We have been with Jobette for a few years & the experience has been amazing. She works closely with my daughter to help her build more confidence & to feel comfortable around others. She is patient and understanding to the needs of anyone who joins. It’s all about building a community within that has teaches discipline, showing respect for one another & just having fun. You don’t have to join to to compete, but to keep active & to feel the sense of belonging!

Love this gym! They bring far more than just boxing to the community. From young kids to old uncles like me, everyone is welcome and embraced like family. No matter your skill set or experience, highly recommend!

This is an excellent gym to learn the fundamentals of boxing, welcoming people of all ages and skill levels. The atmosphere is both motivating and uplifting, attracting plenty of raw talent and energy. Coach is knowledgeable, patient, and truly dedicated—not just to teaching the sport, but to serving the community. She provides a safe and supportive environment where youth can grow, build confidence, and develop their skills both inside and outside the ring. I feel genuinely honored to have trained alongside athletes here at Humble Hands—it’s inspiring to watch what could be the rise of future local legends.

l've been to 2 other gyms here in Hilo. A well known one and one at waiakea rec center. Both do not compare to Humble Hands boxing club
The coach is a female and she really takes time to teach you things - Unlike the other 2 gyms where it's seems they just collected my money and left me on my own, she really gives you the attention you need. My only complaint is her prices are too cheap. Coach and this gym are by far the best there is in Hilo if not on the island

My son has been with Humble hands for less than a year now and absolutely loves his coaches Jobette & Tati!
This was a positive change for my son at 13 years old and getting into trouble in school, he is now able to at the least, defend himself and let his frustrations out in a safe environment and a positive environment.
He enjoys the work outs, his conditioning shows and Coach Jobette is very easy to work with and offers different classes & times for kids and adults!
The gym is right in downtown town Hilo near the Armory, very convenient for those in the Hilo, Kaumana and the Paipaikou areas. Kids can walk right to the gym after school!
The gym is clean and has a full bathroom for after practice if anyone needs to shower. This club is very family oriented which I love because SUPPORT from family and friends are so important for our youth!
Also, we do a lot of fundraising to help the keiki and the club reach their goals!!
My son won his first belt in Seattle this past year December 2024! and couldn’t have done it without Coach Jobette and Tati.
