Our 5 year old joined Teddy’s Jiu Jitsu a few weeks ago and we’ve been very happy with the decision. It became very apparent from the outset that the instructors put a lot of time and attention into designing the training for the kids. The instructor to child ratio is also great, ensuring that each kid receives a lot of attention and instruction. If you want a friendly, safe environment where your child can learn a useful skill, I highly recommend Teddy’s Jiu Jitsu.

I was searching for a new jiu-jitsu gym and came across Teddy’s Jiu-Jitsu Academy—even before it officially opened. After talking with the owner multiple times, I immediately felt confident this was the right place. He really listened, asked thoughtful questions about why I left my previous school, and genuinely cared about what I was looking for in a new academy.

My girls absolutely love it here. The kids coach makes class fun, engaging, and encouraging, which has made a huge difference for them.

For adults, I’ve never seen a gym with more women on the mats. It’s an incredibly women-empowered environment with several higher-belt female members. In a sport that’s often male dominated, it’s refreshing and inspiring to train alongside so many strong, skilled women. The owner’s wife—who is a brown belt—is very involved, and you can feel her influence throughout the academy… maybe that’s why the bathroom is the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a gym!

A fantastic BJJ gym led by a coach who truly gets it. Instead of just drilling moves, Professor Teddy teaches through concepts and strategy, making everything click on a deeper level.

This is the life goal gym that my buddy Jerad (Teddy) has recently started. Two things that come to mind is that he is passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and he is passionate about helping other grow their skills in the sport. He is very patient when it comes to instruction. This is a trait that I feel that most instructors overlook; however, this is the most important quality that an instructor can possess when teaching students!

He and I have been working together on Jiujitsu for the past 7 years to the point that I can say he is a second instructor for me. My jiujitsu game has evolved and developed based on the guidance, feedback, drilling sessions that Jerad has spent with me on the mats! We watch instructionals together and bounce ideas around what works and doesn’t work. He has even helped write out a weightlifting program around my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu !!

I highly recommend this gym and you will definitely see me around and about here!

I've trained at a few different gyms over the years, and this one stands out in all the best ways. The instructor is awesome—very caring and extremely detailed in his approach and teaching. I’ve learned far more in the past four weeks that I’ve been here than I have anywhere else in twice the time.

The culture here is what really makes the difference—it’s welcoming, respectful, and ego-free.
