Smells like dirty feet and the acoustics are awful with 4 courts of basketball going on. Hard to tell what whistle is your game & the refs calls.

Its an absolute shame that Coach Marc isn't there anymore. Whoever made that decision, should be embarrased! There is no leadership now!

Beyond grateful to have Suwanee Sports Academy near our home. Coach Reggie and his entire team do a wonderful job managing the after school program and summer camps. As my husband and I both work multiple jobs, knowing my daughters are in a safe space with a loving and caring staff to guide them in structured games and free play is the best! They’re able to be kids and get the exercise and play they need to be healthy and away from screens. If you’re a working parent in Suwanee needing a supervised space for your elementary students, I highly recommend you check them out!

The parking situation here is an epic disaster. So much so that it’s an actual danger to the people who show up. Your insurance company will charge you extra if they find out you’ve been here :). Life insurance too, because usually people park across the street and brave the no crosswalk, crossing raceway known as McGinnis ferry rd. I can’t believe someone hasn’t gotten hurt and I’m certain there have been countless incidents.. what an unplanned shameful disaster

Trash feeder program where the director instructs their refs to ignore fouls to get the games over with quicker in the name of making a buck which in turn allows to get the game out of hand and leads to scuffles and fights. They do consolation brackets to make more $$$ and teach the kids it’s ok to lose

Not safe. Spectators and children are not kept safe from children, parents and coaches that try to fight, threaten and disrupt games. Those individuals should be forced to leave the facility. I have witnessed three separate occurrences in which a spectator, a coach or player had to be held back because they were trying to fight. These individuals need to be escorted from the building. Absolutely not appropriate security. Not safe and bad sports culture for children when you allow that to happen. This needs to be corrected immediately.

5. Assumption of Risk. AFTER THE OPPORTUNITY TO FULLY INFORM MYSELF ABOUT THE PROGAM, ON BEHALF OF MYSELF AND PARTICIPANT, I EXPRESSLY ASSUME AND ACCEPT ALL RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OR ACT OR OMISSIONS OF THE PROGRAM ORGANIZERS.
I am deeply troubled by a statement in the waiver we’re required to sign for our children to attend summer camp. It’s hard to believe that such language is included. How can I trust that my child will be protected when I’m being asked to agree to something so alarming?
I urge Suwanee Sports Academy to reconsider this waiver and prioritize the safety and peace of mind of all parents. Do better Suwanee Sports, do better.

Totally unfair tournament. We played at 9:05a on court 7. The time clock guy slept on the floor through the entire first half - so the clock never stopped. I had to tell the guy keep score when someone got a shot. For the 2 half the time clock guy woke up and decided it was time to stop the clock. Where were the refs during all this? No control over their court. We lost by 3 points. Who knows what the score could have been if the clock has run the first half.

As far as facility, it’s an A but I give it 1 star due to the fact the refs allow your kid to get elbowed in the face or thrown to the ground with no care about their safety. Yes, we want tough play but if you are reffing and you can’t keep kids from acting like street ball thugs, they you have no business doing it. HoopSeen puts on a great event and SSA does a great job but when your kids gets manhandled due to refs not caring, it makes you think twice about going.

PARKING IS IMPOSSIBLE. The facility itself is just okay. The parking on the other hand is unacceptable. This facility should not host as many teams as they do if they cannot accommodate patron parking. Absolutely terrible. I hope we never have to come here again.

The facility itself isn't horrible. The parking, on the other hand, is HORRIBLE. People having to park and walk across a VERY BUSY highway is insane. What's more insane than that is having to pay $5.00 for a stamped index card to park in a "safer" spot.

The HoopScene Events continue to get worse every year. Unexperienced Refs adding negative temperaments to the game causing the players and parents to fight. Refs personalizing the game for their favor. Refs allowing players to get away with personal and intentional fouls. How does this help a child development? It doesn’t - will post video of evidence showing how the Refs act today one was even high last night. Are they even real refs? We paying $35 for a weekend tournament to get some neighborhood young men to ref games - stop it

Should not be allowed to host large events if you do not provide enough parking. We had to park across McGinnis farry and run across an extremely busy hwy. how is this not a liability for the complex. They also have allowed people to park anywhere blocking the road in the parking lots and you can’t get out.

I was a participated in this league and I had a terrible experience. This league is supposed to be more about development rather than being completely focused on winning. The practices were not beneficial and the games as well. Maybe it was just my particular coach but the experience wasnt good. This can definitely leave a bad mark on a player confidence.

They are running tournaments such as basketball. We were seeing biased or pathetic refereeing (i.e big teams are influencing referees and getting favored decisions). They already decided who needs to win. Not sure why they are running the tournaments like this.

Rating the venue in terms of weekend tournaments. Wifi not available/operational, limited parking, and limited seating for breaks between matches, relative to the number of volleyball courts and teams playing on a Saturday/Sunday. Bring your mobile Hotspot and your own pop-up chair.

This Academy is Awesome. Very dedicated and attentive to the children. Feels like family. I have a good time every time I visit. Good chicken tenders and waffle fries. It’s a clean place of business and makes me happy to go.

HORRIBLE ORGANIZATION FOR BASKETBALL!!! My son has learned NOTHING. We show up to practices and games, they play their favorites (even tho we continue to lose) Currently at a game now where we are in the 4th quarter and he has only been put in for 2 minutes the entire game. $375 for what! My kid to sit on the bench? They act like they got these great coaches and it’s super young kids that don’t know anything. Never again. My son has learned more on his own and playing with friend than this organization. Don’t waste your time or your money if you are looking for your kid to actually progress in the sport.

My daughters are members of A5 Volleyball Club and they use the SSA for practice.
The facility has really nice gyms and you can tell they are well maintained.
However, the seating arrangement for parent and visitors leaves a lot to be desired. There just isn't much space to sit and watch while they practice.
The lobby area could use some love and updating as well.

Pay to enter team in tourney. Pay to park. Pay each day to observe. This is all for basic level travel teams. Not high level AAU teams. Gate fee is fine. But charging to park on the property in addition to gate fee for a regular tournament is ridiculous.

Outstanding facility, staff, and security. I attended a tournament that hosted several hundred people. The process of flow for the crowd and teams were well planned. Staff politely clears each gym. All bleachers and chairs are immediately sanitized. All patrons and teams exit from the sides as new attendees enter in the center. Security politely assisted the exiting process. Outstanding environment for kids.

The bottom line of this foundation is for money. They preach that they are about “coaching & developing”, however, my sons coach did not “coach” anything . Instead, did what most of these teams/coaches do. Played their favorites. SO unfair to our kids (@ our money). Never will we play here OR participate on Suwanee overpriced basketball’s league! So disappointed!!!

Little did I know how much our family would LOVE SSA when we signed our two daughters up a little over a year ago. Both of our girls love going there, they enjoy the time with their friends and time to play games and get lots of energy out. They also both talk about how much the coaches actually play WITH them instead of just 'watching' them during after school. The administration is also amazing (Coach Mo and Alexis - that's you all - you ROCK) and so very responsive. My oldest is already counting down to when she can go back as a volunteer or coach when she gets older.

Although the courts and facilities are nice, the parking is inadequate and the staff trying to direct parking is horrible. As i sit outside and watch them rudely tell people the lot is full while more than a dozen spaces are empty. I told them there were empty spaces and they said "We will open it when we get told to open it ". In freezing temp this morning they would not allow a wheelchair bound double amputee in to be dropped off at the door, nor a mother with a infant. Our club will not be back for the Southern Dream Volleyball Tournament to be treated like this.

Came from Florida for my son's basketball tournament and was happy with the overall experience but was not happy with the staff who happen to be young kids that sit in the front. They seem to have no personality and hospitable way of being. I locked my keys in the car and had to call AAA. As I was on the phone I needed the address inside to ask one of the girls sitting in the front to only be told that she didnt know it but then tells me that I can google it. Um excuse me you work here and you don't know the address and then you see me on the phone but tell me to google it. How about you google it tell me the address and hen memorize it for next time! I was so annoyed needless to say the AAA agent found it and I assisted me!

Very dissatisfied with the travel basketball team. For a price of almost double to other teams in the area you get a shorter schedule, late uniforms, no parent gear, supposed custom uniforms that are poorly made and thrown together teams.

Where do I begin. Came from out of town to see my nephew play in a basketball game. As I was walking towards the main entrance with my 6yr old son in tow, there was a coach and his team of of 14/15yr old players gathered around him.
As we approached the main entrance I could hear the "coach" publicly berating and yelling at his players while onlookers watched. I could hear numerous swear words being used as we approached, and as we passed them it continued.
I kindly reminded the coach that young children were present such as my 6yr old son, and that this was NOT the place to being going off on a yelling/swearing tangent.
Well, you would have thought I started WW3. I was instantly confronted by numerous onlookers as well as the coach telling me that if I didn't "like" it that I could leave. I also had one lady tell me that the coach was just being "passionate". Lol
If you want to do something like that, fine. But you should do it somewhere private and not at the main entrance/front doors of a place where families are going in and out with their kids/grandma's/grandpas etc.
I was then yelled at by whom I'm assuming was the coaches lovely wife who told me I was just trying to cause a scene. I found that rather rich seeing as the coach was putting on a show of hard "tough" he was yelling and cussing.
At that point I just left, with zero intentions to ever return. Which is a shame, I thought this would be a family friend environment for all to enjoy watching family members play basketball.
To each his own, but if you have any sort of values what so ever.....I would stay away!

This review is regarding Suwanee Summer Camp, my 9 yr old has done the Y and Suwanee this summer and he likes Suwanee better than the Y. The kids seemed to have a good time, they have free play but also play structured games during the day. They also take a field trip to fun places as well.
