I had my 30th class with yonder and my first 7 am class at the Buckhead location with Ashley Freudenstein.

Sun Salutations at Sun salutations time is another experience all together. Salute to the person who curated this class time.

A word about today’s teacher, she’s a teacher: ie: she did her work, every student was connected, her words made sense, the detail was in perfect proportion to the class level and energy, and she was in it. Like in it and of it.

If I ever come to practice my 200 hour yoga teacher training from back him it will be because of her.

Excellent pedagogical skills. It’s one thing to know yoga; it’s another to transfer that love of yoga to other bodies, able or not. Today was the day I understood how my your strength works to balance the pendulum transition from tadasana to figure four chair, how that slight bend in the knee gives me control.

She started off with the yoga philosophy of how little things matter. This is why I’m making time to write this. Thank you.

I just completed my first month at Yonder Yoga - Buckhead. The classes are challenging and unique. They are not the same flows everytime. I love that they give you a cold towel at the end of class to cool off. Only downside would be that during a full class it can be cramped quarters in the studio.

Whenever I travel I'm always looking to try Yoga Studios in the area....I'm very spoiled with my home studio and feel like nothing comes close to my home studio....i finally found a studio that measures up 🙌 Yonder Yoga - Buckhead location was exactly what I was looking for. The class was challenging and very well structured. The heat was perfect and the playlist was very good. The staff was super friendly and made me feel very welcome. Jill was an amazing instructor....i loved chatting with Jill and Selby after class....i will 100% be back

Have been away from yoga for a little while (work, kids, life) and have also been focused on strength building (Pilates, weights, etc) over the last few years. Boy, was I absolutely blown away by how coming back to yoga made me feel so much better. Need a massage? Head to Yonder! Need Accupuncture? Head to Yonder! Need physical therapy? Head to Yonder! Need stress relief? Head to Yonder! Need to feel spiritually refreshed and re-centered? So glad to be reunited with the all-in-one powers of yoga and promise never take such a long break from yoga for again!

I am a huge fan of yonder Yoga. There are classes all day and every teacher is well-trained to offer a good experience. Unlike some studios, Yonder offers real teaching vs just doing yoga. Each class is for all levels literally, from beginner to advanced. The teachers are very supportive of brand new yogis but also give plenty of rein to seasoned practitioners who want to take the poses further. The room is quite hot and most classes are full or almost, so book ahead. The front desk is very helpful and friendly, too. This is not your average yoga studio, Atlanta is lucky to have them!

I started taking yoga classes here in October 2020, and over the last four years, I’ve hopped around several different yoga studios in metro Atlanta (no need to mention which ones). Many times, I would end up coming to Yonder immediately after taking a class elsewhere because I didn’t quite get what I was seeking.

The physical and mental challenges that Yonder’s instructors offer bring positive benefits to my work and personal life every time I practice. I’m calmer, happier, stronger, and less anxious. I can respond to things without letting my emotions taking over my actions, and my reactions to every day stressors are more peaceful. Physically, I can hold and play my instrument longer because I don’t get as easily fatigued as I did in pre-yoga life. With a stronger body, I can continue to pick up and hold my growing sons as they get bigger and heavier.

One of the best things about this studio is you get to practice with a lot of Yonder instructors! Seeing the teachers supporting each other really emphasizes a strong sense of community. Many other places, you only see the teachers when it’s their turn to teach. You rarely get to practice with them.

My only negative feedback is occasionally, the music is too loud (85+ decibels), and it becomes difficult to hear the instructor and their cues. Plus, exposure to 85+ decibels for an extended period of time can cause permanent hearing damage. Yes, I have a decibel meter on my watch. 🤓

Try their $40/30 days unlimited to find your favorite teachers, locations, and community. Maybe we can practice together one day!

Came here with my partner for our first hot yoga session together. Ms. Angel is amazing & made us beginners feel so comfortable going through the motions.

For the naysayers... I usually hate and I mean HATE hot weather, hot rooms, saunas, etc.

I personally adjusted quicker than I thought, because we're concentrating more on the flow/movement.

But you know what the most rewarding part is?

The end of the session, when they turn the huge fans on and the instructor gives everyone a cold moist towel... when you put this towel on your head while the room darkens and the fans whir, it is truly one of the most blissful moments one can experience and take refuge in - especially during a stressful work week or a "low" period of your life.

I've been doing hot yoga intermittently for the past 19 years and recently took a several year hiatus (kids, career, move, etc.). I was absolutely delighted when I discovered Yonder Yoga! It is EVERYTHING I was looking for in a hot yoga studio. Skilled instructors, consistently "hot" temperature, clean studio, and many extras like bags for wet clothes and curie body spray in the women's shower area. I'm hooked!

Overall, I enjoy Yonder at Buckhead. Depending on the teacher, the music can be a bit loud and hard to hear cues from the instructor. Also the no-show fee is STEEP, so be sure to cancel in adequate time if you’re not able to make a class. Most of the classes offered are fast paced vinyasa classes. I recommend doing the $40 new member offer to see if the studio is a good fit for you.

Their 2 minutes grace period is very unreasonable. Especially in Buckhead traffic. Most studios have a 5 minute grace period which is fair and something Yonder should incorporate.

UPDATE: I called to let them know my experience with the 2-minute late window and a 5-minute late window (which most yoga studios have) gives people a little more leeway. I understand yoga studios need to have some kind of late policy but at the end of the conversation, Dane was very dismissive and said "I'm done with this conversation. And honestly we don't want people like you at this studio." I immediately ended the phone call because that was a very mean and hurtful thing to say to a customer. I enjoyed the class when I had perviously gone but this is not a professional and appropriate way to run a business or talk to someone.

So happy to have found this place. It has all the qualities I was looking for in a studio. I have tried several instructors, and they have all been excellent. The classes are fast paced, challenging, and heated. The people in the room tend to be pretty advanced, which is inspiring and helps me learn new poses. The classes are full, but usually not too full. Each class has some spirituality sprinkled in. The cold towel at the end of class is a great touch. The location is convenient, and parking is easy.

Please let me start by saying that my experience at Yonder Yoga has been amazing. I am new to yoga and all of the instructors have all been engaging, knowledgable, highly competent and consistent... consistently good at what they do. It is obvious that, to a person, all want to be there and enjoy the art of inspiring others to perform at their best. The instructors that I have taken more than once have altered / tweaked the class routine in order to give participants variety in the Yonder Yoga flow. In a little over three weeks I have completed 13 classes with eight different instructors, (I only know this because the class bookings, by location and classes completed at each studio are displayed in the user friendly Yonder Yoga app.)

One instructor, Melissa, made a comment that resonated with me, "You have started your yoga journey." That is truly the way it feels. If you are interested in learning yoga you must give Yonder Yoga a try.

P.S. The studios are clean, fresh smelling, offer towel service and also offer mats if you don't want to buy a mat right away. There are private changing rooms / showers if you are coming from / returning to your office.

I have enjoyed coming here on weekend mornings for the first class of the day. The teacher is kind and calming and the heat is always just right. Not overwhelmingly hot but enough to sweat a good but and loosen the muscles. Sometimes the flow can be a little fast for me but I am comfortable slowing down and modifying as I need. The teachers are always great with hand on modifications if you prefer. Thanks for making Yoga such a nice experience here!!

I absolutely LOVE Yonder Yoga. As a first time yogi, I’ve attended 24 classes in the last 22 days. YY’s instructors and staff are so friendly and supportive, and as a complete n00b, I don’t feel timid or embarrassed to ask questions about anything at all.

I’ve tried 13 different instructors since beginning my “30 days for $30” trial, and I’ve learned something new not only from the teachers but also from my peers.

Try everyone. Also, another recommendation I have is to try BOTH Buckhead and Westside studios. They are different, but they are both fantastic. I like to change it up for variety in clientele and setting since many of the instructors teach at both locations.

**EDIT 2022.11.10**
Yonder now offers four convenient locations (with a 5th opening soon).

I spent these last two years taking classes, working the front desk, and I even enrolled in the 200hr YTT program and did the extra mentorship program with Theo. I no longer work for Yonder, so this is an unbiased edit to my review.

Over this period of time, I’ve discovered that there are teachers I really enjoy and teachers I don’t enjoy as much. Everyone is different, and everyone looks for different things. Yonder offers a wide variety, so try it out! There is something for everyone.

Yonder also has prenatal. Try Sarah! I learned a lot of safe modifications in those classes as I need help strengthening my pelvic floor (after having two vaginal births). It’s great for everyone, not just the moms and moms-to-be.

Hope this was helpful to you!

Beautiful studio. Classes are great, but they overbook each class. I wanted this to be my new studio and I’ll still visit occasionally, but the mats are so close together you can’t actually complete parts of the flow. I’ve been practicing for over a decade, and I have no issue being close to other students. In my last class the instructor actually said “if you have space to extend please do”, meaning we were so tight that everyone wasn’t provided enough space to actually complete the pose. A few poses later I had another student’s foot against my face. Too close, can’t stay zen after that. Maybe close classes at 4-5 fewer people? Give it a shot, you may enjoy the classes, but you’ll feel limited based on the space.

I joined Yonder with hopes of improving my flexibility/core strength in order to advance my weight lifting. Now, most weeks I’m usually here more than I’m at the gym. And, not only has my strength improved, I have a new sense of community as well.

You can be ABSOLUTELY SURE that I won’t be coming ever or to any Yonder Yoga again. I went to the Buckhead location once per friends’ recommendations and I was already not that impressed. As a rookie, the instructor gave no guidance to show or correct my moves. The room was also uncomfortably packed which is surprising while were still in the middle of pandemic.

My friend yet again convinced me again to come since the Dunwoody location just opened and was offering a free first class. I was 5 MINUTES late at the door and they still wouldn’t let me in. Great impression y’all! If you want packed rooms, no instruction, and absurd time policies, go to Yonder Yoga.

Just do it. I literally showed up one day and just never left. Its been almost 7 months now. I started at this studio with zero experience and the amount of growth I have seen in my personal life and in my body is indescribable. I think the reason why I love Yonder so much is that it just genuinely has an overall great community. We are all pushing ourselves and challenging our bodies to reach places they've never been before. I love how they constantly encourage you and continuously remind you that it is a practice and nobody's perfect, but we are all trying and that's what's most important.

But this review mainly goes to my tribe (Melissa J., Theo, Sarina, Maya, and Rachel). Each and every one of them has shined a light so special in my life, that even if I stop practicing it will live with me forever.

Melissa Joyce is absolutely amazing. I really dont know how she does it. She is so dedicated and such a hard worker and she really pushes you to challenge yourself to new heights. If you want to really build on your practice, take her class. Its hard and hot as hell, but you will not regret it.

Theo is just THAT guy. His energy is unmatched. His classes are also equally challenging as Melissa's but the flows are just insane and he just has a vibe you can't ignore. His classes are very unique in a special way. If you like great music to get you through, take it.

I really could go on, but if you are thinking about it, just do it. Its become a huge part of my life in such a positive way. This is the BEST studio in Atlanta, period!

Honorable mentions: Jess & Grace (they're awesome too! so if you're a super super morning person, go for it lol)

I was very impressed with Brook's Flow yoga class. She was encouraging and did a great job teaching the moves, as well as incorporating the importance of breath work. I will take more classes at this studio!

Hands down the best yoga studio. Anywhere. Ever. I have never been one to look forward to working out, but I have now incorporated practicing at Yonder every day, and I feel the energy from the minute I walk in the door to the minute I leave. It is the best part of my day and I am always excited to get to class. The instructors have become close friends and I crave the community. I'd give up my car before I gave up Yonder! I never imagined loving a yoga community and a workout like I do this studio. It is a gift, and we are just lucky to have it in our Atlanta community.

Best in Atlanta. Go to Melissa Joyce buckhead location for a burner you will not regret (maybe). Or Maggie Ellington if you want to experience Mind Boggling soreness (but make it spiritual)

I thought the Idea of hot yoga would be lovely. Something to get my blood going while calming me. However it was disgusting and over capacitated. This is not appropriate for a pandemic. Every moment I was there I wanted to leave because the person next to me was sweating grossly on me. I couldn’t focus on cleansing my spirit and controlling my movement while the person next to me sweat dripped like rain and the persons in the back kept coughing. I could have thrown up. Once we finished they immediately squeezed the floor dry and allowed others in. I’m not sure if that was sanitary at all. I was delighted for my experience but was merely disappointed at the end because of cleanliness. The instructor was good and the studio is beautiful but there should be a limit of 6 persons in one session it felt like a health code violation. Also I got the flu after this. Not blaming them but I’m not surprised due to how many people were present and how many times she or he coughed. . I don’t recommend this during a plan-demic the IDEA is lovely tho. :(

Beautiful studio with excellent instructors. I love the challenge of the flows, too. Two suggestions: 1) offer modifications for folks who might have knee or back issues and 2) keep the volume of the music lower so we can hear the cues better. Thank you!

I was introduced to yonder yoga by a good friend of mine. I’ve been going for about a month now and I love every bit of it. I typically do weight lifting or cardio for a workout, but yonder yoga taps into muscles that I’ve never tapped into before. I would recommend everyone try it out, especially at the Buckhead location.

Yonder Yoga Buckhead has been my absolute best experience for Yoga classes. The staff is extremely friendly and the instructors are very helpful and make yoga a fun / stress relieving experience. This is my favorite place to take Yoga classes and would recommend this place for anyone looking to try new fitness classes or experience yoga to its fullest.

Yonder is the most incredible yoga studio in metro Atlanta and probably the entire southeast. If you think otherwise, you probably didn't have the right teacher for you or don't understand art. I know what kind of response comes from that last statement, "If they're so great, then all their instructors should be right for you" Wrong. Not everybody wears the same-sized socks. Yonder is da best 4 sho.

Very friendly staff and challenging curriculum. But I’m giving 3 stars for the lack of covid safety measures. There was about 30-40 people in a very small, heated room, breathing very heavily. While, yes, I’m aware that I signed a waiver and it is the patron’s decision to come to class which is inherently risky, it should be incumbent upon the business to build in some sort of safety measures to at least try and minimize the risk. I was taken aback by the number of people this class was open to.

I’d love to see this studio open up vaccinated only classes or implement some sort of socia distancing as we’re still in a pandemic :)

I wouldn’t spend my money here! There are better places with better service and quality. The tall blond instructor was less than helpful. We had made a reservation as I was visiting from LA thought I’d get in a class, when arrived she couldn’t find my reservation and was less than pleasant, little bit of attitude as if she was annoyed to help. The class was over packed to say the least!!

*** You can’t find my name bc I gave her my nickname Alex on my paperwork. It was my first time in your studio. Nevertheless this place is not worth coming back to. It’s left a bad impression on me. Customer service is major for me, I wasn’t treated nicely, she asked me to wait on the side as if it was a privilege to get in her class. After the class was fully-over packed she said I could join. At that point where do you even place your mat? There was absolutely no room. It was uncomfortable and I did not appreciate that ***

I have been practicing yoga here for a month and have taken 9 different instructors classes. My favorite teachers are Selby who is teaching advance class (I would always learn sth new), and Darby who would always help me correct my form( made my practice go deeper!) I really appreciate the teachers who provide hands on assistance. The overall environment is great and scheduling is easy using their app.

I can't say enough good things about Yonder Yoga! The studio, teachers, and community are amazing. As soon as you step through the door you can feel the welcoming and calming atmosphere that truly makes going to class a retreat. I started practicing yoga as another means of exercise, but at this studio have found so many more benefits. Yes, the exercise is wonderful, but it has provided me a space and time to center my emotions and clear my head as well. I highly recommend Yonder Yoga to anyone looking for a Yoga Home.

The staff is friendly and the instructors are really great at what they do! You can tell everyone who works there is passionate about providing a great experience. The studio is clean and modern and the facility has great amenities (locker rooms with showers, sweat towels, mats, etc.). It’s a great studio whether you are just starting out or have been practicing for years.

I really wanted to love Yonder Yoga. The owner is extremely kind, facility is beautiful, etc.

I took advantage of the $30 for 30 and was able to attend 14 classes in the last month. The flows were incredible each time and classes were popular. Out of the times I’ve attended, I only received hands on adjustments twice... both by the same instructor, Dana. (thanks Dana!!!)

Tonight and my last few classes I observed most students get hand on adjustments but a few of us. I know I do not have the best form in yoga and wish I could grow in my practice here through better form/knowledge.

Yonder, I’ll be back but please work on encouraging your instructors to be attentive to those who wish to work on alignment and form.

Whether you're looking for a safe space to have an hour to yourself, a community to join, or to further develop your yoga practice, you'll feel at home at Yonder. The teachers are incredible, playlists are on point, and the vibe is always friendly! The space itself is clean and peaceful, with really cool back-lit mirrors that add some depth, and give just the right amount of visuals in case you want to check yourself (or neighbor) out. The classes will challenge you and are aimed to teach you something new, so you'll never be bored. I've practiced a lot of yoga, in various cities and countries, and Yonder is by far the best yoga studio in Atlanta right now!
