My daughter is happy. Loves the staff. Enjoys the energy of the gym and coaches. As parents and business owners, Star has provided a level of peace for our working lives that we haven't experienced anywhere else. The behind the scenes and small things to other parents are the big things to business owners. It is impossible to conduct business properly when your child is on a team where there is no infrastructure. We can't express how overly thankful we are for the infrastructure, organization, backends operating system, proactive planning and managing for the logistics of scheduled comps, streamlined communication, weekly automatic class calendar updates, scheduled family breaks, a business staff, and the entire operations business structure at STAR ❤️A1❤️

Called Star Atl company to get more information, so my daughter could receive extra Tumbling and Stunt classes. I wasn't greeting nicely at all! She seemed as if she didnt want to be bother. When asked if, Star Atl does tumbling and stunt classes, I was given a sarcastic remark as if I should know they offered these classes at Star Atl. I just wanted to know more information at the end of the day even after going on the website. After her remark, it made me not even what to ask anything else. Needless to say, after being very interested in bringing my daughter to this location, I am no longer interested. The front staff also represents the face of the company. You guys might want to consider who answers the phones and make sure they have phone etiquette.

No waiting place for parents and it’s not conveniently located. A gym less than a mile away has a large observation area for parents. Wish our team would use Extreme.

22/23 was our 1st & last year at STAR. Unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience b/c of the lack of communication & the lack of professionalism from staff specifically, Quiana. She is very knowledgeable, but her attitude & how she handles certain parents at the gym was unacceptable. Candace & Chris were amazing, they always answered all my questions & was always so nice, they never made me feel like my questions & concerns didn’t matter. Lack of communication lacked extremely esp. those new to the gym. There should be additional meetings or some type of liaison to assist new parents. There was lack of communication to the point where I lost out on money that I could have saved. No one communicated a/b paying the tuition off early, the fundraising, or the fact that Summit is optional. When I expressed these concerns no one returned my calls. My daughter enjoyed her coaches on Hype & other additional Coaches such as Sam, Austin, & Justin. Another issue is the politics of it all. Certain parents & family are treated better than others b/c they’ve been with the gym since day one, they were w/ the current coaches from previous gyms, & their financial status. I point this out b/c certain cheerleaders shouldn’t be a flyer, but b/c of their relationship & history w/ the gym they get those flying spots, which caused harm to my daughter (broken nose) & other cheerleaders (broken noses & concussions). If a flyer is causing harm to other cheerleaders then maybe she shouldn’t be a flyer, but it’s overlooked b/c of who she is & her family. Lastly, the gym does not assist or provide any assistance or scholarships if a parent becomes ill, unemployed, or any unexpected life circumstances. I know several parents including myself lost their jobs, became ill, or extenuating circumstances happen & the gym didn’t try to assist. Also, higher level teams are valued more than lower level teams. Lower level teams are treated as your cheerleader can easily be replaced. Also, having to pay for the coach’s ring after winning a competition, shouldn’t be the parent’s responsibility especially having to pay for your daughter’s ring. I know several cheerleaders who didn’t get rings b/c they parents could afford it, but was told it’s “customary” to pay for the coach’s ring. With the cost of tuition & all the other fees the gym should pay for the coach’s ring. The coach’s will get a ring, but the cheerleader won’t, doesn’t seem fair to me. A lot of cheerleaders & families won’t be returning to STAR b/c of how things are being ran at the gym, the increasing costs, it seems everything is a/b money & kickbacks from Varsity. There were also so many issues with uniforms, the warm up jackets, & the unnecessary Summit practice wear (waste of money). My daughter didn’t get her jacket until there were only two competitions left in the season & we paid $200 for Summit wear and she only wore it once.

Our experience at star these last few months has been like no other. My oldest has learned so much in such a short amount of time of being at star. More than she learned her first 2 years of cheer. My youngest is new to the sport and she is catching up quickly with my oldest. It speaks to the coaching and support offered. The confidence and friendship as well as the challenge.
