I just called to get more information about classes and If I am not mistaken - Ray answered the phone . He didn’t sound interested in answer my questions and rushed me out the phone very rude. I just asked if they were offering in-person classes … no no … bye ? Not a pleasant costumer service .

Walked into the studio on a Sunday afternoon, just to check it out. I was greeted by Deb who gave her time so graciously to discuss my goals as well as my husbands. That personal connection really made a difference and I can't wait to start my first session here.

Ray and Shelley Madigan, owners of Iyengar Yoga Honolulu, are serious yoga practitioners of the Iyengar yoga method. They are, without a doubt, the best teachers in Hawaii and hold themselves to the highest standards. As a student, they have guided and coached me to learn this method with precision.Their classes are well organized, and structured to build on one pose after the other. By the end of class, the final pose, which would normally seem daunting, is attainable because the teacher has guided you through the preliminary phases necessary to prepare your body and mind. Any person serious about learning Iyengar yoga will benefit from their years of teaching and dedication.

Best yoga on O'ahu by far. Teachers here are certified through a rigorous system that takes several years beyond the 200 hour standard at most yoga schools. It shows with the detail and precision of each class. Instructors are friendly and can handle students at all levels. Great for beginners to learn the fundamentals of yoga postures as teachers here "teach" and don't simply do their practice along side you. Asanas, or yoga postures, are taught step by step.
