with us about any injuries. He really chatted and connected to everyone in my class which I thought was really personable and special.
I have done yoga before where I felt silly or even “trendy” with the environment that was created, but Rue’s class was just awesome. He taught us all so many life skills, and how yoga is a form of meditation that can be translated into the hustle of life. I really appreciated his class, and I definitely made note of the poses he taught us. The way his class worked is really great, because of the balance provided between effort and rest. Namaste! <3 everyone is so friendly.

I signed my daughter and I up for a class at Sati and it was a great experience. Before I signed up I contacted the studio and Kali was super helpful getting me registered and signed up. the process was easy and the App they use for booking is really cool and easy to navigate. We signed up for the Wednesday 6pm Class with Rue. we got there early and met Rue. Rue is really friendly and welcoming. He gave us a run down on his back ground, what we would be learning with his classes, and his views on yoga's benefits of the body, mind and soul. He asked us if we had any injuries or ailment we would like to address and I told him I was recovering from a hip injury. Rue basically broke down the whole anatomy of the hip for me. seriously, he was more informative than my orthopedic doc was. the actual class was amazing. Rue is a great instructor with lots of knowledge. i really like how he would explain how each pose and move effected the body and mind. he included certain posses to address my hip issue and pointed out that i should take them home and practice them for homework! over all it was a great experience for my daughter and I and I highly recommend this place. i look forward to attending more classes!

I attended a yen yoga session and I came in with lower back pain. When I left, not only was I able to bend over and touch my toes, but my back pain was gone. The moves were slightly challenging, yet relaxing. I am going to bring my partner next time

I have practicing yoga at Sati for several months now and it is by far my favorite studio I have ever been to. The environment is inclusive and warm. I haven’t had the pleasure of practicing with each teacher yet but I have to shoutout Ken, Rebecca, and of course Dr. Kali! Her Yin Yoga class is a weekly occurrence for me. You have to try it at least once!

I have been taking classes at Sati for a couple of months now, and I can't say enough good things! The teachers all have a different style and are encouraged to mix up the classes which makes it fun to try different ones. The atmosphere is inclusive and welcoming for all body types and abilities. I am currently far along in my first pregnancy and have always felt great about my practice even when I have to modify A LOT. :) That is due to the encouragement from the teachers and kindness of other students. I am so glad Sati chose Kirkwood as home! We are lucky to have such a great and accessible yoga studio in the neighborhood.

I’ve been attending classes at Sati for about 6 months now. It is the best!! I had been searching for a studio in Atlanta that offered more relaxing, gentle classes consistently through out the week. Most studios only have one or two on their schedule. Sati has options 7 days a week at a variety of times. Besides the class selection, the environment is warm and welcoming to everybody- all yoga levels ❤️ I always leave feeling more at peace and relaxed then when I entered. I’m so glad to have found this community.

Sati is my favorite yoga studio in Atlanta. Sati has a really special community of teachers and students, and it is a welcoming place to all people and yoga experience-levels. The studio itself allows for a more intimate-sized class. I love that this studio is centered around the concept of rest. Many of the teachers are also trauma-informed and very thoughtful with their classes. There are wonderful extra weekend events as well (like regular sound baths). Highly recommend Sati!
