Excellent gym with a great selection of machines and a squat rack. Got two good workouts during my trip to Hilo and would definitely come back.

Very friendly and welcoming. $20 for day use, $35 for a week I think. We just did a day. It's a bit more of an older facility, and a basic, rugged kinda weightlifting gym. They had everything my partner and I wanted for a little lift session and then a quick WOD for some cardio. Very decently sized and had a big open area above for stretching/yoga if you wanted to. They said they had some classes too. We were the only ones in there for almost the 40 minutes on a Saturday morning (8ish), and then one other guy came in.

Old school gym with friendly staff and others working out. Gave me a fair price for 2 weeks. Never crowded at 0730 am time and sometimes had the gym to myself. Loved my morning workouts there. Thanks

We had arrived at the facility to purchase a day pass ($10 each) and was pretty underwhelmed about the whole experience. It was a large building and most of the weight lifting equipment was geared towards upper body. Not many weight plates w only 2 racks and 2 barbells. There’s a shared bathroom/locker room with no door so as a woman it was pretty intimidating. It had a sink to fill water bottles and the facility was also under remodel. Cardio room was pretty good. The staff was great and the facility was mostly clean. Membership was $55/month but you can get it covered depending on your insurance.

Great lil old school gym. I go here for their weekly Tahitian cardio classes when my schedule allows it but would love to use the gym side of it one day

Great gym if you are a real Lifter. No fu fu no trainers walking around trying to sign you up. Just good old fashion steel weight lifting equipment and the best NO AIR CON. Sweat like you should. I love this gym. The owners are awesome

The owners are a great family. There is a genuine interaction between the staff and members. It's also nice to see members working out and spend less time on cell phones. Thanks Andrew

This Gym was great at their last location but the New location has a terrible Bathroom and Shower set up. The area is set up to be Co- Ed with a flimsy sign that you flip over to show Male or Female and when you open the door you are Not able to Lock the Door Behind You. You then walk into a pretty big area with dirty lockers, a filthy moldy shower, toilet stalls with doors and standing dirty urinals. Walking in there creeped me out and I actually felt unsafe. The Level of Privacy is like Zero since you can’t Lock the Door. I wouldn’t feel comfortable showering or using the restroom in there because anyone could stroll right in. This is totally inappropriate and not worth a monthly membership to regardless of their intention to build new bathroom facilities. It would have been better not to offer a bathroom and shower area until the new ones were ready. I am really disappointed because I really did like this gym and when I bought my concerns up with the staff and manager I was not taken serious. Be Warned.

I love this "Old School" fitness gym πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ πŸ’ͺ. Lots of free weights and dumbbells. Also, the Cardo area is great, and I can work out anytime I want because Aintoa Fitness is open 24 hours 6 days a week. And the staff is very friendly and family oriented.

Aintoa Fitness responded to my review and let me know the NEW location is at 159 Kekuanaoa Street. Mahalo!

This review was for the OLD location: β€œI found the location on March 16, 2023 β€” all of the signage and equipment was removed.”

Love this place! Great friendly staff. Clean facilities and everything you need to get your workout on. It is also very reasonably priced. As long as I live in Hilo I will have a membership here.

Super friendly and hospitable staff! Friendliest reception I've had in a month of staying in Hawaii.

Old school gym, focused on classic exercises (free weights, SBD). Which is exactly what I look for in a gym.

I like how the staff and patrons are nice and polite. The bathroom and facilities are clean, the gym is open 24 hours during the weekdays, spacious, and has the equipment I need to do an effective workout. I like how it caters to both locals and non locals. I also like their location, close to a parking lot. I also get a kick out of the Hawaiian themed cartoon gym art ! Great gym!

Absolutely love this gym it’s a little old school but the atmosphere is super friendly! It may not have most gym equipment or showers but it gets the job done and you can’t beat the friendly people and non judgment zone of this gym. Not once did I feel judged in this gym everyone is so nice and friendly I definitely recommend if your looking for a lowkey gym that gets the job done that’s not too crowded.

This is the only 24 hour gym in Hilo! Gym has a nice vibe from the time you walk in. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Gym members are chill and you can tell everybody is working towards their goals. This gym is clean and I feel comfortable knowing that it is one of their priorities. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Nice clean gym, open ceilings, love how the staff and members are helpful and everyone seems to be having fun while getting our work on…The punching/kicking man is a good addition on the CrossFit side. It’s nice to even have a gym with a big CrossFit area.
