Smugs Fitness believes in the power of well-being to change mindsets, alter physical chemistry and perceptions, and ultimately improve our lives. We are inspired and motivated to share this outlook — to teach, train and encourage so our clients can recognize and release their own capabilities.
Smugs Fitness has an established reputation in the fitness and corporate wellness industry. We provide individuals and businesses with the tools, knowledge and training they need to live independent, long and healthy lives. No two clients are alike. My husband and I love working out with Emma! She tailors the exercises to our needs, injuries, or just how we’re feeling that day. She deeply cares about her clients, is very flexible, and is always coming up with creative new ways to keep us healthy and feeling good. Highly recommend Smugs and Emma!

One of the best decisions for my health to join SMUGS! I never learned how to workout, and as an adult, I could never build a gym/workout habit. SMUGS gave me that with their personal training. Emma is who my wife and I both see, and she is amazing. We do both a couples training and individual training with her each week, and she is the best! We go to feel strong and live healthy, active lives, and we get that here. She has also been great with injury, and especially during my wife’s pregnancy. The owner and the rest of the staff are great too, and there are also group class options. I can’t recommend going here enough. It’s 100% worth the money and time!

Joining Smugs over a year ago was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my entire life. Lorna & Monica have been the most amazing trainers. I did individual training sessions with Lorna for one year and just started Advanced Custom Training (ACT) with Monica last month. Prior to joining Smugs, I hadn’t exercised in any meaningful way in more than a decade. Lorna helped me set just the right pace to keep me motivated without burning me out. She taught me all the foundational skills of strength training that I now use during ACT. Monica leads my ACT session and she is always there to offer helpful corrections and tips. I’m always learning and challenged during my workouts, and I always leave happy and refreshed. Smugs is an uplifting and happy place to be!

The best. I had struggled with getting into an exercise routine. Felt intimated or like I was too far gone to benefit - kept me from going at all. Someone recommended it and SMUGS was the answer.

Monica, Kory, and Sam were all amazingly supportive. Built routines with me and for me. Monitored exercises to make sure I was healthy and safe. Made sure I knew how to do them and what to do.

If you want a push to get back in shape, start working out, or take your physical achievements up a notch - I can’t recommend them enough.

SMUGS as a place of community and strength training is the BEST. My trainer Zach for two years and now Nick for one year have changed my body, mind and quality of life. At 73, I am getting stronger, more balanced and more confident about my physical condition. I receive truly personalized training. All sessions are tailored just for me even in a group class. They have created an incredibly inclusive and welcoming environment, meant to serve their clients needs of getting stronger and more confident. When I started working out with Kory I was just coming off of surgery and no weight bearing for six weeks. Working with her (in tandem with my PT team) helped me to not only rehab my knee but to build up the strength (and confidence) to return to normal activity. I've been training with Kory at Smugs Fitness for more than a year now, and I LOVE it! I had to pester Kory to take me on as a client and I am so glad I did. The workouts are tailored for my needs, she listens to my concerns (and some more), incorporates any feedback I provide almost immediately, and cares for me and my goals without any judgement.
Same is true for Sam and the entire team at Smugs (I have trained with almost all of them) and they all have their strengths, but everyone cares deeply about the clients, all while providing a fun environment (shoutout to Nick and his jokes)

This is a stellar place to come to learn how to exercise and get better with kettlebells (especially if you're bored with your current workouts!). I am really impressed with their coaches and the attention to form, detail, programming and cueing. I also see a lot of modifications given, so if someone has an injury or is at certain level, they tailor workouts specifically to the individual, even in a group setting. I feel safe and strong here!

Love Sam, Kory, and the crew at Smugs! Worked out with them for a year and felt strong and healthy after every session. Not only with the weight lifting, but also with the nutrition help provided by them. Always listening to my concerns and answering my questions. They even made a custom workout for me me when I had an injury and couldn’t do most of the original workouts. Only reason I don’t go there now is because I live and work 45mins away now. Hope to go back eventually!

Smugs Fitness is a place for all. Some of us go because we won’t exercise if we don’t go (ME); some go for the fun of it (crazy right?); some go because they have built friendships. It is a great place to connect with others.

A wide variety of people work out at Smugs Fitness. Business owners, doctors, psychologists, attorneys, realtors, parents, athletes, high school students, work from home professionals are just a few of the professions at the gym, even a Heisman Trophy winner works out at Smugs Fitness. No matter what ethnicity, sexual orientation, size or skills level, everyone is equal.

They have on-site corporate wellness programs, group classes, personalized training, couples training, physical therapy, and nutrition support groups just to name a few. The supports are there for you to succeed. All you need to do is to take the next step.

They have a diverse set of trainers to help meet your needs. If you don’t connect with one, you can work with another trainer.

I can’t “speak” highly enough of Smugs Fitness (if you couldn’t tell). If you are looking for a place to start, pick back up or just looking for a new gym, there’s no better place to get your feet wet!

Can a gym feel like a 2nd home? Apparently it can. This is a great place for both physical and mental fitness. The coaches know what they're doing and are able to work with anyone's fitness level. This is the place to make a change in your life in an non-intimidating, welcoming environment.
