This location is well lit and maintained. The men's shower 🚿 heads are missing or malfunctions often but this location recently updated and upgraded the work out equipment. The hours of operation fits my lifestyle however I find myself having to workout before 5am to avoid the crowds. The guest maintain a friendly protocol while working out. Guest here are serious about working out and DON'T waste time posing for Instagram & social media . I work out mostly on my arms and upper body. There are trainers available if you desire a workout routine. New machines & equipment adds to the Planet fitness concern for your over all well being and work out harmony. My only request is that they remain open 24/7 but I realize that is easier said than done

Mahalo to all the workers there at the Wai'anae Planet Fitness for always keeping the gym clean and stocked with what we need. They are the first people you see when you walk in and they are always so friendly and welcoming. It starts off my gym experience with a smile and I really appreciate that. Planet Fitness Wai'anae is a great gym to use because there are so many equipment options. I can always mix and match my routine and still have an opportunity to use so many different exercise options. The equipment are in good working conditions, and the gym is not too crowded, so even if I don't have a lot of time to workout, I can still make great use of my visit there. In fact, even when the gym is a little crowded, the people there have a great gym etiquette (with reminders posted that this is a judge free zone! Mahalo Planet Fitness!) and most times it's not a very long wait to use a particular machine. I actually feel confident in this gym facility, and know the staff are doing their best to provide us a safe and healthy environment. There was actually an incident at the gym once where lockers were being broken into. The staff were notified, and very soon after, I heard that problem was taken care of, very professionally. I haven't seen that problem since, and my belongings are safe. So far, in my time at this gym, it feels like a great place to be for people that are trying to make healthy changes to their lifestyle.

I have the basic membership level. the $10 per month price is the best value for money that I've ever spent. Planet Fitness Waianae fits my schedule and fitness needs perfectly. The staff is always friendly and pleasant when I check-in and when I leave. The equipment and work out areas are clean and well maintained. Members are courteous and are very good about wiping down equipment and re-racking weights when finished.

I recently started taking the free scheduled fitness classes to mix things up and get used to some of the other machines available. Lei, the on-site trainer is great, she's super friendly. She tailors the workout to your needs and pushes you just hard enough to get a good "burn". I would definitely recommend you check out some of her classes. #FitnessGoals

They have recently expanded their equipment inventory (specifically the seated calf raise machine and the hacksquat machine) I think it could be just a bit better if they added a plate loaded calf press machine, a standing calf raise machine a decline chest press machine and a plate loaded tibia calf raise machine.

Staff is nice. All staff members say hello and even say goodbye on your way out. Had no problems with staff members. They keep the place clean, and the restroom is clean. I see the staff stocking up hand towels and spray bottles to clean the equipment. Enjoy exercising with my community. I didn't want to go in the beginning. I thought there would be dramas at the Planet Fitness, but the club members are there to exercise and leave. So I feel safe at the gym. Barely any free weights (no barbells) and the Smith machines are almost always taken. There are only two foam rollers for the whole building. Overall, the gym is good for anyone looking for a basic workout. However, it's hit or miss for those more serious and a bit disappointing for those looking for free weights.

I live in Kapolei, so PF in Waianae for me is easy to reach. I still wish we had one in Kapolei :-)) There is plenty of parking. Inside there is the typical PF setting but offers ample space. The staff is very friendly and helpful (I'm a rookie to the gym) and the people who are working out there are very friendly. I love the spa and the way the hydro massage beds and massage chairs are set in private nooks. The redlight body enhancement booth and the tanning booth after the workout are a wonderful addition. Very pleasant experience.

Absolutely love this gym! At first I was mad that they took over a portion of the local hardware store during construction. But after I actually went in, I was so amazed and pleased. I thought it was just a "circuit type" gym I've seen before, but this place is so much more.

I love how all types, all ages, all fitness levels can find a home at this gym. It is a super positive place and even very healing with the hydrobeds and massage chair options. The staff are amazing, friendly and supportive. They are the absolute best.

This gym is a wonderful part of my life and I have learned a lesson not to judge too quickly. Besides, the hardware store streamlined and actually, in my opinion, became a better store. Everyone needs a challenge to be better and if you're thinking of a gym or challenging yourself, you should definitely walk into a Planet Fitness and give it a chance.

I worked out for two weeks straight and got a job call on Kauai so I have to cancel. Thought all was good until I checked my account and notice I was charged 3 different times 1 for the initiation charge one for a monthly charge and 1 for an annual charge which I think is wrong being that I only worked out there for 2 weeks then canceled because I had to work on a different island But Yeah totaling almost a hundred dollars and they don't wanna give it back lol and get this, I asked if I go back would I have to pay the annual again? Dear Planet Fitness-Waianae,

I wrote you this letter, since you insisted. I hope it finds you well, so I don’t have to mail another one. I didn’t know people still mailed things. I thought the mail was just for amazon packages, junk mail, and identification documents. But I guess they have other stuff too.
It’s been a long time. I know that we haven’t seen each other for a couple of months. I’ve moved back to NC, so I think we should call it quits. Our relationship was decent while it lasted. But I like powerlifting movements, and for that I need a barbell. Also, there were like 30 treadmills, and often only 2 of them were being used. I frequently had to wait for lifting equipment. Maybe I should have been more patient, but I feel like we weren’t meant for each other.
I wanted to do this in person. While I wish I could say that I didn’t, because I couldn’t stand to see the hurt on your face. But really, I just forgot before I flew out. Also, I thought breaking it off would be easier, logistically. I still have the personalized app on my phone that you gave me. Remember? It’s the one that creates personalized QR codes, so that you would know exactly when and how often I was entering you. I remember how proud you were that you were such a futuristic thinker; open minded. Sometimes, you would even let me bring a friend. That was always fun. Why can’t this app cancel memberships? It’s set up to my personal cellphone, so it’s not an identity/security issue. I’ve had other relationships where I could cancel by app, phone, or email. I thought we were going to have more fun, like Netflix and Chill. But this cancellation process is more like Planet Fitness and Waste My Time(my time is very valuable, which is why writing this letter is additionally frustrating) DO YOU THINK I HAVE A PRINTER, ENVELOPES, AND FOREVER STAMPS JUST WAITING AT MY HOUSE???!!! IT’S 2022!!! DO YOU THINK I HAVE 15 MINUTES TO THROW DOWN THE TOILET???!!! I actually do have all that, but that’s besides the point. I’m sorry that I got angry. I’ll try to say it like the couple’s therapist said. I FEEL very angry, because I find it to be incomprehensibly asinine that I have to communicate via snail mail to you. Especially when you are 4,800 miles away with an ocean in between. Why don’t I just fly you a messenger pigeon? It’s obvious that you cared more about keeping the relationship going for my money, instead of thinking about my convenience. I think that’s where we fell apart. Relationships are about communication, adaptability, and meeting each other halfway.
I wish I could say that it’s not you, it’s me. But it’s you. And the whole long distance thing never works. I’ll think about you when I look at my Planet Fitness app, until I get some confirmation that this is all over. Then I will uninstall it from my phone, as conveniently as I should have been able to cancel this membership.
