I absolutely loved my experience at this studio! While on vacation, I took a Power Vinyasa Flow class with Chieko Garland, and from the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into my home studio. The warm welcome from the owner made me feel immediately at ease, and the class was fantastic—energizing, intentional and beautifully led. The studio itself is stunning, thoughtfully designed, and fully equipped with everything you need, including mats. I only wish I could practice here every day!

Extremely disappointed to have to warn everyone to stay clear of this place. They tried to rip me off for over $1200 of unused “membership” charges that I did not sign up for, authorize or use. I bought a promotional 1 time package of yoga for someone visiting Maui and without my authorization, Island Power Yoga then put that person on a monthly contract using my credit card without anyones knowledge. They also doubled the rate to almost $200/month! The person didn’t even live here and was not on island while Island Power Yoga was charging my credit card for 8 months for a membership that no one was using. I never signed a contract with them and had no idea this was even happening! When I contacted them and asked them to return my money they first tried to offer me 2 months of “free” yoga. After weeks of fighting with them they finally agreed to refund only 2 months of fees and then stopped relying to my emails altogether. I had to dispute the other 5 months of charges with my credit card company because Island Power Yoga refused to do the right thing. This is not how you run a business or treat local residents. Do not go here and always check your credit card statements very closely!

I took my first class at Island Power Yoga today (in studio). The studio is small, quaint and clean. I recommend arriving a few minutes early to familiarize yourself with parking and finding the studio.

The staff was kind, friendly and helpful with my questions as a newbie to the space and showing me around for the first time.

I highly recommend sculpt yoga with Charlotte. Her energy is uplifting and inspiring from start to finish.

✨Bonus Tip- First trial week free for Maui residents (available in studio only, not online- I was advised to walk-in/ drop-in as most classes have space). This is a wonderful way to get a feel for the space, classes and teachers.

I look forward to returning and sharing with my community.

The first time I came to IPY, I did not know what to expect. It’s always intimidating going into a new studio. But I was immediately welcomed by the owner, instructors and other students! Fast forward a year and a half later and I just finished sculpt teacher training! The encouragement from the teachers and community made it an easy decision. I started out a couple of years ago with a free community class (just to try it!) offered by IPY and I was instantly hooked from there on. I had never taken a yoga class before because I didn't think I'd be able to physically practice the poses due to previous hip surgeries BUT, there are so many modifications that have worked out perfectly. I now take anywhere from 3-5+ classes a week from vinyasa, sculpt, yin, and restorative, with various instructors. The instructors are EVERYTHING. They are incredibly knowledgeable and SO good at what they do. I always leave feeling recharged and happy. Thank you, ladies, at IPY!

Awesome studio! Instructors are friendly and they give detailed instructions and optional hands on adjustments to help you position yourself correctly for each pose. Also, the design of the studio and music used in class makes it really easy for you to relax during yin, restorative, and at the end of vinyasa when you're lying down in Savasana. On a side note, if you like the yoga in Tony Horton's p90x program, the heated power vinyasa classes are great! Especially with the music they use, it makes the process of flowing from one pose to the next really enjoyable!

Visited Kihei for a week and found this yoga studio online. I really liked the times of the class offerings. I also thought it was nice to have serval class packages to choose from. Classes were all wonderful. I feel like beginners to advanced yogis would feel comfortable in the space and with the instruction. This will be where I practice when I visit in the future! The infrared heated yoga exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed it a lot more than the traditional heated yoga. It is also a more sanitary option. All the instructors and classes are amazing. They have beginner classes, advanced classes and everything in between. They also host incredible events. The best part was my experience with Cheiko. She followed up after my first week of classes at the studio. You can tell she cares and wants to make sure that all of the yogis have an awesome experience. You can def feel tha aloha!

A beautiful studio, with a nice modern feel. Put together really well with mirrors covering the entire side of the studio and infrared lights coming from the ceiling. With the variety of classes all day, 7 days a week, this place allows you to incorporate yoga into a busy schedule. Ive had the pleasure of taking classes from jany, brie, jamie, and chieko who are all incredible instructors who bring their own wonderful and unique style into your practice. I really loved how chieko is very detailed in every pose. Teaching you what to be focused on for minor adjustments to fully benefit from the pose and help you deepen and understand your practice. Visiting for 10 days from Calgary, Canada, my mom and I (age 41 and 71) LOVED this studio for daily practice each morning. It was near our VRBO. The owner Chieko and instructors Elise and Jany were excellent and made us feel like part of the community. Perfect for all levels, we were both challenged and motivated to continue our practice when we return back home from vacation. We cannot recommend this studio enough, and plan to return for daily practice on all future visits back to Kihei!

Amazing studio! I have not practiced yoga regularly for over four years. I was a little nervous at first and so I really appreciated how the instructors provided modifications to meet me where I was at. It’s a fun and supportive environment!
