Excellent machines, tools, and equipment. The staff is courteous and hard working, and the locker rooms are spotless. So why did I take off two stars? Because they have the coldest, iciest white colored overhead lights everywhere. This is like basic interior design sense but especially for a gym where lighting matters. Warmer bulbs don’t cost any more than colder temperature bulbs, and it makes the difference between a world class gym and a 24/7 fitness with dinky florescent lighting.
Seems stupid to complain about but it feels like im being assulted by an industrial searchlight. You already have one or two warm lights, let’s bring that around to the rest of the facility.
Edit: its been a few months now and it still feels like im trying to escape Alcatraz with helicopters circling overhead shining search lights into the water so i’m docking another star ✊😔

The music is obnoxious and unnecessarily LOUD. Even with noise canceling headphones you can still hear it. I guarantee nobody would complain if the music were lowered. Most people listen to their own music at their preferred volume anyway. I’d love to go to a gym where I don’t HAVE to wear headphones to ward against the assault on my ears. Seriously, even the sauna room is not safe from the jacked up volume.

usually go to the gym in the mornings anywhere between 8am to 10 am and I’ve run into the same issue almost every time. There’s a trainer who brings a group of about 7-10 people and sets up a bootcamp style circuit across most of the downstairs floor. She puts out cones and ends up blocking off a lot of the equipment and weights. For about an hour to two hours it feels like half the gym is reserved for this one class which makes it really hard for regular members to get a normal workout in. It’s especially frustrating because the gym isn’t that big to begin with so there’s very limited space left for everyone else. If this is supposed to be an official class I feel like it should be moved to a designated studio room instead of the main floor so that all members still have fair access to the machines and weights we’re paying for.

I usually come to the gym between 8–10 a.m., and I’ve noticed a recurring issue that makes it very difficult to get a workout in. There is a trainer (not sure if she’s officially employed by the gym) who regularly sets up a circuit-style class with about 10 participants. She takes over nearly the entire half. Of the p downstairs area by setting up cones and stations, which means most of the equipment and machines are unavailable for close to an hour or two.
This has become very frustrating, as the gym is not large to begin with and this setup prevents individual members from being able to use the equipment they pay for. If this is an official class, it would make much more sense to hold it in the designated training/classroom area, rather than monopolizing the shared workout floor.
I really enjoy the gym overall, but this situation happens almost every day and has made the morning hours very challenging for regular members. I hope management can address this so all members can have fair access to the equipment.

If you opened the exact same gym next door with working WiFi…you’d have a good gym. Zero cell service. If you stream music or log workouts in an app, best of luck.

We couldn’t pay with our international card, they don’t accept cash, and they don’t take Apple Pay.

Has the potential to be one of the best gyms in the city but it'll never get there due to a culture problem. The staff are just there to collect a paycheck, hardly anyone cleans up after themselves. Equipment is always scattered everywhere doesn't seem like anyone cares. Great place to get a workout in but it could be so much better with a change in management and accountability from everyone.

I've gone to this gym on and off for 3 years. I've been to 2 of their locations and overall like it. That said, both times I've needed to cancel, they take multiple weeks to respond, while continuing to rack up weekly charges. Making it difficult to cancel a subscription is illegal and horrible customer service. They will be reported to the FTC for their bad practices.

I’ve been searching for a gym with tons of squat racks, deadlift platforms, and glute machines. This place is heaven. I was so excited when I walked down to the lower level. I can get a good workout in even when it’s busy. The sauna is now available in the women’s locker room and always look forward to it after my workouts. I like how the people here are serious about their workouts. It’s next level fitness to keep you motivated and engaged.

Amazing space with friendly staff, a superabundance of equipment and very high ceilings: I find they have a subtle, but expansive psychological effect where you can untether yourself more easily from a cramped frame of mind.
I also love that they don't have contracts; they aren't trying to rope you in so you end up paying for something you don't want against your will. I had a little snafu with a class pack that I purchased that was my fault and had little expectation that they would fix it for me but they went above and beyond and sorted it all out.

I cannot say enough great things about the Fast Twitch Class with Sakai at the Forum Midtown! Sakai is the only reason I make it to this class every Sunday—his vibe and energy are absolutely unmatched. He creates an atmosphere that is both motivating and fun, making every workout something to look forward to. Plus, his music selection is the best—it keeps you moving and makes the class fly by. I’m here every Sunday when he’s teaching, and it’s honestly become the highlight of my week. If you’re looking for a class that pushes you while keeping the energy high and the vibes positive, Sakai’s Fast Twitch class is it!

Car keyed in the parking area!
Just a warning about parking here. It’s not a very good idea unless you come very early in the morning for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I thought my car was safe with cameras everywhere but a random stranger keyed my car in the designated parking area. It was caught on camera but the security in charge said that they needed to protect the privacy rights of the person that did it, blatantly on camera driving up and getting out to key cars, and lied about it both to me and police about it not being on camera. Later when I could view the footage with police, they had removed the license plate and image of the person in the footage that they supplied so police said that they could do nothing and I was stuck paying for what ended up being a repair of several thousands of dollars. They solely put effort in protecting the vandal and preventing me from reimbursement for the damage.
Unfortunately the parking isn’t safe. It’s brutal due to very limited parking and tensions run when it’s busy. The trashy and sketchy people that come here think will go out of their way to damage your vehicle if it’s new or nice. Repair took two weeks and cost was over $3000. No one cared because I guess it happens so often.
Regarding WiFi: Bring downloaded music and noise-cancelling headphones because half of the gym is underground with zero WiFi service and zero cell signal. You need something to drown out the rap that is usually blasted at high volumes. The staff also has a tendency to set the temperature for their preference which is low 70s, not really caring that this is uncomfortably hot while working out and created humidity issues inside.

I went to this gym for a few months and was happy at first, but had to switch gyms because they were doing construction and it made the gym completely useless and inaccessible at peak times with how many areas were limited and shut off as well as multiple machines sitting broken for extended times. Additionally, a lot of members are very selfish and inconsiderate, and will sit on machines for a long times on their phone, talking to people, or super setting between multiple machines and get angry if you ask to use whatever they are blocking everyone else from using. Lots of weird egos and entitlement at this gym when we’re all there trying to accomplish similar goals. The clientele is just not very easy to work around and with.
I really enjoyed fast twitch with both Dan who is one of the owners, Sakai, and Patrick, who made the wise decision to leave. However, Bradon, who also teaches fast twitch is someone I absolutely do not recommend for any women. He is constantly touching women in the class from the time they enter until the time they leave, and I repeatedly asked him to not touch me, which he either chose to ignore or did not hear me over how ridiculously loud he was playing the music. This has been noted in other reviews, and other employees are aware of this creepy behavior.
To make things even worse, freezing or canceling your membership is absolutely impossible here. They don’t allow you to do it on site at the gym, they instruct you to email people who absolutely refuse to answer any emails. I have emailed no less than five times over the past month and have still not gotten any response on canceling my membership. I Would not recommend this gym to anyone, there are much better options for a much better rate. Not to mention, if you don’t live nearby and can walk… Parking at PCM is always an absolute nightmare of course.
Hoping someone will see this and finally help me cancel my membership, this is a very repetitive complaint in reviews of this gym. Horrible way to do business. Simone, who is supposed to answer client emails has a reputation for refusing to do so based on what other employees have shared.

The gym it self if good and I have had no issues with the facility or staff while I was going there, my only issues came when I tried to cancel my membership.
I first tried to cancel in person, then I was told I needed to email customer service. So I did, two weeks ago by and no response and I am still getting billed. So I go back to the gym and share my situation. They apologize and tell me to email again and someone will respond and they will refund me the additional changes.
So I tried again to email customer service and another two weeks go by and no response and still getting charged weekly. So I go back to the gym and again they apologize and this time they remove my credit card from my account so I don't get charged and ask me again to email customer service, so I do yet again.
I have still have not heard from customer service but now I get weekly emails saying I don't have credit card on my account lol
This is not how to run a business I hope someone from the leadership form the forum gym reads this and reached out to me as I have asked for a manager to contact me the two times I have gone back to the gym to cancel and I have yet to have a manager or anyone one from customer service contact me.

Head’s up if you book a guest pass online - while it doesn’t say anywhere online, you have to have a member join you in order to get. I was traveling for work and very excited just to use a treadmill for 30 minutes. Woke up early and drove over and paid for parking to be turned away at the door. They need to have better options for people this happens to, or fix the language on their website.

I went to get a tour of the place and I couldn’t even hear what the guy was saying because the music was extremely loud. He suggested we move to the front to discuss pricing and such but it was still super loud. I decided to tour myself since I couldn’t hear him. The lack of wanting to recruit more people was astonishing to me. No effort. I went at 11am on a Thursday and it was very busy considering how small the space is. I was going to do a trial but couldn’t stand the amount of people/ loud music so I left after 5min of being there. It was overwhelming.

Update: Now that I've tried other open gyms. I miss this gym. New, clean and good vibe.
I like this gym only when the capacity is upto 70%.after that it gets chaotic usually during these rush hours between 5-7pm in winters I mean like every machine gets occupied and you'll have to hold your rush before you move onto the next. Sometimes fast twitch becomes suffocating and humid.
The facility is clean and the staff are friendly. Would recommend only if you live in the area.

Small, but great gym with all the equipment a fitness junkie would ever need. However, I think the gym is a victim of its own success. The gym is now very very crowded in the morning and it's almost impossible to find space to lift. A 1 hour workout now takes me over 90 minutes to complete. There is always a wait for the squat racks and waiting for a spot to bench press takes even longer. I hope management will address the problems caused by this increase membership soon, but I am actively looking for another gym in the area in the meantime.

No one wears a mask at this gym. I am one of three on average out of 50 in the AM crowd. Just be aware of that if you join. No clue why they don’t take masking seriously. Other responses to reviews similar to mine say they follow GA policy but to be clear masks are not at all enforced. Nor is social distancing. They have bare-minimum signs around saying to keep a distance but that is near impossible with the amount of machines and people at the gym. Not sure about their cleaning schedule. They offer a spray and some towels but there seems to be just one spray bottle for the entire gym. Also it is usually packed but has not been an issue in terms of me finishing my workout.

Been a member since they opened -- still going great. My husband was a member but dropped off because he didn't use it enough. Cancelling his account was SO easy. Always clean. Nice and Bright too. Wish they had more stretching mats though (only 3 so mostly always taken in the mornings).
Dropped a point for COVID stuff - No one wears masks- at all. I know most ppl are vaccinated now, but they don't require or ask for us to state whether we are vaccinated and due to space limitations it's a lot of close up heavy breathing and I don't even work out in the fast-twitch room where everyone is on top of each other! Although most people who come are in the younger/fit/city demographic I would hope would be vaccinated, not knowing the % of members who are means I can only go at the worst times of day because that's when I hope folks won't get on machines next to me. I'm considering joining a different gym for the next year.

I joined the Forum about a month ago. I've enjoyed being able to use a gym again, however I am appalled at the sheer ignorance and cognitive dissonance employed by both patrons and staff at the Forum. When entering the gym, the staff does not bother to wear masks. In the hour- hour and a half I spend working out there, I don't see the staff follow through on any of the "extra cleaning precautions" they claim to make. I understand it may not be possible for them to mandate masks for patrons, but at least spreading out their equipment and mandating staff to wear masks to help people feel more safe would be wildly beneficial. I like going here but unfortunately with how careless they are about COVID I won't be returning.

The Forum at Ponce and the Lenox location are excellent gyms. I’ll start by saying that the facilities are always very clean, which is even more important now with COVID-19. I’ve been to the Forum >50 times and I’ve never seen dirty equipment or poor cleaning practices.
The equipment is new, it feels like they’re getting brand new equipment all the time. They have an excellent variety of free weights, machines, cardio equipment, cross training equipment, etc. They also make great use of their space - it doesn’t feel like the gym is overly crowded because the floor plan is great. Also the music is always great. I’ve seen some reviews that say it’s “too loud.” My opinion on this is: it’s a gym, having good music is a major plus.
The staff (both member services and the staff working the desk/cleaning) can’t be matched. They’re friendly, helpful, and easy to work with.
As long as I’m in the Atlanta area I’ll be a member at this gym, and I encourage anyone in the area to check it out.

Very poor COVID-19 precautions.
Before COVID The Forum was a pretty solid gym overall and a great one for the price. Plenty of equipment for the volume of users, not the cleanest gym I've used but clean *enough*. Staff was limited, sometimes a little spacey (i.e. just watching videos behind the counter), but friendly and responsive when I needed them.
When COVID hit they of course closed. I awaited to see what precautions they would take. I finally received the emails with details, waited to see some photos on social about how they were handling things, and decided to go back today at an off hour to see how it was. Now let me break this into two reviews, for those who do and don't support mask usage at a gym.
FOR THOSE WHO SUPPORT MASKS.
Masks are not required at the Forum. It's a bit deceptive too, because the first door you walk through (in the Ponce City parking lot) states masks are required. However the door to The Forum itself only says "Masks recommended". Staff had masks, patrons were maybe at 30% mask usage. This is a bummer, partially because of the reasons I will outline below for those who don't support requiring masks but still want to feel safe.
FOR THOSE WHO DON'T SUPPORT MASKS BUT WANT TO FEEL SAFE.
I found the Forum's policies to be a whole lot of lip service. Here's a breakdown of what I saw them do right and wrong.
RIGHT:
* Temperature check on check-in.
* Provide hand sanitizer at the check-in counter.
* Close down every other cardio machine to encourage some distance
WRONG:
* Did not actually rearrange any of the other equipment. Many machines are within 6' of each other.
* They did not add any new sanitization stations like they said they would (unless you count adding a bottle of hand sanitizer at the front counter). All they did was drop down a couple plastic spray bottles of cleaners at the existing wipe downs stations, which were relatively few to begin with.
* One of the sanitization stations is so close to one of the cable stations. If someone is doing rows their head is basically 2' away from the sanitizer bottle and towels.
* They did not rearrange weight plates for power racks. Most of the plates are in a tight corner of the main gym floor, which requires power rack users to walk past each other well within 6' to grab plates. In my 30minutes at a rack maybe half a dozen heavy breathing unmasked people walked within 6' of me. I would expect them to move the plate stands somewhere more central and/or add a second plate stand so users don't need to move through such tight areas to get plates (honestly this would be nice even outside of COVID times).
* They claim to be cleaning equipment regularly, but during the 90 minutes I was there, I did not see anyone come by to clean any of the equipment once. Meanwhile I saw 4 people cycle through the same power rack, and only two of them bothered to clean it either before or after they used it.
* Also on claiming to be cleaning equipment regularly, I am someone who usually wipes down equipment before use, even before COVID and even at upscale gyms that would clean their equipment every 15min or less. At those upscale gyms, wipe downs would generally produce a wipe with little to no residue. When I was doing this at the forum, there was always some brown residue, which pre-COVID, was whatever. That said, from this informal test today, my wipes were coming out just as dirty brown as they ever did at the Forum, which is not confidence inspiring for how frequently or well they are cleaning their equipment.
* In the men's bathroom, they did not block off the middle sink or urinal, meaning no distancing is enforced in the restroom.
CONCLUSION:
(A) Do the simple and lowest cost option of just requiring masks for all members.
OR
(B) Don't require masks but put in the effort to actually ensure safe guidelines like 6' distancing and sanitization is happening to the rigor to guarantee safety for members.

I’m a personal trainer, and love to nerd out at new gyms when I travel. This was one of the best. My partner and I bought a week pass which was affordable. I don’t remember how much, but the process was really simple. The desk staff helped us sign in each morning, no problem. They have a functional room with sandbags, kettlebells, and a weighted sled etc. There are three rows of cardio equipment, treadmill, bikes, stair stepper, etc. the weight room there are 2 Leg Presses, a couple Rouge Monster Racks, some specialty barbells, plenty of places to bench press, free weights, a nice cable station, and plenty of machines. There is a hip thrust machine that I’ve never seen, it will leave you plenty sore. The place was busy around 8-9, but I found that I was able to get everything finished without a wait. The only suggestion I have would be to have a dedicated place to deadlift.

I have been to many gyms in many cities, private and commercial, and the Forum shocked me. Everyone is incredibly nice, the classes are awesome, the facility is clean (and cool), and I’ve never had an issue with the machines. Also, the other gym goers are also great! If you’re an Atlanta local this is the gym to lift at.

I LOVE this gym! I am a gym rat and when I moved to Atlanta I checked out 5 or 6 other gyms that were awful. Then I found The Forum. Not only does The Forum have a plethora of equipment to choose from, the gym is always clean, the folks that run the front desk are extremely accommodating and it is always a pleasant experience! I highly recommend The Forum!!

Love The Forum at Ponce City Market! Great location that I can walk or drive to. Parking is included and you can shop when you are done! I am addicted to Fast Twitch. Its hard core with amazing trainers. The gym has a ton of equipment and is very clean. Staff is very friendly and energetic! Being from Detroit, exciting to have owners who are former Lions! Bonus!

The BEST gym in Atlanta, hands down! It is well-kept, clean and easy to get to! The machines and weight selection is perfect. It is a perfect-sized gym, where you don't feel too overwhelmed. The trainers and staff are awesome, but special shout-out to Keisy Myumi! We have been training together for about a year, and I have seen such positive results - physically and mentally! Thank you The Forum Midtown!!

If you know, you know. If you don't, here's why... It's really become such a home base for me ever since moving to Atlanta. The gym is extremely clean and it's never busy when I'm there. The team at the Forum have done an incredible job building a community especially when it comes to Fast-Twitch (which has become my religion now). I've honestly never felt so strong before I started going consistently and a lot of that comes from the trainers who have done an incredible job of motivating you to come back for more.

You will not find a better gym in Atlanta than The Forum. And you will not find a better class in the city than Fast Twitch! I go to both locations depending on my schedule and I’m never disappointed! Staff is awesome and the trainers will 100% get you the results you want!! Class times are convenient, prices are very affordable and the community you’ll build makes it worth every cent!

I love the forum it has something for everyone- if you want a personal trainer they have the best in Atlanta, if you want to come in and just do your own thing they have brand new well maintained equipment, if you like working out in group classes they offer some of the best classes out there, including my fave, Fast Twitch, which is 80/20 weight/cardio class focusing on lower, upper and full body different days of the week. Dan Owens, co-owner is usually there making you feel like your their only client! I LOVE this gym!!! I’ve made friends that live in my neighborhood because of them!!!

I moved to Atlanta over a year ago and have tried different gyms in the city. The Forum is fantastic and it’s CLEAN! This is the closest thing I’ve been able to find to an Equinox and suits my needs perfectly. I wanted to join a gym that had well spaced out free weights and a balance of cardio equipment. As a bonus, this place also has an turf room where there are fast twitch classes and equipment. This is one of the few gyms that has excellent weight equipment from squat racks, deadlift friendly weights, bench press stations, to dumbbells up to 115lbs. I’m very happy with The Forum.

This is a great gym. Centrally located so you can drive or access via the beltline. While the gym is a smaller than big box competitors, it feels way less crowded and there’s next a line for weights or equipment. The class selection is a bit limited but the classes they have are awesome. Fast-twitch pushes you to your limit and is guaranteed to whip you into shape. TRX with Mario is also a great class!

Great location with very nice equipment. The place is well attended but never crowded. Staff are friendly, and everything is kept very clean. I’ve done both LA Fitness and Snap Fitness, and Forum beats both by a long shot. I also like that they offer clean towels so you don’t have to bring your own - nice touch. Haven’t done any classes, but the weekly rate is very reasonable for use of the basic amenities.

Probably the best gym I have frequented. Tons of equipment, free weights and very friendly staff. I love the aesthetic of the facility and my favorite part of the gym is the space reserved for classes which features artificial turf (great for doing circuit training). What really sold me on this gym were the locker rooms. They are very well-maintained with individual showers and I love the free towel service.
