Hawaii Yoga Institute (HYI) provides nationally recognized yoga teacher training programs and continuing education courses that empower students and faculty to develop their unique yoga teaching style through service based yoga. HYI specifically reaches out to include students and faculty members who represent a strong diversity of race, class, gender, size, physical ability and spiritual traditions to inspire and empower them to model and teach skills for improving physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health for all people within their community.

I loved my YTT with HYI. The instructors are kind, immersed in the lifestyle, wanting to share their knowledge, and fun!!! One of my best decisions ~ learning more about life with this multi-style course. You won’t regret it!!!

I participated in the 200hr YTT at Hawaii Yoga Institute (HYI) this past July (intensive 21-day straight). I wanted to deepen my personal practice and expand my skills so I can begin my journey to teach. It was my first yoga training, so I don’t have an experiential comparison. I enjoyed it immensely! Courtney, Tara & Kilty were the core teachers that rotated leading the class. We had at least 7 other guest teachers that opened our understanding of different aspects of yoga, as well! For me, it unveiled the ‘mystery’ that I had imagined in my own head and taught me the universality and accessibility/application of yoga even though it has been practiced for millennia. We learned the history, philosophy, anatomy/physiology, variety and asana sequencing. It was an intense 21 days, but so worth it for all the things I learned and all of my wonderful classmates that took the journey with me. Thank you, HYI 🧘🏼♀️💕🤙🏻

Great school! Great teachers! It was a life changing experience & def worth coming all the way Fromm Germany to HYI! The teachers are great & create a safe, fun & inspiring atmosphere to become a badass yoga teacher or simply deepening ones own practice.
