This studio not only has top notch instructors who provide modifications, adjustments, and fabulous sequencing, they also build community in everything they do. There are so many options, whether you want something more restorative and relaxing or to get your butt kicked a little bit. I am so grateful I happened to move close to this studio when I moved back to Athens many years ago.

It’s like coming home! Everyone there is nice. There is a great diversity in age, gender and body size. I’m plus size and other studios make me feel out of place. These people only care that you are taking care of your body. So welcoming! I became a member before my trial was up. I only wish I could go more. I’m disabled due to spinal surgeries, I have a pain pump implanted, I have fibromyalgia and RSD…and I can do some classes. It’s a perfect location with lots of parking. Come on and try them out! Can’t wait to meet you in class!

I LOVE Five Points Yoga in Athens! I have been going there twice a week for a while (15 classes so far) and it’s a great studio. It is very welcoming and it seems like everyone remembers my name and greets me. My main goal is to loosen up my stiff joints and improve my balance. I have seen and felt a lot of improvement. I have been taking Simply Stretch classes, but I now feel about ready to move onto some beginning yoga classes. I highly recommend this yoga/pilates studio and encourage you to give it a try!

I've been coming to classes here for about 8 months, this being my first time to regularly practice yoga in a studio. It has been a great experience, and a great place to develop a practice. Classes range from novice-level on up, and all of the instructors I've interacted with (7 or 8 of them at this point) have been really great, as have my classmates. This is a fantastic place, run by good people, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

It is a great place to learn and practice yoga. Centrally located in Five Points, there is ample parking very close to the studio.

The classmates are diverse in age and gender and that helps generate a positive class attitude which makes for a relaxed and supportive class environment.

The instructors are great and have a nice way to make a participant aware they may not be performing the pose quite correctly and what they need to do to correct it.

Highly recommended!

I have just completed 3 months Yoga Stretching classes. Over the past decade, I had taken yoga classes off and on and this year, I made a commitment to attend at least 4xweek. I can say that I am feeling so much more agility and am looking to the next step in the Fall when I start taking Iyengar Yoga classes. Naturally, it helps as I can walk to the studio but what makes is special are superb practioners and teachers like Brenda who keep an eye on you to make sure you are doing it right, Ann who tries to stretch us beyond our comfort and Caroline whose relaxation class is gentle but contain some strategic stretches to prepare one for Shuvasna. Best of all, after 3 months, I now have a new community of friends with who I can share time every week.

The availability of live-streaming for most classes is a great service. I highly recommend Five Points Yoga.

Chet's Iyengar Class was amazing- great work on shoulder stands at the wall with props and headstands at the wall with lift up of one leg and then the other and alternations. Well- planned, thought out sequencing. Cueing was great. I liked the different stance on the mat for Trikonasana. Half Moon at the wall with "bowing" was wonderful! Five Points Yoga is wonderful. I am over 40 and a runner (~15 miles a week when not training for a half marathon), so recovery has slowed down for meβ€”aches and pains are a regular fact of life. I started going to a stretching class about five months ago during a promotion they were having (two weeks unlimited classes). The first week, I just did stretching classes. That was positive and I noticed a difference, so I tried out some additional classes (yoga basics, slow flow, Iyengar). There are challenging maneuvers, but everybody is so positive and encouraging that I have rarely got frustrated. I get a great work out and have a good time. The instructors are very welcoming and affirming, and signing up for classes online is so easy. Lately, I try to go four times a week. Here I am, five months on, and I am feeling fitter, stronger, and more relaxed than ever!

Being a part of the community at five points yoga has been an integral part of my self healing journey. The people here are doing yoga for healing and growth of mind, body, and spirit - not for any pop culture purpose. The connections I've made with yoga instructors I've worked with have been authentic, and I always leave the studio feeling grounded in a truer and more genuine version of myself. If you're searching for a way to ease some pain (physical or mental) or are feeling overwhelmed and don't know where to turn, come try a class. You'll be welcomed with open arms. πŸ’™

Their prices are reasonable and they have some great introductory offers for new members!

Check them out! Treat yourself! You deserve it! Happy Spring!

Five Points Yoga is my yoga home in Athens. I've been to all of the other studios, and I greatly appreciate them; yet Five Points offers something different. There are classes for everyone: if you like the speedy, vinyasa flows or challenging power yoga classes, you'll find them here. But more importantly, you'll find instructors who are dedicated to the proper alignment of each pose and who take the time to help each student fit the pose to THEIR BODY, rather than the other way around. None of the classes are regimented; you'll find something new each time. If you want a studio where you'll dive in deep and get to know your mind and body intimately through proper alignment, this is the place for you.

Teacher training at 5 Pts Yoga offered a sense of community and insight into the traditional and modern practices of yoga. A thorough program that requires accountability and yet offers gentle guidance to bring out the best, I recommend this training for anyone who is serious about deepening their practice. You will learn about the origins of yoga, connect with others on their journey, and be given a safe space to practice creating and teaching your own yoga sequences. The group size is smaller and more intimate than other programs and enhanced by highly trained and experienced teachers. The staff is warm and welcoming - a great program for beginners and for more mature yogis! Shannon & Anne are a great team :)

I've been attending regular classes at 5 Points Yoga for years and it feels like home. The teachers are stellar and the space is beautiful. The teacher training course is a deep dive into the ancient wisdom and practices of yoga, as well as an opportunity to personally build a new community of peers and friends. This is my favorite Athens yoga studio!

I am so grateful to have found Five Points Yoga. The instructors are not only practiced and kind, they also have a strong understanding of the body and can explain the mechanics of each posture. I have never felt anything other than supported, encouraged, and empowered to adapt class as needed for my body.

Best Yoga studio in Athens, it's my favorite place to be, I like how all the teachers are different and amazing in their unique way. I am so grateful that I went there more than a year ago for a first class, and I never left, now it's a very important component of my self care routine. Best yoga classes by amazing human beings.

Such a great experience. A non-judgmental atmosphere for those who are learning like me, with modifications and options on the poses that may be a little too advanced at first. Calm, supportive vibes, and it is conveniently located for UGA students and Athens residents. So excited to go back for another class!

Five Points Yoga changed my life. I came to the studio as a fledgling beginner and the folks at this studio welcomed me with open arms. There was no judgement and no expectations. The owners, Debi and Shannon, are both inspiring BadassBossBitches who change the world daily by just existing. All of the teachers are incredible in their own way and offer so much in class to students. The classes are the perfect balance between intrinsic spirituality focus and the active moving practice. If you're on the fence about going to this studio, JUST GO -- you won't regret it.

I have been going to classes at 5 Points Yoga almost since it first opened. I highly recommend them. They offer a variety of different classes. I really like Chet Thomas' Iyengar yoga classes, but they have many other styles and can accommodate beginners and veterans alike.

Five Points Yoga is by far the best yoga studio I have ever been to. I tried to find a yoga studio in Atlanta that was as amazing while I was home for the summer and I couldn't find one that even came close to this studio. All of the instructors bring outstanding energy to each practice and thanks to them I have fallen in love with yoga.
